X1 Alert on tv of program marked - a reminder

Prior to X1 there was an option to mark a program so you would be given a 1 to 5 minute warning before it starts. This is helpful when you are watching some other programs but want to switch to the program you marked. Many times I will watch some half hour reruns but want to change to the program I marked. Apparently X1 has dropped this option and is one they should add back. This problem is not solved, as the complaint still exists. It is solved when Comcast puts the reminder back. (1/4/2015)

The reason you aren't having any problems is because you are connecting your X1 boxes using HDMI to AV receivers then HDMI out to your TVs. If your were connecting your X1 boxes using HDMI directly to your TVs you probably would be experiencing problems. pmeadis,I am glad you aren't having any problems but you could have read up on these issues a bit more. The problems lies when people connect HDMI from the X1 box directly to a TV that can only pass stereo. It is a bigger problem with the Companion boxes. I am convinced the X1 boxes are auto detecting the audio capabililities of the next HDMI device in line. Since most of today's TVs do not pass 5.1 Dolby Digital from the HDMI input to the digital audio output and they strip the signal down to stereo, the X1 boxes try to default to stereo. Does this make sense? I am not sure but I am guessing what Comcast is doing is a violation of HDMI specs and could explain why HDMI wireless transmitters aren't working with X1... pmeadis wrote:

I work at the Univ of Utah. We have a program that times out after 40 mins. I've been told by the campus IT folks that Firefox does not supply an alert sound option for this type of situation. Is this information correct? If not, where do I find the option to have an alert sound?

You can create SQLPlus concurrent request where you can call the request for ALECDC

Programming Marker Color in XY Graph

Hello Everyone,
In Igor by Wavemetrics, I can plot XY graph with marker only, the marker color can be tied to the corresponding value in a third data column. In some sense, this is similar to but not quite like an intensity graph. Is it possible to do this in Labview?
I will move my X-Y stages to search for a laser beam in large steps and nail its maximum in finer steps. I would like to plot the trails of my search. I would appreciate if someone already has this kind of search vi.

Fang,
It is possible to change plot point colors of an XY graph by using a property node run through a case structure. If the results found entering the case structure set it to either true or false, the points can be set to be a certain color. The property you are looking for is Plot.Fill/Point Color. However, this is definitely not the most robust method for doing this, as it involves breaking down your x and y data into individual numbers using a for loop. Also, because the way the XY graph pulls in data, it is essentially impossible to change the color of just one point. In order to do this, you would need to set up a multiplot and have one plot using one color and the other plot using the default color. The plot that utilized your signal color would only plot if certain conditions were met.
So, I would say that using the 3-D graph functions would be a much simpler method, as was suggested by the previous user.

Programs marked to open at login are not opening

I have opted for a few programs to open at login, such as Firefox, Safari, etc. Even tho they are checked in the options window to open at login, they are not listed in the systems preference folder to open, and there doesn't seem to be any way to enter them there. What should I do?

So what are you trying to get to open on login?
You are pressing the + symbol & going to your Applications folder to select your app?
And when you login there's no light under your app?

Why isn't the program marked as already viewed?

I watch a program on my AppleTV2 (firmware updated), but after watching the program, the little blue ball is not removed from the side of the program. What can I do to remedy this?

I didnt restore to the wrong back up. when I plugged my iphone into my Mac. I could see my phone. I clicked on my phone and requested restore. I checked the phone and saw the problem. I tried to restore from the icloud and that didn't work probably because the notes updated the cloud and all was lost. I have some of the notes on my outlook but only the new ones, not the ones that I had updated or had the same name as my husbands.
I was told that the reason it backed up to my husbands Id and not my phone that I clicked on was because the notes default to whom ever is signed on to the computer. Nothing else was lost. Only notes. I thought this was odd since my husband and I only have one itunes account and it uses my user id and password.
There is something more to this in the way of defaults for notes. They do not work like the other applications. Unlike contacts you can not see them on your mac. They are different and behave differently.
Working with Geniuses I have lost Notes twice at least. they were always flumoxed but it was to late for me and my data.

Firefox 4 I have programs that are marked enable butalso marked disabled, why

On my Extensions page, I have 5 programs and they are all marked enable on the right side of the page. In the body of the page where the name of the program is, as soon as I enabled 4 of the programs the word disabled appeared in brackets. The 5th program has not been marked disabled because it was a program recommended by Firefox.
On my plugins page I have 12 programs marked enable and every one is also marked disabled in brackets.
I do not understand why this has happened. Must I use only programs that are recommended by Firefox?
To the best of my knowledge I did not have this problem prior to Firefox 4.

