WPF WebBrowser Control Security Message After Loading Local XML File

When I use the .Source property of the WebBrowser control, it displays the XML file I pointed to, but then puts a security banner at the top, stating that some content has been disabled.  I can't figure out how to stop that warning from appearing.
I've played with IE security settings, to no avail.
I've found some articles about putting a "mark of the web" tag inside the XML file, but I can't do that because the files are created by a 3rd-party application, and I can't edit all of them.
Isn't there a simple way to just turn off the feature for the WebBrowser control without messing with my IE security settings?
Thanks...

Ok, I did exactly what you suggested.  Brand new project.  Instead of using the file dialog, I just hard-coded the path to my xml-type file directly, as your prior suggestion stated.  The actual statement was:
string myFile = @"file://127.0.0.1/c$/data/local/JMPS/data/CRD CWD Routes/myFile.crd";
Then I used the proper code to set the Source property of the WebBrowser.  The file is really, really there, I promise.  Upon running, I get a dialog box saying that it "cannot find 'file://127.0.0.1/c$/data......."
So there is some reason this will not work.  I am working in a high security area, so perhaps the machines are locked down to the extent that the method won't work?
Can you explain why this method *should* work?  Why does using the IP address format defeat the security message?
Is there perhaps some other method?  Some of the articles I read talked about putting a "mark of the web" tag inside the xml file.  Is this a possible option?  I can't really modify the files, but if I could get NavigateToStream
or NavigateToString methods to work, I could insert that tag inside the xml file contents.  Unfortunately, as my other post states, I'm having a lot of challenges getting that to work also.
I think that too is possibly caused by how locked down our development PC's are.
Thanks...

  • Loading local swf files from Application Dir (ios)

    Hi Guys,
    I would like to load additional local swf files to my ios release build but I am confused a little bit because of the new API changes.
    As far as I know at the moment (from Air 3.7 or newer) it is allowed to load local swf files that contains compiled actionscript both from local folder and from a predefined remote host as well.
    My assumption based on this article:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/airodynamics/2013/03/08/external-hosting-of-secondary-swfs-for-air- apps-on-ios/
    I created the text file to include all of my local swf file names and created the following node in the application.xml:
    <iPhone>
           <externalSwfs>assets/SampleSWFInfoFile.txt</externalSwfs>
    </iPhone>
    When I compile the release build (ipa) using command line adt, it converts all of my local swfs into the stripped swfs which is perfect, but even though I include all the swfs in the compiler command, it puts only the SampleSWFInfoFile.txt file into the assets folder in the ipa but not the swf files.
    I assume, it thinks I will load these files from an external host, but I would like to include them in the app itself.
    I tried to copy the stripped swf files from the externalStrippedSwfs folder and comment the <externalSwfs>assets/SampleSWFInfoFile.txt</externalSwfs> node in the application.xml and compile it and this way it puts the swf files into the ipa, but when I try to install and launch the app it crashes and when I test it using Flash Builder it shows an error message
    "VerifyError: Error #1042: Not an ABC file."
    Do any of you guys know the  solution for this problem?
    Thank you for your help in advance!

    You're publishing in AOT mode as long as you use one of these:
    The AIR Developer Tool or ADT has targets that lets you package apps either for the AOT mode or Interpreter mode. The targets for packaging in AOT mode are ipa-app-store, ipa-ad-hoc, ipa-test and ipa-debug.
    Flash Pro CS6 and Flash Builder automate this process pretty well so it's invisible but the SWF loads and executes code just fine for me when directly published.
    If I take it to command line I can use this to compile successfully (iPad test app):
    adt -package -target ipa-ad-hoc -storetype pkcs12 -keystore my.p12 -provisioning-profile my.mobileprovision NameOfApp.ipa NameOfApp-app.xml NameOfApp.swf iTunesArtwork iTunesArtwork@2x AppIconsForPublish swfs/swfs.txt swfs/GenerateText.swf
    I at least include generic icons in there but I made a 'swfs' folder and placed 'swfs.txt' and 'GenerateText.swf' in there. The SWF uses code to randomly generate text and changes every second using a Timer. I load it in using the same code you do with the ApplicationDomain.currentDomain context. I see the SWF appear and text start randomly changing.
    As I compile there's a folder generated called 'externalStrippedSwfs' with the stripped SWF in there.
    One thing to note is I do not supply <externalSwfs>swfs/swfs.txt</externalSwfs> in my iPhone settings. If I do that it doesn't work. I supply the path to the text file containing the SWF I want to be stripped to adt itself along with the SWFs I want stripped and it takes care of the rest.

