X509 IBMJSSE under Web Services

Sun works fine but IBMJSSE yields:
java.net.SocketException: Default SSL context init failed: Algorithm SunX509 not available
at javax.net.ssl.DefaultSSLSocketFactory.createSocket(DashoA6275)
at org.apache.axis.components.net.JSSESocketFactory.create(JSSESocketFactory.java:130)
I presume the X509 SocketClass is not supported by Web Logic under IBMJSSE.. since it works fine with the sun provider. Or do I need to specify a particular definition in my java.security file?
This is what I had in java.security:
#IBM
#security.provider.1=sun.security.provider.Sun
#security.provider.2=com.ibm.crypto.provider.IBMJCE
#security.provider.3=com.ibm.jsse.IBMJSSEProvider
#security.provider.4=com.ibm.security.cert.IBMCertPath
#security.provider.5=com.ibm.crypto.pkcs11.provider.IBMPKCS11

Weblogic 8.1 uses Certicom SSL implementation, which will not use IBM JCE provider
for SSL because of the problems encountered with this provider. When it does not
find an acceptable JCE provider it defaults to a Jsafe provider. WLS provides
its own public SSL API.
If you are using JSSE API (assuming 8.1) you should consult JSSE documentation
about configuring the providers. The error message indicates a configuration problem,
and the java.security file you listed has all the providers commented out.

  • No web services show under web services node in app server navigator

    Hi,
    (JDev 11.1.1.5.0 and WLS 10.3.3.0)
    In JDeveloper Help, the topic Publishing Web Services to a UDDI Registry says:
    1. Deploy the web service to Oracle WebLogic Server.
    2. In Application Server navigator, expand the application server node.
    3. Expand the web services node and locate the node (which represents the WSDL) of the web service you want to publish.
    4. Right-click the WSDL node and choose Publish WSDL to UDDI to launch the Publish WSDL to UDDI Registry dialog.
    I did 1, 2 & 3 but nothing shows under the web services node in the app server navigator.
    There are lots of web services in that server, not only the one I had just deployed.
    What can be wrong?
    Thanks

    Hi SilverCat,
    I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems getting your claim code to setup ePrint on your Officejet 6700.
    Yes you can obtain the printer claim code.  There are a couple different ways that you can do so. The steps to do so can be found in your user's guide starting on page 69.  I have included a link to your User Guide.  The easiest is to do it from the front panel of the printer.  I have included a document on getting your printer claim code and it has those steps for you.  I have also included a document on getting started with HP's ePrint for additional reference.

  • Multiple web services on single server causing object undefined errors

    Hi,
    I've currently got a bit of a strange problem within a web service that is proving difficult to debug.
    There are the web service urls :
         api.domain.com                -> /var/www/html/api.domain.com/            -> CF mapping to MYSERVICE
         testapi.domain.com          -> /var/www/html/testapi.domain.com/     -> CF mapping to MYSERVICE_test
    In both instances the cfcs that contain the code to be translated into a WSDL reside in /api/..., in the case of this example, /api/common.cfc.  wsargs constists simply of refreshwsdl true.
    If I call the following 2 lines ...
         obj_myservice = CreateObject('webservice','http://api.domain.com/api/common.cfc?wsdl',wsargs);
         obj_myservice_test = CreateObject('webservice','http://testapi.domain.com/api/common.cfc?wsdl',wsargs);
    I then call the same method in both, and they are successful.  When checking the "Data & Services" -> "Web Services" panel within the CF control panel, only the web service "http://api.domain.com/api/common.cfc?wsdl" is listed, and not testapi.domain.com......
    If I reverse the order in which the WSDL's are loaded then this switches, and testapi.domain.com..... gets listed under "Web Services" but api.domain.com..... does not.  In essence it appears as though for some reason the CF server overwrites one with the other.  The exact "object undefined" error is proving difficult to reproduce reliably.
    This appears to happen no matter which server is accessing the web service, be it the same server or a remote server.  All servers involved are running CF8.  Accessing the 2 WSDL files in a browser results in the 2 WSDLs being rendered correctly with different namespace values.
    On the same server are 2 more services
         MYSERVICE2
         MYSERVICE2_test
    These reside in the /api2 directories on the same 2 subdomains, api. and testapi.   MYSERVICE2 and MYSERVICE2_test appear to conflict with each other.  MYSERVICE and MYSERVICE_test appear to conflict with each other.  MYSERVICE and MYSERVICE2 do not appear to conflict with each other.
    Is there a configuration change or anything like that which I should be aware of that would prevent me doing the above?  The 2 /api/ directories are nearly identical with the exception that the namespace and complex type names have been set to http://api.domain.com & MYSERVICE in the first, and http://testapi.domain.com & MYSERVICE_test in the second url.
    I have also tried mapping /MYSERVICE and /MYSERVICE_test within /opt/coldfusion8/WEB-INF/jrun-web.xml to no avail.
    Any help would be appreciated.  If there is any useful information that I have missed off please let me know and I'll dig it out.

