Workflow costum tag approval

he
i did find out how to make a workflow to approve new and edited files
im busy with making a SharePoint page with all of the manuals of the organization but maybe later i will covert it into a knowledge base.
for now i made 2 custom column the first column is tag and the second department
question:
how can i make a workflow to send a request for approval to the department manager when i use a certain

Hi Arie,
What's the type of your custom column tag?
If it is a single line o string type, then you need to type the value in the workflow.
If it is a choice column, then you can choose the value you want in the workflow.
You just need to add the action Start Approval Process in the workflow, then you will get the Approval.
To get the corresponding manager in the workflow, we need to use the Workflow Lookup for a user.
I created an extra list called user to store the department and the manager.
Best regads.

    Hi,
An option would be use Oracle Alert. Create an event based alert on the table where you have order approvals or rejections. This alert will be raised after inserting or updating this table. Create an action linked to this alert, and choose message as action type.
This setup can be done under Alert Manager Responsibility.

  • Workflow for Document Approval

    Hi all,
I'm a newbie to SolMan and is trying to figure out how to implement a workflow for document approval. A similar question has probably been posted in the past, but I can't find a definite solution, only some hints.
Basically, what we're trying to achieve is the following:
When a document is uploaded using SOLAR02, and the creator of the document changes the status to ready for sign-off, we would like to trigger a workflow which will send an email to a couple of persons who are responsible to approve the document. We already implement the digital signature, we just want to add an automatic email notification to be sent to the approvers.
Based on my research, it seems that this is not supported by SolMan and hence we have to do a custom development.
There's an object key called SOLMANDOC and we should raise an event (something like SIGNATURE_PROCESS_START) to send an email notification to the approvers. Can somebody confirm whether my understanding is right ? Does anybody know the name of the BADI that we can modify to achieve our goal ?
FYI, we're using SolMan Rel 7.01 SP 19.
    Thanks in advance
    Lara

    Hi Phil,
I'm facing with problems with creating a simple 2 steps release strategy.
the problem is I cant approve the last step of the release.
    This is what I did:
    In spro Digital Signature->Signature strategy:
in "Define Authorization groups" I create this entries:
    1. EING
    2. VERIF
in "Define Individual Signatures" I create this entries:
    1.  S1   EING
    2.  S2   VERIF
in "Define Individual Strategies: I create this entries:
    SigStrat: ZSIGSTR
    Signature Method: R
    Display comment: X Required
    Display Remark: X
    Display document: X
    Verification: not checked
    in "Assign individual signatures"
    CtrIn  Indiv.SIG.      AGrpDIG
    1          S1               EING
    2          S2               VERIF
Display Predecessor for Ctrln is 2 is 1
for "Display release statuses"  an entry with one line with the value 1
and in "Display individual signatures there 2 entries 1 and 2.
in spro "Define Document status schemes"
    stat scheme "ZSIGSTR"
    4 status:
Status                 init status      Sequence    Low     High       lock         Signature schma  End status         Cancel status
    COPY_EDITING       X                  10           10       20          -
    REVIEW                                     20           10        40        X                    ZSIGSTR         RELEASED    DECLINED
    RELEASED                                30           10        40        X
    DECLINED                                  40           10        20
I created two roles with object c_sign_bpr one with the value "EING"   and the other with the value "VERIF"
I assign this status scheme to a document type in my project.
I tried to release a document the first step was the author of the document move the status to "REVIEW" and I got a window that i need to enter my password and it worked ok.
The problem is in the second step that I need to release the document (now is in a REVIEW status) When I press on the icon in order to release I didn't get the option to release only to cancel there is no "V" option in the small window.
Can you please tell me if I did a correct customization? also can you tell me if my problem is maybe missing authorization? Can you direct me to reading material or to an example?

    Hi
I have requirement to Create one workflow ( *2 level approval - manager and financial manager).* And escalate it after 1 day to Financial manager's supervisor
I have no idea about escalation through BPEL Compoiste in OIM
Can please any help me out

The status can be alerted and the task assigned to weblogic due to a fault in your process. Without looking at your process or the exception, it can be difficult to say what went wrong, but check if you have the user in the system to whom you are trying to assign the task to.
As for escalation, you need to go through that link to configure escalations and in escalations you can select management chain as the route. This would escalate it to manager's manager if the manager does not work on the request for specified time. For other requirements around escalation, you will have to first get a basics right and working for you. Once you are done with that, you can post here any questions which you might have about making the complex ones and we can try to help.

