Above is a workflow that i have created but upon running it am getting the following error message

What purpose do you use this workflow?
Please provide more information about your requirement. It will mark others easy to find a solution for you.
And whether the "Sample" is another list.
In adddition, for the actions in your workflow, the first action is setting Variable: Client ID is equal to
Sample:Next Number, and the second action is setting
Variable: Client ID is equal to
Current Item:Client ID, and also the third action is setting
Variable: Client ID is equal to
Sample:Next Number .
All actions in your workflow are for setting the value of
Variable: Client ID.

Auto numbering in TOC tags

I am creating books that use auto numbering in the headings.
For example:
1.0 Introduction
2.0 First chapter
2.1 First topic
2.2 Second topic
2.2.1 Sub topic 1
When I generate the TOC, the numbers do not appear. I do not see any information in the User's Guide.
I am using Framemaker 7.2.
Any suggestions?

Go to the Reference Page(s) in the TOC file and scroll down until you find the collection of variables that generate the TOC contents. It'll look something like:
openObjectId <$relfilename>:<$ObjectType> <$ObjectId>
<$paratext> <$pagenum>
<$paratext> <$pagenum>
<$paratext> <$pagenum>
Each one of the lines is the format for a tag that should be included.
Scroll up and down to identify the tags that you want have display numbering.
Type in the para numbering variable, like this:
<$paranum> <$paratext> <$pagenum>
Save the file and update the book....

Yes only one person will be using the form. This is a inventory receiving report that is filled out everytime inventory is received and and new # is used each time. I have been manually putting the number in the current field and would like it to be automatic now to help cut down on using the same # in error.

The list of workflow actions on the server references an assembly that does not exist

This issue has been discussed many times in this forum , the reason why I am posting is I tried the resolution steps but I dont see any luck.
I am getting the below message from the SharePoint designer 2007 when I am trying to modify a workflow
"This list of workflow actions on the server references an assembly that does not exist. Some actions will not be available. The assembly strong name is Microsoft.SharePoint.WorkflowActions, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c.
Contact your server administrator for more information."
#1 : One of the post says "Normally you would see that error because someone has extended the Workflow actions available in SPD with a custom action developed in Visual Studio. These custom actions are loaded when your workstation reads the WSS.ACTIONS
file on the server. The file is located in the 12 hive under Template\1033\workflow. Your WSS.Actions file contains a reference to a custom action .dll which is not available on the server."
I opened the WSS.Actions file in notepad, I dont see any line with *.dll in it. Am I missing something?
#2: Another post says "The solution I discovered was that the server running my SharePoint Services was not up to .NET 3.0. As soon as I updated to .NET 3.0 everything worked.I had made sure the machine running SharePoint Designer was updated, but
had missed the SHarePoint Services server."
The server is already updated to .Net 3.0.
#3: I went to the %System Drive%\Documents and Settings\Local Settings\ApplicationData\Microsoft\SharePointDesigner.
Deleted the ProxyAssemblyCache folder but no luck.
Just checking if any one was able to resolve this issue by following any of the solution other than the above mentioned ones.

 I have the similar issue with my custom work flow. I have searched the whole day for the solution but no success, then at last a simple track works for me. Please try this if any one faces such issue.
Basically the assembly that we have define in the ACTIONS file dose not exists on the server, because of two reasons, either we have given the wrong assembly name (in our case the namespace name inside our solution) or the PublicKeyToken may differ from the
original assembly, that are deployed in GAC.
 So cross check both of these, in my case the assembly name was fine,

But the problem was in the 'PublicKeyToken', so i double click on the feature inside my solution,then in the bottom i have clicked on the manifest tab to check the entries.

Here i got the actual PublicKeyToken for my assembly (0c32dbb769ed64b5), i have replaced this number inside ACTIONS file, deploy the soultion, reset IIS.

I believe what it's supposed to mean is that some changes were made to the document on another device, and those changes were saved back to the cloud. Now you've opened iWork on a different device to access that document - it compares the document you've got locally with the one in the could, sees some recent changes and downloads them.
What gets me is why this sometimes happens even when I've not made any changes to a document from another device.

Auto numbering is happening even when F11 is pressed

Hi ,
We are developing a customer form wherein we have 2 data blocks . These two data blocks share the master-detail relationship. The detail block is a multi record block.
We are auto numbering an item <line_number> in the detail block following the steps mentioned in the metalink [ID 33342.1]

The steps mentioned in the link are generating numbers automatically when a new record is created and resequences the line numbers when a record is deleted. It works fine in these two scenarios.
But we have two issues here :
1) The line numbers are getting generated even when we press F11 in th detail block. This should not happen in our form. (We need to suppress the auto numbering in F11 mode)
2) If we move the cursor to a new record in the detail block, the line number gets generated there but if we move back to the previous record without entering anything in the new record, that new record does not disappear. It stays there .
Please let us know how can the above two issues be resolved

Hi.
From what I saw on metalink note this is expected behavior. So the first problem is simply to solve, Just call :SYSTEM.MODE function and if it's result is ENTER-QUERY then do nothing (do not call resequence routine). As for the second problem there is a simple solution if your business logic can accept it. You could make one item in child block required. This way a user could not walk away from that record without deleting it first. If this solution is not applicable to you then you will have to manually program logic for this situation.

