World leaks were detected. 7 JavaScript global objects, 1 WKView object, 1 WKPageRef object, 1 WKFrameRef object.

Ok, I'm aware that the world leaks thing is probably nothing but what is going on with the other stuff? What is all of this other junk and how do I get rid of it? it happens when I close a Safari window and it tells me to report it.
The following world leaks were detected (the check is done when all browser windows are closed):
7 JavaScript global objects, 1 WKView object, 1 WKPageRef object, 1 WKFrameRef object.

If you have Safari's debug menu enabled (to the right of Help), then click that & de-select 'Always Check For World Leaks'.
If no debug menu, select all of the line below, then use Edit-Copy (or Command C) to copy it, then quit Safari.
defaults delete com.apple.Safari AlwaysCheckForWorldLeaks
Next, open Terminal from Applications/Utilities & paste in what you copied (Edit - Paste or Command V) & press enter

  • Safari, and world leaks from web frame objects

    hello,
    I'm using tiger 10.4.10, and safari 2.0.4. Whenever I close out my windows in Safari, I get an error message saying that a world leak has been identified and that the cause as I understand it, is from 2 web frame objects. After searching these forums, I haven't found an answer, but have come to understand possibly 2 factors:
    1) yes, check for world leaks in safari is "checked"
    2) in safari 3, there is no such thing as world leaks?
    My question is this, I've never had a security breach before on my mac, how do I get rid of these world leaks? If I am to download safari 3, will it take care of my problem?

    Hi Jmds and welcome to the forums!
    the cause as I understand it, is from 2 web frame objects
    I think that is correct. Safari 3 uses a different webcore which also affects Mail, iTunes and other applications. This why it is vital that you do NOT delete Safari 2 before installing it. The Safari 3 installer does this for you, and in such a way that the UNinstaller that comes with the download will revert you to Safari 2 if you decide to change your mind.
    In safari 3, there is no such thing as world leaks?
    Merely answering 'No' would probably be tempting fate, but put it this way: since using Safari 3 I have not experienced any (not one) world leak.
    how do I get rid of these world leaks?
    All you need to do is close Safari, and they are gone.
    If I am to download safari 3, will it take care of my problem?
    Well, it worked for me! I still have 'check for world leaks' checked in the debug menu, but have never seen one in Safari 3.
    I word this with care, but Apple have said that a final non-beta version of Safari 3 for Tiger will be forthcoming. Now that Leopard has been released, I would think that Safari 3 for Tiger is due in the near future (just my opinion, hosts!), in which case you might as well wait for this final version.
    Safari 3.0.3 beta has been much faster and more stable (for me) that Safari 2 ever was. Hopefully that will be your experience as well.

  • Cs3 bug - global objects and frame labels

    Just found a bug that took me an hour to figure out.
    A strange problem occurred when I had a global object and a
    frame label named the same.
    Example:
    _global.discussion = new Object();
    //lots of functions here
    I was directing the timeline of a movieClip to the frame
    label "discussion". On this frame there were a number of actions
    involving the discussion object. However, flash was treating the
    object as if it didn't exist. All variables / functions residing in
    this object were completely gone. Has anyone seen this problem. If
    not, watch out for it.
    james

    that's coder bug, not a flash bug.

  • Has the Global Object Security changed

    We have a form that uses a global object to work. Since Acrobat 9 and the introduction of the GOSP we have had to remind users to uncheck the "enable global object security policy" in the Javascript section of preferences.
    Recently this has stopped working, the code still fails with a "InvalidSetError: Set not possible, invalid or unknown."
    what;s going on?
    can I re-enable the global objects maybe with a registry hack?

    Thanks for getting back to me, I have sorted the issue (hopefully)
    there are three sets of fields that form a date selector they all end in the same two digit number to identify them (which set on which page) this two digit ident is saved to a global variable so that the scripts that then make the day, month and year selector fields un-hide etc
    anyway, it turned out that the first set was the one that failed, the other two on the page worked fine. So I deleted set 1 and copied set 2 and placed them where set 1 was, it all worked fine so I just renamed the fields back to set 1 and all was still ok.
    The odd thing is that this issue has been there since the first version of the form in 2010 but has only now chosen to surface.
    this is the code that the button uses
    var fieldExtension = event.target.name.substring(event.target.name.length -2, event.target.name.length)
    global.dateField = "date" + fieldExtension
    if (this.getField("day" + fieldExtension).display == display.hidden){
      showDate()
    }else{
      hideDate()
    Anyway, all sorted

