X2go breaks with libssh 0.7.0 (authentication problem)

I'm making this thread just in case anyone else has this problem and hasn't figured it out yet.
If you're using x2go-client, and it has suddenly stopped working recently, it's probably because of a (known) upstream bug in libssh 0.7.0.  Downgrading to 0.6.5 will solve the issue for you.

All of these libraries are in "Compile-time
Libraries" option in Project Properties. Should I add
they to "Run-time Libraries" option?Yes

  • Windows 7 Wireless Logon - Problems with 802.1X Machine & User Authentication

    Hello All,
We’ve had difficulty with our Windows 7 clients authenticating to our wireless network. I’m hoping someone out there has experienced the same thing and can offer some help.
    Some info about our environment:
Single Windows 2008 R2 domain with 6 DCs
    MS Radius server
    Aruba wireless controllers
    The Problem:
    The client computer boots,
    Auths as machine (802.1X successful)
    User enters creds
    User auth (802.1X successful)
To this point, everything is working normally. Next is where it gets weird.
During the logon process, there is another machine auth
2-5 minutes later another User auth
OS is up and usable (connected to wireless network); however, no homefolder is mapped and GPP didn’t apply properly.
From what I understand, after the user has logged in, Windows never attempts another machine authentication. When the user logs out, Windows can attempt it.
Can anyone offer some insight to what is causing this? I have logs available if anyone is interested.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
    Brett
    -- Brett

I did a network trace to gain more insight. I don’t understand why after 802.1X auth is successful on port 1, it then initiates 802.1X auth on port 2.
    Can you offer any insight?

  • Replace Mac line breaks with Windows linebreaks?

Is there a simple AppleScript that could process a plain text file created on a Mac and replace the line breaks with Windows-compatible \r\n line breaks?
I thought this would be a very simple task but have been searching for quite a while and can't find anything.
    Thanks.
    Paul

There are several approaches to this. Here's one of them:
    set theFile to (choose file)
set MacText to paragraphs of (read theFile)
    set {oldDelims, my text item delimiters} to {my text item delimiters, (return & linefeed)}
set WindowsText to MacText as text
set my text item delimiters to oldDelims
set outputFile to (open for access theFile with write permission)
    set eof outputFile to 0
    write WindowsText to outputFile
    close access outputFile
To explain, the first line asks you to choose the file in question - you could use any technique to identify the file, including hard-coding the path or using a drag-and-drop handler.
The second line gets the current paragraphs and calls them 'MacText'
The third line saves the current text item delimiters in oldDelims and sets the new text item delimiters to the CR+LF combination.
The fourth line performs the magic of transforming the file. It does this by coercing the list of paragraphs (obtained in line 2) into a single text block, and it inserts the current text item delimiters between each text item, miraculously giving you CRLF-terminated paragraphs.
The fifth line restores the text item delimiters to whatever they were before (you don't know what they were, but don't need to know what they were, as long as you restore the previous setting - it's unlikely you want CRLF moving forwards).
The rest of the script (lines 6 through 9) reopen the file you originally selected, sets the EOF to 0 (effectively wiping the file contents), then writes the CRLF-terminated text to the file and finally closes the file.
Note that some people might suggest using text item delimiters to break up the original text file on CRs but that would be wrong IMHO. The reason is that 'paragraphs of' can detect and handle both CR and CRLF-terminated paragraphs, leaving you with clean paragraphs into which you insert CRLFs.
This means that if the file originally had CRLF-terminated paragraphs you'd end up with the same data, but at least there was no harm done.
In contrast, if you simply searched for CRs and replaced them with CRLFs you could have the situation where you selected a CRLF-terminated file (maybe you didn't realize it was already in the Windows format) and your script would blindly replace each CR with CRLF, meaning you'd end up with CRLFLF combinations, which is very wrong.

  • Allow page breaks with content is Disabled for Subform

    Hi,

Allow page breaks with content is grayed out!!
Plus If i want to add a footer in TABLE option this is also grayed out!! Can't we create a footer from the dragged table?
FYI.. I went to hierarchy view created subform right click page and then dragged table in to this subform.
    Am i doing it right?

    Resolved myself.
I was creating subforms in page1 instead of the TOP context node.
So What I did is created a subform from top node and then i got pagebreak options and then dragged table.. so much fun! with forms.

