WORKLIST transactioon for SOURCIGN in SRM 7

Hi,
We are on SRM 7.1
I'm new to SRm 7 and hecne wanted to check what is the trasnction and under which role which will be used to see the worklist for any Buyer?
In SRM,we had the SOURCING trasnction which would have two tabs:1 worklist and other FIND.
In SRM 7.1,I see a link CARRY OUT SORUCING but it shows  a screen where I have to ASSIGN SOURCE OF SUPPLY by finding the shopping carts...Which trasnction shoudl I go to see a worlist assigned to myself as buyer??

Hi,
In the Carry out Sourcing screen (Step 1) you can see a 'Settings' link. If you click this it will open  a smaller window, in this you can set specific search criteria that can be set for each user. So here you can specify a particular purchasing group to be automatically filled as the search criteria. Also you can set this to be used when the user clicks on the Carry out Sourcing link. So this means that if you set purchgrp1 as the purchasing group and set it to start search on open,... then when the user clicks
on Carry out Sourcing it will open the screen and will have already searched and found results (ie like the Find tab in older releases).
I hope this helps,
Kind Regards
Lisa

  • N-step approval process for PO in SRM 7

Here are a couple of questions I have regarding N-Step approval configuration for PO in SRM 7 Process Controlled Workflow:
    1) It's our business requirement that the last-change person of the PO is defined as the first approver in the chain. I tested with RR_EMPLOYEE and a hard-coded user BP number (my own), but got error "Strategy RR_EMPLOYEE did not determine any approver". Changing to any other user's BP number worked. So I am guessing the buyer himself can not be an approver. Since this is a business requirement, we wouldn't mind developing enhancement to work around this restriction. If you could point me to the place where this is checked, that would help me.
    2) I have set up the process level configuration as such:
100     ZEV_PO_SL_APPR_001     PO  approval level 1     RR_EMPLOYEE     Specify Employee for Approval
200     ZEV_PO_SL_APPR_002     PO  approval level 2     RR_MANAGER     Get Creator's Line Manager for Approval
300     ZEV_PO_SL_APPR_003     PO  approval level 3     RR_MANAGER     Get Creator's Line Manager for Approval
The corresponding expressions are simply checking against the PO total value, such as -
    0V_PO_POTOTALVALUE >= 0 AND 0V_PO_POTOTALVALUE < 1,000
    0V_PO_POTOTALVALUE >= 1,000 AND 0V_PO_POTOTALVALUE < 25,000
    0V_PO_POTOTALVALUE >= 25,000
But when I checked the Approver list with a PO with total value > 50,000, only the first level is triggered and listed. And once approved, the PO went into "Ordered" status. But it should have gone through 3 levels of approval. I'd greatly appreciate it if you could point out what might have been wrongly defined in my configuration.
    Thanks!

SAP recently released the consultant OSS note to handle this issue.. when the release the SRM 7.0 , SC requestor or PO creator ( Buyer ) cant be in the approval list.. later on they release a OSS note to handle this issue.. 1551561\

once you implement the OSS note Q1, you can build the custom RR resolver to handle this issue with in one process level.. but you have to implement the process level BADI as well.. please refer /SAPSRM/BD_WF_PROCESS_PO badi for more details

