Can We Display a Tabular Format in the Decision Report?

Hello,
One of my current OPA integrations is replacing an Excel-based application that calculates entity values across rows and columns. In the OPA version, the rows are separated into screens, and the columns - the results - are displayed in a decision report that shows a single value per line, and is not vertically aligned. This makes the results much more difficult to view "at a glance" compared to the legacy solution. I'm wondering if there's any way to incorporate tabular formatting (mainly vertical alignment) within the decision report - does anyone know?

With version 10.3 and the BI publisher integration you can design virtually any format for the decisions you wish. When using BI publisher, a completely customized decision report is quite easy. See the OPM help topic "BI Publisher code for Oracle Policy Modeling" and/or the example that ships with 10.3 for more info. If using the web service to make determinations, you could also post process the XML for the decision report (i.e. using XSLT or code) to produce a table in XML or HTML. Customizing the "default" decision report into a tabular view would probably prove more difficult than the other options.

Object Id on the Decision Report List applet does not display the Object Id

The Object Id field of the Decision Report List Applet displays either the entity name of the entity name - Id. We wouldlike to dispay the siebel row Id's in that field respectivey for the parent or the child or grandchild entities.Please help with h to go about it.
If the base entity is declared as global in OPM, then global gets displayed in the Object id. If a siebel entity is declared as an entity in OPM then entityname - Id gets displayed.

Unfortunately the decision report comes from deep with the engine and there is not much you can do to change it.
However, the Decision report is XML which is then modified by an XSLT for display in Siebel. You could have a look at the style sheet and the original XML and see if there is a way for displaying the XML that might be more suitable for your purpose.
The xslt is decision_report.xslt and can be found in the siebsrvr\XSLT directory.

You can do a couple of things - one would be to pass the information using the data linking expert. Right click on the subreport, choose 'Change Subreport Links' and select the field(s) you are wanting to pass to the subreport. CRW will build parameters and a record selection formula for you in the subreport, and if that's what you want, then great. But you can also remove the selection formula from the subreport and work with the parameter fields in the subreport however you would like.Alternatively, you can look to passing Shared variables back and forth from the main and subreport. this link talks about the method to do this: http://diamond.businessobjects.com/node/251

Displaying only relevant base level attributes in the decision report

I am running OPA 10.2 determinations server on weblogic. The service I am using is Assess. The following is a node within my decision report:

As can be seen, although the goal has evaluated to "true" since "q_Register_To_Vote" is false, it is still showing "Political_Party" is unknown. However when I debug in OPM without screens setting "relevant only" to true and provide false to " q_Register_To_Vote", "Political_Party" is hidden from the resulting tree/decision report. How can this behavior be simulated in the determinations server's assess service's decision report?

The reason that political_party shows up in the decision report is because it is actually relevant. For more information on relevance in decision reports see http://docs.oracle.com/html/E24270_01/Content/Decision%20reports/Hide_an_attribute_from_decision_report.htm.
You can suppress attributes in a decision report by using the Silent and/ or Invisible operators. For more information on that see http://docs.oracle.com/html/E24270_01/Content/Reference/Definition_of_relevant_in_decision_reports.htm.

How can I display date+time and not the point number in excell?

Hi everyone,
Could anybody tell me how I can save date + time to a file, so that I can display on a diagram(excel) : date+time in (ox) and data (oy)? :
My program sets in (ox) the point number and not the date+time....( although date and time are written correctly in the column...)

hi there,
excel uses 01.01.1900 00:00 as the time offset, LabVIEW uses 01.01.1904 02:00, so you can't display the correct datetime in excel when you write the time as a fractional number of seconds from LabVIEW. you must format the datetime in LabVIEW to a string and write that to the column. use the "Format Date/Time String" - function and for example "%d.%m.%Y %H:%M:%S%3u" as the format string (see the functions help for more examples). you also could format your data to a string using "Format Into String" - function and write the file as a 2D string array. the decimal point you have to use depends on your system and its settings, but you can specify the decimal point in the Format string like "%.;%f" (means fractional number with point as decimal point).

As you seen in the above output i need Below jan 2011 NO and AMOUNT similar for other months.

Are you able to populate NO ? If yes i don't see why u can't populate No Amount.
If you are not able to populate No.. just pass the same based on the condition to the (string) field that column is referring to ..
Or are u not able to align the columns ? If yes, you will have to do some hit and trial with write statement ..or better why not use grid display ..

How can i display a list of all the names stored in the Mail app?

When sending an email, the program shows a list of names according to the first and subsequent letters that I type into the To: field. There are times I cannot recall someone's email user name. How can I display a complete list of all the names Mail has stored? I know that I can go to the To: field then type in the letter A, then write down all listings under A, and then repeat for each letter of the alphabet, but there should be an easier method.
I have perhaps dozens of names in Mail, but only five names in Address Book, so the latter does me no good.

On the menubar, Mail > Window > Previous Recipients

When the user runs a report this variable value should be called once and displayed below the report title or in a specified cell. Hi Bhanu,
In the query properties you can only see text variables and not the formula variables. If I define my number of working days as text variable and I can display in the report. However, I need to use this variable in some calculation in the report, so it has to be formula variable in order to use in calculations. I appreciate your input with points.

Can I copy a catalog format to the other files in the book?

Yet another question from a newbie, FM 10 Windows 7. I finally figured out how to filter the paragraph catalog so it opens with only the styles I want, in the order I want. I was very pleased until I noticed that this catalog didn't carry over throughout the whole book. I tried importing a format from another document, but it didn't succeed. I thought the solution might be to change the format when there's nothing open, but then the catalog is blank. If I open the book and select the title of the book, the menu changes.
Is there a way to change a default over the whole book instead of a in single document?

You can try the plug-in for free and only pay the few dollars if it suits your work's needs.
IMO it's short sighted to avoid a tool that can make your work more efficient, especially if its cost is trivial. Hi,
there is no support for doc files (M$ Word?) in Java. You would have to create your own classes for that eventually subclassing JEditorPane, EditorKit, Document etc. As well you'd need your own reader for the doc format.
The problem I see with that however is that there is nothing such as thedoc file format. Microsoft just saves anything produced by MS Word into files ending with .doc. But, if there is anything such as a .doc file format, it changes more often than the weather in April.

How can I display URL parameters ({module_url}) in the Order Receipt page?

I'm trying to display extra information in my Order Receipt page by passing a value in the URL from the Order Registration form.
The parameter is adding to my URL and the form is processing as expected, but I can't seem to pull that value out of the URL to display on the page.
I've used {module_url, myValue} but it comes up empty.
Am I doing something wrong or can you not use this module in the Order Receipt page?

As you know we have BSP PIQ_AUDIT program can see what student have studied but only display short name of module (short name of IT1000) and can display long text when i put indicator to the short text. so users request to display long text instead of short text.
Can i display long text instead of short text in the screen directly ?.
if yes, how can i change it and if not can somebody recommend another way to display long text ?.

Under BSP PIQ_AUDIT you can view long text of module under Academic work.
Under information --> academic work you can view long text also.

When you are doing fieldcatalog,comment ws_fieldcat-do_sum = 'x'.
if you comment that it wont display totals.
use sort
i_sort type slis_alv...
clear ws_sort.
ws_sort1-spos = '1'<position of field>
ws_sort-fieldname = 'matnr'.
ws_sort-up = 'x'.
append ws_sort to i_sort.
pass this i_sort to FM

after that i have to see the purticular vndor balence report t.code
F.18, in that report can not displayed accounting clerk name,
why?