  • I can't enter any values in JTextField after loading the flash files.

    Hi to all,
    In my application I have two panels. One panel has JTextField and another panel i loaded flash files.
    The flash files are build by CS4. I'm using JDIC to load the flash files. While open the application i loaded flash file and I try to enter any input in the textfiled, but I can't. After minimize and maximize the application I can enter the values. This problem happens only after I change the jre version from 1.6 to 1.7.
    While loading flash files I'm getting the below exception.

  • An example about how to load a XML file

    Hi,
    I've been working on Oracle for many years but fot the first time I was asked to load a XML file into a table.
    As an example, I've found this on the web, but it doesn't work.
    Can someone tell me why? I hoped this example could help me.
    the file acct.xml is this:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <ACCOUNT_HEADER_ACK>
    <HEADER>
    <STATUS_CODE>100</STATUS_CODE>
    <STATUS_REMARKS>check</STATUS_REMARKS>
    </HEADER>
    <DETAILS>
    <DETAIL>
    <SEGMENT_NUMBER>2</SEGMENT_NUMBER>
    <REMARKS>rp polytechnic</REMARKS>
    </DETAIL>
    <DETAIL>
    <SEGMENT_NUMBER>3</SEGMENT_NUMBER>
    <REMARKS>rp polytechnic administration</REMARKS>
    </DETAIL>
    <DETAIL>
    <SEGMENT_NUMBER>4</SEGMENT_NUMBER>
    <REMARKS>rp polytechnic finance</REMARKS>
    </DETAIL>
    <DETAIL>
    <SEGMENT_NUMBER>5</SEGMENT_NUMBER>
    <REMARKS>rp polytechnic logistics</REMARKS>
    </DETAIL>
    </DETAILS>
    <HEADER>
    <STATUS_CODE>500</STATUS_CODE>
    <STATUS_REMARKS>process exception</STATUS_REMARKS>
    </HEADER>
    <DETAILS>

    </DETAIL>
    <DETAIL>
    <SEGMENT_NUMBER>50</SEGMENT_NUMBER>
    <REMARKS> base polytechnic logistics</REMARKS>
    </DETAIL>
    </DETAILS>
    </ACCOUNT_HEADER_ACK>
    For the two tags HEADER and DETAILS I have the table:
    create table xxrp_acct_details(
    status_code number,
    status_remarks varchar2(100),
    segment_number number,
    remarks varchar2(100)
    before I've created a
    create directory test_dir as 'c:\esterno'; -- where I have my acct.xml
    and after, can you give me a script for loading data by using XMLTABLE?
    I've tried this but it doesn't work:
    DECLARE
    acct_doc xmltype := xmltype( bfilename('TEST_DIR','acct.xml'), nls_charset_id('AL32UTF8') );
    BEGIN
    insert into xxrp_acct_details (status_code, status_remarks, segment_number, remarks)
    select x1.status_code,
            x1.status_remarks,
            x2.segment_number,
            x2.remarks
    from xmltable(
      '/ACCOUNT_HEADER_ACK/HEADER'
      passing acct_doc
      columns header_no      for ordinality,
              status_code    number        path 'STATUS_CODE',
              status_remarks varchar2(100) path 'STATUS_REMARKS'
    ) x1,
    xmltable(
      '$d/ACCOUNT_HEADER_ACK/DETAILS[$hn]/DETAIL'
      passing acct_doc as "d",
              x1.header_no as "hn"
      columns segment_number number        path 'SEGMENT_NUMBER',
              remarks        varchar2(100) path 'REMARKS'
    ) x2
    END;
    This should allow me to get something like this:
    select * from xxrp_acct_details;
    Statuscode status remarks segement remarks
    100 check 2 rp polytechnic
    100 check 3 rp polytechnic administration
    100 check 4 rp polytechnic finance

