Writing  A File When Exception Occurs

Hi All
Is it possible to write a file with the variable  when an exception is triggered using BPM
Regards
Jayaraman

Hi,
See this link on how to handle exceptions in BPM.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/33/4a773f12f14a18e10000000a114084/content.htm
You can use a send step and create a corresponding file CC to write a file.

Sudheer.

  • "Error writing to file" when installing Oracle9i

I am fairly new to Oracle and have not been able to install Oracle 9i on my Redhat 7.2 box. In three attempts to install I have encountered the same error at some point, usually early on 5% or 10% into the install.
    The error is:
"Error in writing to file /usr/oracle/product/9.2.0/olap/wrksht/wks.jar"
However, it has not happened on the same file each time. I have stopped the installation of that component, but it encounters the same error on other files. I have tried redownloading the oracle disks and reinstalling, but to no avail. I read on one posting that Oracle needs to have glib2.2(rather than glib1.2) installed, so I downloaded it and will be trying that later today. If anyone has encountered this error and knows how to solve it I would appreciate the help. Below I have listed my computer configuration and I have attached the portion of the install log that identifies the error that takes place.
         Thanks

    Hi,
Did you guys finally find solution to the problem?
I have been trying to install Oracle 9.2.0.1 on redhat 8.0 box, for ages now. I get the following error first during install
Error in writing to file libclntsh.so.9.0
Then it is a series of errors, similar.
In the end there is the dreaded linking error... for the ins_rdbms.mk sdo_on
    i just cant handle it.
    What the hell is wrong?
I have done everything right as far as i know... any solutions?
    cheers

  • Error writing to file when installing iTunes 10.

When I updated to iTunes 10 yesterday, it updated fine, but when I went to run it today, it had to configure. It was almost completed when I got the error "Error writing to file: C\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.Resources\ru.lproj\IPod touch License.rtf". I tried to access the file, but it says the file cannot be found.
I uninstalled iTunes, and went to re-install it, but at about the same time I get the exact same error.

  • Error writing to file when updating Itunes Windows 7

Error message: C\Program files (x86) Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\AppleMobileDeviceHelper.resources\clientdescription.plist MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ACCESS TO THAT DIRECTORY.
    HELP!!!

I don't know where to go from this point, but I threw caution to the wind and double-clicked iTunes Windows Installer Package. It went to work until I got another error message: "Error writing to file: C:\Config.Msi\1279ed.rbf.  Verify that you have access to that directory."
Are you running Kaspersky security software on that PC? I tend to identify that message with Kaspersky interfering with the install.
If there is Kaspersky on board, we should try some general-principles getting-past-security-software-interference troubleshooting.
Download and save a fresh copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (32-bit installer file) or iTunes64Setup.exe (64-bit installer file) to your Hard drive. (Don't run the install on line, and don't start the install just yet.)
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Restart the PC. After the PC restarts do not open any applications. Disconnect from your network and/or the internet. Now switch off all your security software (firewall, antivirus, antispyware).
Now start the install by doubleclicking the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) file you downloaded earlier.
Reenable all security software prior to reconnecting to your network and/or the internet.
Any better luck with the security software shut down?

  • Sourse code line  not showing when exception occurs on Oracle App server

I am working on Oracle9i As 9.03. I have deployed an ear file. When an exception comes in my API, ti does not pring the source code like. it says Unknown Source . while it prints the line no of other apis down the stack.

This is because we have reference to stub at the client end and that is created by container and moreover it is remote object. Remote object line numbers never come in stack trace. For the other object you are getting the line number, those are not Remote Objects.

  • Trapping line number/source file where exception occured

    Hi,
How can we trap the line number where an exception was thrown and then store this information in a local data object? The line number appears in the stack trace but the only methods i can find for extracting info from the stack trace seem to write onto a file and not a local object.
    Appreciate any suggestions
    -Nikhil

JDK 1.4 adds a getStackTrace() method to class Throwable. getStackTrace() returns an array of StackTraceElement objects, from which you can get file name/line number info and more.
prior to JDK 1.4, your best bet would be to do a printStackTrace() to a StringWriter, and parse the resultant string. however, i believe the stack trace format is not platform-independent, so if you're writing something that will be run on different VMs, beware.

  • Execute more 3 times where Exception occured?

    My Oc4j version is 9.0.2.1.0
When Exception occured in EJB bean(Session Bean or BMP Entity Bean),
method will be called 3 times by oc4j atuomatically.
    Why?
How can I forbid oc4j to do this?

I believe this also depends on the data source you use. If you use an "emulated" data source, I think it does not do retries. I'm relatively certain it does not do retries on "timeout", but I'm not certain it wouldn't retry with an emulated datasource on a real failure.
A "timeout" could easily occur if you were running in JDeveloper, and you were stepping through your EJB code. You could return successfully, but if you were using a non-emulated datasource with a non-zero "retries", it would call the method again, immediately after returning (that really threw us for a while).

  • Fatal Exception occurred when trying to execute a JAR file

    Hi,
I have compiled my project in a jar file with the purpose of having an 'almost' executable file that would run with a simple double click.
When running this file from the netbeans directory, it works fine, but if I move this jar file to, say, my desktop, then I get an error:
Fatal Exception occurred. Program will exit.
    Is this normal?
basically, I would like to create a stand-alon file that I can send to other people who can run it on their machines
Am I doing the right thing, or missing something?
P.S I should add that my application needs to read contente from some txt files which are stored in my PC, but that is clearly speficied in the code
    thanks

I found that if I copy the whole of the dist directory and subdirectories, it works fine. I guess that's what could not be found.
just for my learning, is that the correct solution: basically send over the whole dist+subdirectories and have the program run from there?
    thanks

  • Exception occurred while loading _WL_TIMESTAMP FILE

    Hi all,
I have an application packaged in a EAR file, but when I deploy through the Weblogic Server Administration console, i get a strange error:
    <Error> <EJB> <BEA-010003> <Exception occurred while loading WLTIMESTAMP FILE.

Searching over the Oracle/BEA documentation i found this :
BEA-010003 Error: Exception occurred while loading WLTIMESTAMP FILE.
Description Exception occurred while loading WLTIMESTAMP FILE. Forcing recompilation: ioException
Cause      The container generates WLGENERATED file, which stores the server version of the appc compiler. if the current server version is different from the version specified in WLGENERATED file, appc recompiles the beans. There was an error reading this file.
Action The container will automatically recompile the beans.
But if the container compiles the beans again, why in the deployments view, it doesn't work, and the application is never at Active state?
    Any help is appreciated!
    Thiago

Looking at your stack trace, I don't believe the issue is directly related to the WLTIMESTAMP file but rather it looks like you have hit the limit on the number of open file descriptors for your process (note that the stack trace says "Too many open files" immediately after reporting what file it failed to open). Looks like you either have an FD leak or your OS/shell limit on the number of open file descriptors allowed per process may be set too low for what you are trying to accomplish.
