Wrong DPI on iPad
Hi,
I have recently updated to AIR 4.0 from AIR 3.6, but now the DPI is wrong on iPad (3, with retina display). I have tried with and without <requestedDisplayResolution>high</requestedDisplayResolution>, but it's with the same result: all buttons, lists etc. are too small. Does anyone know of a solution?

I'm having a similar issue where an iPad Mini w/ Retina display appears to be a low res deivce:
Apache SDK 4.12
FlashBuilder 4.7
.ipa compiled on both Mac and PC
tried pointing to an iOS 5.1 SDK during compile on both Mac and PC

Is it possible your daughter abused the device? If it gets dropped, even in a damage proof case, it is a shock to the iPad. Most survive, but if it happens often, it might be a problem.
Charging often, not completely, leaving in charger while in use a lot?
Leaving the iPad in a hot car, or freezing the iPad? -
just got an Ipad and am working on setting it up. the one issue I am having with it is my screen will not rotate no matter what I do to the settings, I can't figure out if I have a setting wrong or if there really is something wrong with my Ipad. any help would be greatly appreciated.
Double click the home button (square) and all the things you did are there.keep sliding the bar that will come up on the bottom to the left till it cant go anymore there should be a icon looking like this.press that and it should work

Unread email count wrong on my IPad
The Unread email count is wrong on my IPad. I have read other threads about this issue but they all seem to point to Macs. I did just update to IOS 6 last Monday(5 days ago)
I deleted the account and reinstalled it and the count is now correct.

If your app is rendering the iPad unresponsive, I would recommend you use the troubleshooting in this article to help get that resolved, named:
iOS: An app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open
Start with these steps, but there are additional things to do if these do not resolve the issue:
Follow the steps below and test the app after each step.Restart the app
Close the app and open it again.Restart your device
Turn the device off and on.Update your device software and your apps
Update your device to the latest version of iOS.
Update your apps:
Open the App Store and tap Updates.
If updates are available, tap Update All.
If asked, enter your Apple ID password. The updates will download and install.
You might need a Wi-Fi connection to update some apps.

Settings -> General -> Safari -> AutoFill
I don't use it so I'm not sure if you can remove individual entries or if you'll have to clear them all, but it should be apparent.

My iPad 4 wifi 3G keeps charging slowly takes half a hour to get to 15% when plug into the wall with the plug and the lead what come with the iPad just wondering as I think some thing is wrong with the iPad
Using the battery level meter in this manner is comparable to using your car's fuel gauge to calculate miles per gallon. The only thing that matters is the total amount of operating time from full charge to auto-shutdown.
Use the wall-mount charger that came with the iPad and charge overnight. Do NOT use an iPod/iPhone charger. Do NOT use a computer's USB port. Then, operate it normally until auto shut-down (ignore any low level alerts that may appear). An irony is that doing that test to determine the total operating time is also the procedure necessary to calibrate the battery level meter.
I'm not claiming that you do not have a problem. I am stating, however, that we don't yet know. If the above test does, in fact, indicate a problem, read this.
Also, according to Apple:
Use Your iPad Regularly
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
Elsewhere, Apple elaborates and explains that two half-discharges (or four quarter-discharges, etc.) equals one full discharge. -
Apple wants to charge for a repair but won't tell me what's wrong with my iPad
So my iPad mini is 1 year and 5 days old, and it suddenly won't power on. Nothing, even with a different charger and cable. The Apple website said to send in for battery/power issues, so I filled in the form and gave them my credit card for a little over $100.00 and sent it to them via UPS. That was 2 days ago, now I get an email saying they need to charge me $225.95+tax and I have 48 hours to either pay it or have them send the unit back. Nothing on their repair status tells me what is wrong and why the sudden increase in price for an iPad mini repair. I can call or chat online for another $19.00, but that seems like hiway robbery to me. I mean, I already paid you $100+, can't you even tell me what you found that needs another $225?!?!? On the repair status, there is an area called views of your product with a broken image file, so I can't even see what they are referring to.
If I way the $19, will they even be able to tell me anything, or will they just read what I can see on the webpage? I'm starting to think it will be cheaper to just buy another iPad mini at this rate.
Has anyone any advice ?Well, I called Apple and talked to them last night. They were surprisingly very friendly. They emailed me a picture of the iPad with what they were concerned about. Now there is a dent in a corner, that I know wasn't there before. I take create care of the iPad and use a full bumper case. I explained to the repair tech that this dent is new and was not there when I took the iPad in for UPS. Actually, when I took the iPad to UPS, I had the unit in the original box (I'm OCD that way). The guy at UPS told me to take the iPad out of the box and then he weighed the iPad, some bubble wrap and an empty box. He then said it was good to go and I walked away with the original packaging. I honestly suspect the damage happened at UPS. Plus a small dent in a corner shouldn't affect battery, right? Anyway, after talking with a few people at repair, they noticed that their records show the iPad being 1 day out of AppleCare.
The last guy was going to just charge me for the battery replacement, which I am good with. But, guess what, Apple can't partial charge, it's either all or nothing. So, after about an hour of being on the phone, they will repair or replace the iPad at no charge to me (just this once, only).
I have to admit, that calling and talking with these guys was very helpful. Everyone was friendly and cheering. Plus I wasn't calling India (no offence to India). I am definitely going to continue purchasing Apple products if this how their support works. If only Cisco could learn to work that way... -

If you see "Could not sign in, please check your network connection and try again" when signing in to your Apple ID
To resolve this issue, follow these steps.
Update to the latest version of iOS.
Verify that you have a data connection by going to www.apple.com in Safari. You can complete Apple ID activation using Wi-Fi or a cellular data connection. If you need help connecting to Wi-Fi, follow these steps.
If you're using Wi-Fi, make sure that your local Wi-Fi network is using the recommended Wi-Fi settings.
Sign in to your account and ensure that the primary email address and alternate e-mail addresses have been verified. If verification is pending, follow the instructions in the email Apple sent to that email address to complete verification. Or remove the e-mail addresses from the account.
If your Apple ID isn't an email address, you can change it. The Apple ID that you're using to activate FaceTime or iMessage must be an email address. Find more information on how to change your Apple ID.
Tap Settings > General > Date & Time. Make sure that your iPhone is set to the correct time zone. If Set Automatically is on but the wrong time zone appears, turn Set Automatically off and choose the correct time zone, date, and time.
Enable iMessage and FaceTime while connected to a different Wi-Fi network (in a different location) if a cellular data connection is not available.

What is wrong with the ipad if i cant open new tabs in safari?
