Workers throw security error when using File class

I am creating a program that is writing/reading large files using the FileStream class. This portion works fine but when I want to use concurrency to prevent the UI from locking it fails. When I check inside Adobe Scout I can see the worker fires a secuirty error.
SecurityError: file
at flash.filesystem::File$/getFile()
at flash.filesystem::File$/get userDirectory()
at Main/archiveFile()
at Main/onMessageToArchiveWorker()

Could you please open a new bug report on this over at bugbase.adobe.com? When adding the bug, please include sample code or an application so we can quickly test this out internally. If you'd like to keep this private, feel free to email the attachment to me directly ([email protected]).
Once added, please post back with the URL and I'll follow up internally.
Thanks,
Chris

• Windows Security Error when moving files on a file server

We've recently added a new domain to our environment and have migrated user machines onto the new domain. We have a 2008 file server that is still on our old domain. When anyone tries to move a file within that server a Windows Security Error pops up
saying "Your Internet security settings suggest that one or more files may be harmful. Do you want to use it anyway?" This even occurs directly on the server from my old account credentials.
Changing Internet/Intranet zone settings or Enabling Launch applications and unsafe files had no affect. I checked gpresult/rsop local security policies and gp policies all on the client and server side and couldn't find anything that seems related
to this error. Any help would be appreciated.

I was able to solve this by adding our domain suffixes along with a wildcard to trusted sites in internet explorer through group policy.

• Compile error when using a class by fully-qualified name

Hi... Is it an AS3 "feature" or a FB compiler bug that I cannot use a class without importing it?
I have a statement such as
if (de.codebank.util.StringUtilities.startsWith(status.name, phase.name+"_"))
which does not compile until I import the StringUtilities class, which is pointless, of course.
The compile error mentions an unknown property "util"

I believe this is how AS3 works. Fully qualified class types require import statement.
You use fully qualified name whenever you want to avoid ambiguity.
However, when the code is like,
import mx.collections.XMLListCollection;
var arr:mx.collections.ArrayCollection;
It works since compiler now understands that "mx.collections" is a package.

• Permission errors when using File Sharing

I am having permission errors when trying to transfer from Mac to Mac over the network using Filesharing.
I mount the other computer, but when I try to copy I get:
"You may need to enter the name and password for an adminstrator on this computer to change the item named "xxxxxx""
(but I am signed in with adminstrator accounts)...I click continue then get:
"The item "xxxxxx" contains one or more items you do not have permission to read. Do you want to copy the items you are allowed to read?" ....I click continue then get:
"The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient privileges for some of the items"
thanks

I had to reset the permissions on the "other" machine as well using the Installation boot disk.
That seem to fix the issue.

SomeObject so = null;
// ... some more code ...
so.someMethod(); // No can do! A NPE will be thrown!

• Error when using File protocol

Hi,
I have set up ACME (Host) and Vision (TP) to send an xml file using "Custom Document over Generic Exchange". I post a file to the inbound queue using the tutorial shell script. The file shows up in the /tmp/b2b directory that I set up. However, it gets deleted in about a minute.
The transactions shows as completed under "Business Message Status Report" The error report shows: "Document protocol identification error."
The debug log shows the following:
<Exception xmlns="http://integration.oracle.com/B2B/Exception" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
<correlationId>null</correlationId>
<b2bMessageId>0A0428AA10EA56E70720000017C970F0</b2bMessageId>
<errorCode>AIP-50083</errorCode>
<errorText>Document protocol identification error</errorText>
<errorDescription>
<![CDATA[Unable to identify the document protocol of the message ]]>
</errorDescription>
<errorSeverity>2</errorSeverity>
The ack mode is set to none. Why is the iB2B trying to read the message after writing to the output directory?
Thanks in advance.

Hi
This could be due to the fact that you have used the same endpoint for Vision and Acme.
The flow seems to be as follows
- Enqueue message into Queue
- Acme B2B picks up the message, finds the message is for Vision and drops it into the endpoint defined for Vision (endpoint taken from the Delivery Channel created for TP Vision). Till this it seems as expected.
- Acme B2B polls on the endpoint for it to receive the message ( this is endpoint taken from the Delivery Channel created for Host Acme).
- If there is a file in the endpoint directory, it will be picked by Acme B2B.
I feel you have the same endpoint given for both Acme and Vision. Please try the following
- Change the Vision endpoint to /tmp/vision
- If the endpoint had been used as "use exsiting" then even the Acme endpoint would have changed to "/tmp/vision", so please create a new Delivery Channel for Acme and set this endpoint to "/tmp/Acme".
Hope this helps.
Cheers
-Arun

• Getting error when using Pathset class in jdeveloper 11g

i have implemented the code for maintaining the tree state across requests. I'm using Jdeveloper 11g and the problem i'm having is that i cannot use the following import statement : import oracle.adf.view.faces.rich.model.PathSet
The error i'm getting is "import oracle.adf.view.faces.rich.model.PathSet; not used or not found"
i'v tried replacing the above import statement with : "import org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.PathSet" but i get the error "import org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.PathSet" not found
can someone help me plz?
chaj

Hi,
JDeveloper 11 related questions have their own forum
JDeveloper and OC4J 11g Technology Preview
The JDeveloper 11 RichTree does not use PathSet but RowKeySet to keep track of the selected state. A property on the tree component allows you to set the selected state by referencing a RoKeySet e.g. in a managed bean

import flash.events.Event;
import flash.events.MouseEvent;
import flash.events.TimerEvent;

Looks like you imported events.Event but not events.MouseEvent (or some similar syntax) basically you must import MouseEvents separately from other Events.

If you are using JDeveloper then remove the following file:
<JDEV_HOME>\j2ee\home\jaxb-rt-1.0-ea.jar
<JDEV_HOME> is the location where you have JDeveloper installed.
When you compiled your classes, you compiled them with JAXB 1.1 libraries in the JWSDP 1.3.
When you were running your classes within JDeveloper, OC4J looked at the jaxb-rt-1.0-ea.jar library before looking at the libraries in WEB-INF\lib, causing the IncompatibleClassChangeError.
Hope this helps.

• I keep receiving security errors when trying to open a pdf.

I keep receiving a security error when trying to run my javascript program, the function previously worked, but now creates an error after I entered the addWaterMark function. I have put my whole code below for my script.
The basic function is to load a text file into an array which has the path and file location, open the document, add a watermark, save the file, close the file, then repeat for the next array position.
I am using Acrobat Standard so I am unable to debug using the console, therefore I am struggling to understand what I am doing wrong. I will point out that I am not a fluent programmer, only have a basic knowledge of programming.
Code

var listOfFiles = []
listOfFiles = importData()

I have found the error, you are quite correct I had an extra letter in the filename, I thought I'd checked this but just shows that sattention to detail is the key.
The script works perfectly now, thanks you for your help, really appreciated.
Thanks again