    Hi,
    As an extension to the above
    Server                Test service         "Live" service
    1 ("dev")                devtest                   devlive               http://dev(test/live).domain.com
    2 ("test")                testtest                   testlive               http://test(test/live).domain.com
    I currently have a test script (TEST1) that performs the following :
    CreateObject + call method from devlive
    CreateObject + call method from devtest
    CreateObject + call method from testtest
    The script errors on the third, when it attempts to call a method from devtest.  On the server on which this test script is running, by the end of this, there are the following 2 web services in the Coldfusion control panel :
    http://devlive.domain.com/api/common.cfc?wsdl
    http://testtest.domain.com/api/common.cfc?wsdl
    I have a second test script (TEST2) on a second server distinctfrom the first test script server, on which the following is performed :
    CreateObject + call method from testlive
    If I execute TEST2, then it executes fine.  If I execute TEST1 straight after, then I receive the following error on TEST1
    AxisFault
    faultCode: {http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/}Server.userException
    faultSubcode:
    faultString: org.xml.sax.SAXException: Deserializing parameter 'objectFetchReturn':  could not find deserializer for type {http://common.types.WEBSERVICE_test}details
    Where WEBSERVICE.types.common.details is a complex type (/api/types/common/details.cfc). If I then run the TEST2 script again straight after, the same error appears (with WEBSERVICE in place of WEBSERVICE_test).  If I execute TEST2 twice in a row, or TEST1 twice in a row, then the error disappears"test" server has got jrun-web.xml  edited to include the following, which "dev" does not.
      <virtual-mapping>
        <resource-path>/WEBSERVICE_test</resource-path>
        <system-path>/var/www/html/testapi.domain.com/api</system-path>
      </virtual-mapping>
      <virtual-mapping>
        <resource-path>/WEBSERVICE</resource-path>
        <system-path>/var/www/html/api.domain.com/api</system-path>
      </virtual-mapping>
    I hope that this extended explaination helps.

  • How to remove user authentication for SAP Web Service?

    Hi there,
    I am using SAP Web Services in my flex application. Every time wsdl url is called, the username\password window pops up. I want to remove this.
    I searched in the forum and based on the discussions, I tried giving the user name password under Web Service Administration using SOAMANAGER, by selecting No Authentication option. But this did not work. I still get that pop up.
    I also tried giving the credentials in SICF, under Logon Data tab of the service. This too failed. I kept getting the pop up.
    Can someone pls let me know how can I remove this? If username password in mandatory to be passed, I can create a temporary username which will be used to access all of my webservices and use it. But I want to remove this authentication part when I am using the flex application ang calling the web service url from within it.
    Appreciate your help.....
    -Deepak

    Hi,
    It is a little bit tricky, because the interface has changed several times in different releases. I know that it is possible without authentification.
    I remember that i defined somewhere the default client, the username and password in the ERP system to use by this web service.
    Maybe it helps if you try the old transactions WSADMIN, WSCONFIG or WSADMIN2 ?
    Sorry that I cannot help you more. I hope it helps.

