Xcode no remotes found

So I setup XCode 4.4 to use git on a local repository. That's working. Now I want a remote repository so I added a bare repository on another machine on the local network using the git command line. That worked, I can see the repository in the Finder on the remote machine and can see its internal structure. I added the repository to the project in the Organizer window. When I select Remotes I see my remote repository.
In the Organizer when I select the Remotes under my project I see one entry in the right hand list, when I select that entry I see the login credentials and the path, <ssh://[email protected]/path/to/repo/myRepo.git>. The reomte machine is online and reachable.
But when I select File/Source Control-?Push the popup in the alert sheet says "No remotes found".
Google found another couple of people with the same issue, but no answers.
Thanks,
Brian

I'm having this same exact problem with xcode 4.4. For me, remotes do not work for repositories at beanstalkapp.com but they do work for github repo's. These same repositories work completely fine via command line pushes.

  • How to connect to SVN from Xcode?

I'm following the doc here http://developer.apple.com/mac/articles/server/subversionwithxcode3.html for setting up a one person repository using svnserve. I'm at the part where you put in the URL for Xcode. When I turn on remote login file sharing, the url it provides is the name of my Macbook, which is Macbook. When I put this in Xcode for the Subversion URL svn+ssh://[email protected]/Library/Subversion/Repository/Project1, it gives an error:
Error: 210002 - Network connection closed unexpectedly.
Variations of the url result in the same error. Any suggestions?

My answer my not be exactly relevant but just wanna share this, because I did wasted a lot of time on SVN + XCode. It might be useful to someone else searching for XCODE + SVN
Xcode 3.1 does not support post svn 1.4 repositories (current SVN is 1.5.6 (stable) with 1.6.0 comming out soon ). I had to downgrade mine so I could use XCode facilities. Found this page last week:

  • Remote and AppleTV will not Find Itunes?

I have tried to connect to my iTunes with AppleTV and Remote but it will not show up as an option. My iPhone "sees" the AppleTV and communicates perfectly but not iTunes...even after doing every single step possible. I uninstalled the Remote App and reinstalled it, Turned off home sharing and turned it back on, I even formatted my HD and reinstalled everything but no go.  I have Home Sharing on the proper way.  My wireless router is working perfectly as well.  I disabled All Antivirus and Fierwalls.  Still no go.
As a test, I installed iTunes on my laptop at my house and Remote found it right away.  So, I thought it had to be a glitch in my PC and that's why I formatted it but it doesn't appear to be the case.  There's got to be an answer out there.  By the way, remote DID work on this PC in January.  It just stopped working.
Does anybody have an answer to this?  I am sure I am not the only one with this problem.
I look forward to any solution you might may have.
    Thanks!

Folks, I figured it out.  It was definitely the Wireless Router.  After I disabled the IGMP setting in my Verizon FIOS router and then rebooted my AppleTV and Remote..it worked perfectly.
So, after wasting hours formatting and reinstalling everything, it ended up being a very easy fix...less than 5 minutes. It's pretty simple to find in the router settings too.  I hope this helps others.

  • Xcode is not shown in launchpad

For some reasion I want to use older versions of xcode on my macbook pro I tried to download and install the old xcode with sdk(from 2011) just as I did on my friends computer which it worked before but this time I failed.I tried it many times the  installation finishes without a problem but xcode launcher is not shown in launchpad or any other tools also I cant find any startup icon in developer or any other folders.
Any of you had the same problem like me with old versions of xcode also I cant isntall the application tools files because it says xcode is not found on this computer but I installed it on my hard drive.
If any of you had the same problem and solved it please share...

4.3.3 is the complete basic tool suite. What you downloaded was a .dmg file...double click on that to open and mount. If it's an installer, run it. If it's Xcode the application, drag it into your /Applications folder and run it from there. Unmount the .dmg when done.
You can then download components such as debugging support for another version iOS and documents.
I would suggest you start with the latest tools. You'll go blind trying to straddle fossilized tools and SDKs and anything you learn will be at high risk of being obsolete to get into the store and support things today. Don't put yourself behind the curve at the beginning. Don't be afraid to use Storyboards.

  • Xcode wont install. Upgrade to lion?