  • Creating system in portal for the backend SRM

    Dear All,
We are in the process of setting up a system  in portal for the backend SRM system
I have tried to create system in System admin--> System configuration --.>System landscape
For SAP Web AS Connection , the parameters maintained are:
    Hostname : <FQ hostname>:8000  ( 8000 is the HTTP port for ICM)
    Web AS path: /sap/bc/webdynpro
    protocol :8000
But test is failing as 'An HTTP/S connection to http://xxxxxxxxx::8000/sap/bc/webdynpro was not obtained successfully; this might be due to a closed port on the Firewall:
    test details:
    SAP Web AS Connection
      Test Details:
The test consists of the following steps:
    1. Checks the validity of system ID in the system object.
    2. Checks if the system can be retrieved from the PCD.
    3. Check whether a SAP system is defined in the system object
    4. Validate the following parameters: WAS protocol; WAS host name
    5. Checks if the host name of the server can be resolved.
    6. Pings the WAS ping service; works only if the service is activated on the ABAP WAS.
    7. Checks HTTP/S connectivity to the defined back-end application
      Results
    1. The system ID is valid
    2. The system was retrieved.
    3. The system object represents an SAP system
    4. The following parameters are valid: Web AS Protocol (http) Web AS Host Name (bhidfwao06.ent.bhicorp.com:8000)
    5. The host name bhidfwao06.ent.bhicorp.com was resolved successfully.
    6. The Web AS ping service http://bhidfwao06.ent.bhicorp.com:8000/sap/bc/ping was pinged successfully.
    7. An HTTP/S connection to http://xxxxxxxxx::8000/sap/bc/webdynpro was not obtained successfully; this might be due to a closed port on the Firewall.
Is there any problem with the port, I doublechecked and the port for HTTP is 8000.
If I give the Web AS path: /sap/bc/bsp  test is successful.
    Any pointers please?

  • What is the best approach to capture TBOM's for a SAP SRM system/functionality?

    Hello SCN Community,
It would be much appreciated if somebody could share some information about the following....
What is the best approach to create TBOM's for a SAP SRM system? The SRM functionality is basically consisting out of multiple ABAP Web Dynpro's that are connected as a process via a SAP Portal (as is understand it). The entrypint to the SRM functionality is via the SAP Portal.
Do I first have to create a link to the Portal via an SAP Web Application link in SOLAR01 and then start recording? Will it record only the portal objects or also the ABAP Web Dynpro objects?
Do I have to list all the separate ABAP Web Dynpro's in SOLAR01 and use those as a starting point?
I am myself more familair with more classical SAP ABAP ECC systems and transactions.  I could hardly find any information on the use of BPCA and the required TBOM's in the area of SRM.... Any help would be much appreciated!
    Kind Regards,
    Guido Jacobs

  • Unable to assign supplier in shopping cart for services in SRM 7.0 SC

One particular user is Unable to assign supplier in shopping cart for services in SRM 7.0 Shopping Cart.  There is no difference in the roles assigned to him.  He is able to assign supplier for materials but not services.  Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Sanjeev

    Hi
From where he is buying the Services - free text or catalog or service masters.
Do you have other users having same problem?
Have you built a custom role in your landscape. Assign SAP All to his role temporarily and see if that happens again. If so, activate the Trace on his id and ask him to order a service SC to find out where he is missing the authorizations....

  • How much ABAP programming is required for a typical SRM install?

I was wondering if there is a document that defines best practices for the use of ABAP with the installation and customization of SRM. Such as amount of ABAP coding typically required, and best practices around the use of ABAP for customization and configuration.
    Thanks.

    You may need following developments...
    - Validations for data with SRM Data or with ECC Data at BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI
    - Changes to the Data in SRM at Document Creation / Change BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI
    - Based on your Purchsing Contract Settings in Backend you may need some Enhancements.
<like mapping SRM conditions to ECC, creating consignment or subcontracting Contracts e.t.c>
    - Most importantly customization of workflows.
    - If your Buyers has any specific Requirement to be validated or evaluate then you should go for SOCO Custom rules.
    - You can group multiple Requirements (SC) into one Purchase Order.
ABAP is required at the time of standard issues with SRM5.0, to debug and find which note to apply -- I believe this is a critical part where an abaper can help in  SRM instalation.
    All the best,
    Vamsi

  • SAP components required for implemeting SAP SRM MDM

    Hi all,
Plz let me know , the SAP components required for implemeting SAP SRM MDM , for the following points:
    · Internal catalogs hosted and maintained by buyer?
    · Internal catalogs that are maintained by vendor (vendor will be using buyer's firewall)?
    · External catalogs hosted and maintained by vendor?
    Thanks and regards
    Harish

    Hi Harish,
The SAP components you would be needed are
    SAP MDM5.5 or 7.1
    - MDM server
    - MDIS server
    - MDSS server
    SAP SRM5.5 or 7.0
    SAP SRM-MDM business content
WAS engine typically used for deploying sca files given by SAP for configuring MDM as catalog. Mostly was engine of SRM is used in such case.
If you need an integration with backend system SAP PI will be used.

