Wrong date query

Hi all, a sample of my data is below
Job_date
4/7/2006 3:20:11 PM
4/7/2006 3:20:13 PM
select * from table1
where to_char(Job_date_id,'hh24') = '15' -- this query returns results
if i amend the where condition to where to_char(transaction_id,'hh24:mm') = '15:20'nothing is returned. May i know what is the problem?

  • Oralce query giving wrong data

    Hi all oracle experts :
in oracle backend ( LOV ) user is selecting 'long text' instead of 'short text' and as a result user is getting wrong data Ship_To_Adress ( column ). here what i need is :
Upon data is coming from Long_Text table - it should not bring the wrong data Ship_To address.. It should give no value on the report.
feasibility of modifying query to maintain two Scenarios - Irrespective of Long or Short text - User should not give wrong 'Ship To' address on the pick ticket.
please go through the following query and make necessary changes. thanks in advance for your precious time valuable advice

Thank you very much indeed for your reply - yes youre right. in oracle backend there are dropdown selections : 1) short text and 2) long text. as per the table user has to select short text so that he will get the correct output , but if by mistake user selects long text then the table is pulling wrong data. so here we need the query to be changed if user selects long text report shouldnt show any data..
i am not sure but as per my little knowledge in oracle i believe that the problem is lying in the folloiwng query line.. please help me out in this regard. i have a screen shots of oralce backend where user is selecting long text / short text but here theres no option of inserting the files...

  • PJC Calendar setDate Wrong date format. Date change failed?

Forms 10.1.2 using forms demos pjc code.
The calendar pjc I added to my form works except I can't initialize it with a date. If I try to initialize a date it always produces 'Wrong date format. Date change failed.' error.
In a post-query trigger, I initialize the calendar's date using:
    SET_CUSTOM_PROPERTY('PJC.CALENDAR',1,'setDate',to_char(:lead.date_received,'DD.MM.YYYY'));
In the java console, this yields:
Warning: Wrong date format. Date change failed.
Warning: Wrong date format. Date change failed.
I get the same result when using a hardcoded date like:
    SET_CUSTOM_PROPERTY('PJC.CALENDAR',1,'setDate','01.12.2006');
What is the flaw in my incantation?

    Hello,
This is the syntax used in the calendarpjc Forms demo:
call the setDate method on the calendar PJC via the PL/SQL built in
        set_custom_item_property
convert Oracle date to String recognised by Java
      procedure setDate(d in date) is
      begin
        set_custom_property(lGlobals.hCalendar,1,'setDate',to_char(d,'Mon DD, YYYY'));
      end;     Francois

  • Cache manager give me a wrong date

    This is my problem:
I move RPD file and Catalog from DEV instance to PROD instance to have same dashboard and reports in both instances, but when I access to Interactive Dashboard, and check Cache Manager in Administration Tool, it keep a wrong date, instead of give me 2010 year, it gives me 3910 year, and because of this I can not run some reports in my dashboard.
I want to notice that not only move RPD and Catalog, I also change information in NQSConfig file, like reposiroty pointing to my RPD, I also change information in instanceconfig.xml file, like CatalogPath, to pointing to the Catalog I moved.
So, if you can help me with this issue, I really appreciate it.
    Regards,
    Arnulfo

Hi Nico, thanks for your quick answer but this error is not related with the browser cause we have the following situation:
1.- First we delete all rows from the following table afiandwh.s_nq_acct that have "3910" as year date
2.-Then we run this query: select count(*) from afiandwh.s_nq_acct where to_char(start_ts,'YYYY')='3910'
And the result is 0 rows
3.-So after that we entered to OBIEE Administration tool and in the physical layer we entered to OBI Usage Tracking and then in Table
S_NQ_ACCT we made an "Update Row Count" and when it finished we run again the query of step 2 and we had 1 new registry in the
    database with "3910" date .
So BI Server is generating these wrong dates, any idea why this could be happening?

