Wsdl in proxies

Hi
wsdl is used as the bais for proxies (abap or java ) ?? where will WSDL will come into picture if we are creating proxies ??
thanks
kumar

hi
WSDL is open standarad which is base for web services. interfaces designed in XI at design time generates WSDL format interface descriptions.
During proxy generation:
wsdl elements of interface description converts into objects of respective target languages (ABAP or JAVA). while proxy generation u can select a WSDL file from  a local file, UDDI, or XI repository. wsdl contains structure of the message.

  • Null Pointer Exception thrown while activating OSB Session

    Hi all,
I have a proxy which dequeues payload from a JMS queue. I couldnt activate the session if I have dequeuing proxy. When I try to activate the session it shows
    java.lang.NullPointerException.
    Things I noticed:
Normal WSDL based proxies can be created. Only proxy which contains dequeuing mechanism was not allowed.
I have a business service which Enqueues payload into the JMS queue.
Tried creating new queues, Default queues available in WL server(SOAJMSModule), created new proxy, nothing worked.
My OSB server's version is 11.1.1.6
Admin and SOA server is 11.1.1.5
Will this difference in version play a role?
    Any thoughts appreciated.
    Thanks
    Karthick

Actually yes, difference between the versions of OSB and Weblogic "might" be the problem. OSB 11.1.1.6 should be deployed on Oracle Weblogic Server 11gR1(10.3.6) and not on 10.3.5
I dont have any list of incompatibilities available but Oracle strongly recommends using the correct version of Weblogic and OSB together.

  • Web Service Model transforms dateTime elements to java.util.Calendar

The issue is that my EJB returns a java.util.Date object, the WS that exposes this EJB states in the wsdl that it returns a dateTime element (see attachment). Web Dynpro web-service model, when given the wsdl generates proxies that receive a java.util.Calendar. Later this Calendar object can’t be bound to UI elements (e.g. tables) see error below.
Has anybody encountered this problem in the past? Do you have a solution, besides manually transferring the java.util.Calendar objects to java.util.Date object?

    Hi Valery,
I tried changing my return type in a method in the EJB from java.util.Date to java.sql.Date, the problem that I ran into is that I was not able to expose that method in the web service afterwards. This is a bit strange since java.sql.Date is suppose to be supported as a web service Endpoint. I checked this twice just to make sure.

  • Generating proxies from WSDL utility

    Hey ..
Does BEA give a utility to generate client webservice proxy classes from a WSDL
I mean ..instead of any server classes to run clientgen..I have just the WSDL

Manoj , u sure this is a valid link ...coz I cannot see a wsdl athttp://example.com/myapp/myservice.wsdl..
This should be the url to your wsdl. (the wsdl from which you want
to generate the service). You can also copy the wsdl to your local
machine and use the file url.

and is there any WLS70 dependency for me to generate these proxies ...Imean do
I need anything from WLS70 (jar files etc)for me to do this task ...?You need wls70. the clientgen ant task is provided by wls70.

BTW.. just to update u on our other issue we talked about...have a look atthe
    below trace...Thanx,Krish
    Shridhar ...
    Couple of things ...
    1) We will ask the webservice provider put the CR080927_70sp1.jar intheir classpath.
But instead of they generating the client-jar and runningVersionMaker on
this to give us the output , can we do this on ourside...
I understand that there is a way in which the client itself generatestheir
own proxies from the wsdl...In case we can do this ...isCR080927_70sp1.jar required
    on
the client side also for generating the proxies...or is it required onthe
WLS70 side only at runtime...once we generate these proxies ourselves thenfor
compiling our 6.0 client and running it , I will use the output ofversionMaker
    and wsclient70.jar.
    2) Can u possibly mail me the patched jar files which u mention below byemail...and
send me a confirmation email saying u have sent it..coz we seem to havesome firewall
issues going to an outside ftpserver....and the confirmation mail is onlyincase
u send the mail and I do not get it coz of the size etc ..