    Hey!
I have a MacBook pro that is currently running Mac OS X v10.6.8 (Snow Leopard). I need to download Xcode and have found the older version of it that is supposed to work on this version from the apple dev website. I get up until the actual "install" button in the installation wizard and it says this:
"The installation failed. An unknown installation error has occurred. The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."
When I enter the PDF file that came with the download, it tells me that this is Xcode 3.2.6 for Max OS X 10.6 and iOS 4.3. I am unsure as to why it is not installing. There is more than enough HD space.
Do I have to upgrade to 10.7.4 (Lion) before I can use Xcode?
If yes, how exactly do I go about upgading to Lion? Does it cost? How much? Will it wipe my HD?
It is imperative that that last question is correctly answered because it is not just my laptop, it is shared with someone else.
Please help me ASAP as this is a rather urgent matter.
    Thanks in advance,
    Daniel.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
I recommend you to upgrade to the most recent OS X version, so you will be able to make applications for OS X Mountain Lion and Lion, too.
The upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion costs $19.99 in the Mac App Store, so the first thing you have to do is to check if all your apps are supported > http://www.roaringapps.com
Then, open App Store and purchase Mountain Lion. While the Mountain Lion installer is downloading, you can make a Time Machine backup and/or a clone with Carbon Copy Cloner
When the Mountain Lion installer has downloaded, the installer will appear, so follow the steps to upgrade to Mountain Lion. After upgrading, open App Store and download Xcode 4 for free.
The hard disk won't be wiped because of upgrading Mac OS X, but as I said, you must make a backup of your files

  • Need to sign Lenovo in order to install our Remote Control app for our Customer - Help please!

    Dear All,
Thank you for joining me into the Lenovo Community.
I am not certain if I have started the thread in the right place, if I have not, admins please help me transfer this thread where needed.
One of our Customers is going to purchase our Remote Control application, in order to access and remote control their Android Smartphones, from their Windows PCs (Windows Computers to access and remote control their Android phones). The Customer is using Lenovo as their smartphones (about 2000 of them).
However, our application needs to be signed by Lenovo in order to fully install and run on a Lenovo Android smartphone.
I do not have access to the Support department, nor to the Development department of Lenovo in China.
Is there a way that you would recommend I take, either by contacting Development directly, or Support, and where would that be? China or US?
Thank you in advance and I hope to hear from you soon.
    kind regards,
    Michael Chatzilias

Use the "auto search" feature of the remote to see get the code.
In the manual, it's under "WHAT IF NONE OF THE CODES WORKED"
    Here's a summary:
program the TV, use code 922
    Press Play
    then Press Fast forward.
Keep pressing fast forward until your tv turns off (go slow, if you go to fast you can use rewind to go back a code).
when it turns off, the remote found the code, press OK to save it.

  • Unistalling Xcode with TextWrangler doc

I have a problem trying to get the Xcode version from my Tiger DVD to install properly.
I had to uninstall Leopard because I have an app that will not launch under Leopard (Painter X). I was previously using the Tiger version of Xcode version with no problem. After the Leopard install, I was also using that version of Xcode.
After I reinstalled Tiger I cannot get ANY Tiger version of Xcode to function. I had a backup version of Xcode v2.1 on my external HD but that version now will not compile my 2.1 Xcode files not run claiming that the compiler gcc.4 is missing. When I use the Tiger DVD to try and re-install Xcode all that I find in the Developer/App folder is the Java app. No Xcode.
I found a TextWrangler 'uninstall-devtools.pl' file but I do not know how to make this run. I am not sure, but I think this script must be run in order to re-install all of the Xcode tools properly.
Any help with be greatly appreciated. I hope I have explained this clearly enough.
    Thanks

    Matt,
OK! I did as instructed, have now re-started my PB, tested Xcode and I am VERY HAPPY to say that I'm good to go, as they say.
I will admit that I took a look at the 'About Xcode Tools. pdf' earlier, but overlooked the crucial uninstall info on page 3. However, this is a lesson I will not ever forget.
I did get a compiler error on one of my programs which stated ' .../ ... /macosx10.5 does not exist', but I am sure that means that this Xcode program was written when Leopard was my OS X. This is not a problem at all.
I have learned a lot today. The Terminal warnings about using the sudo command gave me pause, but everything worked out just fine. I cannot thank you enough for your kind help.
    Pizza's on the way!

  • Lion Automator - Photoshop not showing up in applications list

I am brand new to the Mac world and trying desperately to figure out everything.
I have searched high and low for some sort of help/tutorial/google search on Automator and am coming up empty.
I am running Lion on a brand new MacBook Pro along with Photoshop CS5 v. 12.1.  I have installed Photoshop Automator 5.0 as well.
When I open Automator, in the libraries under application view mode, Photoshop is not showing in the list.  The Photoshop Automator actions do show in the main library list in Automator, however, the association icon is a gray X.
How do I get Photoshop to show as an application?  I can't even get Automator to open Photoshop.
I am praying that you will be able to help me.  Please let me know what additional information you need in order to help.
    Thanks in advance!

