Xdo Lobs Api

EBS 12.1.1
We have a number of templates installed in a variety of language setting
From XDO_LOBS
en     00
en     GB
en     US
We have implented as custom install tool which uses XDOloader to load this templates we made an assumption that the language and territory will always be en / GB this is in order to standardise the approach to this. The problem occurs when we update a template that was originally installed in en /US the install program adds en / GB which leaves two templates. Functionally this doesn't cause problem as the system seems to always pick the latest template.
I would like to update the table to change all the setting to the consistent en / GB is there a pl/sql api to do this?
Or is the approach to use xdoloader

  • JDBC and BLOB

    Hi.
    How can I tune oracle jdbc when inserting blob
    Thanks

    It depends on which driver and which version you are using. Generally it is faster to send data using the direct binds APIs such as PreparedStatement.setBytes or PreparedStatement.setString than using the LOB apis.

  • Move table to new tablespace

    How can we move table with long col to new tablespace(LMT) from DMT?

    Well, converting LONGs to LOBs is always "painful" :-)
    But it is doable, however, the solution depends upon the version of the database.
    There are several metalink notes coverting this matter:
    Note 137160.1 Oracle 9i PLSQL LONG-TO-LOB API For Easier LONG to LOB Migration
    Note 282464.1 How to convert LONG to a CLOB
    However here is one that I used recently and it needs one 10g instance as a staging site. (I don't know if this approach has been documented on Metalink. It worked for me, it might work for you as well, but you should test it first).
    My production database was 8i and it contained a table with LONG column. The requirement was to convert this column to CLOB.
    I exported the table and imported it in 10g database.
    Once in 10g I used ALTER TABLE tablename MODIFY longcolumn CLOB; which worked perfectly fine.
    Finally I exported the table with CLOB column from the 10g database and imported it back in 8i database.
    example:
    SQL> create table t
      2  (c1 long);
    Table created.
    SQL> insert into t values ('foo');
    1 row created.
    SQL> desc t
    Name                                      Null?    Type
    C1                                                 LONG
    SQL> alter table t
      2  modify c1 clob;
    Table altered.
    SQL> desc t
    Name                                      Null?    Type
    C1                                                 CLOB
    SQL> select c1 from t;
    C1
    foo
    SQL>Cheers,

  • How to slove this Clob problem

    Hi all,
    First I defined a table in oracle8i using the following code:
    create xmltab(id number primary key,xml_content clob);
    then in jdev9i ,I wrote the following code:
    try{
    Connection con=getConnection();
    PreparedStatement pstmt =
    con.prepareStatement ("insert into xmltab (id, xml_content) values (id_seq.NEXTVAL, ?)");
    //a very large String is stored in tempBuffer
    pstmt.setCharacterStream(1,new StringReader(tempBuffer.toString()),tempBuffer.toString().length());
    pstmt.execute();
    con.commit();
    pstmt.close();
    con.close();
    tempBuffer.delete(0,tempBuffer.toString().length());
    JOptionPane.showInternalMessageDialog(this.getContentPane(),"l,w",""
    ,JOptionPane.INFORMATION_MESSAGE);
    }catch(Exception e1){
    e1.printStackTrace();
    I found that the String in StringBuffer is truncated when it is commited to database.But if change the xmltab definition as:
    xmltab(id number primary key,xml_content varchar2(4000));
    the result is right,but i hope that the String length is larger than 4000 when is insert into xmltab,How can i solve this problem?
    How can i use setClob(index,Clob) when meeting the String type??

    hi langyun,
    This is an extract from Oracle9i JDBC developers guide.,
    The JDBC 2.0 specification states that PreparedStatement methods setBinaryStream() and setObject() can be used to
    input a stream value as a BLOB, and that the PreparedStatement methods setAsciiStream(), setUnicodeStream(),
    setCharacterStream(), and setObject() can be used to input a stream value as a CLOB. This bypasses the LOB locator,
    going directly to the LOB data itself.
    In the implementation of the Oracle JDBC drivers, this functionality is supported only for a configuration using an 8.1.6 and higher
    database and 8.1.6 and higher JDBC OCI driver. Do not use this functionality for any other configuration, as data
    corruption may result.
    To know how to use LOB datatypes , refer to any of the following samples.,

    I have been using this API quite sometime for now, and have not faced any issue. Please find the code below. Try giving a single \ in the path. It should work fine

    processor.process();

  • How to separate different views and parts of a single line of business(LOB) universal app for windows 8.1 with many users.