  • Access Table displays the wrong data

I have successfully used Migration Workbench to migrate my tables and data into an oracle 10g database.
I chose Modify Access Database from the MWB options in order to continue to use Access as the Frontend.
At this point the forms do not work.
What I noticed is that the oracle link tables _R have the wrong data in them when opened via Access.  But if I query the oracle db the data is correct.  I added a primary key but this did not help. Any suggestions ?
Also I had to re load the code modules that run the application they disappeared during the migration process. Is that normal?
    Thanks for your help

The table had the wrong columns and the wrong data, basically it was mapped to the wrong table.
I checked the properties from the table detail window, much more helpful than right clicking on the object and choosing properties which only show you the DSN connection. The detailed description as shown below shows the table is incorrect
    ODBC;DSN=marilyn2;DBQ=ORCL ;DBA=W;APA=T;EXC=F;FEN=T;QTO=T;FRC=10;FDL=10;LOB=T;RST=T;GDE=F;FRL=F;BAM=IfAllSuccessful;MTS=F;MDI=F;CSR=F;FWC=F;PFC=10;TLO=0;;TABLE=BODYSHOP_EXTRACT.CONTRACTS_INFORMATION_TABLE.
Can I just delete the linked table and import the correct table using Link Manager? Or do I need to use OMWB & Modify Access through the tool?
    Last question for today thanks

  • RMS wrong data returned

Most of time I am getting the right result back, but occasionally, I am getting wrong data returned from the record store.
I am storing a string of numeric characters only from a text field as bytes. It is only a maximum of 4 characters and quite often it seems to come up with 100, when that was not the value that was saved.

Just to tie this off, this behavior was observed on 10.2.0.1 on both Windows and Linux. However we've verified that it is fixed in the 10.2.0.3 Patchset (Patchset 5337014) on Windows. I was unable to find an Oracle ticket that directly corresponded to this behavior, but it appears that there were similar-ish problems with query plans created to support NLS behavior and those must have addressed some fundamental issues.
    Thanks,

  • Wrong data in Reports

    HI,
I have a characteristic( ex. ID number) in my report for which i am getting wrong data.
when i go and check in the respective info providers i can see the data properly for that characteristic. But when i run the report i m getting data as
    08/ZR923854A  (correct  - ZR923854A)
    08/YS890040D (correct - YS890040D)
    #/YY879565C   (correct - YY879565C)
I have checked in Query designer for Characterstic Values, there also the same wrong data is coming.
Please help if you have any clue for this.

    Hi,
Adding it to free cha. will not make much difference to the output. If you want ZR923854A only you have to create new infoobject which is not componded and then write routine in the transactional data flow to fetch  ID number from this compounded object.
If it is a standard infoobject I would not recommend anyone to use single infoobject as SAP has desinged many objects considering the business functionalityies. We should not change it. You can convince business same way. If you need more info on Compounding please refer below link,
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/ff/f470375fbf307ee10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm
    Hope this helps.

  • Wrong data in cube for time dependent nav attribute

    Hi Experts,
I am facing a strange problem.
One of the navigational attr used in one cube was not time dependent before.
Now we have changed it to time dependent.
But after that the cube is fetching wrong data for the nav attr.
In the Master data table (Q table) data is fine.
    Kindly suggest.
    Regards,
    Debjani

    Hi Debjani,
As Federico said, when you display the content of the cube (or when you execute a query) you enter the reference date on which the time-dependant attribute will be searched. This unique reference date will be used whatever the cube data is.
Ex :if the reference date is 2010/02/14, you will have the time-dep attribute value for 2010/02/14,for 2011 data, 2010 data or whatever.
If you want to change dynamically the reference date depending on a date on the cube, things become a lot more difficult. The only possibility I can think of is "virtual characteristics" (you will find a lot of litterature on the subject on sdn).
    Regards,
    Fred

    000000000002001032     003     2006     BAG   2
i am Unable to trace this
    any help plzzz
    Anil

    Hi,
since Quantity(units PC??) can not be in decimals,Bex will round off 1.5 to 2 in bex report.
Use NODIM function i.e. NODIM(Qty) instead of Quantity.
NODIM function is available under data functions of Formula builder.
From context menu fo KF structure>new formula>NODIM(Qty).
    or
try by setting Decimal places to  2 or 3 in KF properties in Bex Query.
    hope this helps.

