XA driver Shrink Problems

Question

Hi,
I am using WLS 8.1 SP2 that runs the WLI processes. I have Ms SQL server 8.00.810
at the back end.
I use XA drivers( upgrading to sp2 compelled me to use an XA driver) to cnnect
to the DB. Even if there is noting runing or querying on the DB , I see that my
queue length increases after about the shrink frequency of the pool. I have tried
setting it to various values and I know for sure that its doing something while
shrinking the XA pool. I have only set the following flags to true
TestConnectionsOnCreate="true" TestConnectionsOnRelease="true" TestConnectionsOnReserve="true"
other than that everything is default.
I wonder if I have to set some flags like allow local transactions and keep
XA conections tillthe transactons is complete...etc to true.
Please tell me what the above flags are for. And if I have to set them. how
about setting autocommit to true?

you dont have to set all the three to true , TestConnectionsOnCreate="true"
TestConnectionsOnRelease="true" TestConnectionsOnReserve="true"
Just use TestConnectionsOnReserve="true" .
for descriptions of these you should check the edocs.bea.com website and
read the documentation.I think it makes sense to deprecate TestConnectionsOnRelease in Diablo,
or at least ignore it. It is useless and is often a source of confusion.
