XI Post Installation....Need help...

Hi,
I am new to XI and I am installing XI on a Windows 2000 server. I am done with the installation part....(web as ABAP+Java add in + newtweaver XI Component)....Now I am in the post install configuration steps....
My question is that...when I did the install of WEB AS ABAP...I did a local client copy and created client 100 (UCSV Profile)....now I am not sure why I had to create this client 100? Can some one tell me what is the use of this client 100.
Second question is that for the post installation configuration, should I create all the RFC's and SLD Configuration etc in Client 000 or should I do all this post installation configuration in client 100?...
Please help me.....

Today I successfully started XI IB. I had two troubles and solutions as follows:
1. In our Co, we have a proxy server, so after installing j2sdk142, I need change the settings of java web start. Open Java WS directly then click cancel until the log in window disappears. Change the proxy settings to what you need.
2. Please assign all the needed roles for XI into your user account. Even if you are an user with the profile of SAP_ALL, you need add the needed roles into your account.

Demantra 7.3 Installation-Need Help

Dear Demantra Guru's,
Installed demantra demand planning 7.3.1 standalone without any integration's.So when i open any work sheet,there is no data.
Not able to view any data.How can i import data into demantra,so that i can see some data in worksheets.Oracle suggested doc id 1444437.1

Hi Madhav,
The t_src_item_tmpl, t_src_loc_tmpl, t_src_sales_tmpl are staging tables in Demantra. You need to populate these staging tables with the data in the files that you have downloaded from metalink. Once the data is present in the staging tables, you need to run EP_LOAD_MAIN procedure (or the individual EP_LOADs available for items, location, levels etc. ) that validates the data and moves it to the core Demantra tables. You should then be able to see useful data in the worksheets.

Is it just me..or lots of unanswered posts? need help with sync/restore...

nearly lost everything off my iPhone, due to a computer problem which holds primary iTunes library...I believe I'm finally having success right now in restoring.....
But just in case......
my question is whether I can connect my iPhone to a second computer which has a separate library, and let it back up in iTunes on that computer......
if I do this routinely, and if the primary computer dies on me, I'd still have the option to restore from computer#2,,,, correct? and not lose all my current data on the iPhone...... correct?

From your post it would seem that your iTunes Library files (or rather backups of them) are on your external drives. This is the most important thing from the point of preserving your library if you should need to rebuild the computer. What is not so clear is if the files that iTunes opens each time you use it are the ones on the external drive or a set of internal copies. One way of checking is to run the script iTunesXMLPath which tells you which .xml file iTunes is updating, and therefore the folder containing the other active library files. If this folder is the parent folder of the *iTunes Media* folder, (See *Edit > Preferences > Advanced* tab) then the library is portable and can survive being moved or having the drive letter changed.
If you are currently using the "internal" copy of the library files then, having updated the copy on your primary "external" drive, you can switch the active library by clicking on the icon to start iTunes and immediately pressing & holding down the shift key until asked to *Create or choose a library*. Click choose and navigate to the folder on the external drive. Check everything works properly.
SyncToy would be ideal for you to manage keeping the two external copies of the library updated. The first time you run it a wizard navigates you through the task of choosing two folders to pair up. It can be used for any general folder mirroring backup so you can easily create other folder pairs to take care of your downloads, documents, email stores etc.
Once you've confirmed that your library is running from the external drive then you can rebuild your Windows installation, install iTunes and use the SHIFT-start-iTunes method to open the library on the external.
What virus do you think you have? If it's one of those "Your computer is infested with 123 different suspect files, click here to give us some money to clean it for you!" types then http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix may be a good place to start, assuming of course that the URL-redirection element of the virus lets you get to the correct site.

Check the authorizations assigned to the user which you used in the RFC destinations, If there is no enough authorizations then it is not possible to post the idocs.

MiniWAS620 Installation-Need help

Hi All,
I had installed Netweaver640 from SAP successfully and then I bought a book and got WAS620 CD's. To install this I learnt that I need to delete SAPDB folder. System was not allowing to delete. So I reinstalled my XP OS. Now I could install all three CD's of WAS620. I have following 2 questions.
1. While installing I got a pop up message saying my registry is corrupted. Visit regerror.com to fix it. How do I know what's wrong with my registry.
2. After Installation I see a Icon on my desktop .START SAP ABAP ENGINE and DB START and DB STOP in the program files menu.
When i click on start Abap Engine i get a command prompt window and I see lot of lines coming up. then after some time the window closes. The Messages are like

Oh sorry about that you didn't need to delete your OS just manually clean up the registry.

Lost Disc 2 of OSX 10.5 to finish installation, need help

Hi,
I have a Mac that has bee sitting in my room for a few about a year, I decided to see if it still runs and give it to my daughter. I turned it own and nothing showed up as a hard drive except that a disc was left installed on the computer. I finally got it out and tried to install it. The first disc went well and then it asked for disc 2. I don't have disc 2. I found a single disc of Snow Leopard or Lion and tried to install that, but when I try to install it, the only option it gives me is to install it on the first disc of 10.5, no hard drive.
So how to I get it to let me see the hard drive to install it on? Is there a way to wipe the drive of the attempt of installing 10.5 so I can install the next operating version that I have the disc's for?

Hi,
Thats what I thought. I did that and nothing happened different, it said it is loading it all up and when finished went back to installer mode. I got the wifi working and downloaded all the updates it said it needed but it wouldn't load them on to run them. I am learning alot but not really making progress. I was thinking of running the two machines in Target mode. I have all the latest OSX on my own machine and the other one has nothing installed it said, is it possible for me to dump this operating system onto the other one. If this was your machine what would you do. The closet place that does mac repairs is about 100 miles away.