    Hi Johan,
    it seems when you clicking upon the link - it is sending a wrong set of parameters to underlying Web Service method. What I mean is - suppose the web service method is expecting 3 parameters - but the link click is actually effecting into sending less than that number. Please check what & how many parameter values are being sent to the web service.

  • Oracle service bus and composing two web services

    All,
    Do let me know your thoughts on this.
    Currently we have two web services
    Web Service 1 - Verify Eligibility
    Web Service 2 - Approve Proposal
    Web Service 1 has one operation and accepts a well defined set of input parameters similarly web service 2 also exposes a single operation and accepts a set of input parameters.
    These are deployed and running in our environment.
    Now we have a requirement to stitch together these two web services and expose them as one single composite web service on the Oracle Service Bus 11g.
    I want to create a proxy service on the OSB as unified web service (having its own WSDL) by composing the operations and input plus output parameters of the aforementioned two web services.
    This way we can publish the WSDL to the front-end apps and they will trigger it with the required parameters and the proxy service will orchestrate the call to WS1 and WS2 and send the final output back to the calling client.
    I was able to create an outbound call from the Proxy service to the underlying business services but I am not able to expose the Proxy service as web service with a WSDL i.e. create the proxy service by choosing operations of Web service 1 and web service 2
    Please let me know your thoughts on this.
    Regards,
    Sushant

    Thanks Atheek
    The proxy service I tried to create orchestrate 2 web services.
    But where we are struggling is How can i make this proxy service (composite) as a web service along with the WSDL.
    The proxy service should be able to accept calls from the client with set of inputs representing both the underlying web services and coordinate calls b/w these two services and return consolidated output back to the calling client.
    I am not finding a way to create a proxy service (web service along with the wsdl) which is representative of the underlying web services in a consolidated manner that can accepts inputs on behalf of both the underlying web services, orchestrate calls b/w the 2 web services and return the final output back to the calling client.
    example modified to keep it brief
    web service1
    operation name: Verify Eligibility
    Input: Complex type (String name, int Id, String address)
    Output: Complex type(String approval status, int Id, String reason)
    web service2
    operation name: Approve Proposal
    input: Complex type(String approval status, int Id, String reason, int Amount, int EmployeeCount)
    Output: Complex type (String final status, String recommendation)
    Composite Proxy Web Service
    name: Composite Eligibility and Approval
    Input: Complex type ( String name, int Id, String address, int Amount, int EmployeeCount)
    Output: Complex type(String approval status, int Id, String reason,String final status, String recommendation)
    The composite proxy should be created in a manner to jam the inputs of both the underlying web services and expose a representative interface on behalf of both the web services. This composite web service interface creation (WSDL) is where we are struggling a bit.
    Because the calling clients need a unified WSDL to able to communicate with the composite web service.
    Do post your thoughts.
    Thanks Again,
    Sushant

  • Oc4j and ejb3.0 as web services

    Hi,
    I have deployed a ejb3.0 jar with following files.
    Interface :
    package samples.webservice;
    import javax.jws.WebService;
    *@WebService*
    public interface HelloRemote
    public String echo(String input);
    Bean
    package samples.webservice;
    import javax.ejb.Remote;
    import javax.ejb.Stateless;
    import javax.jws.WebMethod;
    import javax.jws.WebService;
    import javax.jws.soap.SOAPBinding;
    *@WebService(name = "HelloRemote",serviceName = "HelloWorldService")*
    *@SOAPBinding(style = SOAPBinding.Style.RPC)*
    *@Remote(HelloRemote.class)*
    *@Stateless (name = "HelloRemote")*
    public class HelloWorld implements HelloRemote
    *@WebMethod*
    public String echo(String input)
    return input+"Hello";
    The ejb jar does not contain any deployment descriptor. I deployed it on OC4J 10.1.3.5. and Java-6.
    It got deployed without any error.
    But I am not able to see the WSDL using url.
    My ejb jar name is TestOc4j.jar
    At whct url I will be able to see the WSDL.
    I checked the admin console, under web services tab, there is no entry. I think it should show my Ws entry.
    Am I missing any step. The same WS (as ejb3) worked fine with the jboss6.
    Regards