    Subject: Invoking 7.0 WS from 6.0 WS client [ Case 367229 ]
    Hello Krishnan,
Firstly, your present configuration (involving the use of a SessionBeanin 6.0sp1
as WS client calling into a WS hosted in 7.0sp1) where you are using 7.0webserviceclient.jar
alongside 6.0 weblogic.jar is not supported, nay non-viable. The result ofsuch
a configuration would lead to NoSuchMethodError exceptions which you haveseen
    at your end.
Secondly, in order to solve this we need to use portable stubs for WSclients,
a feature, that has been included in
7.0 SP02 ! We, however have made this feature available on 7.0 SP01 aswell in
    the form of a one-off patch !
And the following is a procedure for enabling this on 7.0SP01 :
    - Add the one-off patch ( CR080927_70sp1.jar ) at the beginning of theCLASSPATH
in your 7.0 server startup script. Ensure that you restart the server forthis
    to kick in.
    - Generate the client jar for the 7.0 WS
    - Run the weblogic.webservice.tools.versioning.VersionMaker utility bysupplying
the client jar to generate re-versioned classes.
    - Compile the WS client in 6.0 by supplying the re-versioned classes(generated
from VersionMaker ) and wsclient70.jar (note wsclient70.jar should workwith
    6.x versions)
    - Run the WS client in 6.0 by supplying the re-versioned classes(generated from
    VersionMaker ) and wsclient70.jar
Lastly, please find/download the following files from our FTP server(ftpsupport.beasys.com)
    at /pub/case367229
by logging in with username/password as support/pechool
( Note : this password is valid for the week of Oct 27, 2002 )
    CR080927_70sp1.jar - one-off patch for 7.0sp01
wsclient70.jar - this would be used instead ofwebserviceclient.jar by
    6.x WS client/s

  • SAP wsdls used with Axis2 to generate proxies

    Hello,
I am working on building prototype scenarios using SAP web services. I am using FU2 system.
Please let me know how SAP wsdls could be used with Axis2 to generate the proxies.
Any tutorial on the same would be helpful.
    Thanks,
    Apurv

    Hello Apurv,
I don't know Axis2 but I think by using Basic Auth to retrieve the WSDL File you should be able to create a local Proxy and call the Web Service. Also have a look at <a href="http://www.wso2.net/kb/161">How to configure Axis2 to support Basic, NTLM and Proxy authentication?</a>.

  • 1 bpel process invoking two osb proxies of same wsdl

    Hello,
    We have:
SCA composite with BPEL process (BPEL1)
1 WSDL with multiple operations (op1, op2) in OSB
OSB proxy services (PS1->based on wsdl op1, PS2 -> based on wsdl op2). Both of them are based on same WSDL.
Now I am trying to invoke PS1 and PS2 from BPEL1 by creating two partner links each referring to two different operations
(op1 and op2) of WSDL. But I am getting error when trying to invoke PS2 because even if I invoke PS2, it is calling
    operation 1(op1).
So my question is, can we invoke multiple operations of same wsdl in one BPEL process instance?

maybe the selection algorithm on the proxy service isn't the correct one, so it can't dispatch to the correct operation
can you check the value setting of Operation Selection Configuration > Selection Algorithm on you proxy service on the osb
we mostly use SOAP Body Type

  • Problem in creation of ABAP proxies

    Hi,
I am trying to create proxies of Message Interfaces that are built from External Definitions(XSDs). In the scenario, we use two XSDs, one for structure of BAPI and one as Document Envelope containing header level information of the document. Message Interface is created for Document Envelope and internally it references XSD of structure of BAPI.
For e.g. For request message of BAPI_COMPANY_GETDETAIL, we have two XSDs:
    1. BAPI_COMPANY_GETDETAIL
    2. BAPI_COMPANY_GETDETAIL_Document_Envelope
I create interface for document envelope; interface internally references XSD BAPI_COMPANY_GETDETAIL.
When I try to create proxy for such an Interface I get following error:
Cannot generate proxy (object <element name="BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST"> missing in WSDL, see long text)
    Message no. SPRX084
and diagnosis provided in long text is as follows:
    Diagnosis
In the WSDL document, the object
       "<element name="Documents"> <complex/simpleType ..."
    from the namespace
      "http://mindef.nl/schemas/DocumentEnvelope"
    links to the object
       "<element name="BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST">"
    from the namespace
       "urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions"
However, this last object does not exist in the WSDL document.
    System Response
ABAP proxy generation expects that all directly and indirectly referenced objects are in the WSDL document. Therefore, no proxy can be generated for this WSDL and the system displays an error message.
    Procedure
This situation can have different causes:
Object "<element name="BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST">" not been defined
Object "<element name="BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST">" saved in the wrong namespace
In the reference to object "<element name="BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST">", the wrong name was specified
In the reference to object "<element name="BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST">", the wrong namespace "urn:sap-com:document:sap:rfc:functions" was specified
Internal error in the service that constructs the WSDL document
Internal error in ABAP proxy generation
I have checked all the possibilities, there is no inconsistency in WSDL.
Kindly provide some suggestions to tackle this problem.
    regards,
    Bhavish Bhatia

    Hi Bhatia,
You cannot create ABAP proxies from external definitions, IDOC or BAPI, when your application system is based on 6.20.
This works only, when your application system is based on 6.40 or higher.

