XD CAM option in FCX Import drop down

I'm new to working with XDCAM files in Final Cut. I've installed the suggested Sony XD CAM plug-in for working with XD CAM EX archived footage in FCX and and the Clip Browser.
When I try to import XD CAM files I'm not getting the XD CAM file option in Final Cut's list of options. I tried emporting an MXF clip I created independently in the Clip Browser application, but FCX isn't recognizing that either. Any help?

I have an external hard drive from my cameraman with folders of XDCAM original footage from SXS cards. In those folders and maong the many files are MP4 files that I can play back using Toast, but thy won't convert to Quicktime using Toast. I've installed the Sony plug-in for working with XD CAM EX files from the Sony web site as the working around.
The plugin I installed from the site is, I assume, what is referred to as "Sony's XDCAM Transfer application above. When I go to "File", "Import" in Final Cut X, I don't have the option of importing Sony XDCAM material as per this reference graphic. I only see the other options. If I select "Files", the archived files, including the MP4 files, are greyed out and not accessible. This would suggest that the plugin isn't installing properly on Finl Cut, or that I need something else to allow for XDCAM materials to be imported, but I'm unclear hat that is.
I can play these same files in Sony's XDCAM Clip Browser, but I'm unsure how to create the file format that I can import into FCP using the browser.
Any advice will help.

In the preOpen event of the second dropdown list you put something like (in formCalc):

Adding option to smart album drop-down list

I want to create a smart album of all 5-star images, but to exclude one project. So I create a new smart album, go to the gear, add "Other Metadata" and in the first list, select "Project." But there is no option in the second drop-down for "is not." Is there a way to add another option to the drop-down so that there is an "is not" option alongside"includes," "is," etc.?

ACR is a normal fille handler that will come up with suitable files when using any of the open/ import/place commands.

Execute option missing from JSP drop down menu

I'm going through a Java Web Development class and trying to produce a small web app through Sun Java Studio Enterprise 7 2004Q4. I have two servlets, a couple of classes and two JSPs. At seemingly random times the "Execute" and "Execute (force reload)" options from the drop down menu you get when you right click a JSP fails to show up. It isn't grayed out, it just isn't there. Most of the time these options are there. And they can be there one time and then for the same project, same set of JSPs everything, they just disappear.
Can anyone tell me what dumb thing I'm doing to cause this?
And can anyone tell me how to fix it once I've done it?

First of all thank you for all the time you are spending on this. Believe me I know how frustrating it can be to figure out what is happening when you can't reproduce the problem.
On to your questions: I am running Windows XP Professional. I have checked and made sure that the extension is still .jsp and that it isn't changing. No I don't have the IDE set up to show extensions, however the icon beside the file is the jsp icon and when I go to Windows explorer (where I do have it set to show known extensions) it is a .jsp file and does not have the ever exasperating hidden extension that windows is infamous for. Sun Studio seems to recognize the file as a proper jsp (due to the icon).
As to your further questions. I am executing it by right clicking on the jsp file itself. And the jsp file is in the documents folder not in the web/inf folder.
At this point we are out of the class and it isn't nearly as important that I get an fix. We (our company) will probably not do jsp files and servlets thourgh Sun Java Studio Enterprsise. Instead we are looking at using Sun Java Studio Creater to do the view layer.

No HTML5 Video option in Insert/Media Drop down menu on DW, CS6

Just getting into wanting to try the HTML5 Video on websites I am building on my PC using CS6.
However, I downloaded the tutorial "Inspire" on how to do this, etc. by downloading the mpeg4 video files(trolly) and doing a test site while following along with tutorial. Followed to a "T".
When it came to actually clicking the Insert selection then the Media selection to drop down the following only,

Applet
Active X
Plugin
I even updated DW, restarted PC and still no final choice to add the HTML5 Video file. And I did have the Option in the New Document Dialouge Box to select HTML5 from the DOCtype menu earlier in the tutorial test I conducted and made. Think of why I don't have that option?

The edt option in the orange drop down menu is grayed out, how do I fix this?

It's the first time that I've went into the drop down menu since installing the latest FF and the edit option it grayed out, and not letting me access it.

That is normal. Does the menu open if you hover the arrow at the right of the Edit entry in the App menu?
Does the Paste link get highlighted if there is content on the clipboard and a text area is selected?
The entries in the Edit menu only work if they apply and there is something to do like text is selected and Copy will work.

I can't see the library option in the window drop down in photoshop cc

It is there. If you do not see it, then perhaps you need to upgrade. Verify that you have the latest versioning the help menu select the about Photoshop option and make sure your version is 2014.2.1

No Ethernet Adapter (en2) option in the network drop down)

Hi I am installing a Harmony 900 and need to setup a ethernet adapter (en2) in the system config-->network, however, that is not one of my options.
Any suggestions on what I need to do to get that showing in the drop down?

From the Harmony support site - here are the directions provided
To manually configure the Logitech Harmony USB drivers, follow the steps below:
Connect the Harmony remote to the computer via the USB cable and click OK
Double-click the System Preferences icon in the dock
Double-click on Network
Click the + button near the bottom left corner of the window as shown below
In the Interface drop-down, select Ethernet Adapter (en2)
In the Service Name text field type in the model number of your Harmony remote. In this example we typed Harmony 1000 as shown below.

Where is the option to see a drop down of past pages visited and go to one of those, instead of having to repeatedly click the "back" button?

In other browsers, and previous versions of firefox, there was a drop down list of previously visited pages accessed by clicking a down arrow, where is this feature?.... without it, you are forced to repeatedly click "back"....and also some pages will not allow you to retreat, so to speak..so with the ability to go back more than one page at a time, you can get out of there.....where is that option, and why is it not there?

The arrow to open the tab history of the Back and Forward buttons has been removed in Firefox 4.
Use one of these methods to open the tab history list:
* Right click on the Back or Forward button
* Hold down the left mouse button on the enabled Back or Forward button until the list opens

When I select an option from the help drop down menu it just goes away. It does not go to the help option I chose.

Create App option not available in drop-down menu

I am unable to access the "Create App..." option in the drop-down menu for the Folio Builder. All options in the drop-down menu are there except for the Create App option. Does anybody know why this is the case?

Oh, I see. Thank you for the quick response. I suspected that may be the case. So, if I may, I would like to ask you a follow-up question: how do I access the App Builder using a PC? I have managed to publish my folio in the DPS Folio Producer, but am unsure of what to do next. I have watched a few tutorials and they work with Macs and neglect to mention any difference between PC and Mac. Is there a resource that can help guide me through this process using a PC?