    Hi,
    you could use TopLink exposed by a EJB 3.0 session bean and use web services annotation of JSR-181 (available as a library) to expose it as a Web Service. In Business Components you expose methods to WebService by creating a remote configuration. I've done TopLink/EJB 3.0 and found it straight forward to use. In both cases the information to query from row 50 . 125 needs to be passed in by the Webservice.
    For PLSQL you may want to look at PLSQL WebServices (there are OBE availabe on the OTN website for JDeveloper -- look in the 10.1.2 or 9.0.5 section)

  • P6v7 web services deploying error

    Hi,
    I am trying to start a p6v7 web service on a standalone machine. I have installed it (successfully, i guess), and have finished deploying it to JBoss application server (just copied the war to the deploy folder of JBoss).
    When I run the java demo, it failed.
    I have attached the error messages from the server side as follows:

    I know Java a little but is newbie to Web Services. Please give me a hint how to fix it, or where to learn this stuff. (the oracle manuals are not really helpful at all, or maybe it is my problem...)
    Thanks!

    You may try this...
    Open P6 Administrator and Under Custom Configuration select the configuration used for web services. Expand all the nodes and sub nodes under web services and set everything to false where it is true. Try to restart jboss.
    If you are using SSL for P6 Web then Web service should also be configured for SSL

  • Getting started with a web service client

    I am trying to figure out how to create a web service client using NetBeans 6. I started with a class library for testing in Fitnesse. I've been using tutorials and Googling around but now I am stuck. I have added the JAX-RPC library; I am able to add a web service client to the project using the IDE; and I can view all of the objects and methods under "Web Service References" and compile the code; however, at runtime I get the error:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/rpc/Service
         at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method) ... etc.

    I was able to get the web service client to work in Windows XP by following the same steps I was using in Windows 2003 x64. I did not need to add anything to the Class Path in XP to run the test application and execute a web service method; however, NetBeans would not give me the option to test the web method from the IDE.
    I will try re-installing java and netbeans on the 64 bit server and see if that helps.

  • Can't find where to update SOAP header request on a Web Service

    Hello,
    I am consuming a certain Web Service from a remote Server and succefully created a client proxy for it.
    This Web Service requires a String parameter (which is the licence key) to be inserted in the SOAP request header. I've searched at the client proxy I created under Virtual Interface, Web Service Definition and under Web Service Configuration but couldn't find an option which allows me to modify the SOAP header request.
    At this link:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/a2/99af4e693dee43a0519e029549647b/content.htm
    There is an explanation on how to transfer existing request parameters from the SOAP body to the SOAP header, but I want to add the header new parameter except the exsiting parameters the Web Service request expects.
    I can of course write the request myself but than I loose the whole wizard advantage...
    Can someone please tell me where can I find it?
    Roy

    Ralph Landry1, your link just sends them to the links I provided.

  • Weblogic 12c (12.1.2.1) JAX-WS Web Service :: Admin Console

    When in my development environment (eclipse, weblogic server) and working on a JAX-WS web service; From the administrative console, under deployments, when I expand the EAR, i can see the EAR, a module for the web service project, and under Web Services, the context name of the service.
    When i export the EAR and load this on my integration server, i do not see the Web Service listed, when expanding the depolyed EAR.
    Anyone know what i am missing to have the service displayed?
    Thanks,