  • Using WSDL2java to generate proxy from wsdl

    HI,
I have a web service (implemented in .NET) which extends soap headers for doing
Authentication. WSDL is generated out of this web service. But when i use wsdl2java
(J2EE) to generate a proxy class, there is no interface generated for soap headers.
Without extending SOAP headers the web service works fine.
Basically, I'm looking for a way to generate java interfaces (ie. proxies) for
SOAP headers out of the WSDL file.
PFA the WSDL file and the proxy

    thanks manoj for your reply.
I'm using IBM WebSphere SDK for Web Services v5.1
    for generation of java client.
I'm able to generate the client but the problem is
the WSDl2Java command ignored the SOAPHeaders while
generating the proxy. Since I'm using SOAP headers for
    authentication the code fails.

    Hi ,
I am from Basis team , currently  one of our Developr(ABAP)  generating  ABAP Proxy using wsdl file (non-SAP)  within R/3 system and using it in his ABAP program to access  a Non-SAP system . In this process the only thing he is gettnig from Basis is creating Logical Port using SOAMANAGER.

    Hi ,
I am trying to create a Web Service Proxy using Jdev.I am using a WSDL file located in my local system for the same. I choose all default options but the proxy is not created due to the following error -

I found a few threads which had similar issues but the solutions didnot work for me -

  • Creation of client proxy for a WSDL with 2 port types??

    Hi,
I am trying to consume an external web service from SAP - ECC6.0. The WSDL file has 2 porttype definitions - one for i/p and one for o/p
When I proceed with SE80 to create a client proxy, it asks me to select any one port type to generate the client proxy. If I select only the input port, it generates proxy for the input port alone.
In this scenario, how do I create proxies and configure logical ports, and call it from a single program to invoke the whole web servie with both i/p and o/p?
    TIA,
    Regards
    Deepthi

    Hi,
    i.       Import your message schemas from external definitions, or RFCs or IDocs from SAP systems. These definitions already contain data types.
ii.       Create a message interface and reference the messages of the external definition, or the RFC or IDoc message.
Check this, it may help you

  • Best Practice for WSDL Generate Proxy Class for Web Service with Two Versions

    Dear All
Thank you in advance for you help.
I would like to generate proxy classes for same function but with two versions.
Old version web service (v23.2) is used for stable modules in a project which is not going to modify.
However, enhancement is added in new version web service (v24) and is going to use in any future modules.
    For example,
    wsdl.exe -o="TestProxy.cs" -l:CS -n:Test -sharetypes https://community.workday.com/custom/developer/API/Notification/v23.2/Notification.wsdl https://community.workday.com/custom/developer/API/Notification/v24.0/Notification.wsdl
It generates similar classes with an '1' added at the end of the class name.
    ublic partial class Event_TargetObjectType {
    private Event_TargetObjectIDType[] idField;
    public partial class Event_TargetObjectType1 {
    private Event_TargetObjectIDType1[] idField; ...}
Since the function inside some class is the same, is it possible for WSDL.exe to generate proxy classes automatically that if the class is the same, then generate one class only (sameFunction())  but if it detects the class is different, then add '1'
to the end of class name (differentFunction() and differentFunction1())
    i.e.
    public class sameFunction()
    public class differentFunction()
    private int a;}
    public class differentFunction1()
    { private int b;
    Best Regards
    mintssoul

    Hi  mintssoul,
As per this case, I have shared corresponding details below :
1.As far as I know, WCF doesn’t support method overloading directly
2.Because WSDL doesn’t support method overloading (not OOPs).
3.WCF generates WSDL which specifies the location of the service and the operation or methods the service exposes.
4.WCF use Document/Literal WSDL Style : Microsoft proposed this standard where the soap body element will contain the web method name.
5.By default all the WCF services conform to the document literal standard where the soap body should include the method name.
6.but you can differ the method in the same manually by using Name attribute like below
    For example:
        [OperationContract(Name="Integers")]
        int Display(int a,int b)
        [OperationContract(Name="Doubles")]
    double Display(double a,double b)
    7. Or I suggest you that can use svcutil to map multiple namespaces for generating wcf service proxies .
for more information about this, refer here :
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1103686/use-svcutil-to-map-multiple-namespaces-for-generating-wcf-service-proxies

  • How can I Route to two proxies or business services with out split join

    Hi,
    How are you?
I´m trying to use a proxy to invoke 2 other proxiers or more at the same time but when trying to build a Split Join is giving an Error about the Security that is in the WSDL which is WSSecurity, so far I think that SPlit Join can´t handle this and is a must right now so I´m trying to figure out how to Route a Message to two proxies or business services doesn´t matter if it is in a secuencial way.
Hope somebody knows what to do.
    Kind Regards,
