    Hello Kiira Doon,
The troubleshooting steps detailed below may help get your iPhone's display to function.
Toggle the ringer switch to see if the unit vibrates. If it does, it could be that iPhone is getting power, but is not displaying any image.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone.
If the low-battery screen appears, charge the iPhone.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?Contact Apple Support.

  • Skype WiFi for Windows Phone

How do I download Skype WiFi on my Windows phone, when I tap download Skype Wifi from my Windows phone it goes to https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/skype-wifi/id444529922?mt=8

2014-08-04. Yesterday i was in great need of Skype WIFI on Heathrow. But no! Microsoft/Skype still don't have Skype wifi for Windows Phone but has it for all competing mobile platforms! How does that make sense? If MS won't support Windows Phone, who will??
Maybe it is as it should be? I had this discussion with a gentleman that was sincerely convinced, there has been a major policy change at Microsoft HQ regarding Skype. He belived the buy of Skype insyead really was a kind of a hostile buy, in order to close Skype as it it is shaped today, instead in a future introduce a new type of coomunication programme similar to Skype, but totally different and more profitable and when launched a closure/abandoment of Skype will be done.
I don't know, but it was a really well suited gentleman...

  • Wifi Login window isn't popping up anymore after update to 10.9 Mavericks?

I recently updated my Macbook Pro Retina 15" to 10.9 Mavericks, and since the update, the wifi login window no longer pops up as it did before. I live on a campus residence property with wifi that I have to login with my student ID and password. Before, when I opened my macbook and logged in, the wifi login window would immediately pop up, but now it doesn't pop up at all, and instead I have to manually open Safari and try to access a webpage for it to work. What gives? It's a minor inconvenience I know, but I find it annoying now that even if I only want to use an app like Calendar or iTunes, I have to open safari and click on a link in order to login instead of the window popping up automatically like it did before.
Was this removed from 10.9 altogether or was there some sort of glitch in the upgrade process?

I realize now that the app I'm talking about it the Captive Network Assistant. Something has gone wrong with its detection, as it's not popping up at all anymore. From what I've read, I'm not the only one with the issue either, it seems that after every major OS X update since the feature was introduced, it breaks for some users. I just haven't found any solutions. Anyone, please, any ideas at all?

  • Under FF 5, my wife's Windows 7 laptop will run Yahoo toolbar, but my Vista won't...WHY??

Just downloaded FF 5 on both my wife's Windows 7 and my Vista machines. FF 5 allows Yahoo toolbar to run under 7, but not under Vista. Any particular reason? or fix??

You don't have to wipe anything, but when you get a chance make sure you backed up to icloud.
What that means is your contacts inside of the phone either physically or liquid damaged. To check
which, you can look inside and if you see a little pink, that would give you a water damage. If you don't
see pink it means that you to many times plugged in that charger the other way or tried to. May be
used some other things to plug in. If you flash the light in you may be able to see those contacts.
If I were you, i would not believe me, good luck!

  • How to connect a printer to Airport in WIFI with Windows

    Hi,
I just would like to know how to connect my printer (Samsung) to my Airport network through WIFI (My computer is working with Windows).
    Thanks

Well the easiest would be to plug your printer directly into your extreme using either the USB or Ethernet connection.
Make sure you then install bonjour and use the printer wizard to convert your printer...

  • Prioritize LAN over Wifi in Windows 7

Is there a similiar setting in Windows 7 that tells the PC to always use the LAN connection over WiFi when detected? Also, is there a away to push this setting out via Registry or GPO?
Minimize the number of simultaneous connections to the Internet or a Windows Domain
This policy restricts simultaneous connections to the Internet or Domain network. If there
is at least one active connection to the Internet, a new connection (automatic) to the Internet will not be made. This is the same for Domain network. Manual connection will not affected by this policy. If there are multiple simultaneous connections to the
Internet or Domain (i.e., plug-in Ethernet while already connected to WiFi), the less preferred connection (i.e., WiFi) will be disconnected after the OS detects that it is no longer actively being used (i.e., network traffic over the less preferred connection
    drops below a certain threshold).