Your disabling of Roboform has already caused me more problems and inconvenience than any "improvement" should. I do most of my business on line across many sites using complicated and individual passwords.
Your insistence that it's solely the vendors' problem is quite disingenuous. are you getting as arrogant as Microsoft and Apple? You seem more concerned with your problems than any you caused your supporters. I'm sure your programmers understood what they were doing when these improvements were installed.

Recommendation for a new feature - alert when an important email arrives

Why can't I set my iPhone to give me an alert when an important email arrives? This new feature would alert me when I get an email from a predetermined sender or subject line. AOL offers this feature. Why can't my iPhone do it too? The phone would need to read the sender address and subject line of each email, and then bounce it against a list of pre-configured alerts that the user programs.
This would also cut down on data consumption, since users would not have to check and recheck their mail when waiting for somethign important. With an alert, you just set it and forget it.

iOS 6, coming this fall, will include a new feature that allows you to designate a VIP list for just this purpose. This feature will be supported on the iPhone 4. See "Mail" here: http://www.apple.com/ios/ios6/.

Hello,
Freeze alerts are used to Put alerts on hold with the freeze/unfreeze tool. After a refresh, new alerts are marked with a + and alerts that have disappeared are marked with a -, as compared to the last frozen alert situation.
This is used to Simulate the alerts for creation and view the impact of the alerts created and then can mak the decision to save or to unfreeze the alerts.

OEM12c - Added tablespace to database and the Available Space Used (%) Alerts is not checked

Hello - I'm new to OEM 12c and I'm still getting my head around the monitoring aspects of it. I just added two temporary tablespaces to a database. When I look at the tablespaces via OEM12c, I notice that the Avaliable Space Used (%) Alerts column has a check mark for all the tablespaces except the two I just created. The original TEMP tablespace does have check in the column. Will these two new tablespaces be monitored for used space?

I'm assuming you're on DB 11.2 or higher... Temp and Undo are typically excluded from monitoring due to their cyclical nature. Thresholds must explicitly be set from 11.2 and higher. Please see this note for more details. Another explanation might be timing... if you just added them, and the tablespace collection hasn't run, you won't see that check because the metric hasn't validated them yet. If you go back after the collection runs, you should see (if they were a normal tablespace and the temp/undo monitoring wasn't in play)...

Mail marking read copy of email in other account

Mail program on Mountain Lion Imac is marking read copies of email in another account which the email was both sent to. Main account is AOL for me and assistant uses gmail account which we both look at. If we are both sent an email and it is read in the AOL account on the Mountain Lion Imac the program marks the email read in the gmail account and the assistant doesn't think it is new. Marking it Unread works as long as the mail isn't read in the other account. This doesn't happen with IOS 6 phone or older operating systems. Can't see any preferences for this.

Are you using the same computer and the same user account? If so, try setting up a new user to separate the Mail accounts. You can then set up fast user switching.

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

I only configured the alert. I am trying to find the issue which would have caused this alert in the server.
Check
ERRORLOG and see if you have any severity 20 error logged at the same time when you received alert.

How can I increase the volume of my text alerts without increasing call volume??

The alerts that are pre-programed on my phone for text alerts are very quiet. When I turn the volume up so that I can hear them then my call volume is embarrassingly loud. I have tried to get new tones in the store but they all seem to download to my ringtone - not text tones. I have even purchased (from the Verizon store) tones that are for texts, but again, they download into my call ringtones. Any suggestions would be great since I am a big texter and am getting very frustrated because of missing so many.

I know how you feel! Text messaging is my main means of communication so I use it all the time. I definitely don't want you missing any important text messages because you can't hear the alert.
Keep in mind that the volume level will increase or decrease the same for both calls and text alerts. You may notice that the ring tones options for the text messages are not as loud as the ones for calls. Unfortunately, there is no way to increase the volume for the text alerts without increasing the volume for the call alerts as well.
One thing you can try is turning in the Vibrate mode so the phone vibrates also when you receive a text messages. Visit http://vz.to/1aflRJ0 for steps.

Unable to display opportunity linked to an alert

When I try to click on the Subsequent Actions - opportunity no then system generates the following short dump.

What happened?
Calling the BSP page was terminated due to an error.
This link is in Alert section. When I click one alerts...then in sub. action click on the opportunity no. then i get this dump.
