X series with MHDDK for RTX 32bits compile with Visual C++ 6.0

Can we compile the X series cards MHDDK for RTX 32 bits with the Visual C++ 6.0?
I try to do it, but I can't. Is possible or not?

The blue screen is triggered randomly, without defining a place in the application.
The link you provided we do not seem to correspond to our problem, we do not launch multiple threads repeatedly.
Could you specify a time for the validation of MHDDK 64 bits for X series cards because without solving this problem, we can not use these cards to our real-time module?

UnsatisfiedLinkError for JNI DLL compiled with vs2008 express

I am trying to create a JNI DLL using Visual Studio 2008 Express.
I have read several places where -MD causes JNI problems but from what I've read, I need this option to create the DLL properly.
The DLL does get built cleanly and I have created a simple C application (obviously not calling the JNI functions themselves but the other functions that are in the DLL). This application runs with no problems.
As soon as I try to use the DLL with JNI, I get an UnsatisfiedLinkError: Can't find dependent libraries.
I have used Dependency Walker on the C application I created and it finds no errors; however, if I run it on the DLL itself, it does report an error trying to find msvcr90.dll which is in the winsxs directory under c:\windows so I assume this is the problem dependency.
I am running this on the same computer that has Visual Studio 2008 Express SP1 installed. This is a Windows XP Service Pack 3 computer running JDK 1.6.0_14.

Right or wrong, I include some library files into my link statement (it's the only way I could find to clear up your question). I link in some standard window libraries as well as some of my own DLL whose functions are used by this DLL. I use a makefile to build my code.

Looking for JDK binary compiled with debug info

For some reason JTree.startEditingAtPath() is not doing what I expect, and I'd like to step through the JDK code to see what's going on. Back with Java 5 there were debug builds of the JDK that would let me do this. I've been searching, but cannot find the equivalent for Java 6. Are there still debug binaries out there I can grab (and not have to compile the JDK myself)?

JDK is open source. Just get the source and step through it in your debugger.

Is "slick" series of software for iMovie 06 compatible with leopard

I'm running Leopard 10.5.2 on a Mac Pro 1,1 but still using iLife 06. Can I use the iMovie 06 special effects software put out by Gee Three called "Slick" starter kit, filmmaker kit, and transition kit (three dvd's) with Leopard? I just resolved several hard drive and Leopard issues and don't want to install a potential troublemaker.

I have been using extensions with V8 for several weeks and with last Firefox update this morning all are gone and I can't get them going again!

I installed V8.0.1 several weeks ago (or what I thought was V8.0.1) and got Awesome Screenshot (A.S.). Although it was stated that AS was not compatible with V8.0.1 I installed it any way and it worked. I have been using it every day until this morning. Another Firefox update came down this morning. Although I clicked the “Update Later” box, it updated at that time anyway. (This has happened every time I received an update in the past and clicked “Update Later” box, but that another problem; not the issue today.) After today’s update completed and I restarted Firefox. I check the version and it still was V8.0.1. All of my extensions were gone. I followed the instruction for re-enabling. All of the extensions were marked “disabled”. Only two of them had “enable” buttons (Garmin Communicator and InvisibleHand), both of which I didn’t load nor use. All extensions had “Remove” buttons. Is there any way for me to get A.S. working, I use it often. If not, how about “Screengrab”. That’s better than nothing.
I am using Windows XP Professional SP3.

There is a known issue where multiple instances of plugin container open if history or cookies are cleared. Are you, or some utility clearing firefox cookies or history, that could be the reason. This problem continues even if plugins are disabled in Firefox.
*Are you opening multiple instances of Flash Player ?
* Is the problem reproducible ? <br/> for instance does it always crash the plugin or cause it to hang if you use a particular site ?
If you get the FlashPlayer plugin crashing use the option to submit the crash reports, it is then possible to follow them up. It is possible to stop the plugincontainer opening, but that could result in a firefox crash. Of course the firefox crash can also send crash reports out, and that could be useful.

