XI Adapter inbound (Configuration)

Question

Hi,
  I have followed the steps given here:

But i am unable to post a message to the backend system via an inbound ABAP proxy.
Can you please let me know what should I populate in each of the adapter specific parameters?

Sorry for not providing enough details.
Here is an excerpt of SXMB_MONI error msg:

@Michal: I do not see any field to give in the HTTP Destination.
I have chosen the addressing type as URL.
target host as the host name for the backend system.
service number: HTTP POrt for backend system.
path: /sap/xi/engine?type=entry   : Is this correct?
Authentication Data:
Username and pwd have been provided
the correct client number is given.
My only doubt is whether I have given the PATH correctly.
Or am I missing something very basic here?
