Workflow Manager Configuration - Certificate with Thumbprint does not have a private key

After following the video series on how to install and Configure Workflow Manager into SharePoint 2013 http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn201724(v=office.15).aspx,
I get to the 'Configure Certificates' section in the Workflow Manager Configuration:  I browse to our wildcard certificate and select it.
When I try to move to the next page of the configuration wizard, I get the following red error under the certificate:
Certificate with thumbprint LONG STRING does not have a private key.
I checked the properties of the certificate, and it says: You have a private key that corresponds to this certificate.
What am I missing??
Thank you.
macrel

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you got error under the certificate.
Please make sure you configure the workflow manager correctly.

  • AZURE The specified certificate could not be found in the LocalMachine certificate store,or the certificate does not have a private key.

    Hello,
    I try to make a HV website in Azure. It took me hours to figure out how to make a HV certificate with my own password. But I figured it out. With the HV application manager I uploaded the certificate to the HV platform. This worked fine. Then I created a
    c# project with also works well on my local machine.
    This is the code I use in the web.config
    <appSettings>
    <add key="ApplicationId" value="24ee15be-1497-4719-ad70-d1223adbf021" />
    <add key="ShellUrl" value="https://account.healthvault-ppe.co.uk/" />
    <add key="HealthServiceUrl" value="https://platform.healthvault-ppe.com/platform/" />
    <!-- when we call the SignOut() method on HealthServicePage, it redirects us to the page below -->
    <add key="NonProductionActionUrlRedirectOverride" value="Redirect.aspx" />
    <!-- The redirect page (specified above) uses these keys below to redirect to different
    pages based on the response from the shell -->
    <add key="WCPage_ActionHome" value="default.aspx" />
    <add key="WCPage_ActionAppAuthSuccess" value="default.aspx" />
    <add key="WCPage_ActionSignOut" value="SignedOut.aspx" />
    </appSettings>
    Next step is to deploy the site to Azure. I was able to upload the certicate to Azure.
    After deploy I get the following error:
    System.Security.SecurityException: The specified certificate, CN=WildcatApp-24ee15be-1497-4719-ad70-d1223adbf021, could not be found
    in the LocalMachine certificate store,or the certificate does not have a private key.
    I checked the certificate on another server with a different key in the web.config
    <add key="ApplicationCertificateFileName" value="c:\Zodos\website\WildcatApp-24ee15be-1497-4719-ad70-d1223adbf021.pfx"/>
    This gives me this error:
    Exception Details: System.Security.Cryptography.CryptographicException: The specified network password is
    not correct.
    So the procedure I followed definitely was not correct:
    It works on my local machine
    It doesn't work on another server or on Azure
    I can see that the procedure I follow is not correct, but what am I doing wrong?

    I am having the same problem. I see I have updates thru the Mac App Store but when I try and run the System updates in the Mac App Store it errors out. But I can update third party apps.
    Have even tried going thru Terminal to check for software updates but still have same error claiming it can not find the hostname server.

  • SChannel error- The SSL server credential's certificate does not have a private key information property attached to it.

    We have a public SSL certificate that allows for Active Directory sync with LDAPS on port 636 with our email smart host. This was working fine and suddenly stopped working and we are now getting SChannel errors Event ID 36869. There were no changes made
    to the Exchange server, the firewall or the DC which holds the certificate. I have run a new certreq from the DC and then re-keyed the public SSL certificate and re-installed 3 times but the error does not go away and AD Sync with the vendor
    fails. When I run LDP.exe the connection on port 636 fails with "cannot open connection" and the system event log throws the S Channel event 36869 "The SSL server credential's certificate does
    not have a private key information property attached to it"  There is no software firewall set on the DC. When I run Certutil -VerifyStore MY  it shows the current certificates as well as the revoked and expired certificates
    correctly. Certificate 0 is the public cert and is listed with Server and Client authentication, the FQDN of the server is correct and "Certificate is Valid" is listed. The private cert is Certificate 1 and has server and client authentication, the
    FQDN is correct, Private key is not exportable and it ends with Certificate is Valid. I do not see a point in re-keying the cert again until I figure out what the root of the problem is. I have read in some forums that the private cert should not be set to
    expire after the public cert but that does not make a lot of sense when in a situation like this the private cert is of course newer than the public. In fact it is too early to renew the public cert. I have been troubleshooting this for a few days and at this
    point I would have to drop my AD sync with the vendor to LDAP in order to add new users. I do not want to do that for obvious reasons and I do not want to have our spam filtering and email archive service running without Directory sync. Any help would be greatly
    appreciated.