    500 process exception 20 base polytechnic
    500 process exception 30
    500 process exception 40 base polytechnic finance
    500 process exception 50 base polytechnic logistics
    but I get:

    06550. 00000 -  "line %s, column %s:\n%s"
    *Cause:    Usually a PL/SQL compilation error.
    and if I try to change the script without using the column HEADER_NO o keep track of the header rank inside the document:

    Hello,
    Your code is not readable (no code tags).
    Anyway, you can use SQL*Loader to load a XML document into a table.
    Here is the link of the documentation with both description and an example at the end of the
    article.

    xmltable(
      '$d/ACCOUNT_HEADER_ACK/DETAILS[$hn]/DETAIL'
      passing acct_doc as "d",
              x1.header_no as "hn"
      columns segment_number number        path 'SEGMENT_NUMBER',
              remarks        varchar2(100) path 'REMARKS'
    ) x2
    returns the error you noticed
    PL/SQL: ORA-00932: inconsistent datatypes: expected - got NUMBER
    is because Oracle is expecting XML to be passed in.  At the moment I forget if it requires a certain format or not, but it is simply expecting the value to be wrapped in simple XML.
    Your query actually runs as is on 11.1 as Oracle changed how that functionality worked when 11.1 was released.  Your query runs slowly, but it does run.
    As you are dealing with groups, is there any way the input XML can be modified to be like
    <ACCOUNT_HEADER_ACK>
    <ACCOUNT_GROUP>
    <HEADER>....</HEADER>
    <DETAILS>....</DETAILS>
    </ACCOUNT_GROUP>
      <ACCOUNT_GROUP>
      <HEADER>....</HEADER>
      <DETAILS>....</DETAILS>
      </ACCOUNT_GROUP>
    </ACCOUNT_HEADER_ACK>
    so that it is easier to associate a HEADER/DETAILS combination?  If so, it would make parsing the XML much easier.
    Assuming the answer is no, here is one hack to accomplish your goal
    select x1.status_code,
            x1.status_remarks,
            x3.segment_number,
            x3.remarks
    from xmltable(
      '/ACCOUNT_HEADER_ACK/HEADER'
      passing acct_doc
      columns header_no      for ordinality,
              status_code    number        path 'STATUS_CODE',
              status_remarks varchar2(100) path 'STATUS_REMARKS'
    ) x1,
    xmltable(
      '$d/ACCOUNT_HEADER_ACK/DETAILS'
      passing acct_doc as "d",
      columns detail_no      for ordinality,
              detail_xml     xmltype       path 'DETAIL'
    ) x2,
    xmltable(
      'DETAIL'
      passing x2.detail_xml
      columns segment_number number        path 'SEGMENT_NUMBER',
              remarks        varchar2(100) path 'REMARKS') x3
    WHERE x1.header_no = x2.detail_no;
    This follows the approach you started with.  Table x1 creates a row for each HEADER node and table x2 creates a row for each DETAILS node.  It assumes there is always a one and only one association between the two.  I use table x3, which is joined to x2, to parse the many DETAIL nodes.  The WHERE clause then joins each header row to the corresponding details row and produces the eight rows you are seeking.
    There is another approach that I know of, and that would be using XQuery within the XMLTable.  It should require using only one XMLTable but I would have to spend some time coming up with that solution and I can't recall whether restrictions exist in 10gR2 Express Edition compared to what can run in 10.2 Enterprise Edition for XQuery.

