XI messages groups and messages segmented

Hi experts !!
I have a scenario between SAP XI and IBM MQ 6.0.
I need to send message groups and segmented through JMS Adapter.
I need also receive message groups and segmented.
In summarize, I need to send a only one logical message in several physical messages. For this case must be setted JMSXGroupId and JMSXGroupSeq.
can this be implemented in XI JMS Adapter ?
How this must be configured to receive messages from MQ ?
How messages must be cutted to send to MQ in several messages ?
Thanks.

For collecting the message parts from JMS you have to use BPM.
Regards
Stefan
Hi, sorry for replying to a really old thread...
But is this still the case, that you need BPM to handle JMSXGroupId and JMSXGroupSeq to rebuild a grouped message, when reading from MQ queue?
We are currently on version 7.11, and are upgrading to 7.4 this summer (without BPM-capabilities, no PO)
Is there any other way to handle this today?
regards
Magnus

    Hi,
You can goto tcode SAAB and activate the log for Checkpoint group BSP_WD_EXCEPTION_DISPLAY. whenever you log into Web UI you can see the details of the message.
To troubleshoot teh message goto SE91 and enter the message class and message number. Select the message and then click on whereused. You will see all programs where this message is used.

  • Write message to Job log with message class and message number

    hi folk,
When running a background job I'm able to write a message to the job log using the statement - Message "some text..." type 'I'.
In the Job log I can see the message "some text.." with a "default" message class and message number (but in my report i don't specify any message ID) so I have no idea it comes from.
Then I try to send a message where I specify the message class/number etc...using message id 'Z1' number 000 with "some text..." In the job log I now can see the "right" message class "Z1" and the number 000, but the message is empty?
Please advice how to write a message with the message class and message number.
    Best regards

    Hi Linh,
How did you provide the text "Some message"? Did you hard code it or used a text element?

  • CRM Target Groups and Product Segments - BW and BPS settings

    Hi gurus,
I have some questions regarding the CRM Target Groups and Product Segments as it relates to BW and BPS planning layouts.
    1. When a target group is created in CRM, is it supposed to also be create master data entry for the object 0TGGRP_ID in BW? If it is, what kind of settings need to be made to ensure that? When we create target groups in our CRM instance, we donu2019t see the master data being updated for the  0TGGRP_ID info object.
    2. Where exactly (in BW) is the relationship between the target group and the underlying customer/business partners  stored/updated? We have a requirement to use target groups for defining the trade promotions and still being able to explode and plan on (individual) customers in the embedded BPS Planning layout. I believe that we need to have target group and associated customer assignments stored somewhere (?) in BW and use BPS characteristic relationships to populate all the possible combinations for a target group ID being passed from CRM. Am I correct in my assumptions? Any ideas if SAP has already delivered something similar in the BPS business content for TPM?
    3. We are planning to use product segments to define the trade promotions as well. I believe BW info object is 0CP_SEGMENT. Similar to what I mentioned in Question 1, I donu2019t see any master data being updated for 0CP_SEGMENT. Am I looking at a wrong BW object or missing some key settings?
    4. Where is the relationship between a Product Segment and the associated products stored/updated in BW?  How do I create a trade promotion using a product segment and make the BPS planning layout populate individual products in the lead column?
    Thank you for your help

    Hi Anna,
After reading your post, what i understand is that there is no existing relationship present in CRM system between the Org BP and the contact person BP.
As per my Knowledge in order to create a Target group with Contact Persons you should have an active relationship persent in the CRM system bewteen the BP and the Contact person. Now as your sceanrio suggests that the Contact person's are present in the BW system but not in CRM, i would assume that the relationship also exsits in the BW . So if it does then your BW team should be able to help you in creating the necessary infocube with there analytical tools and you can then use there cube as the datasource and create the necessary Target Group with Contact persons.
Comming to the second part of your question, your guess is absolutely right but to give you more detailed infomation , the BP ID is converted in a unique GUID and this is passed into the program to retrive the necessary information from the BP after the campaign is executed.
    Hope this helps!!

  • Messages Current and Messages pending in JMS

    Hello All,
I would like to know the difference between Messages Current and Messages Pending in the JMS monitoring tab.
I did read the official documentation but to be honest I am not sure I am undestanding it right !
Could someone explain to me (in simple terms :-) the difference between the two ?
    Many thanks.

    Hi,
Can you please tell me what fields in the Message Header indicate about the source and/ or target systems? For example the Directory header parameter, of Sender FILE channel, tells me from where the file was picked up.
Likewise what does the field JMSDestination stands for?
The screenshot which I have shows the JMS Message Header Details (the ASMA characters).
Tried searching for fields like JMSDestination, but there is no information on SDN abou it.
    Thank you,
    Pankaj.

  • IDOC message type and message code and function?