  • Getfilebyserverrelativeurl not working in Javascript client object model

    Hi,
    I am using the "getfilebyserverrelativeurl" to verify if the file exists. But it does not seem to work.
    I am using Javascript client object model.
    Below is the code used:
    //ImageName = "test1.jpg" . This file does not exist in the below location
    var url = oweb.get_url() + "/Lists/LibraryName/folder1/" + ImageName;
    try {
    var fileUrl = oweb.get_serverRelativeUrl() + "/Lists/LibraryName/folder1/" + ImageName;
    oweb.getFileByServerRelativeUrl(fileUrl);
    window.location = url;
    catch (e) {
    alert("File does not exist.");
    I am not getting any errors in javascript, but the alert is not showing up.
    The file does not exist in the folder, so I am expecting the alert, but in-turn it redirects to "Page not found" OOB page.
    How to fix this?
    Thanks

    Hello,
    I see a few odd things with that code.
    Try it with the following changes and see if it makes a difference:
    // declared globally
    var fileName= "";
    var fileurl = "";
    function downloadImage(){
    fileName = "image1.zip";
    fileurl = SP.ClientContext.get_current().get_url() + "/LibraryName/foldername/" + fileName;
    var clientcontext = new SP.ClientContext.get_current()
    var oweb = clientcontext.get_web();
    var ofile = oweb.getFileByServerRelativeUrl(fileurl);
    clientcontext.load(ofile);
    clientcontext.executeQueryAsync(Function.createDelegate(this, this.RenderDownloadfilesOnSuccess), Function.createDelegate(this, this.RenderDownloadfilesOnFailure));
    function RenderDownloadfilesOnSuccess() {
    window.location = fileurl;
    function RenderDownloadfilesOnFailure(sender, args) {
    alert(fileName + " does not exist.");
    Which version of Internet Explorer are you using for debugging? The F12 developer tools will allow you to debug JavaScript and "step out" of executing JavaScript code so you can trace the problem back to where it originates in your own code
    instead of debugging the resulting errors that crop up in the built-in stuff (like MicrosoftAjax.js)

  • Global Object Differences

    Does anyone know where I can read up on the differences between Acrobat 9 and X on the global object?

    Under Changes for 10.1.1, XP system I created the following path below and even reboot the computer and still get the same error message.  I am trying to get 3 computers up and running 1 in the same building and 2 oversea in Czech Republic.  I had one of the Czech Republic computers rolled back to Reader 9.0 and had them place the script in the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\JavaScript folder, again same error message.  Could there be an issue with my code being written in the USA and there using a Reader made for Czech Republic?

  • How can I get an item and it's attachments from the current list using SP's JavaScript Client Object Model on newform.aspx?

    I only recently learned/read about SharePoint's JavaScript Client Object Model. I'm reading online trying to figure this out but not having much luck.
    On newform.aspx (and dispform.aspx) I want to get the
    current list,
    the last item created, and it's attachments. I now the CAML query I need to get the last item created, but first I have to get the current list and I am not sure how to do that.
    I tried this but it returns null:
    SP.ListOperation.Selection.getSelectedList()

    Hi,
    For your issue, you can get the list name from the new form url and retrieve the list last created item :

  • Communication between javascript and Objective-c in iOS.

    We wanted to have a communication between javascript and objective c code. We have already tried the below approach.
    To load fake URLs in JS and append a string which will be used as parameter to the Objective-C code and parse that URL in this delegate method:
    -(BOOL)webView(UIWebView *)webView shouldStartLoadWithRequest(NSURLRequest *)request navigationType(UIWebViewNavigationType)navigationType
    Then send the return value by calling the native method stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString again with parameter callID.
    But we wanted to access Objective class object in Javascript code so that we can call it's methods from javascript code using this object.Android supports this behaviour using addJavaScriptInterface method in webview. Is it possible to have the similar approach in IOS? If not what is the best approach possible to acheive this? If we could achieve similar behaviour then we don't need to change the Jacascript code and will be reused. Please suggest the best possible solution.