  • XML Parse error while loading an XML file

    HI Folks,
    I was trying to load and XML file into BODS.. The XML file is well-formed and the same when tested in other tools  is getting loaded without any issues..
    I have created a XML-File format with the corresponding XSD..
    But here in BODS it is giving - Parse error
    1) when i try to view the data of the source XML in my dataflow ..it is giving "XML Parser Failed".. and not able to show data..
    2) When I run my job i get the same pares error - with details as under..
    ---> Error here is "Unable to recognize element 'TAB' " or some time is say " Element TAB should be qualified"
    Please guide with this if you have any info..thanks

    Pierre,
    Depending on the object "myLastFile", the method openDlg might not even exist (if the myLastFile object is not a File object, for instance). And I do not see any need for the myLastFile anyhow, as you are presenting a dialog to select a file to open. I recommend using the global ChooseFile( ) method instead. This will give you a filename as string in full path notation, or null when no file was selected in the dialog. I am not sure what your ExtendScript documentation states about the return value for ChooseFile, but if that differs from what I am telling you here, the documentation is wrong. So, if you replace the first lines of your code with the following it should work:
    function openXMLFile ( ) {
        var filename = ChooseFile ( "Choose XML file ...", "", "*.xml", Constants.FV_ChooseSelect );
    While writing this, I see that Russ has already given you the same advice. Use the symbolic constant value I indicated to use the ChooseFile dialog to select a single file (it can also be used to select a directory or open a file - but you want to control the opening process yourself). Note that this method allows you to set a start directory for the dialog (second parameter). The ESTK autocompletion also gives you a fifth parameter "helplink" which is undocumented and can safely be ignored.
    Good luck

    You can't! Well, at least Flex cannot do this. All Flex can
    do is send this data -- any data -- to the server and it's up to
    you how you want to append this data to a file on the server.
    You see, flex can't write to local files. If you looking for

  • Loading an XML File in an Application!

    Hy Guys!
    I'm quite new on Java, so I'm missing some important knowledge, for example: how to load an XML file in an Application downloaded by Java WebStart:
    In Details:
    I'm downloading an Application which needs an XML File for setting up an Legend. As far as I know, the XMLParser needs a File as argument to parse. By Java WebStart/jnlp, I can't download the XML-File to the local machine, and trying to create an instance by the url (as String), doesn't work. So now I'm missing some information, and I hope you can help me:
    Is there a possiblility to download the XML file via the application explicitly,
    or is there a possibility to "convert" the ResourceInputStream into a "parseable" class?
    I'm happy for every suggestion ..
    some code:
    public class EvalXML extends org.xml.sax.helpers.DefaultHandler {
    /** Creates a new instance of EvalXML */
    public EvalXML() {
    * @param args the command line arguments
    public static int main(String[] args) {
    DefaultHandler handler = new EvalXML();
    SAXParserFactory factory = SAXParserFactory.newInstance();
    String url = new String();
    //String url = EvalXML.class.getClassLoader().getResource("com/msgis/res/Lcc_Test_XML_Addressen.xml").getPath();
    //String url= "msgis.jar!/com/msgis/res/Lcc_Test_XML_Addressen.xml";

    else{
    System.out.println("no argument");
    return 0;
    System.out.println("PATH: \n" + url + "\n");
    try{
    SAXParser saxParser = factory.newSAXParser();
    //saxParser.parse(new File(EvalXML.class.getClassLoader().getResource("com/msgis/res/Lcc_Test_XML_Addressen.xml").getPath()), handler);
    saxParser.parse(new File(url), handler);
    System.out.println("pascht");

    System.out.println(t.getMessage());