    Hai...
anyone can explain with example what is IDOC message type and message code and function? how it is used?
    regards,
    prabakaran

    Hi
An IDoc type can be implemented for various "logical" messages; one message can also be assigned to different IDoc types (m:n relationship).
The message is defined by the values for message type (required), message code (optional) and message function (optional). These three fields belong to the key fields in the partner profiles, which are used, for example, to determine inbound processing. If the 'Message type' field is not maintained (e.g. in the case of a control record from Release 2.1, in which MESTYP did not exist), the IDoc Interface uses the value from STDMES (EDI message type).
If possible, the descriptions of the message type should be linked to the corresponding EDI message type.
The message ORDERS (= message type) identifies purchase orders (outbound) and sales orders (inbound).
Message code or Process Code for Inbound Processing
Code which identifies a process type.
The process type determines which process is used to convert an IDoc to an SAP document.
    Process code for outbound processing
Code which identifies the type of data which is to be sent via the IDoc interface.
Using the process code, the IDoc interface finds the application selection module which converts the SAP document into an IDoc.
The process code is only used with applications which perform outbound processing via Message Control (NAST).
    Thanks & Regards

  • Need of datatype, message type and message interface

    hai
    can any one tell me..
why we need three level heirarchy for a message in XI
    regards,
    Madhav

    Hi Madhav,
let us recall them by their name and identify their roll.
Data type : suppose that you want to form a message but that comprises of  many different types of data . as in numeric, string, characters. So at bottom you will have to define datatype.
Message Type: having defined data type now you want to form a meaningful message and that message can be formed by combining many such different data types in to one message type.
Message interface : No you have created message type but now that you want to use it some where, then you will have to interface it. So you will hace to define a message interface.

  • Groups and Message History

    Hello all.
Is there a way to separate individual users into groups, so user A cannot add user B on Oracle Messenger?
Another question: message history (Messenger) is stored locally on client machines. Is there a way to store it on the server, so I can see my message history from any client I connect?
    Thanks in advance.

This is typically caused by the device having a low amount (or none at all) of memory. When the memory gets lower (lower than 12MB in some cases, although there is not a set number) the device will start deleting messages and/or call logs to conserve memory. You can check your available memory by going to Options > Status and checking the File Free parameter.
The quickest way to free up some memory is to perform a hard reset. Remove the battery from the device (while it is still powered on) for about 30 seconds, then reinsert. Also, look at the links below for ways to maximize the memory:

I'm on the lookout for both of these programs for my N73. Had them on my N70, but they're not compatible with new S60. By message storer, I mean to store my inbox to a .txt file which I can view easily on my computer.
Searched and searched for both of these, but can't find any, hope somebody else has...

Well, you will have to bear the fact that N70 and N73 doesnt use the same softwares at all. You will get on if someone works on the software or the previous developer makes a version for the N73. Be patient and keep searching on the net