  • Search and Replace "Column Break" with "Page Break"?

    Hi,
I have been using the "column break" where I really should have been using the "page break". The page break just makes more sense in my layout.
Is there anyway to search and replace the column break with a page break?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
From your description, I would like to verify if the problematic Distribution Group is a member of other distribution groups that don't check "require all senders are authenticated".
What's more, please check if there is any difference between this problematic distribution group and other normal distribution groups.

  • SQLNET authentication problem!

    Hi,
We have a setup in which the database server is running on a 'XXX' domain and all the clients are running in domain 'YYY'.
On the client, if following is the setup, then the clients face ORA-03113 after around 45 to 90 minutes of idle time.
    SQLNET.ORA
    NAMES.DEFAULT_DOMAIN=YYY
    TNSNames.ORA
    DBName.YYY = (..........
Note: This is not happening with all the clients in 'YYY' domain.
Now, we thought this was a domain authentication problem and removed the DEFAULT_DOMAIN setup from the client. Still the client faces ORA-03113.
As a part of trial, we moved one of the machines which was facing the problem to the domain of the database server and the error is gone.
But, due to obvious reasons, it is not possible to move all the clients to the domain of database server.
Is there any way to get around this problem?
Why is it that only some of the clients are facing this problem?
Why is it that the error occurs only after idle time and not during work?
Do we need to set NAMES.DEFAULT_DOMAIN=XXX at client? (I apologize for this question but I am really confused with the matters now)
Addition info: The database server is Oracle 10.1.0.2.0 and clients are ranging from Oracle 8.1.6 to Oracle 10.1.0. And the errors occur on clients with any version of Oracle.
Please help us out in this regard.
    Thanks in advance,
    Satish

I have gone thorugh the Action suggested for this oracle error.
If problematic machine is shifted to the domain XXX, error is gone,Do you shift physically to some other network?? if yes then there might be a problem with your network. The machines which are disconnected, might be on the same network channel or switch which is creating some problem in your network. this is only luck that your failure occur when there is no activity from that client which is disconnected.
Shift the places of problem facing client and non-problem facing client with each other and then check. It will clear the mind about the netrowk problem

    Web Service Authentication problem

    Hi
I have created a portal service and exposed this service as a webservice. I am consuming this webservice in webdynpro. Portal service contains 2 simple methods putdata() and getdatat().
When i access the webservice i am getting the following error.
"javax.xml.rpc.soap.SOAPFaultException: The User Authentification is not correct to access to the Portal Service com.sap.portal.prt.soap.GlobalData or the service was not found"
My Enterprise portal server is configured for SSO to back end R/3 system. I have checked for portal service availability and it is fine.
My Webdynpro and Portal are running on different machines. EP is running on AIX with SP11.
    Any help please.
    Regards
    NagaKishore V

    Hi Shahab,
Can you reproduce the issue if you create 2 applications. One that exposes a secured web service and the other one the one, consumes the web service? This would help to isolate the issue and move forward in case is a bug.
    Thanks,

  • 802.1x re authentication problem

    Hello,
I have problem with 802.1x authentication on switch ports which are configured in "Multi Session" mode. In Single host mode and Multiple Host mode it works just fine.
The problem is following, when PC  is first connected on switch port it authenticates successfully. After about 1-2 minutes windows 7 NIC notifies that its going to authenticate again, and after couple of minutes NIC status is changed to “Authentication Failed”. On ACS I only see first authentication request which is successful.  If I unplug PC from port and plug it again. It authenticates successfully and then starts again with same problems.
I was doing packet sniffing on PC, and it seems that after pc first authentication completes successful, switch starting to sent EAP Identity/Request packets to host, for that host is sending EAP Identity/Response to switch, but switch don’t continues authentication process and starts again with new EAP Identity/Request packets.
On Windows 7 host Event viewer I see  following log messages:
                    Reason: 0x70004
Reason Text: The network stopped answering authentication requests
                    Error Code: 0x0
The ACS version is 5.3. Authentication method is PEAP.  Supplicant OS is Windows 7 I also trued with Windows XP, with same result. The Authentication switch is ESW 520 with latest firmware. I also trued with 2960/3560 switches and it works perfectly. On ESW 520 switch if port mode is other  than “Multi Session" if works without any issue.
Do you have any Idea how can i fix this ?