  • Performance problems loading an XML file into oracle database

    Hello ODI Guru's,
    I am trying to load and XML file into the database after doing simple business validations. But the interface takes hours to complete.
    1. The XML files are large in size >200 Mb. We have an XSD file for the schema definition instead of a DTD.
    2. We used the external database feature for loading these files in database.
    The following configuration was used in the XML Data Server:
    jdbc:snps:xml?f=D:\CustomerMasterData1\CustomerMasterInitialLoad1.xml&d=D:\CustomerMasterData1\CustomerMasterInitialLoad1.xsd&re=initialLoad&s=CM&db_props=oracle&ro=true
    3. Now we reverse engineer the XML files and created models using ODI Designer
    4. Similar thing was done for the target i.e. an Oracle database table as well.
    5. Next we created a simple interface with one-to-one mapping from the XSD schema to the Oracle database table and executed the interface. This execution takes more than one hour to complete.
    6. We are running ODI client on Windows XP Professional SP2.
    7. The Oracle database server(Oracle 10g 10.2.0.3) for the target schema as well as the ODI master and work repositories are on the same machine.
    8. I tried changing the following properties but it is not making much visible difference:
    use_prepared_statements=Y
    use_batch_update=Y
    batch_update_size=510
    commit_periodically=Y
    num_inserts_before_commit=30000
    I have another problem that when I set batch_update_size to value greater that 510 I get the following error:
    java.sql.SQLException: class org.xml.sax.SAXException
    class java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException said -32413
    at com.sunopsis.jdbc.driver.xml.v.a(v.java)
    The main concern is why should the interface taking so long to execute.
    Please send suggestions to resolve the problem.
    Thanks in advance,
    Best Regards,
    Nikunj

    Approximately how many rows are you trying to insert?
    One of the techniques which I found improved performance for this scenario was to extract from the xml to a flat file, then to use SQL*LOADER or external tables to load the data into Oracle.

  • Sending variable value from php to flash to load an xml file

    I would like to load an XML file from the location locally or on the server being unaware of the name of the file. I am using PHP for sending the filename to Flash.
    The below is the PHP code:
    <?php
    filesInDir('C:\Documents and Settings\457305\My Documents\shrikant\Flash Tutorials\webassist');
    function filesInDir($tdir)
            $dirs = scandir($tdir);
            foreach($dirs as $file)
                    if (($file == '.')||($file == '..'))
                    elseif (is_dir($tdir.'/'.$file))
                            filesInDir($tdir.'/'.$file);
                    else
                            echo "fileName=$file";
    ?>
    And below is the loading Actionscript code:
    import flash.net.URLLoader;
    import flash.net.URLRequest;
    import flash.events.Event;
    import flash.net.URLVariables;
    stop();
    // Define the PHP file to be loaded
    var phpFile:String = "http://localhost/webassist/test.php";
    var cons_xml:XML;
    var xmlLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
    // Specify dataFormat property of the URLLoader to be "VARIABLES"
    // This ensures variables loaded into Flash with same variable names
    xmlLoader.dataFormat = URLLoaderDataFormat.VARIABLES;
    xmlLoader.load(new URLRequest(phpFile));
    xmlLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, processXML);
    function processXML(evt:Event):void
              trace(evt.target.data.fileName);
              //cons_xml = new XML(evt.target.data.fileName);
              //gotoAndPlay(2);
    When I trace the evt.target.data it displays "fileName=mainOpenEndedXML%2Exml" and when I trace evt.target.data.fileName the fileName is properly displayed as "mainOpenEndedXML.xml".
    But in the next two lines where the loading occurs it does not load the file i.e the swf file from xml doesn't play.
    I have been searching the Internet for answers but not able to find any solutions.
    The loading works properly if i directly insert the xml file in the code and the swf's in the XML file play propertly. The below is the code for the same:
    import flash.net.URLLoader;
    import flash.net.URLRequest;
    import flash.events.Event;
    import flash.net.URLVariables;
    stop();
    var cons_xml:XML;
    var xmlLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
    xmlLoader.load(new URLRequest("mainOpenEndedXML.xml"));
    xmlLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, processXML);
    function processXML(evt:Event):void
              cons_xml = new XML(evt.target.data);
              gotoAndPlay(2);
    Any help on this would be greatly appreciated