    Hi!
Has SAP released RAR Rule sets for BI, GTS, SRM, XI, GRC-AC, or Solution Manager?
Let me know if anyone else has found them.
    Thanks,
    -john

    Hi John,
SRM rules have always been available. I have not seen rules for BI, GTS, XI, AC or SolMan. Would definitely want to see rules for XI, BI and SolMan.

  • External SAP Portal for Bidders in SRM 7.0

    Hi All
In the strategic sourcing Business Scenario, we need to enable the bidders to submit their bids from outside the network firewall.
    Some questions in this regard:
    1) Should we have a separate portal for the bidders ( from the one used by the employees inside the firewall) for security
purpose?? Earlier I had seen a different URL for SAP enterprise portal for external vendors at a client place. However not sure if it is a single Portal instance or two separate ones.
    2) Do we need to install a SAP Web dispatcher in the DMZ as suggested by SAP in the SRM 7.0 security guide for the external portal? Could we simply make the Enterprise portal available outside without setting up the DMZ
    3) Since portal is role based, the suppliers won't be able to access anything else, then the process bids screen. What are the other security concerns if the same portal is shared between employees and suppliers?
    Regards
    Kedar

    Hi
Bidding always happens in your SRM System, although External partners execute that activity. It really depends on your security policies whether you want to give them http or https access...

we have groups of 2 people and we want that they can see and edit shopping carts one of each other. Do you know how is it possible? it will be necessary for all SCs.

You can use the "Team Cart" feature introduced in SRM 7 for your requirement.
Take a look at this wiki page for more information http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SRM/Team+purchasing

Please help me in resolving this.

Edited by: Rajesh A on Jul 2, 2009 2:24 PM

Hope you might have some option called Express confirmation. check it up.
You can use this business process to confirm the receipt of goods. In SAP SRM, purchasers can create confirmations themselves, even if the purchase order is in the back-end system. It is possible to create express confirmations directly in the Check Status application without having to switch to another application.
Alternatively, an internal dispatcher or shipping department can take delivery of goods and confirm centrally. In this case, an additional approval workflow through the supplier is possible. Then, the goods receipt is posted in the back-end system.
You can also cancel an existing confirmation at item level. In addition to all of this, you can return partial quantities of individual items (or of all items) to your suppliers, and state the reasons for these return deliveries. These reasons are also transferred to the back-end system

  • Contact Person for Vendor in SRM/CUA

    Hello SRM Expert,
We are using Central user administration (CUA and like other system SRM is connected to CUA. I am getting the error 'Central system not accessible' while creating the employee (manage business partner) for business partner (Vendor). When we remove CUA then the error disappear.
Could you please let us know would be our approach for creating employee for vendors (for bidding, auction etc..).
    Steps for Reconstruction
    1. Login to SRM
    2. Click on Manage business partner (BBPMAININT)
    3. Look for Employee for Business Partner 'Create' option and create a  employee for one of the vendors.
    4. You will get the message Central 'System not accessible' .
I know one approach where I can create a SU01 in advance from CUA  and then in manage business partner use this user but this is very long approach looking at the number of vendors we have. Is there a simpler way ?
    Thanks,

    Pradeep
Sorry yes it is not specifically about external users. You should review the note again, particularly scenario 2.
Essentially the note explains that, in a CUA environment, to create a user for an external contact person you need to create the following entry in table "BBP_CUST":
    Key = "EBP_CUA_SCENARIO"; Value = "ACTIVE".
If you do not want to user table maintenance you can create the entry via the following IMG menu path:
Supplier Relationship Management > SRM Server > Technical Basic Settings >
Deactivate User Access to Solution Manager.
(Ignore the transaction title this transaction is essenatially maintenance of table "BBP_CUST").
Then you must ensure that the user specified on the RFC Definition for the CUA client has authorisations to create users IN THE CUA CLIENT, (it already has authorisations to create in the SRM client). This lack of authorisation is probably the reason for your error message.