Auto numbering tables

I am currently using FrameMaker 8.0 and have had a problem with the auto numbering of tables.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to auto number tables using different chapter numbers within the one document?
I know that it is possible to do this when the chapters are seperate documents within one book.
E.g.
First page - Chapter 1
Table 1.1
Table 1.2
Next page - Chapter 2
Table 2.1
Table 2.2 etc.
For some reason when I try to do this any tables under Chapter 2 are still named Table 1.1 and Table 1.2 etc.
I have tried using a series but that still does not seem to work.
Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you both, this helped a great deal. However, I am still having trouble with one file in the book. It seems to be repeating the same chapter number not adding one when the style appears again. E.g. Page 1 has Chapter 1 (C:Chapter <n+>) Page 3 has Chapter 1 (which is meant to be Chapter 2) Also is there a way to continue the chapter numbers from a previous file in the book? E.g. File A has Chapters 1-4 in it File B has Chapters 5-8 in it At the moment they are restarting in each file. Any ideas? Thanks, Skye

That sort of thing generally must be inserted as a Flash
animation.
If you don't have Flash, you can download some pre-built
slide counters from Paul Dewhurst's website:

Click the Captivate 1, 2 and 3 links on the left side to see
what's available. I think you're looking for the ones that say
"Frame Counter", as I seem to recall there being some slide
counters mixed in there.
The Captivate 3 section also contains a custom playbar for
the skin that has a slide counter built right into it.
If you do find anything you can use, I'm sure Paul would
appreciate a donation for his efforts. There's a link on the left
side for that, too.

Auto numbering ipad

Auto numbering i Need to make a sheet with numbers starting with 001 on my ipad but numbers automaticaly deletes the 00 when auto numbering. Does anyone know how to do this on an ipad?

That is because technically speaking "001" is not a number and Numbers for iOS doesn't handle special translatiosn of numbers - text very well, nor does the numbering format allow for leading charactes.

How do I turn off auto-numbering?

I want to turn off auto-numbering in iWeb. I tried doing it in the Inspector under Text/lists by selecting "none" but that didn't work. Can anyone help?

While continuing to work the problem last night, I discovered if I hold down "shift" when I hit "return" to go to the next line, it suppresses numbering and I can do it myself, the old-fashioned way. I remember seeing that trick in another iWeb context in a Google search, but it appears to work on numbering, too.
Hey, if I want numbering, it's surely simple enough that I can do it myself, just like if I want to type the word "the"! I'm a touch typist, and I can fly when I get going, and any sort of "auto" function trips me out of the flow, actually making what I'm doing harder, not easier. The "shift-return" solution will also make it harder, until I get it down pat. Maybe one of these days the propellor beanies will bring in an actual user for a consult before they force such dubious improvements on the whole population. I'm sure there are folks who think this is cool, but that doesn't mean it's progress.

Auto Numbering in InfoPath 2013

I am brand new to InfoPath. I was trying to follow some videos and tutorials I found on auto-numbering a field in a form. I had a hard time following because it seems there are slight nuances between versions, and 2013 acts and looks different
than the tutorials I found. For instance when assigning a value to a field like max(@ID) + 1, whenever I use the @ sign I get an error in the formula. Does anyone have a complete InfoPath 2013 'how to' create an auto-number

Depend your description, you want to get some information about how to create an auto-number field via InfoPath 2013.
The steps below about how to create an auto-number field are that I have operated in my InfoPath 2013, and you can follow it：
Create a custom list, named "Auto".
Create a column in that list, type number, named "Auto No.".
Clicked List -> Customize Form and edit default form in InfoPath.
Clicked Data -> Data Connections -> Add in InfoPath.
In "Data Connection Wizard", set New Connection to Receive Data -> SharePoint library or list -> set URL of my "Auto" list -> only select ID column -> checked "Automatically retrieve data when form is opened"
In InfoPath design view, right click "Auto No." text box -> Properties -> Default Value -> fX button -> Insert Function -> Math -> Max -> OK -> double clicke on the formula to select field -> Show advanced view ->
in "Fields" drop-down choose secondary data source (named as my "Auto" list) -> selecte 'ID' node in 'dataFields' -> OK -> back in formula type '+ 100' (so the whole formula is like: 'max(ID) + 100')
Publish it to SharePoint list.