  • Workflow SharePoint 2010 -Approval workflow for multiple users

Want to create a 2010 SharePoint server workflow which will allow me to send email once item is added > Start approval process > if approved then mark workflow status as approved and then send email to reviewer 2 and again start the process of approving
    > and approved then again mark status to approved and send email to reviewer 3 and mark status to approved if approved by reviewer 2 and end the workflow. Also, if the item is not approved by any user, then it should directly log a comment and go to end
    of the workflow.
I had started as something like :
    Send Email to rev1
Start approval process for current item with rev1
    if approval status is approved
    set workflow status to approved
send email to rev2 and so on...everything works but when rev1 rejects the item, then workflow does not go to end of the workflow. One difficult thing is we don't have go to a step option like in 2013 workflows.

  • Inbound Workflow Mailer Tags not discarding messages

Our workflow mailer tags don't seem to be discarding undeliverable messages. we have a few closed PO notifications that are being returned with "Undeliverable:" subjects, and "Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups" in the body.
I have added the Undeliverable and "Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups" to the tag list in Notification mailer setup, but it makes no difference. I have added the tags, and refreshed the mailer but the messages are still coming into the PROCESS folder instead of being put in the DISCARD folder.
I posted this thread previously and it never received an answer. I was hoping someone else had the issue now and could provide some insight.

  • Workflow for PR approval and rejection with comments

    Dear Experts,
We have implemented SAP standard workflow in DEV server for PR item release i.e WS00000038, when I reject a PR notification is not sent to initiator.
If I see In SWEL - When a PR item is rejected system is picking up step "PR item significantly changed" instead of "Item release cancelled"
1.Approval notifications are getting to user's SAP inbox but not rejections.
    2. We have to capture user rejected comments in workflow which again will be sent to outlook of user. How this can be achieved?
Need your help in this regard.
    Thanks,
    Uzair

    Hi,
Item release is configured for PR
My problem is when user rejects a PR line item notification is not sent to initiators sap inbox  - though approval notifications are working fine.
When I see event trace for this activity in SWEL its showing me as
BUS2009 Rejection start  - No receiver entered
The receiver data shown is empty in the log.
How can we maintain receiver data for this one since we have used standard workflow - WS00000038
Please help me in this regard.

  • Out of the box workflow of type Approval - SharePoint 2010 not recording approver comments

When I am implement my approval workflow, two new fields are created - Approval Status and Approver Comments.
The Approval Status field gets a value of either Rejected, Pending, or Approved.
The Approver Comments is not getting any value, even though I am entering comments in the popup approve workflow task and those comments are appearing in the emails sent.
Why do the comments not show up in the item's Approver Comments column?

    Hi,
    With
SPWorkflowAssociation.AssociationData property, we can get the assignees’ information. Your script can
be able to retrieve a XML format data which contains the user name we need:
So the next step would be getting the user name by parsing the XML data we got.
The two links below will show how to parse XML with PowerShell:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18032147/parsing-xml-using-powershell

With the user name, we can get the

  • Process Controlled Workflow - 1-step approval for shopping cart approval

    Hi,
I have configured a one-level approval for SC (Process Controlled Workflow):
    Object Type: BUS2121
Additional 1 level under schema: 3C_SC_600_000 (the last level is the automatic approval)
    Level Type: Approval with completion
    Eval ID: 0EV_SC_SL1
    RR Name: RR_SPENDING_LIMIT_APPROVER
RR Param: USTONY.Y (I hardcoded it using my user ID, for the moment)

Once the SC is ordered, the whole step is gone and the event linkage becoming delinked (because there is error, and according to the config in SWEQADM).

  • Calling the Adobe form in a workflow step for Approval

    Hi All,
We are creating a PCR scenario using Adobe forms for "Employee seperation". This form will require 7 subsequent approvals from various agents which is to be handled using a workflow.
I had gone through the ISR cookbook and managed to create a scenario. I have also assigned it to a PDF form and a dummy workflow. Now from my PCR iview i am able to submit the form for my scenario which also triggers the dummy workflow(through the BUS7051-CREATED event).
Right now this dummy workflow just sends a mail(by sendmail step) to the first approver. Now i want this workflow to send a workitem to the first approver for approval of this form which will have to appear in his UWL. When the approver double clicks on the workitem in UWL he should be able to view the form along with Approve/Reject/Cancel buttons. I am not aware how to do this. My questions are,
<b>Is this handled by a decision step or an activity?
If it is an activity step which Task/Business object method is used to handle this?
If it is a decision step how do we make the Adobe form also to be displayed along with approve/Reject buttons?</b>
We are using ECC5.0 and EP6.0.
Thanks in advance for any help.