    Hi ngtransge,
Thanks for rating the replies. You need to select "User Authentication". I am pasting some screenshots which might help you out.

  • Authentication problem - solved, but maybe a bug in Mac OS X?

    Hi,
I've a rather small installation with only a handful of users configured on a Mac mini (Mac OS X Server, 10.6.8). All of them use the mail, calendar and addressbook server on the Mac, nothing more. They use it with Mac, iPhone and iPad. Everything worked fine for months but suddenly all of them were faced authentication problems: it was not possible to login on the imap server, the calendar server, the addressbook server. It was possible to login using the admin account on the server directly. Moreover, all users disappeared from the workgroup manager, however they still were available on the servers LDAP server and findable using ldapsearch.
First, I used to completely restart the server to solve the problem, but it reappeared after only few hours again.
Second, after understanding more about the authentication process, I found the "killall DirectoryService" was sufficient to solve the problem, but it still reappeared after few hours.
Then I found the, once the problem occured, there was nearly no more communication to the local LDAP server on port 389 on localhost. When everything was working fine, the was a lot of such communication, including queries for usernames, when a login attempt was made. I started a "tcpdump -n -i lo0 port 389" and waited for the problem again. After the problem occured, I found in the pcap files that there were a few final query attempts, actually attempts the open a port 389 TCP connection to the slapd running on localhost, which were answered with a TCP RST. Then, no more attempts were made until l restarted the DirectoryService. Using the logfile of the slapd I found that this happened exactly at the time the slapd was stopped and restarted. And - surprisingly for me - stopping and restarting the slapd happened exactly once an hour.
I then found that it happened exactly at the time the time machine backup process was started and indeed it was possible to trigger the event of restarting the slapd by manually starting a time machine backup.
(Indeed, I switched my backup strategy from SuperDuper to time machine the other day and maybe that was the time the problem occured for the first time. I know that time machine is not considered as the best backup strategy for a server but I wanted to try on my own.)
Google helped my to find a hint that time machine will actually stop and restart slapd - which is a generally a good idea, since otherwise a backup from some open database files would be made, which could work but may fail. So, I thing, someone of the developers thought about that problem too and has considered time machine for backups of a server.
However, a not running slapd can not answer queries from a DirectoryService and a stopping or starting process might indeed end up with TCP SYNs answered with TCP RST.
My solution was to disable time machine again and from that time the problem does not occur again.
I'm wondering why the DirectoryService process isn't starting to query the slapd again after a failed connection. Isn't this a bug? After this experience I consider time machine as not only the not preferred backup solution for a server but as completely incompatible with Mac OS X server - although, as I said, it seems that someone thought about backing up the LDAP database using time machine.
(On a Lion server this problem does not occur, the slapd will not be stopped and restarted when time machine is running. Moreover, I saw a com.apple.slapd.start notification in the slapd.log ... maybe this tells DirectoryService to try again.)
    Cheers,
    Wolfgang

Another problem I found with the MacOS X key bindings: the 6 key doesn't work!

  • Wifi Authentication Problem in Lenovo K900

    Hi,
I am able to connect to wifi at home network. And when I try it at office it is showing Authentication problem and "Not in Range". The password and everything is correct. All my colleagues are able to connect with the same password. I searched online for the solution and there are many other lenovo tab and phone users facing the same problem and I am unable to find the solution. Can anyone resolve this issue and give appropriate answer for this.

This is the first time I'm hearing this issue, I'm also an K900 user but this never happmed to me or my other friends.
Are you sure that's the right password, maybe its case sensitive, because this bug is not present in K900.

  • Annoyed with JVC/Final Cut Pro import problem; will they ever fix this?

