Hi,
the af:outputText can print HTML if you set the escape property to false.
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/apirefs.1111/e12419/tagdoc/af_outputText.html
Note that using an iFrame component is a better choice if all you want to do is to dump HTML onto a page

  • Write HTML to Proper Page - Always writes to page - where servlet called

    I call a servlet from a second window(thirdWin) that was created/opened by the first window(window) in HTML. The servlet writes out HTML to the browser using the following code(note HTML$ is a java class that contains methods of HTML code lines):
    PrintWriter out=response.getWriter();
    HTML$.pageBegin();
    HTML$.tableHeader("Murph");
    The problem is that the servlet writes/ outputs the HTML code to the third window(thirdWin). I want to call the servlet from the third window and write/output the new HTML to the first window. There must be a way of accomplishing this. One, by setting the browser window directory to the original window(first window) before the servlet is called so that the new HTML gets written to that page, or two, by setting the brower window to the proper window in the servlet before writing the HTML out to the window.
    The following is the code in the servlet that opens the thirdWin. It is a javascript function whose body is a Servlet that has been written it out to the browser page. Do not get confused with me calling it the thirdWin it is acually a second window opened by the opener, I have just called it thirdWin.
    out.println("thirdWin = open('', 'UserName', 'height=300, width=500 scrollbars=yes');");
         out.println("thirdWin.document.write(\"<TITLE>Enter UserName</TITLE>\");");
    out.println("thirdWin.document.write(\"<BODY BGCOLOR=white>\");");
    out.println("thirdWin.document.write(\"<FORM name='showEdit' method='post' action='showEditProfile'>\");");
    out.println("thirdWin.document.write(\"<table><tr><td width=120>User Name :</td><td width=300><input type='text' class='listRow' name='user_name'></td></tr></table>\");");
    out.println("thirdWin.document.write(\"<table><tr><td width=120>Password :</td><td width=300><input type='text' class='listRow' name='user_name'></td></tr></table>\");");
    out.println("thirdWin.document.write(\"<table><tr><td width=120>Search :</td><td width=300><input type='submit' name='showEdit' value='Show Profile'/></td></tr></table>\");");
    /**out.println("thirdWin.document.write(\"<table><input id =\"subfds\" type=\"button\" name=\"Submit5\" value=\"Enter Information\" onclick=\"\"/></table>\");");**/
    out.println("thirdWin.document.write(\"</FORM>\");");
    out.println("thirdWin.document.write(\"</BODY>\");");
    out.println("thirdWin.document.write(\"</HTML>\");");
         out.println("thirdWin.document.close()");

    Since you want your function to write directly onto the page,
    the only way would be to pass the "out" variable to your function
    So your function would be
    ==============
    public void pageFooter(JspWriter out, boolean bolEndBanner)
    jspout.println( "<table width=\"100%\" align=\"center\" cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0 bgcolor=\"#FFFFFF\">" );
    jspout.println( "<tr>" );
    jspout.println( "</tr>" );
    jspout.println( "</table>" );
    // Dbut de la Fin de page Normale
    jspout.println( "</body>" );
    jspout.println( "</head>" );
    jspout.println( "</html>" );

  • Error when running applet in a adf page (but succeed in html)

    Hi all
    I have a movie player applet and want to put it in my web page.
    I tried with html and the applet work just fine. Here is my code:
    <applet code=SimplePlayerApplet width=320 height=300>
    <param name=file value="Unknown2.mov">
    </applet>
    However, when I put it in adf page, nothing is displayed:
    <jsp:plugin code="SimplePlayerApplet.class" codebase="." type="applet" align="middle" width="320" height="300" jreversion="1.6" >
    <jsp:params>
    <jsp:param name="file" value="Unknown2.mov" />
    </jsp:params>
    <jsp:fallback>
    <p>This plugin can't be loaded</p>
    </jsp:fallback>
    </jsp:plugin>
    The html page and the jspx page I put in the same directory structure.
    And link to html: http://127.0.0.1:7101/JMFStudio-Project1-context-root/htmlTest.html
    Link to the jspx: http://127.0.0.1:7101/JMFStudio-Project1-context-root/faces/untitled1.jspx
    So I tried changing codebase to "/faces" but nothing happens.
    Any suggestion? should I put codebase as "." ??
    Thanks a lot.

    I use the verbatim tag, or use the <jsp:plugin> as above with the code attribute specified without ".class" the applet is loaded ( I can tell as there is loading media panel of the applet displayed ). However the movie is never played.
    <f:verbatim>
    <applet code="SimplePlayerApplet" width="320" height="300">
    <param name="file" value="Unknown2.mov" />
    </applet>
    </f:verbatim>
    It seems that the movie file is not found??
    If I view source code of the page, I see the code generated as follow
    - <f:verbaim><applet>..... : <applet code="SimplePlayerApplet" width="320" height="300"><param name="file" value="2.mov"/></applet>
    -<jsp:plugin> : <EMBED type="application/x-java-applet;version=1.6" pluginspage="" code="SimplePlayerApplet" codebase="." align="middle" archive="" hspace="" name="" vspace="" title="" height="300" width="320" file="Unknown2.mov" >
    <NOEMBED><p>This plugin can't be loaded.</p></NOEMBED></EMBED>
    Is there any issue of loading file source with adf page? Previously I encountered the similar issue when trying to embed a plain movie file into a adf page. I used <embed> or <object> tag inside the verbatim tag. But there is nothing displayed in the browser. (I suspect the problem with the loading of file source as when I replace the movie source (which is stored locally) by a url to a video on the internet, it worked fine)
    Any suggestion? how do I debug this?
    Thanks a lot.
    Khue.