  • SP2010 Designer workflow "Set Content Approval Status" does not work

    Hello
I'm having a problem with a workflow for one of my clients. It is a SharePoint 2010 environment and I can only use SharePoint 2010 designer (no visual studio).
We have an approval workflow in place, which works great. After the document approval workflow has does its thing, a new workflow can be launged by specific users (they have writing rights and can approve content). The workflow is used to set the release
date of the document. This can only be determined after content approval.
However, when the release date is set, the document approval status is changed to concept. This is of course to be expected, as we changed to document metadata. That is why I wanted to add the action "Set content approval" to this workflow. I cannot
seem to get this action to work. Right now the workflow does the following:
check out the document (check out is obligatory in our library)
set the release date field to the released date parameter (defined when starting the workflow)
    check in the document
    set content approval to approved.
The release date gets set to the parameter value, but the document is not checked in and the content approval status is not set. SharePoint produces the following error message (translated from Dutch): "An error occured. Cannot edit the item, possibly
because one or more columns require another type of content. Unknown error."
Guided by other posts online I gathered that this might be because the actions checkin and set content approval occur to close together. I tried letting the workflow pause for the duration of 1 minute after checking in, but this pauses the workflow indefinitely.
I then tried 5 minutes (as this is the time standard set by SP2010 designer) but this also resulted in indefinite pausing.
Posts online lead me to believe that I'm not the only suffering from this problem, but as of yet, I haven't been able to find a solution that works for me. Hopefully someone can help me.

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that the "Set Content Approval Status" didn’t work in SharePoint 2010 Designer workflow.
I try to reproduce the issue and the result is the same as yours.
If I only check out and check in the item, the workflow works well.
However, once I set Content Approval Status after checking in the item, the workflow get error.
As a workaround, I recommend to use two workflow to achieve what you want.
First, create the first workflow, and allow the workflow to be manually started.
Then, create the second workflow, and
start the workflow automatically when an item is changed.
When you start the first workflow, the document will be set value of the release date. And then the second workflow will be started automatically to set the content approval status.
    Thank you for your understanding.

  • Calling Adobe form in a Workflow Step for approval

    Hello,
There are some ISR forms and workflows in MSS which use Workflow tasks configured as JavaWebDynpro to call Adobe form from the Workflow Step.
Is it possible to achieve the same using ABAP Web Dynpro and creating a new task and configuring to use it as an ABAP Web Dynpro (which can in turn call the Adobe form from the WD)?
    Thanks.

    Hi Anjali,
1)You can develop an<b> RFC</b> that collects required basic data from R/3 and display them in <i>ABAP WD - Adobe Form</i>. The End user can change/fill the remaining contents of the Adobe Form and submits it for approval. The <b>RFC</b> again handles the triggering part of the <b>Workflow</b> and passes the form data to the workflow containers. And for approvals, you can use the <i><b>SWFVISU</b></i> to call a <b>ABAP WD</b> application from Workflow. And in turn the control again goes back to RFC and so...
2)I dont have much idea in ECC 60 if there is a similar ABAP WD application like Standard Java WD <b>IsrFormApprove</b>.
    3)No idea.

  • SRM SC Workflow: Runtime Actual Approval determination

    Hi all,
I want to know who approved the SC in runtime within the BADI so that comparing his Approval Limit with the cost of SC I can decide whether to skip or go for next approval levels.
Please help how to find it out. I have checked the history table but it contains a field "Type" whose possible values can only be either "changed" or "insert" and does not indicate "Approve" status for any agent....
    Please help,
    Thanks
    Sangharsh

    Hi Sangharsh,
I believe that you are using workflow approval BAdI - BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI.
This BAdI is having a table called APPROVAL_TABLE, all the agents in this BADI will appear in your approval pre-view.
You have to write a code in your BADI as follows -
    - Check Approval limit of the manager
    - If it is more than SC value, append APPROVAL_TABLE otherwise you can skip him.
If you need more help, do let me know.
    Thanks and Regards