There are some problems with FlashPlayer currently under investigation, and there may be other threads in the forum about problems. (e.g. Bug 561019 - Plugin waveOutOpen hangs )
Sometimes using Firefox 3.6 is a workaround that helps with FlashPlayer problems, if you wish to experiment with that consider installing firefox Portable and using Firefox 3.6.23 (or soon 3.6.24) for tests with flash player, whilst keeping firefox 7 for day to day browsing.

Mac OSX: Shortcuts with Alt for menu activation conflicts with spec. chars

Hi!
How can I use the Alt+N for writing "}" in my Hungarian keyboard instead of activating the Menu?
This is very annoying since I have searched in the Accelerators, and there are no entry like "AltN".
It is in JDeveloper 10.1.3.2.
In OSX it is not usual that Alt activates the menu. Can I switch this function off completely somehow?

PCI 6025e initialisation with MHDDK & INtime

i successfully used my NI E series PCI card with MHDDK and RTX (using OSIbus implementations for RTX and E series MHDDK examples). Now i try to
use it with the INtime samples provided on NI website. I'm sure that my NI card ID
string is "PXI5::9::INSTR" (works well with RTX), the lsdaq sample (which scans for PCI hardware with NI Vendor) returns me
"PXI5::0::INSTR" but both values failed to init the card using
example.sln (AcquireBoard) : device is not found (PciFindDevice fails).
Do you have any clues where the problem comes from ?

The problem is solved and came from pciDev.wDeviceId. It was set to #define NI_ESERIES_DAQ 0x11C0, eventually i had to use 0x2A80 for my card (found in nimhddk_rtx.inf, MHDDK RTX package). The card ID string returns by lsdaq was correct : "PXI5::0::INSTR" and misleaded me during multiple tests.

Is there a way to publish a high-res .ipa from Flash CS5.5 with AIR for iOS?

I've developed an app for iOS in Flash specifically for iPad 3's. My client uses SOTI MobiControl as it's mobile device management solution. If I publish out of Flash using AIR SDK 3.1 or newer the app is created and looks high-res on the iPad3. When they try to add the app to SOTI for in-house distribution it errors with the error claiming that "CFBundleDisplayName" has been left blank.
After having looked into it I've been able to find out that when publishing with versions of the AIR SDK older than 3.0, the info.plist file within the app package includes a CFBundleDisplayName. In versions newer than 3.0 there is no CFBundleDisplayName in the info.plist.
Is there a way to publish for iOS from Flash utilizing an older version of the AIR SDK and having true high-res graphics that will look proper on an iPad3?

It's not AIR that's lacking the key in the plist, it must be Flash Pro, although it's just running adt itself. I use AIR 3.4 and I compile via adt command line (because Flash Builder 4.6 still has not been updated to handle warnings from ANEs during compile, grr). I have CFBundleDisplayName in my plist file. Have you tried compiling on the command line?

Being unaware of what in-house distribution system that actually is, I have noted that some people had previous issues submitting apps Flash compiles. Their solution was to rename the AppName.ipa to AppName.zip, extract the Payload folder, copy the AppName.app inside there out, then rename that AppName.app to AppName.ipa. Then it was accepted. Not sure if that old issue still exists.

