Workflow Payload update needed once we move the node(payload path)

Hi ,
When you moved your node in a workflow process,how the new payload should be used in the further workflow process steps.
if we use the payload in the further workflow process steps, this will give an error , as the payload which the workflow process is pointing at has been moved now.
Can anybody help me to set the new payload for the workflow process, after the node is moved to a different position.
For example: when I started the workflow my Node is point at sourcepath= /content/usergenerated/mycomments/mycommentpage
If I moved this node path to destination path= /etc/commerce/products/approvedcomments/mycommentpage.
My two questions are
1 Do we need to set the new payload path ?
2. Why there is no method called setPayload() in WorkflowData? is there a specific reason?

To answer your questions
No you cannot set the payload path.
In order to get the payload from the new path. You might be knowing the business logic where the actual node will be moved. Based on that construct new path and use resourceresolver for resolving.

I have a scenario where the workflow is a employee resignation custom workflow.
Here the case is - when ever the reviewer or the approver rejects the workitem in the workflow the workflow stops and it returns back to the initializer ie the employee who has resigned...
the moment the employee makes the required changes the workflow starts from the 1st level where as the workflow should start at the point it was rejected but not from the start.....
The point where it was rejected, or the level where it was rejected it has to start at the same level but not from the start or the 1st step of the workflow...
Kindly suggest me that how do i place the scenario where the workflow starts at the node where it was rejected intially...

Here what i am doing is
I am running a loop based on the levels there in the entire workflow
Here there are 8 levels in the workflow, so rather going for 8 consecutive step workflow. I have placed the entire step in one loop to robust the entire process...
Placing all the levels in one condition, and running the loop. I am trying to capture the Approval or Reject status after every loop run to see the status and based on that - the level will be determined
My question over here is - Once the loop is run and i am able to determine the status - whether it is a rejection or an approval.
as the values are stored in a workflow container or in "z" table (varies from situation to situation) -
I did not understand that - how do i place the method ( which determines the level ) and at what position..should it be in the loop or after the loop...
kindly clarify this as this the only major concern which i have...

Came across the article, but found a solution that allowed me to keep everything without losing my places file.
Removing places.sqlite-shm and places.sqlite-wal while firefox was not running allowed FF to start without a problem.

Agreed, and fuser showed that the files weren't in use.
Using sqlite from the command line to access places.sqlite when the files were there seemed to work till I did ".schema" and then I got an error that indicated corruption.
Removing the files and then retrying ".schema" worked flawlessly.
Telling users about this possible solution would help them recover their history, etc. that they may have spent a lot of time creating.

Downloaded IOS8 but it didnt install- Update is keeping me over the 4.6 GBs i need

Hi All,
I have an iPhone 4s that I was trying to update to IOS8 last night. I deleted enough things to free up the memory to download the update. Once I did, the update downloaded but took a long time on the "preparing update" portion with the progress bar stuck at about half. Since it was taking so long I went to sleep. I woke up this morning with no IOS8 running on my phone and now the update has taken up enough space that I dont have the 4.6GBs free anymore. I'm not deleting anymore stuff so: How do I delete the update or get the thing to install?
Any ideas?

I think you should update to the highest level for your particular OS. Follow these suggestions and be aware it is a big (but free) update.
Once you are on Snow Leopard 10.3 to 10.6 you will need to apply the Combo updater. Click on this ☟
Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1
and when it is installed follow by going to software update to pick up the later security and iTunes improvements. This update should see you with the Garage band version for that 10.6.8 OS.

Time Machine Backup [Update Needed] for User

So I made a time machine backup of my MacBook Pro to put on my MacBook Air, and when I did it created 2 users. One says Administrator (my normal one) and the other says [Update Needed]
However, when I log on to the [Update Needed] user, everything is the exact same. I just cant figure out what update it's referring to. When I go to system preferences > Users/Groups, only the Admin user is listed there.
Any ideas on how to fix?

Did you erase with a Leopard Install disc or a Snow Leopard disc? If you used a Leopard disc, that might explain showing only 74.2 GB free (it counts differently).
If so, use your +Snow Leopard+ install disc to do a complete reformat, and try to restore the backup. A Leopard disc cannot restore a Snow Leopard backup. Even the Snow Leopard disc may not work, as it's just too full and/or your system was damaged by getting too full.
All my previous backups seem to fit fine, but apparently the last time Time Machine backed up more from my disk than can fit on my disk! It seems having a hard disk close to full is enough to render a backup effectively useless.
Having an OSX drive that full will make your Mac extremely sluggish, cause data corruption and/or loss, apps to crash, etc.
Guess I'll have to restore from a previous backup, then manually copy the newer files. Just wanted to alert others to this insane problem, so it doesn't happen to them.
If you can get your Mac running, you need to make several GBs of space immediately.
If all else fails, reformat the internal HD and install OSX from your Snow Leopard Install disc, then use +Setup Assistant+ after the Welcome video to transfer +*most, but not all+* of your stuff from the backup. Omit the contents of one or more large sub-folders in a home folder (such as Photos, Music, or Movies).

You can only watch the movie on the device you rented it on. Here's a snippet from the Apple Support site (italics mine):
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

I am working on a project where i need to expand all the nodes of a jtree i have tried a few different ways but it never seems to expand all the nodes..

you could use the following method that expands nodes recursively

Control file not updated till date in RAC two node database

Good day.
To my surprise i found that control files, in our database RAC with two nodes, are not updated till date except one from node 1 and another from node 2.
But we got all the controlfile names in the init parameter file, in both the nodes.
Node 1

As you could see cntrl01.dbf is the only file updated till date in both the nodes. The database is running fine.

As you're using RAC it is very likely that you are using an SPFILE.
Connect as a DBA account (or an account with SELECT ANY DICTIONARY privileges) in both the instances and do "show parameter spfile" and "show parameter control" (or query V$parameter)
It is likely that the spfile is referencing only 1 controlfile.

You cannot. Copy everything you want form the old computer to the new one, then sync it.
it basically says you have to erase your iphone to sync to a new itunes!
Correct Iphone will sync, or manually manage, with one and only one computer/library at a time. Syncing, or manually managing, to another will indeed erase the current content.
