XHTML Mobile Using DW-8 & DW-CS3

My first posting, hope I'm doing this right!
According to Adobe Customer Service, DW-CS3 is required if
one wishes to develop a mobile web site (Using XHTML Mobile 1.0).
Dreamweaver 8 also has a setting for XHTML Mobile 1.0. Since
I’m not a professional developer, and attempting to learn as
I go; what’s the difference between XHTML Mobile 1.0 using
DW-8 and DW CS3?
Other than all the extras that come with the CS3 up-grade,
will DW-8 do as good a job as CS3 if used for WAP/PDA development?
Other than selecting “New” on the file menu, and
“XHTML Mobile 1.0” in the “New Document”
window; are there any other settings/configurations to make to
insure that when opened, all succeeding new blank documents/pages
are automatically sets to XHTML Mobile 1.0?

Fireworks CS4 is currently having a lot of issues. So you may
need to have a
"backup" plan until a fix comes out.
Dreamweaver CS4 can be quite lacking in performance unless
you have a souped
up computer.

I am programming in the J2SE environment and using Avetana bluetooth SDK which implements JSR-82. I have the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack.
I can connect to my mobile using the following code but I don't know how to send a file. This code sends some data but the mobile does not acknowledge it.

Don't worry about this - With a little bit of reverse engineering, I figured it out. If anyone else is having the same trouble, then reply to this thread and I'll see if I can help. If anyone also knows how to send an sms message via a bluetooth connection from a pc to a mobile phone using avetana, then that would be great.

The situation is like this.
We are transfering the JAR file from the PC to the Mobile using Bluetooth.
Our J2ME project is already install on Nokia's 6600 and given to the salesman's on the field. Now i have updated my software and i want to upgrade the same on their mobiles. For this i can't call all the 2000 salesman's who are all over the country (India) to my place to get the latest software installed and configure.
If i have a GPRS like solution for transfering my file from my PC to the remote mobile. I would be better. If you know any this related to this kindly reply me.

you can mix as1 and as2 in an swf created in flash cs3 or you
can use as3 in a swf created in flash cs3. but you cannot mix as3
with either of the other two languages.
use the publish settings to choose which language you want to

If you had looked at data dashboard and some of the other links on Android, you would see that you cannot run a LabVIEW app on Android. Nor can you use a serial port. With Data Dashboard, you have a pc running LabVIEW and it publishes to network shared variables. Data Dashboard on the Android allows you to view those variables.

im new to j2ME and i need help on how to display an image on mobile using canvas. I've tried using the following codes.. however when i tried to run on my toolkit, i hit this error:

Running CLDC applications in Mindows Mobile using sun-java-cldc-emu.cab

How to run CLDC applications in Windows Mobile using sun-java-cldc-emu.cab present in Java Me Platform SDK 3.0. I read the 'Java ME Platform SDK and windows mobile integration.pdf' before installing the cab. But after installing the cab the jar or jad files aren't getting associated with the JVM. When I click the jar it says 'there is no application associated with "filename". Run the application first, then open this application from within the application.' I can't find any option to open the jar file from within the Sun Java CLDC Emulator application.
I'm using Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional Images.
Is it possible to run this JVM like IBM J9 and CrEme? Is it actually a JVM??

Threre are many JSR's to give extensive support for developers, however, it is phone manufactures would impl. JVM/spec support on their devices. This is similar to JVM api for desktop, one can't extended the JVM features which take native os support, even if they do one machine.. others using it will not be able run your application as these systems relay upon standard jvm from Sun.
Wish you good luck.. if you are building the entire phone stack..

How to use CS4 extention on CS3?

Is there any way we can use these extension for CS3 or they are designed only for CS4?
If they are designed only for CS4 wht should a person do who has already bought CS3?
Extension like Lightbox, Thickbox, Flash Gallery etc

Some extensions can be installed in previous versions. If you've tried to install them and you can't install them (getting a message that CS4 or higher is required or similar message), then you can't install them into CS3. Of course upgrading is an option, but if that's not good for you for whatever reason, then what you can do is to add the code to your page/site manually rather than via the extension. Some extensions are based upon open source JavaScript libraries and have downloads with instructions. I'm sure that Lightbox and Thickbox are available in that way, just search for them on Google.

For secured web services, the user credentials are dynamically injected using ADF Mobile uses Oracle Web Services Manager (OWSM) Lite Mobile ADF Application Agent to create and configure proxies, as well as to request services through the proxies. The user credentials are injected into the OWSM enforcement context when proxies are configured.
I am new with this OWSM, can anyone please give me some hints like how to proceed further for implementing authentication using OWSM lite mobile ADF Application Agent??

The demo is very useful, and in that Shay describes about the remote login using a regular ADF webapplication as a secured one and deploying it into the server. But I would like to know how to create a local login using OWSM client agent? .
Without creating a regular ADF webapplication, how can i call secured webservices(i.e., by using OWSM client agent how to create and configure proxies to call secured webservice, where the user credentials are injected into webservice request by OWSM client as mentioned in ADF mobile document)??

I am currently running Adobe CS3 on a Macintosh computer / OS. Is it possible to back-save Adobe CC / CS6 InDesign files for use in Adobe InDesign CS3?

@kc.k – You will need InDesign CS4 for that.
CS4 is the only version, that can export/import both IDML and INX exchange formats.
And you need an exported INX file (from InDesign CS4) that can open your exported IDML file from CS6, CC or CC-2014.
Since you are still running CS3 I'd suggest you downloading a 30days version of CS4 and do the conversion:

Instead of using http, you are better off writing a command line script (that
uses bash or cmd.exe or whatever) that does this and then call that script using
app.system.
The code is much simpler and far easier to test and debug.

Macbook air or iPad air for mobile use with iMac at home

Ok i have a 2012 21 imac and i love this machine. I also have a 2013 13 macbook air for mobil use at work and in class. I am considering though selling the Macbook air and strictly getting an iPad air for my mobile computing needs. I already always use iCloud for all my doc and i don't do anything beyond taking notes for class, web browsing, email, iMessage and occasionally remote desktop support support for things at work on my macbook air. I believe an iPad air could fill all those needs and with something like the clam case pro for the iPad air when it comes out would be perfect for my desire to always type on a real keyboard instead of a virtual one. but I'm still a little unsure. Ive had a laptop and a desktop since 2005 so I'm a little apprehensive to ditch the laptop in favor of a tablet.
What are everyones thoughts and advice?

Personally, the iPad is NOT a very good laptop replacement and you are getting a much more limited mobile OS.
If you already have a MacBook Air, it is a more capable mobile device and has the instant on capability as an iPad.
With your MacBook Air, you get the full OS X operating experience, also.
Plus, iPads do not have a bulit-in keyboard and trackpad and doesn't have all of the ports and connections your MacBook Air has.
Plus, your MacBook Air has a bigger screen, more RAM and more hard drive storage than an iPad.
An iPad is a downgrade from your MacBook Air.
Why would you even consider a downgrade to an iPad from a much more capable MacBook Air.
Stick with your MacBook Air. It is head and shoulders much better mobile Apple device than iPad.