    Hi,
I haven't found this similiar policy in Windows 7, but we can change the order in this way
Open the Network and Sharing Center.
    Click Change adapter settings.
Press <kbd>alt</kbd> to make the menus visible, select Advanced Settings... from the
    Advanced menu.
Reorder the items in Connections so that you Local Area Connection is on top.
Or you can manually configure the Metric on each adapter, please refer to this link:
An explanation of the Automatic Metric feature for Internet Protocol routes
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299540/en-us
If you want to change the order in all PCs in a domain, I suggest you write a logon script, then push it to all client via GPO, you can refer to this link

  • Wifi under windows 7 boot camp keeps dying

I have been running windows 7 64 bit under Boot Camp for just under a week, and last night have started to have some pretty serious issues with the built in wifi.
Periodically, without any consistent cause, when I am booted into Windows 7, my internet connection begins to degrade.  Not disconnect or anything, just taking on like 60% packet loss or more, pings to both my default gateway (the wifi router) as well as to anything further out on the internet.  My ipad, iphone, macbook pro are all fine and able to use the internet at the same time without issue, its only the imac booted into Windows 7.  I can reboot with no change, still completely unusable (unable to load even a single web page) for Windows 7.  reboot to OSX, no issues.  Its not the router, or the ISP, its JUST when I'm in win7 using wifi. I've changed IPs, used a static DNS, measured wifi, etc.  I was using this setup for almost a week before the issues started, and I'm assuming its something wrong with Windows7.  Fully patched and up to date, both OSX and Win7.
I finally figured out that I can temporarily fix the problem by resetting the driver for the wifi interface under the Network Adaptor troubleshoot wizard in Windows, this buys me between 5 minutes to half an hour before the issue starts up again.  Nothing else I've found will fix the issue even temporarily.
I finally ran a 50 ft ethernet cable from the imac to the router and this has for now solved the intermittent issue, but its not sustainable this way as I cannot leave the cords like this.  But clearly there seems to be an issue with the wifi driver in windows that boot camp is using.
Can anyone provide some suggestions of what to look for within windows or a way to debug this more directly?  I used the BootCamp assistant to burn a DVD of drivers at install time and I believe they were the most recent versions, but not sure how to check further.  Device manager reports I am using the Atheros AR938x Wireless adaptor, and this is a mid-2011 27" iMac running Lion.

I'm having the same problem. Wifi loses connection after 5-ish minutes.
Wondering if it's an issue with the 802.11n drivers...? Seems a little more stable on the "g" networks.
This has been happening since the latest OS X update. I have a mid-2010 Macbook Pro 15".

  • HP Envy h8.1534 drops wifi after Windows 8.1 upgrade

After upgrading my HP Envy h8-1534 from Windows 8.0 to Windows 8.1, now my computer drops out of my wifi network after about 10 minutes or so abruptly stopping work.  I cannot pick up the Wifi again as it will not find the system - I have to reboot my entire computer, whereupon it will pick up the network.  Other devices on the network - Toshiba laptop, iPhone, Kindle Fire -(not always on at the same time the network drops on the desktop) don't seem to be affected, and still connect.  This is a HUGE problem.   All indications appear that it's a driver issue but HP assistant tells me that all my drivers are up to date.  My security has not changed since I had Windows 8.0 and it worked fine then.  The computer did not drop off the network like this before I updated to Windows 8.1.   Please help!

    Hi:
What model wireless network card does your model have?

  • Using wifi on windows 8.1 pro

I recently installed windows 8.1 pro on my macbook air 11" mid 2013 but the problem is i can't seem to use the built-in wifi of my mac when i switch to using windows 8.1 pro?what should i do?thanks

Have you installed the Boot Camp drivers? You need to install them in Windows in order to make Windows work properly.
To download them, start up in OS X, open Boot Camp Assistant and follow the steps to download the Windows support software onto a USB drive. Finally, start up in Windows and install the drivers.

  • Unreliable Wifi in Windows 8.1 on new MacBookPro Retina Late 2013

I received a new MacBook Pro with Mavericks this week.
I installed Windows 8.1 via bootcamp.
The install went perfectly and everything is working except every few minutes its looses its wifi connection.
Turning wifi off and on temporarily fixes the problem.
Wifi in Mavericks is perfectly stable.
The problem occurs on different wifi networks.
Device manager reports that it is using Broadcom 802.11ac Network Adapter Driver version 6.30.223.170
This matches the driver version supplied by Mavericks bootcamp assistant.
Is there a more up to date driver?
I've tried a few simple things such as preventing windows putting the card to sleep to save power but it had no affect.
At the moment I'm getting by with an old belkin usb ethernet adapter.