  • Add multiple people using Javascript Client Object Model

    I am trying to add multiple people to a SP column of type Person/Group i.e. people picker. I am able
    to add one successfully using their userId, but HAVE no clue how to do that for multiple people. Here is the code for one user:
    function UserDrop(e, toElement, listGuid, columnName) {
    //EcmaScript Client Object Model
    var ctx = new SP.ClientContext.get_current();
    var list = ctx.get_web().get_lists().getById(listGuid);
    var item = list.getItemById(elementId);
    //columnName is of type person/group and I am adding user //whose userId is 7
    item.set_item(columnName, 7);
    item.update();
    // asynchronous call
    ctx.executeQueryAsync(
    function () { toElement.innerHTML = userLinkHtml; },
    function () {alert ("Error")}
    return false;
    This works great and I can add user whose userId is 7, however I want to add multiple people like let's say users of user Ids 7 and 8.
    Any ideas or help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi ,
    Can somebody let me know how the same(assigning the array values to lookup value field) can be achieved with multi-select lookup value. SP.FieldLookUpValue do not have any such methods like fromUser. Please help. Please find my code block below
    clientContext = new SP.ClientContext.get_current();
    if (this.clientContext != undefined && clientContext != null) {
    var webSite = clientContext.get_web();
    oList = webSite.get_lists().getByTitle("Add New User");
    $.urlParam = function(name){
    var results = new RegExp('[\\?&]' + name + '=([^&#]*)').exec(window.location.href);
    return results[1] || 0;
    var itemid = parseInt($.urlParam('ID'));
    var item = oList.getItemById(itemid);
    var users = new Array();
    users.push(SP.FieldLookupValue.set_lookupId(1));
    users.push(SP.FieldLookupValue.set_lookupId(2));
    item.set_item('Responsibility', users);
    item.update();
    clientContext.executeQueryAsync(Function.createDelegate(this, this.success), Function.createDelegate(this, this.failed));

  • Enable anonymous access for Javascript Client Object Model

    In SharePoint 2010 it was possible to use the Javascript Client Object Model with anonymous access enabled by removing "GetItems" from the ClientCallableSettings.AnonymousRestrictedTypes.
    In SharePoint 2013 however, it seems that an extra security barrier has been implemented. Trying to use the Javascript Client Object Model results in the following message: "Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or access this
    resource."
    After this I went on to do a little research, and it appears that Javascript Client Object Model actually relies on the REST API (please correct me if I'm mistaken), and the REST API also doesn't seem to work as an anonymous user.
    So I'm in the dark here. I can't imagine that SharePoint 2013 (so heavily relying on the client object model) can't be used with anonymous access. I've also found very little documentation on anonymous access in combination with SharePoint 2013.
    So, how do I enable the Javascript Client Object Model to be used with anonymous access enabled?
    P.S. Needless to say, my web application is enabled for anonymous access and so is my site collection.

    There are really 4 things you need to do to enable anonymous access:
    1. In web application level, enable anonymous.
    2. In site collection level, make sure anonymous access Entire Website.
    3. In Web level, set Full Permission Masks, till here, you're able to anonymously access REST APIs.
    # Enable Anonymous access
    $web = Get-SPWeb $url
    if($web -ne $null)
        Write-Host
        Write-Host -ForegroundColor Yellow "Enabling Anonymous access on:" $web.Url
        Write-Host
        $web.AnonymousState = "On"
        Write-Host -ForegroundColor Yellow "AnonymousState set to:" $web.AnonymousState
        $web.AnonymousPermMask64 = "FullMask"
        Write-Host -ForegroundColor Yellow "AnonymousPermMask64 set to:" $web.AnonymousPermMask64
        $web.Update()
        Write-Host
    Below are the things to enable anonymous client object model APIs:
    4. In web application level, Require Use Remote Interfaces Permission - uncheck it.
    5. In web application level, Anonymous Restricted Types, remove all of them:
    $app.ClientCallableSettings.AnonymousRestrictedTypes.RemoveAll()