    File>New does nothing?

  • Folder Actions script no longer runs on new file creation

Hope this isn't trivial.......first time posting here...hopefully in the right place.I'm not a total Mac OS X newbie...and surely no techie, either. Dabbled a wee bit with Automator and scratchin' my head on this one. Help, please!
Any idea why folder actions not running when a new file is saved? A simple add-color-label script created in Automator was workin' fine before I did a Snow Leopard-to-Leopard downgrade clean-install & account migration from external HD (TimeMachine) backup. Folder actions are enabled and script runs only if I start it with Automator Runner. Previously, it would label the file as soon as I saved it....now it needs a manual start. Is this default behavior in Leopard? Or am I missing something or doin' something wrong? Or is this a consequence of downgrade? I was sure I had the same script workin ok in my original Leopard install - though possibly un-modified at that time.
I have no clue why, but the new version I created recently (cpl wks ago?)worked the first time I added a new file but not thereafter...and in that instance it only labelled the file in Finder upon quitting Preview (file is a Grab saved as pdf).
The reason for the downgrade was compatibility problems with Photoshop CS4 on SL (OS & app all updated yet crashin' at the drop of a hat) - maybe due to lack of RAM? (only 1GB). Saw quite a few posts regarding SL running CS4 problems, so now I'm back to running 10.5.8 ..again.. and PS actually runs smooth like it did before.
Maybe these console messages are a help......or am I barkin' up the wrong tree?

Do I need to wipe the drive again and re-install everything?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Apologies if this seems long-winded.

Folder Actions are set up a bit differently in Leopard (they use an AppleScript wrapper), and several actions have been updated to use new technologies available in Snow Leopard.  Looking at some of your console logs, it looks like some actions or workflows were just copied over from Snow Leopard.  When changing versions like that, you should rebuild the workflows so that they link to the correct actions, and check added actions for any dependencies (an action won't be loaded if it requires resources that are not available).
Resaving your Folder Action workflow as a Folder Action Plug-in should do the trick.

  • Solution for Poor signal in a wireless WDS network with two Airport Extreme

I have just bought my second Airport Extreme to create a wireless network with the best possible signal. I have one Airport Extreme in my office and the second one (supposedly the remote base) in the living room, two brick walls and 7 meters away. I have follow Apple instructions for the setup, main base "Create a Wifi Network" and Extend network option selected. The remote "join an existent network" and Allow wifi clients selected. According to Apple this is a WDS network between two Airport Extreme.
The network is working and the signal from my iMac is very good in my Office. In the living room the signal with my PC laptop is also very good.
Problem is that my iPod Touch OS 3.0 (I use it as a remote control in my living room with a twonky media server) gets now a very weak wifi signal in my living room, in many cases I lose the wifi sgnal although I sit two meters away from the remote Airport Extreme in the Living Room. If I go to my office with the iPod, then I get a good signal.
I think that only the first Airport Extreme in my Office (Main Base) is emitting a wifi signal and the second Airport Extreme (remote) is only receiving the wifi signal not making a repetition of the wifi signal. (Sorry for my explanation, I am not technical on this.)
I thought that, in a WDS configuration, the remote Airport Extreme WAS suppose to also replicate the wifi signal in my living room.
I have also tried a WDS manual setup with the two airport with the same results.
Is there a solution for this?. Do I have to connect the two Airport Extreme with a wire ethernet in order to be able to have a wifi signal strong enough in my living room for my iPod Touch?.
    Thank you for your time.

Thank you Bob for your time.
I understand from your words that with a DHCP reservation I can force de Airport Extreme Main Base to assign an specific IP to a particular client in the network. Is that correct?. If that is the case, I will reserve the 10.0.1.3 to the Twonky Media Server (I need this to be fixed to this IP) and I will change the configuration of the remote Airport Extreme to DHCP automatic.
I will give it a try in a few days. I have spent so many hours with this set up that I am a bit terrified to start again today, to tired from work.
Just one last question. Setting up the remote Airport was very difficult with the Airport Utility. I had to reset and start many times as I always got two errors in the set up:
    1.- Internet not connected.
After a minute or so, most of the time the problem was corrected automatically as the remote found the main base that is connected to the internet. I got a confirmation message for this.
2.- Second problem was that Airport Utility said that it could no connect the remote to the specified network. Sometimes (not always) the remote light turn green both in the Airport Extreme and in the Airport Utility, BUT I never got confirmation of a successful installation. Nevertheless, the connection was established because the wifi network exist.
Do I have to "disable the WAN port" during the installation of the remote Airport to avoid the problems?.
    Best Regards,
    Fernando