Annoyed with Final Cut Pro JVC import problem; will they ever fix this?
I've shot footage on JVC GY-HD111E in the UK in 720p/25p PAL mode.
I'm trying to import lots of short clips (average 10 seconds) into Final Cut Pro (latest version with 720p/25p support) with a new Mac Pro maxed out with ram and 3 extra internal HDs.
Problem is, on a scene-break i.e. pause/stop, Final Cut detects this and creates a new clip, but it takes about 5 seconds to 'searching for media" before it starts the new clip. Because some clips are only very short, this 5 second delay sometimes means I only get the final few frames of a clip, rather than the entire 5 seconds or so of it.
JVC UK are blaming Apple and are saying it is up to them to fix it as Premiere and Edius does not have this problem.
However, Symbiosis in the UK (who do HD-Connect box) say that the JVC ProHD cameras do not wrap the shots up properly at the end, they are kind of left open and this creates problems on scene-breaks.
I've tried turning off the "create new clip on timecode break" etc, but it does not make any difference, when I do this it simply quits capturing on a scene break. Besides I have about 300 cutaways like this and I don't want to spend the rest of the year breaking them up on the timeline as this would be a futile and long workflow.
I'm importing and working on a native HDV 720p/25p timeline and this is the way I want to work. I've already imported and edited 4 hours of footage, but these 4 hours were easy as all 4 tapes had no start/stop points, they were recorded continuously from beginning to end of tape for 64 minutes each time so importing was no problem; 1 clip per tape.
But now I've come to my 5 tapes containing hundreds of cutaways I'm kind of screwed and need some advise on how I can import them natively in HDV without losing this 5 seconds off the beginning of each clip whilst FCP searches for the media each time.
I've been told this issue is definately with FCP, any ideas how I can get around this?

I haven't heard of this JVC/FCP problem, so I can't comment on it. However, whoever shot the cutaways didn't do you, the editor, any favors.
I've been doing video since 1984, and I've got to say, anyone who shoots a scene that is only 5 or 6 seconds long on tape is making a huge mistake, and it's been that way since the beginning of computerized editing in the late 70s.
Shoot at least 5 seconds of pre-roll before the shot begins, then roll tape for at least 5 seconds after you've got the shot. That's the protocol I've followed for 22 years now. Tape is cheap, edit suite time isn't.
But laying down only 5 to 6 seconds for a scene is wrong, IMO.

  • Cisco ACS 4.2.1 authentication problem

We are using cisco ACS 4.2.1 on windows 2003  to authenticate  with windows 2003 Actice Directory. We have update Active directory server windows 2008 version. We have checked the configuration of ACS on windows database and no problem but we can't see in ACS dynamic user. I have authentication problem ACS 4.2.1 to Windows 2008 R2 active directory.

    Hi there,
There is a section in the ACS 4.x where you can define if the ACS should show the dynamic users or not, make sure that this option is unchecked, for this go to External User Databases/Unknown User Policy/Configure Caching Unknown Users
Also if you are facing authentication issues with ACS 4.x and Windows 2008 R2, you may want ready my previous answer.

  • ESW 520 802.1x re authentication problem

    Hello
I have problem with ESW 520, on 802.1x authentication. The problem is when host authenticates successfully it works about couple of minutes, after it truest too authenticate again but it lags. On network interface it shows notification that if Failed authentication. On ACS I see only one authentication attempt which is successful. This problem is happening on Win7 and Win XP. If I unplug and plug cable it authenticates successfully, but then about couple of minutes it again lags. Switch sees port as authenticated. On Win7 event viewer I have following error:
                    Reason: 0x70004
Reason Text: The network stopped answering authentication requests
                    Error Code: 0x0
If I connect same hosts on Catalyst 2960 switch, they work successfully.

    Hi  ngtransge
There are  tree possible explanations about  why the authentications  fails.
A)the network interface is shut down after failed computer authentication. You can see this on the switch as line protocol down for that port.
To verify the client has a domain certificate:
    1. Click Start and click Run.
    2. Type mmc, and then press ENTER.
    3. On the File menu, click Add/Remove Snap-in.
    4. Click Certificates, click Add, select Computer account, and then click Next.
    5. Verify that Local computer: (the computer this console is running on) is selected, click Finish, and then click OK.
    6. In the console tree, double-click Certificates (Local Computer), double-click Personal, and then click Certificates.
On a domain joined client, you should see a certificate here with Intended Purposes of Client Authentication. Make sure this certificate is not expired. If it is expired, you will need to regain connection to your CA to request a new one.
    B) You should check your switch's configuration, perhaps a port or some ports could be blocked by an access-list and interrupt the re authentication.
    C) If this two solutions don't work, you have to try to change the authentication method (PEAP-MSCHAPv2 or PEAP-EAP-TLS)