    I am trying to post a loans document through EK25 and while saving the document following erros is coming
    Formal error: Document header does not have a reconciliation key
    Message no. >0037
    Diagnosis
    You tried to post a document but a reconciliation key is missing from the document header. Since mass processing does not apply here (where the reconciliation key is automatically created) you must enter a reconciliation key.
    System Response
    Error message. Processing is terminated.
    Procedure
    Contact your system administrator.
    Procedure for System Administration
    If the program error occurred in an
    SAP standard program, enter a problem message
    Own program, correct the program
    Any input appreciated.
    Thanks,
    VR

    Hi,
    You need to assign the reconcilation group to the SAP user ID you are using to post the loan document.
    The reconciliation group is required if user-specific reconciliation keys are to be proposed automatically.
    The reconciliation group is freely selectable.
    Go to the following path in IMG-
    IMG->Financial Accounting->Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable->Basic Functions->Postings and Documents->Document-.Define Default Values->Maintain Rules for Reconciliation Key Default Values->Maintain Reconciliation Groups for Default Values
    Maintain the SAP User ID that you are using along with a reconciliation group.
    After, you maintained the user ID and saved it, try to post the loan document again.
    Hope it helps..
    Thanks,
    Amlan

  • Error : Rowkey does not have any primary key attributes

    Hello All,
    I'm developing an ADF application which has a few ADF forms. The forms have VO's and some tables.
    On running, I seem to be getting this error
    <Error> <oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.model.binding.CurrencyRowKeySet> <BEA-000000> <ADFv: Rowkey does not have any primary key attributes. Rowkey: oracle.jbo.Key[], table: oracle.jbo.server.ViewObjectImpl@2ecf4f19.>
    Where does the Rowkey have to be set? Is it in the VO?
    Regards,
    PP

    Make sure that the VO's you use have at least one attribute selected as a key attribute. GO to View Object overview editor and select attributes tab, see whether there is at least one attribute marked as a key. If not select the most appropriate attribute from the list of fields and go to edit attribute dialog, tick the key attribute property.

    Hello,
    We are having ROH and FERT material , in that we were entered the wrong Item category group , we need to change the
    Item category group through mass posting through MM17. we are getting below given error
    "Field MATNR does not have a foreign key; as a result no intervals are allowed"
    Message no. M&132
    Diagnosis
    You have either specified an interval such as from 1 to 10 or M* for a field, or you have left the field blank, corresponding to the interval *. However, since there is no foreign key for this field, the system cannot resolve the interval into valid single values.
    Procedure
    Enter only single values for this field.
    We have checked the the structure MPGD_MASS in SE11, and here foreign key  mark is tciked in "entry help/ check.
    How to solve this error.
    Regards
    sapman man

    how did you then proceed, on the selection screen:
    did you just use the change tab or did you work as well or only at the create tab?
    What did you enter in the selection?
    (...because I just tried a mass change without specying a material number and do not get such message)

    Please suggest.

    I'm not too sure but can you check if you have the following text in your page source ?

    Thanks for the tip,
    I had actually gone through the note before and tried out a couple of tips that were suggested in the note. I am still having the issue and believe that it might be due to the fact that I do not have a Credentials file installed.
    I am applying for the credential and will see what happens.

  • Why update with subqueries does not have cost and cardinality?

    There is update.
    update test t1 set dummy = (select dummy from test2 t2 where t1.id = t2.id);Both tables which have actual statistics. Each has 1000 rows. And column ID have values from 1 to 1000 in each table.
    This is explain plan
    | Id  | Operation          | Name  | Rows  | Bytes | Cost (%CPU)| Time     |
    |   0 | UPDATE STATEMENT   |       |  1000 | 13000 |   426   (9)| 00:00:01 |
    |   1 |  UPDATE            | TEST  |       |       |            |          |
    |   2 |   TABLE ACCESS FULL| TEST  |  1000 | 13000 |   426   (9)| 00:00:01 |
    |*  3 |   TABLE ACCESS FULL| TEST2 |     1 |    13 |   426   (9)| 00:00:01 |
    Predicate Information (identified by operation id):
       3 - filter("T2"."ID"=:B1)We can see here, that Oracle consider subquery within update as once-executed subquery.
    This is runtime plan
    | Id  | Operation          | Name  | Starts | E-Rows | A-Rows |
    |   1 |  UPDATE            | TEST  |      1 |        |      0 |
    |   2 |   TABLE ACCESS FULL| TEST  |      1 |   1000 |   1000 |
    |*  3 |   TABLE ACCESS FULL| TEST2 |   1000 |      1 |   1000 |
    Predicate Information (identified by operation id):
       3 - filter("T2"."ID"=:B1)Why first plan does not have cost in step 1?
    Does Oracle always not understand that update with subqueries will performed as NL or filter? In other words that step 3 will executed many times.
    Or it is my bug (or what?)?