If I try not including it in query, then results work fine. But by default BI server is pointing to aggregate table ( which it should ).
    So my questions are
    1) Does Aggregate tables are refreshed automatically with DAC?
    2) I know data is wrong in aggregate table. How do I verify?
    3) How to make a particular report hit regular table instead of aggregate table?
    Please let me know.
    Thanks.

Alright. So I made some progress on this issue, HOWEVER it is still not solved.
    1) Aggregated tables are refreshed daily with DAC. There is a script for that on server which is created using Aggregate Persistence wizard.
    2) ONLY one column is showing wrong data. I have verified this using Toad. However I dont know why is it showing wrong data. Theoretically it should be fine.
    3) this question is still same.
How to make a particular report hit regular table instead of aggregate table?
    Please help me out.
    Thanks.

  • Report showing wrong data

    Hi Gurus,
When we are generating report in the answers in one column it is showing wrong data from where i have to start for this issue.
    Thanks,
    Rafi

Pull that column alone, run report, compare the results with your manual query, and also compare the physical query.
if all are good then try to add other column from any other dim and then do the same as above
repeat till you know the cause.
    Pls mark if helps

  • Downloads with Safari show wrong date

Hi, this is my first post and I'm stumped.
When I download a file (i.e. PDF) via Safari on either my Imac or Macbook (4.03 and 4.02) both running Leopard 10.5.7 it shows up in my downloads folder with the wrong date: wrong year, month, and day.
When I download the same file with Firefox the download date is correct.
Does anyone have any suggestions to remedy this annoying problem? Thanks.

Ok. I just downloaded a PDF via Safari that shows the creation date as: 23/12/08 1:10 AM.
Same file downloaded via Firefox shows date correctly: today at 9:16 PM.
The date from Safari has been all over the map... 03, 07, 00 etc. all different.

  • Wrong Dates in Sent Folder

After doing a clean install of 10.5 and importing all of my mail messages from my .mac account, I noticed that many of the messages in my sent folder had the wrong date. Apparently they were marked with the date on which I first synchronized my 10.5 Mail with my .mac account. I've since tried to rebuild that folder, and when I do that, those problematic messages show up as sent "Today" at the time I rebuilt, even though many of them are nearly a year old. Any suggestions as to what might be causing this? I've read several threads regarding problems with the sent folder, but none with this specific date problem.
    Thanks.
    One more thing...
All sent message show up with the correct date when I access the sent folder online through .mac.

I tried several experiments and noticed that if you move the messages in "sent messages" with wrong dates to another folder (for example to the "inbox") then they get back to their correct date.
Apparently rebuilding mail boxes at this point doesn't fix anything, as if you move the messages into "sent messages" again then the date gets wrong again.
Funny enough, when the message is back into "sent messages" and appears there with the wrong date, if you make a text search FROM THE INBOX on all folders in the search results these messages will appear as located in "sent messages" with THE RIGHT DATE!!! Doing the same search when you are in "sent messages" will show the message with the wrong date!!!
So I am now sure there is BIG BUG in Mail about this.
So unless Apple fix this, I guess the only way is to put all the messages from your "sent messages" with wrong dates in a folder where they appear with the correct date, save or export your "sent messages" folder messages, delete entirely your "sent messages" folder, and reload all you "sent messages" again.
However I have no safe procedure for this and it won't prevent the bug to reoccur later on...

  • IPhoto imports photos with wrong dates even if the dates are fine on the camera

    Hi!
When I import photos with iPhoto, sometimes it imports them with wrong dates, even the dates are fine on the camera. It puts dates such as 2032. Does anyone know how can I fix that. As far as I know there is no way to change dates of the photos.
    Thanks!

well that is very confusing since if the date is correct on the camera it will be correct in iPhoto
    and as to
As far as I know there is no way to change dates of the photos.
Try looking through your iPhto menus - two commands - adjust time and date and batch change time and date - asjust is used to correct incorrect dates like a comera setting -   Batch change for missing dates like with scans