    Yes. you already said that, but I guess you don't understand what I said.  You are loading the PHP fle to get the filename, but nowhere are you taking that filename and loading the file that was named.
    You need to do two loading operations.  The first one to get the filename, and the second to load the file with that name.  Maybe if you name the PHP file loader phpLoader instead of xmlLoader it will start to make more sense to you.  Something like the following...
    import flash.net.URLLoader;
    import flash.net.URLRequest;
    import flash.events.Event;
    import flash.net.URLVariables;
    stop();
    // Define the PHP file to be loaded
    var phpFile:String = "http://localhost/webassist/test.php";
    var phpLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
    // Specify dataFormat property of the URLLoader to be "VARIABLES"
    // This ensures variables loaded into Flash with same variable names
    phpLoader.dataFormat = URLLoaderDataFormat.VARIABLES;
    phpLoader.load(new URLRequest(phpFile));
    phpLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, processPHP);
    function processPHP(evt:Event):void
             var xmlLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
             xmlLoader.load(new URLRequest(String(evt.target.data.fileName)));
             xmlLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, processXML);
    var cons_xml:XML;
    function processXML(evt:Event):void
              cons_xml = new XML(evt.target.data);
              gotoAndPlay(2);

  • Working with local xml file

    Hi, I would like to work with a local xml file, but I don't want to point to a strict location as I would like my application to run on a few different machines.
    Is there a special place within Netbeans project structure that I can place such files?
    Say if I try and load a file "somefile.xml" - where is it going to look first?
    I have a <default package> with my settings.xml in there. How can I reference this within my app?

    There you would place such a file in the <tt>main/resources</tt> folder
    Say if I try and load a file "somefile.xml" - where is it going to look first?I'ts going to look for it where you tell your program to.
    When created as <tt>new File("somefile.xml")</tt> it will bee searched in the <i>currend working directory</i>. The problem with that is that it is unreliable what this will be at runtime (once your Program left your IDE...).
    You should better get it via <tt>getClass().getResource("somefile.xml")</tt> But in this case the file must be present in the classpath in the same package as the Class aquireing it. Adding a <tt>'/'</tt> in front of the file name expects it in the root directory of a classpath entry.
    I have a <default package> with my settings.xml in there. How can I reference this within my app?<tt>getClass().getResource("/settings.xml")</tt>
    But in case you include it into the delivery jar file it will not be writable. Also you cannot expect the installation folder of your App to be writable. On startup of your program you should copy your (default) settings to a writable place like <tt>new File(System.getProperty("user.home2),".myApp/settings.xml");</tt> and modify it there.

    did not work?
    IS there any way I can load the .xml file list from 'C:\Drag_list\Modified' into xmltype table?
    Thanks.

    did not work?Generally we'll need a bit more info than "it didn't work", was there an ora-X error message? What was the error?
    Assuming you're on *nix a 'C:\<folder name>\...' directory spec just plain won't work, the directory has to point to a valid storage location on the database server host.
    Try a host command (at the database server) and make sure the .xml file name and location is valid, in sqlplus a "bang" (exclamation) runs a host command, i.e.:
    SQL> !ls -l /xdb/faq/testdata
    ... usr grp ... 2003.xml
    ...But if you are on windows, its the `host` command:
    SQL> host dir c:\drag_list\modified
    mm/dd/yyyy ... 2011.xml
    ...  The create directory ... as ... must point to a valid storage location for it to work, at least that is step one.

    Not a perfectly framed question. How do you want to load the XML file? Hoping you want to parse the xml file and load it into a table you can do this.
    This is the xml file
    karthick% cat emp_details.xml
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