  • Anchor, Message & Message Group Components - Threadinar8

    Hi All,
This is the eighth in the Threadinar series. See the Components Threadinar Index at http://forum.sun.com/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=103424 for the complete list to date.
This Threadinar will discuss the last 3 remaining components in the "Basic Components" section of the Creator Component Catalog.
We will start discussion of the "Components Palette: Layout Section" from the next Threadinar.
The components we will focus on today are
"Anchor", "Message" and "Message Group" Components.
Let us begin our discussion with the "Anchor" Component.
    [b]Anchor Component
You can drag an Anchor Component from the Palette's Basic category to the Visual Designer to create a named anchor in your page. The HTML equivalent of this component is <a name=targetname></a>. The name of the anchor component, set in its id property, is the target name.
For example, you drop an anchor at the bottom of a page and see that its name is anchor1. You then add a hyperlink to the top of the page and set the hyperlink's url property to #anchor1 to link it to the anchor.
Drop the anchor on the page at the location to which you want the page to scroll when the user clicks a link to the anchor. You can also drag the anchor to another location on the page.
If you want to link to an anchor in another page, use a hyperlink component and set its url property by using the property editor to navigate to the anchor. For example, if the page is named Page2.jsp and the anchor on that page is named anchor1, the resulting value of the hyperlink's url property is faces/Page2.jsp#anchor1.
    [b]Message Component
    What Is a Message Component?
A message component is the primary way to notify users of errors during page processing. The IDE has two message components on the Basic section of the Components Palette:
    * Message. Displays a message associated with a specific component. A component that is likely to produce an error message, such as an input component with an associated validator or converter, needs to have a Message component.
    How Do I Use It?
You can drag the Message component inline message icon from the Palette's Basic category to the Visual Designer to create a message related to a single component. The two message components, Message and Message Group, display error messages for component rendering and validation. Message displays error messages for a specific component.
    * Dragging a message component from the palette to the page results in a message item with the summary property set to true and the detail property set to false.
    * You can press Ctrl-Shift and drag the Message component to another component to link the for property to the other component and display messages for that component.
    * Messages are automatically shown as the result of a validation or other component related error.
You can send your own error text to a Message component by calling the corresponding Java object's info, error, fatal, or warn method. The component displays an appropriate icon for the type of method called.
You can also write your own input validation methods, which can write text to the Message component by throwing ValidatorException(new FacesMessage (String)). If you do not want to throw an exception, you can have the validation method call the Java object's info, error, fatal, or warn method instead.
Important Properties Of A Message Component
         Appearance Related
         * showDetail. Type: boolean
Indicates if the detail portion of the message should be displayed. This property is false (unselected) by default.
         * showSummary. Type: boolean
Indicates if the summary portion of the message should be displayed. This property is true (selected) by default.
         Behavior
         * for. Type: String
The component for which the message component displays messages. To set this property, you can hold down the Ctrl-Shift keys and drag the message component to the component for which it is to display messages. Alternatively, you can click the drop-down list next to the property and choose a component.
    [b]Message Group Component
What Is a Message Group Component?
Message Group. Displays page-level or global messages. You can use a Message Group component to assist with debugging as you are developing the page.
    How Do I Use It?
You can drag the Message Group component from the Palette's Basic category to the Visual Designer to create a list of global messages for a page, such as system runtime errors, or a list of messages related to components. To show individual component errors, such as validation and conversion errors, deselect the showGlobalOnly property in the Message Group Properties Window.
The two message components, Message Group and Message, display error messages concerning component rendering and validation.
    * This component, Message Group, reports either global errors only or all errors on all components on the page, including errors with the page itself. You can put a Message Group component on your page to assist with debugging as you are developing the page.
    * The Message component reports errors for a single component. Use Message if you want to provide your users with messages related to a specific component, like validation errors when they enter invalid data in a field. Message Group also reports validation errors, but it reports them for all components, not just one.
You can send your own error text to a Message Group component by calling the corresponding Java object's info, error, fatal, or warn method. The component displays an appropriate icon for the type of method called.
You can also write your own input validation methods, which can write text to the Message Group component by throwing ValidatorException(new FacesMessage (String)). If you do not want to throw an exception, you can have the validation method call the Java object's info, error, fatal, or warn method instead.
Important Properties Of A Message Component
         Appearance
         * showDetail. Type: boolean
Indicates if the detail portion of the message should be displayed. This property is false (unselected) by default.
         * showSummary. Type: boolean
Indicates if the summary portion of the message should be displayed. This property is true (selected) by default.
         Behavior
         * showGlobalOnly. Type: boolean
Indicates if global messages, messages not associated with any component, are the only messages to be displayed. By default, this property is false (not selected), and all messages from all components on the page are displayed.
         * tooltip. Type: String
Information about the component that is readable by a screen reader and can be displayed as a tool tip.
[b]For more details on Using these Components

Please share your comments, experiences, additional information, questions, feedback, etc. on these components.

To write both a summary message and a detail message to the Message Group component, use code like the following statement. The first argument is the summary message and the second argument is the detail message.
    FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addMessage(
null, new FacesMessage("Summary Message", "Detail Message"));I try to add a Message Group component to every page. This helps me figure out problems, especially when it appears that an action component (Button, Radio Button, Hyperlink, and so forth) is not working.

  • Message Mapping And Interface Mapping

    Hi,
    I have 2 software components.
One is for sender and one is for receiver.I have created all the Data types,Message type and Message Interface fro sender in the first Software component and data types ,message type ,message interface for the receiver in the second software component .
Now, in which Software component should i create Message Mapping and Interface Mapping?
    Thanks in Advance,
    mvk

    Hi,
You could use the created Message type and Message interfaces in Sender as well as receiver software components for creating message mapping, interface mapping and integration scenario.
Generally it makes sense to maintain the message mapping, interface mapping and integration scenario in receiver software component. The message mapping and Integration scenario is specifically based on the receiver end requirments, so its preffered on receiver software component.
The sender side details could be reusable in case if you need those for another new receiver software component. If you maintain it in sender component, then that will lead to mix-up all the things on sender side even though its based on receiver end.
I think this could help you.

  • Web services and message ordering

i am a newbie to Rest services and camel. please help me. message(xml)will be sent from services at endpoint 1 to services exposed @ endpoint 2. i am not going to use queue or anything in between. but i want message ordering for few instances. so how is it possible. is there any option available. thanks

    thanks for the response.
I dont wait for response 1 before sending request 2 and thats why am asking qn on how to preserve order. communication is not synchronous. i send multiple messages to different threads and i will not know the order across the whole message stream as each thread will process messages concurrently.
For example i will be sending message 1 and message 2 which should go in order. For some reason if message 2 goes before message 1 my whole requirement will fail. if i use queue in between i can preserve the order but am not going to use queue. so is there anything i can do to ensure that message 1 goes before message 2?