    Or it is my bug (or what?)?It's not possible to say whether this is a bug or a deliberate choice.
    Because of "subquery caching" (see http://jonathanlewis.wordpress.com/2006/11/06/filter-subqueries/ ) the optimizer cannot predict how often the subquery will have to run. So possibly it shows nothing rather than showing the best or worst cases or a pure guess.

  • HT6015 After successfully signing up for Apple's VPP, I went in to purchase apps, and the only distribution method available is "managed distribution".  Our company does not have a MDM so I need the Redeemable Codes method.  Where can I find once I log in

    After successfully signing up for the Apple Volume Purchasing Program, I went in to purchase a quantity of apps.  The only distribution method that was available was the MDM.  Our company does not have a MDM.  I need redeemable codes.  How do I get that option?  I am using a PC.

    Can I add my existing, licensed apps to my list of 'Purchases' on the Mac App Store so I don't have to buy them twice?
    No. Only apps purchased from the App Store can be re downloaded for free including updates.

    Hi-
    Welcome to Discussions!
    Open System/Library/Core Services/Menu Extras. Double click on "Eject.menu", an icon will appear, and you can eject and close the drive from your menu bar.
    If you hold the F12 key for 2-3 seconds, the drive tray door will also open and close.

    First of all, please don't attach new questions to existing threads. Second asking for step by step procedures on all UI elements is really outside the scope of a forum posting and asking for too much.  If you are that new to Web Dynpro ABAP, then start by reading the online documentation, the WDA WIKI section, and the WDA eLearnings.

  • Workflow Manager Configuration Wizard is not working with USER ID

    Hello everyone,
       I
    have successfully installed Workflow Manager 1.0 (and its prerequisites) on my Server 2008 R2 SP1 machine that is hosting Sharepoint 2013.  I attempt to go into the Workflow Manager Configuration.  That comes up and asks me if I want to Create
    new farm with Default Settings, New Farm with custom settings, or existing farm.  I've tried both Default settings AND Custom settings.
                When
    the configuration wizard comes up, I attempt to fill out the necessary information.  It seems to connect to the SQL server without a problem.  I only run into an issue when setting the USER ID.  The program totally freezes up and force closes.
                I
    have verified that the USERID is in the correct format and tried multiple different formats.  The problem is that the moment I move the cursor from the USERID field to ANY other field, the program force closes.  I'm not able to hit submit, I'm not
    able to change any other options.  The moment USERID is manipulated or the cursor LEAVES the USERID field, the program force closes.  It won't even allow me to put in a password before it force closes.
                 Customer
    domain is running in Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edittion SP2.
    Any
    ideas?
    I have installed also cumulative update to avoid crash but still I am getting force to close workflow wizard. I have used users which are already added in administrator groups.
    We are using 3 tier architecture for Sharepoint 2013.
    Also we have made Alias of Domain controller. Eg:-Alias is "labs" for domain "xyz.ab.com".
    And we are using labs\spadmin and labs\spservice for Workflow Manager Configuration 1.0
    Is there any issue with Domain Alias "labs" as Workflow gives error  "Specified RunAs account is invalid" or "Force close the application".

    Check to ensure that the user you're running the wizard as has access to the Users and Computers folders in Active Directory. I had trouble with the "specified RunAs account is invalid" message, and when I granted the AD rights, I was able to proceed.
    The issue would be that the user executing the wizard isn't able to query AD to look up the specified user. The RunAs account you're specifying is probably fine.

  • Workflow Manager 1.0 will install but NOT configure.

    Hello everyone,
         I have successfully installed Workflow Manager 1.0 (and its prerequisites) on my Server 2008 R2 SP1 machine
    that is hosting Sharepoint 2013.  I attempt to go into the Workflow Manager Configuration.  That comes up and asks me if I want to Create new farm with Default Settings, New Farm with custom settings, or existing farm.  I've tried both Default
    settings AND Custom settings.
        When the configuration wizard comes up, I attempt to fill out the necessary information.  It seems to connect
    to the SQL server without a problem.  I only run into an issue when setting the USER ID.  The program totally freezes up and force closes.
        I have verified that the USERID is in the correct format and tried multiple different formats.  The problem
    is that the moment I move the cursor from the USERID field to ANY other field, the program force closes.  I'm not able to hit submit, I'm not able to change any other options.  The moment USERID is manipulated or the cursor LEAVES the USERID field,
    the program force closes.  It won't even allow me to put in a password before it force closes.
         Customer domain is running in Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edittion SP2.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you very much!