  • Open HTML page as a tab inside ADF Page

    Hi All,
    I have a link in my adf(jspx) page,which should actaully open a html page in a new tab.
    I am not sure how to implement this.
    I am able to open jsp fragments on new tab.But not HTML Pages.
    Can anyone help me on this.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Vikram
    Thanks for the reply.
    I want the tab to be opened inside the adf page itself as adf dynamic tab..not as a separate tab in browser.
    Sorry for not framing the question to the point.
    Opening adf fragments in a new tab inside the adf page itself is possible.
    But am able not able to specify a html page to open in a new adf tab in the same adf page.
    Thanks.

  • To Display HTML content on ADF page

    Guys,
    I want to display the content from Website (its contains images and text) on to the ADF page. Which component should i use?

  • Where i shall write html code in jdeveloper

    Hello,
    please tell me where i can write html code in jdeveloper.
    Thanks

    Hi catalina,
    Html tags should not be used directly inside ADF faces pages which may lead to some undesirable results instead you can use ADF Faces tags itself using which you can do what ever you wanted to do with html tags.
    If you still need to use html tags, you can use ADF Faces html tags.

    Hi Simon
    Thanks for you help and I can't see the tag you suggested. Maybe you should make you code between tag, replace the [] with {} .

    I have a database, it holds information of a user, my applet interacts with the database to retrieve/write etc. What i want to do is when some1 clicks a button to open a new Internet Explorer page and then output a record from the database. Just like System.out.println(forname + surname + date + score);
    I dont know how to open a new IE and then output the info to it.
    I dont have any code for this part as I havent written it and I dont think there is any value in posting code to retrieve from database. We can just treat them as strings? String forname, surname etc.

  • Creating a New ADF Page Template

    -- I posted this in the WebCenter forum but since it is primarily around ADF I thought I would post here also
    -- Extending WebCenter Spaces 11.1.1.3: Creating New Page Template w/Float Div
    Hi all,
    I am attempting to create a new group space page template for Spaces that has a floating div on the right side that will have content wrap around it. It should look similar in concept to the image in this link:
    http://css.maxdesign.com.au/floatutorial/tutorial0104.htm
    This seems like it should be simple enough but I need to allow dynamic content to be added each region with Oracle Composer. Currently when I am testing this and add content the two regions end up in distinct columns. This appears to be a result of the html elements that get wrapped around the content by the ADF tags. Has anyone successfully created a page template / page similar to this or have any ideas on how I might get it to work? Below is the current code I am using:
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>

    Hi ,
    I understand that you want to be able to select content type when creating a wiki page to a Wiki Page library. In browser ,you cannot add content types to a wiki page library .You need to edit the library in SharePoint Designer.
    Open the site in SharePoint Designer.
    Click on the library. Check ‘Allow management of content types’ in the Settings section.
    Then you can add content types to this page library.
    Then you can add content types in the Site Content Types gallery which inherit from the Wiki Content type.
    Add the newly added content type to the Wiki Page Library.
    In this way ,when you add a new page in the Wiki Page library ,you can choose a different content type .
    Edit the content type in Library Settings .Choose Advanced Settings for the content type .Here you can upload new page for the content type .
    Thanks,

  • Opening ADF page from java script

    I am trying to use window.open(url, winName) to open an ADF page from java script.
    I have set the same winName but when i call the window.open method every time it opens up a new window.
    The code is as below:
    <html>
    <head>
    </head>
    <body>
    <script>
    function openwin() {
    window.open("about:blank", "winDocPrint", "width=800,height=600,location=no");
    </script>
    <form action="http://127.0.0.1:7101/RegionRefresh-ViewController-context-root/faces/EnterAndDisplay?_afrLoop=3611588465186&_afrWindowMode=0&_adf.ctrl-state=zoaas2mc3_4" target="winDocPrint" onsubmit="openwin">
    <input type="submit" value="Print Comments Call ADF">
    </form>
    </body>
    </html>
    when I click the button first time, it opens a new window, and keeps opening a new windows on clicking the button again.
    I want it to use the same window that was opened first time.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sandeep M.

  • How to use HTML5 Video in adf page

    Hi,
    I need to use HTML5 video instead of af:media in my adf page inorder to avoid browser plugin request to the end user.
    I've placed the video tag in .jsff as below:
    <video width="320" height="240" controls="controls" poster="../resource/poster.png">
    <source src="../resource/FAE_Intro_cropped.mp4" type="video/mp4" />
    <source src="../resource/FAE_Intro.ogg" type="video/ogg" />
    Your browser does not support the video tag.
    </video>
    When I run the web application, it shows the poster image but it does not show the video. It simply shows a 'X' in the center.
    I'm using jdev version:
    Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.3.0
    Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.3.PS2_GENERIC_100408.2356.5660
    Can someone please help me in this regard.
    Thanks,
    Bhaskar Podugu

    Yes. I tried surrounding with f:verbatim tag but still it did not worked.
    The actual HTML file when run outside of jdev (i.e., going to the folder and double clicking the .html file) is showing up the video but when the same is run through jdev as a deployment, it doesn't show up.
    I'm testing this in Mozilla FF 9.0.1.
    If the reference to the video file is incorrect, it shouldn't even show the poster image but I can see the poster image which is also placed in the same location.
    I tried placing af:inlineFrame(pointing it to the actual HTML file) inside jsff page, but it did not work.
    Does weblogic server need any configuration for flushing HTML5 Video content?

  • Getting the HTML of a page.

    I wish I could retrieve as a string the HTML content of a page displayed by a webEngine.
    I know this code works:
    webEngine.getPage().getHtml(webEngine.getMainFrame());
    But getPage() and getMainFrame() are not public.
    What is the "official" way to get the HTML content of a page as a string?