I have the same problem with my brand new MacPro (6-Core, D700, 1tb SSD)
I have called Apple support to report this issue, in the mean time I've done the following tests:
    Windows 7/8 tests NO Joy...
I have also tried tricking the windows 8 installer by doing the following.
1)Boot of Windows 8 installation (USB)
2)At the setup screen it will ask you to format your boot camp created drive to NTFS so that windows can be installed.
After the formatting is done and windows is ready to install i swap the Windows 8 USB stick for a Windows 7 USB stick then I click on next.
3)Windows starts copying the files just like it did on the Windows 8 installation and I get the same error.
    "Can't update boot configuration"
I guess it has nothing to do with the Windows USB Stick since I've tried installing Win 7/8 and 8.1 with the exact same error.
I have not received any news from Apple support on this issue.
Any other ideas or suggestions ?
    Thanks!

  • WiFi through Windows server on Mac not working

    Hello,
My mom's school had recently gotten a new server, a Windows 2008R2, to help make their internet connection better. The only problem is, now our macbooks can't connect to the internet in the building, with an ethernet cable or through the wifi. It worked fine before the server was set up.
The mac can connect to the wireless, but there is no internet connection. Same with an ethernet cable- even using a cable that works with one of the windows computers at the school it can't connect.
My question is, do you have an idea what the problem could be? My guess is the server doesn't allow macs, so how can I fix this? We use our macbooks for doing office work, specifically a macbook air.
The parent who set up the server doesn't know what is wrong, and doesn't know macs, so that's why I am turning to the internet.
    Any help will be appreciated.

There is no Boot Camp DVD. Boot Camp Assistant is located in your Lion utilities folder. Run Boot Camp Assistant and follow the instructions. Read the Boot Camp Installation Guide for Lion http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/boot_camp_install-setup_10.7.pdf.
Also, if you have additional Boot Camp related questions you should post them in the Boot Camp forum https://discussions.apple.com/community/windows_software/boot_camp.

  • DL2100 Accessing files over wifi on Windows 8.1

How's it going folks, just got my small company a DL2100 for all our file sharing needs as well for accessing our stuff over the net and the my cloud features are working fine as advertised~  We have a couple of computers running and accessing the DL2100 over our network, most are fine, but we've found that our Windows 8.1 systems are having issues in both reading/writing into the drives over our wifi network. This is using the admin account to access. Reading folders and files take a long time to load, and moving files will result in an intermittent freeze(Not Responding) and subsequent failure in the task =(  Strangely, the Macbooks accessing the drives over wifi, and both Windows 7 and 8.1 machines accessing through ethernet cables have no problems at all!  Any ideas?

I do not believe that a soulution is to set a static IP, hack the registry or any other extraodinary procedures.  As I mentioned above, my Win7 and Win8 laptops work great with my DL2100.  They are both wired into the network, so today I disconnected the ethernet and connected the Win8 using the wireless at both the 2.4G and the 5G bands and both work perfectly with the network and the DL2100.  I was able to stream/play videos from it to the Win8. I have no static IPs set for anything, I have Norton Security so no firewall issue, and I have never hacked the registry.  I just have a carefully configured Home network with around 30 or so devices connected to it (both wired and wireless) and I have no network issues.  In the past I had some issues, and what cleared them up was making sure I had a properly functioning Windows Master Browser and the solution was to have set up a permanent Master Browser from a device that was ALWAYS on.  A new router had that capability, and so my router is the MB and has been for a few years..  The DL 2100 can also be designated to be the Master Browser via its Dashboard.  I do not have mine as MB because only one Master Browser is needed and mutiple ones can and do cause problems. First step is to know what a Master Browser is, and that can be found easily.  The second thing is to find out what device is currently acting as the Master Browser.  You can easily find this out with a handy little free program called LANSCAN found here:  http://scottiestech.info/2009/02/14/how-to-determine-the-master-browser-in-a-windows-workgroup/ Install it on your Win PCs and notice that the MB can change if a PC is turned off or on.  If a PC is acting as the MB, that is likely the problem, so if you have no other way to set a permanent MB, then do so in the NAS.  Using the LANSCAN program, determine that your NAS is acting as the MB before proceeding to check things out. Rebooting of PCs and NAS will be necessary. Even if setting up the MB does not solve this problem, it is still a good thing to have a permanent MB in a network. Good luck.