    Hello am an intermediate Windows Phone/Store Developer. Am currently in the process of implementing a LOB app that will have three different types users, an admin, a student, a teacher . Depending on how a user logs in i would like certain pages to be exposed
    to them and the rest to be hidden. The app will also store data temporally on a local db then sync regularly to an azure database(Can the recent entity framework 7 that supports store/phone apps allow code first databases or are there features still not fully
    accessible in WinRT apps)...This i believe can handle but also kindly point me out to existing implemented resources/examples i will appreciate very much.
    What am finding problematic is how to consume different app data stored by various users logged in for these different views. Will i need an asp web api is it really necessary cause i want to avoid it cause i have about three months to do it. I do not want
    to create three different apps and one ASP Web AP,  i want one single app and an api if possible, i know windows usually sandboxes apps hence app to app communication will be hard if not impossible. So my question is, is it possible to implement different
    user session management with a login (Windows Live ID) which i can abstract various parts of the app from them depending on the users login id in the app. E.g How can an admin logged in the same app as the student have access rights to certain pages in the
    app that a student will not see. How do i route different users to certain pages and can isolated storage store these persisting as a setting.
    How can i know which login id belongs to which of the three users? How do i then assign different access to different controls of the app with their id,provide custom views routes,access right,session management. I think i can do these without an ASP Web
    API is It wise? Building pages in the apps is easy but i want users to see different views of the app instead of one standard app depending on there login id, how can the NAVIGATION URI be used here. How can azure and features like active directory,azure mobile
    services. I know i have repeated the same things over and over and these might be complex for a free advise but as a windows dev these is my one stop shop. Any one with a view on how to approach these kindly show me the best directions. Thanks guys in advance.

    I suggest you have a look at this sample.
    https://code.msdn.microsoft.com/windowsapps/ListView-Interaction-ac044c3c. MainPage provides the framework to hold the content. At runtime, we create the Scenario collections and then bind to control. This approach can help you determine the type of users
    and provide some appropriate pages at runtime.

  • IP address range of Microsoft Location Services API

    Hi,
    I am developing a LOB windows 8.1 application. The windows 8 tablet device we are using needs to be locked down by IP address to the specific services that the application will use. I have not been able to find the IP address range for the Microsoft Location
    Sevices API uses (Windows.Devices.Geolocation namespace).
    Does someone know where on the MS website this sort of information is held as I can't seem to find this information anywhere?
    Thanks

    Probably you can find more information from here:
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd464636(v=vs.85).aspx
    As I understand system have a location service and when the app calls the service, the service query the location automatically.
    If you still have questions about location service, perhaps ask at desktop forum is a better choice:

  • Barcode using api

    Hi,
    I'm trying to solve problem with showing barcodes when generating html or pdf documents using api. I have function in db which generates barcodes 128b with correct start, control and stop chars, I've tested it notepad, using font AdvC128b, printed, scanned and everything is correct. The problem is obviously in word template in which I add field like <?BARCODE?> and set font for the field AdvC128b upload template to bi publisher. Using api I generate html and I do get barcode on page but it's not correct it cannot be scanned, on view source I can see that it creates page like this:
    .c0 {line-height: 27.744pt;margin-top: 0.0pt;margin-bottom: 0.0pt;margin-left: 6.35pt;margin-right: 6.049pt;}
    .c1 {font-family: 'AdvC128b';font-size: 24.0pt;color: #000000;}
    <p class="c0"><span class="c1">Ě90902qÎ </span><a name="page-total-master0" id="page-total-master0"></a><a name="page-total" id="page-total"></a></p>In pdf document I cannot see barcode I can only see Ě90902qÎ Do I need to put some fonts in my java runtime like I did put Albany fonts for special characters?
    This is quite urgent, what are my options? What needs to be done to show correct barcodes in html and pdf documents using api and word templates,

  • How to trigger xml publisher API (ex:Delivering Documents via e-Mail)?

    Dear All:
    How to use xml publisher API ?
    In user's guide always talk API's code.(ex:Delivering Documents via e-Mail
    // create delivery manager instance
    DeliveryManager dm = new DeliveryManager();
    // create a delivery request
    DeliveryRequest req =
    dm.createRequest(DeliveryManager.TYPE_SMTP_EMAIL);
    // set email subject
    req.addProperty(DeliveryPropertyDefinitions.SMTP_SUBJECT, "Invoice");
    // set SMTP server host
    req.addProperty(
    DeliveryPropertyDefinitions.SMTP_HOST, "mysmtphost");
    // set the sender email address
    req.addProperty(DeliveryPropertyDefinitions.SMTP_FROM,
    "[email protected]");
    // set the destination email address
    req.addProperty(
    DeliveryPropertyDefinitions.SMTP_TO_RECIPIENTS,
    "[email protected], [email protected]" );
    // set the content type of the email body
    req.addProperty(DeliveryPropertyDefinitions.SMTP_CONTENT_TYPE,
    "text/html");
    // set the document file name appeared in the email
    req.addProperty(DeliveryPropertyDefinitions.SMTP_CONTENT_FILENAME,
    "body.html");
    // set the document to deliver
    req.setDocument("/document/invoice.html");
    // submit the request
    req.submit();
    // close the request
    req.close(); )
    Not say how to use this code to account effect !!
    Having anybody to use API before?
    Please tell me how to use that,thanks!!

    This is the class for a JCP I created to perform the following:
    1) Launch an existing Concurrent Program that produces PDF output
    2) Grab the PDF and apply a watermark based on user input or conditions
    3) associate the modified PDF to CP output for PASTA printing
    It isn't elegant but it is fairly simple. I added the email capability and tested it but am not implementing it at the present time.
    there is a fair amount of information out there that explains how to create a JCP councurrent program but very little that demonstrates the class needed.
    I hope this helps
