Working with Frames in Dreamweaver MX 2004
I've created a frameset (called index.htm) containing 3
frames (banner.htm, nav_bar.htm and content.htm). I have no borders
and the borders width is set to zero. I'm using the layout mode so
I get to see the 3 frames (gray lines dividing the frames). When I
preview the page I created, there is a gap. That is, the banner.htm
does not connect with the content and the nav_bar.htm page. Instead
I see this white line that cuts across. I have my borders set to
"no".
Any idea how to connect these pages so the banner connects
with the navigation bar nd the content?
I need to see the entire page for one of the frame pages,
please.

with regardsYou need to convert the string date to datetime or date. See conversion examples here:
http://www.sqlusa.com/bestpractices/datetimeconversion/
Example for the where clause:
WHERE DATEDIFF(DD, convert(datetime, lastdate, 101), getdate() ) < 1
Can you post sample string dates?
Are you looking for today's records? Another option (depends on lastdate format):
WHERE lastdate = convert(char(8), getdate(), 112)

Well as I said, I have some issues with this situation, I will like to work with webmatrix (SQL helpers, and cool stuff) improving it with the great adobe´s web design technologies, Dreamweaver CC 2014 of course as the main support, please bring me some sort of solution I am sure I am not the only one.
Well I am actually working with both of them, it happens that Web matrix only build my webpage from server code, I mean, I don´t have much options for a web design, I am used to work with the template first in dreamweaver with HTML file extensions, then use it as a VBHTML extension, I would like to work from the VBHTML extension so I can test every single change that I make in webmatrix as I continue working with the degin in Dreamweaver

The link takes me to the Adobe add-on page, doesn't seem to be there and searching doesn't bring up anything? Is this still available...

CSS Problem working with Frames
Hi guys! I'm repairing a client's website that includes a
shopping cart. When the site is first visited, I have the view cart
button hidden:
============= Frame One ================
html code:
<a id="viewcart" href=#>View Cart</a>
CSS code:
a#viewcart { visiblity: hidden;}
============= Frame Two ================
<FORM><INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN" NAME="product[]"
VALUE="Here Today Gone Tomorrow">
<INPUT TYPE="HIDDEN" NAME="price" VALUE="14.95">
<INPUT TYPE="SUBMIT" value="Add to Cart" name="B1">
</FORM>
I would like to turn the button on whenever an add to cart
button has been pressed.
If I were working within the same page, I think I could get
away with something like:
CSS Code:
form submit:active, a#viewcart { visiblity: visible;}
Am I thinking in the right direction or am I screwing up.
HELP!!!To affect Frame one by a button in frame two you are going to
have to reload
the whole frameset, which could cause you problems. If the
top frameset is
only to hold this link then there is little point in using it
over having
all the code on the same page and controlling it via CSS as
you have.

I am unable to use the Live View function when working with JavaScript in Dreamweaver.
I am currently trying to set up my own website with dreamweaver and am very familiar with Java and JavaScript. However, whenever I try to use the Live View function it never lets me. Additionally, I am unable to preview my work in a browser as the option to do so is greyed out.
However, I have noticed that when using html in a project, all these functions are available. Any ideas how I can be able to use these functions?Is it possible you meant to say you were "very unfamiliar with Java and javascript" in your initial post?
Javascript doesn't do anything without an html page to affect.
Java and javascript are not the same thing, they're really not even related other than browsers can be made to render both. Java is its own programming language while javascript is basically html's helper monkey. I don't think it's even feasible to "understand javascript" without knowing html. My last post still stands, if you are coding javascript, you need an html based page to turn it into anything but plain code to a browser, so the option to view it will never come up. When you preview the page it's attached to, it will function correctly (as long as it has been attached to the page correctly).
Java on the other hand can create programs that run without a browser at all and I've never gotten close to touching that monster.
You may need to explain what you're trying to do and post the code here to get the help you need. -
Guess I should reach out and ask for help before I get so frustrated, as my name implies.
I am new to frames. I have my frameset page done. I have a top section from my logo. I have
a side section for my navigation and a main section (body) that is my target for the navigation links.
It all looks great on the main frameset page. But whenever I click on a link on the side of the page,
that should be a navigational link that feeds into my main section (body) area it always opens a
new page. I can't ever get those pages to show up in that 'body' frame.
I have tried using the <base target>
I have tried doing each line individually, leaving the <base target> in and taking it out.
I have tried writing the code myself.
I have tired using the GoLive Action thing and doing a link and using ForceFrame.
I have tried everything I can think of and wonder if anyone has any ideas.
This is what I have, using the forceframe:

It appears that I should be able to just use the 'target' tag to get this to work right. It didn't. So I tried the action menu item with the ForceFrame
and that didn't work either. I don't get why something that looks so simple doesn't work -
I'm not a programmer but I work with .cfm in Dreamweaver CC
Well at least until recently when Adobe decided to stop supporting their own ColdFusion services in Dreamweaver in the hopes we'd move to ColdFusion Builder 2. I tried CFB 2 but I work on the visual end with CSS and template/theme design layout, not the programming end. I go as far as using <cfincludes> in my html templates... and it's critical to view work in progress.
As a CC customer, it seem very unfair to deprecate mission critical (yet very basic features) such as opening a .cfm file. YES, i've seen the work around but per Adobe Tech support 12/19/13 this update no longer works on MAC.
So here's my suggestion to Adobe... I'll pay you the $300.00 for whatever... call it a CFB2 fee but give me back the ability to open .cfm files (easily) from within Dreamweaver CC. I'll continue to pay months subscription fees and can get back to work rather than looking for a new HTML editor.
What Say You, Adobe?I know it has been quite a while since you posted this, but I have learned how to do exactly what you are wanting to do. I found the following instructions that worked perfectly (with a slight modification):
Getting back Coldfusion “Save As” options in Dreamweaver CC | Marianne Sarkis
When you open the Extensions.txt file, you will also want to add ,CFM to the top line as well (after PRO).
You will also want to make sure you do this first if you haven't already:
http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/open-coldfusion-dreamweaver-cc.html
The same can be done for ASP files if desired. -
Working with frames and applets
Hi, I am writing an applet that recieves information from a sever. before the applet loads I display a frame that allows the user to select the information that is transfered across the net.
I block the applet from finishing until the okay button is clicked on the frame. However if I don't add my frame to the applet I can't manipulate the frame, and the frame doesn't recognize any mouse events
When i do add the frame to the applet, the checkboxes work and the button toggles, but the click doesn't do anything.
Finally the program works while using the applet viewer but it doesn't work across the net. Any information any one has would be greatly appreciated.here is the code of the frame that doesn't work

Everything that is placed into InDesign ends up in a frame. You can create frames from scratch, or if you "place" (import) text or images into a document, InDesign automatically creates the frame for you. We'll explore the use of frames in InDesign in this video.

Using Flash with Frames?
Is there a trick to using frames with flash? The frames page
looks like:
<html>
<head>
<title>Home Site</title>
</head>
<frameset rows="78,280,*" FRAMEBORDER=0 BORDER=0
FRAMESPACING=0>
<frame src="header.html" name="header" scrolling="no"
noresize>
<frame src="flash.html" name="flash" scrolling="no"
noresize target="mainFrame">
<frame src="frameindex.html" name="mainFrame">
<noframes>
<body>
<p>This page uses frames, but your browser doesn't
support them.</p>
</body>
</noframes>
</frameset>
</html>
header.html does not have any flash. Just has the home and
contact buttons for the top.
flash.html is just an html page that holds the flash
navigation.
mainFrame is where the new pages should display with index of
course being the first page.
In flash, the button has the following:
onClipEvent (load) {
num = 1;
on (rollOver) {
if (_root.link<>num) {
this.gotoAndPlay("s1");
on (releaseOutside, rollOut) {
if (_root.link<>num) {
this.gotoAndPlay("s2");
on (release) {
if (_root.link<>num) {
_parent["but"+_root.link].gotoAndPlay("s2");
_root.link = num;
getURL("details.html", "mainFrame");
When I press the button, it opens details.html in a new page
without the frames. I would like it to open details.html in the
mainFrame frame. Is there a trick that I do not know? Thank you so
much!The standard reply is -
1. Why are you using frames since there are many compelling
reasons not to?
2. Why are you using Flash navigation since there are many
compelling
reasons not to?
Most people here don't work with (assiduously avoid) both of
those critters,
so, you may have trouble getting a more explicit response!

Hi all has there been any news for new or more services for BT Vision?. I was wondering why there are still soo many SD channels? I would have expected an announcement by now for more HD channels such as FX HD etc available on sky.