  • Fetching file size using CAML query in Javascript client object model

    Hi,
    I am using the Javascript client object model to retrieve contents of a document library.
    I have a document library, which contains a folder "Folder1" . "Folder1" has a zip file. I would like to get the file size of the zip file.
    I have tried the below code, but not sure, how to fetch the file size.
    function FetchImage() {
    var clientcontext = new SP.ClientContext.get_current();
    var oweb = clientcontext.get_web();
    var olibrary = oweb.get_lists().getByTitle(DocLibrary);
    var query = new SP.CamlQuery();
    query.set_folderServerRelativeUrl("Lists/DocLibrary/folder1/");
    folder = olibrary.getItems(query);
    clientcontext.load(folder, 'Include(Title,ContentType, FileLeafRef,FileDirRef,File)');
    clientcontext.executeQueryAsync(Function.createDelegate(this, this.RenderDataOnSuccess), Function.createDelegate(this, this.RenderDataOnFailure));
    function RenderDataOnSuccess() {
    var ListEnumerator = this.folder.getEnumerator();
    while (ListEnumerator.moveNext()) {
    var currentItem = ListEnumerator.get_current();
    if (_contentType.get_name() != "Folder") {
    var File = currentItem.get_file();
    if (File != null) {

  • Global Object Services (GOS) Attachments Deleted from Maintenance Task List

    We use the Global Object Services (GOS) Attachments function to attach Word and Excel Documents to Maintenance Task Lists (transactions IA02, IA09). Recently we noted that more than 300+ Attachments had been deleted/removed from the GOS list visible via IA03/IA09. We are at a loss for explaining how this occurred- all Attachments appear to have been deleted at once/instantaneously. We can see the underlying tables (SGOSHIST and others) still contain entries, but we do not understand why the Attachments are no longer visible in the GOS list via Maintenance Task Lists, or how the ability to access these via GOS can be restored. This is not occurring with other PM Object Attachments - only Task Lists. Any help or suggestions appreciated.

    Is it possible that there was some authorisation change in a role associated with task lists? That would be consistent with the immediate loss - but only in the task list area. Another thought - has anyone been doing any programming in the Generic Object Services Business Add-Ins (perhaps for another module?) - They might have inadvertently clobbered your use?
    Do you use the GOS notes functionality? Does that still work?

  • Opening Excel Report results in 'Errors were detected in File .....'

    Dear Professionals,
    Ive an Excel report that upon openning produces the following error.
    'Errors were detected in file 'T:\Customer .......'
    Excel proceeds to strip out the ALL the Query Tables from the report discarding them due to integrity problems as described in the original error.
    Query Table 'ExternalData_2' on '[xxxxxx Report - April FY14_v1.12.5.1.xls]SoldTo' was discarded due to integrity problems.
    The query tables are connected to an 2010 MSAccess db on a networked drive. The file was created with Excel 2013 on a virgin machine, no add-ins are active.  The file is saved in Excel .xls (2003) format.
    While the error seems to only make cosmetic changes, the data seems intact.  However it is an confidence issue for the end user to encounter such an error as these reports go to external customers.
    I've circumvented the error by converting the Listobjects to Ranges prior to saving the file but I'd like to get to the root of the problem please.
    Ive looked at disabling the office validation feature, however this is short term local solution that didnt seem to work and not practical going forward.
    Also seemingly related, when compiling the report in Excel 2010 it randomly crashes at the point where the .Save method is executed (locally or to network).  This crash disappeared when the report was compiled with Excel 2013.  I've also not experienced
    the crash since the Listobjects were converted to ranges when compiling in Excel 2010.
    Any help / pointers would be most appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    David

    Hi,
    Thank you for using Excel IT Pro Discussions forum.
    Are you using Office 2010 RTM version? If it is trial version or beta version, I suggest upgrading it to the RTM version.
    First, please check if this KB article helps:
    Error message when you try to open a workbook in Excel 2007: "Excel found unreadable content in Book_Name"
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929766
    Note: The steps are for Excel 2007. The steps in Excel 2010 are similar.
    If the problem persists, let’s also check the following settings in Excel 2010.
    ========
    1.
    In Excel 2010, click File > Options > Trust Center > File block settings.
    2.
    Check the checkboxes before:
    Excel 2007 and later Wordbooks and Templates
    Excel 2007 and later Macro-Enabled Workbooks and Templates
    Excel 2007 and later Add-in Files
    Excel 2007 and later Binary Workbooks
    Then, try to open the Excel 2007 file in Excel 2010 and check the results again.