Java 6u24 won't launch signed JNLP app with classes compiled with JDK 1.4.2

Anyone else having a problem launching a JNLP app compiled with Java 1.4 using Java 6u24 on the client? Anyone have a Java 1.4-compiled app that does launch with Java 6u24?
I am, and I have isolated the problem to some change in 6u24's java web start launching logic. The splash screen appears and then javaws just quits with no error. Trace shows it is not getting past checking of the first .jar. My JNLP app, fully signed with CA-issued certificate, when compiled with Java 1.4.2 will not launch on JRE 6u24 (or 6u25-b03). The same exact app launches perfectly fine when it is compiled with JDK 1.5 or 1.6. It is not a signing problem, though it is related to certificate checking logic or a concurrency flaw in javaws' AppPolicy and TrustDecider classes. It is not a host server or network problem as those have been varied with same results. It is not a specific .jar problem as I have varied what is the first .jar with same results. I have eliminated all other variables to find the only difference is what Java version the app is compiled with. Well, all but one other variable - I have not tried with apps other than mine.
My app is compiled with JDK 1.4.2 so I can still support older platforms. That requirement is going away soon but this is still a regression from 6u23 that is causing a big problem for at least this developer.

You can try to use the version of the jarsigner JDK 1.5 or later.
Has changed the management of files in META-INF.
So compile with 1.4 but sign with 1.5 or later

Oracle RAC + Clusterware and another Cluster with Clusterware for SAP

Hi,
I have some questions about implementation of Oracle RAC and Clusterware with SAP
For exemple, an architecture with 4 servers ( 2 real and 2 vritual ).
I would like to know if i can do this
2 servers for the first cluster.
First cluster is with Clusterware and Oracle RAC
This is for all the SAP Oracle databases environment
I think there is no problem here.
Now, with 2 others servers il would like to make another cluster (with also clusterware ) for SAP Central services (SCS) and enque replication server (ERS)
Because all architecture is for only one SAP environment with separate services.
1 for Database (cluster 1)
1 for Central services ( cluster 2, virtual machine )
1 for Dialogue Instance (no cluster)
To be clear, the second cluster is to make HA of central services SAP (SCS and ERS )
My question 2 are :
Is it a good job to do this ? or there is anything wrong ?
Do i have to install antoher clusterware for this 2 servers or i have to make anything with the existing clusterware + oracle RAC ??

have you checked: Providing High Availability for SAP Resources (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/clusterware/pdf/sap-availability-on-rac-twp.pdf) available on otn.oracle.com/clusterware? Not being an SAP expert myself, I still think, this paper describes the configuration - at least partially - that you are trying to set up.

How to sync iPhone with iTunes for first time without setting up as a new iPhone

I have an iPhone 5 that I have never sync:ed with iTunes on my Mac, I have just set it up and purchased apps etc from the iPhone itself.
Now I would like to sync with iTunes for the first time with the iPhone but when I connect it, iTunes asks me if I want to setup the iPhone as a new iPhone (I assume form scratch) or from a backup from other iPhones that have been sync:ed with my Mac.
Now I dont want to setup this iPhone from scratch and erase everything thats on it, I just want to sync with my Mac, download apps, music etc. How do I do that and get beyoind the first screen that asks about setting up as a new iPhone ?

Hi I think I've found a workarround. I'm currently copying all files on my iPhone to the new PC using this program: http://www.getsharepod.com/download/
After all files are copied I think I can enable sync in the new iTunes and delete the iPhone, then add the copied files in new playlists.
I'll let you know.

Photoshop CC 32Bit Script with Dialogs.

Turned out to be a Preference file MachinePrefs.psp which worked in Photoshop CC 64bit cause CC32bit scripts dialogs not to work go figure. It may have to do with OpenCL support. In CC64bit I used Advance GPU setting and checked it. 32Bit CC I can not check it with mt setup nvidia quadro 4000.

Apple Keyboard with number pad doesn't work with Mac Pro?

I have a Mac Pro, and have used an Apple Keyboard with a number pad (not bluetooth) with it for quite a while, with no problems. But then my keyboard broke and I ordered a replacement Apple Keyboard with a number pad (not bluetooth). This keyboard doesn't work with my Mac Pro. I have it plugged in, but I can't get the Mac Pro to consistently recognize that there is a USB keyboard connected to it. What magical stuff do I have to do to get the keyboard to be fit for purpose?

It would not hurt to try an SMC Reset. (But if it does not help, it adds credence to lllaass assertion that the keyboard is not working.)