PHP disaster with entropy installation need help with file location

I have a mac mini snow leopard server running 10.6.5 ,and I was trying to resolve a mcrypt module issue so that I could install wordpress and magento on some of our sites.After doing what I thought was extensive research, I decided to download the entropy php 5.30-3pkg from Marc Liyanage since it was already compiled and had an automatic install.I had the xcode tools installed and was going to attempt to compile it myself,but did not quite understand the instructions on Michael Gracie's site.When I installed the entropy package it told me that i needed to first disable the existing module,and I attempted to uncheck the php5 module,with no luck,as every time I tried to save it it rechecked itself,which I later discovered was happening because of dependency issues, as I had the mail,wiki,etc services on the sites checked. So my problem is that I wasn't aware at the time of the dependency issue,and I just renamed the module and the file name by putting a # in front of both (Inside the server admin dialog box through the pop up window).I didn't think it would hurt since is was going to be disabled,but now i get blank pages when trying to connect,and can't even see a test.php file, nor can I even locate where they say:
software is supposed to be installed into a new directory /usr/local/php5 on my boot volume. If you ever want to get rid of the package, you only have to remove this directory and a symbolic link called +entropy-php.conf in either /etc/apache2/sites or /etc/apache2/other, depending on whether you run OS X Client or Server.
Any help would be appreciated !

using this i changed the code and made it this instead which works 100%
set download to text returned of (display dialog "Enter IGN" default answer "" buttons {"Download", "Cancel"} default button 1)
set the destination to (choose folder)
do shell script "curl -L http://minecraft.net/skin/" & download & ".png" & " -o " & quoted form of ((POSIX path of the destination) & download & ".png")
so i used the input name again with download and added a .png for the extention and now it downloads the file to the locaiton i specify with the name of the user im entering with the correct exention, 100% awesome ^^

Unable to Post Depriciation-Need Help-URGENT

Hi,
I have created a new Depreciation Account 400500 with Cost Element.
We are using Cost Accounting Depeiciation Area in Asset Accounting.
When I run AFAB it is giving me error that mentioned below.
I checked the Asste master of all the assets, Cost Centers are already assigned. Can anyone help me what else need to be done to fix this issue.

Windows Installer--NEED HELP BAD!!!

I am getting this message: The Windows Installer service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in a safe mode or of the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. How do i change it from out a safe mode or know if it's correctly installed?

I had the same problem. Apple support was no help. Go to the Microsoft Windows website and type in "error 1719" at the search bar. It will come up with two fix methods. Do the first one and if that doesn't work, do the 2nd one as well. I kept getting messages that my windows installer could not be located or I was operating in safe mode. This method fixed my problem and I was able to remove itunes and then install 7.0 successfully. It's very frustrating but if your operating on a microsoft platform, Apple will be no help.

POST errors need help

Can any one tell me what the POST error of 2 beeps pause 1 beep is realted to? The system begins to boot flashes video, video shuts off, cmos info flashes shuts off and give post error.

Use just one stick of RAM in a green slot. Reset the Bios and be sure the machine is not pluged in when you do those things.
Remove all unneeded hardware so that you don't have stuff in the box when you try to boot that is not needed to post.
Find out which Bios you have when the screen first comes up.
You need to know which CPU core you have. If it is a Clwhammer, Newcastle or Winchester then you need Bios version 3.3 If it is a San Diego, Venice or X2 then you need Bios version 9.1.
Now that you have a system with the correct Bios you can then install your RAM in slots 2 and 4. You should then get a post into dual channel mode.
Set in Bios first - Optimized Defaults. Make sure that you do not skip this step.
Now setup the Bios to match the gear in the box. No overclockinmg as yet.
Now get Windows cleanly installed with any drivers you may need.
Now you are ready to install those other items you have in your hot little hands. One at a time.

Earlier Post - still need help please!

Earlier I said I was getting the message (The document “7/11Diverticulitis.pdf” could not be opened. Acrobat cannot open files in the “Adobe PDF document” format). Several people made suggestions. I tried all of them. #1 I renamed the files and tried. #2 I made sure I selected acrobat 9 as the application I wanted to use while opening a document. #3 I tried to delete and reinstall. I cannot install it for some reason the process does not auto install from my CD? Now what, I have already dumped my prior Adobe Acrobat 9 pro into the trash and emptied it! I am so confused. I use alot of pdf files as I have gone paperless. Before I created and read them with ease. Why would this happen just because I upgraded to a new computer. Again I am on OSXversion 10.6.8 Thanks for anything you can do to help!!

You may have to start the computer from the Installer boot disc and choose
from the menu options (not reinstall, again) to reset the Admin password.
It could be the same one you had before, if you like.
Did you do an Archive and Install -or- an Erase and Install?
How full is the hard disk drive? After it seems OK for awhile
you may decide if anything of value is in the old system and
if not, you could delete it. You may have to start up in SafeBoot
and run the built-in Disk Utility's "repair disk permissions" and
restart; there are some things other things you can do to help it.
Hard saying why the computer acted up. If the drive is getting
more than 70% full, you should be looking to archive files off
the machine's hard disk drive and then reduce its load.
How long have you had this computer, and what is its configuration?
PS: it would have been nice if you could have started a new
thread earlier on and kept the topic of your computer in there.
I see an earlier thread where the error message was a launchd
message, and that may have been helpful to know all the story.

Oracle BI Publisher installation - need help asap

Hi,
I have a laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium with service pack 1 and Mircosoft office word 2007. I have to write template layout for ORACLE Report. I went to OTN website and installed ORACLE BI Publisher DeskTop - bipublisher_desktop_windows_x86_101333_disk1. It is installed in my machine. When I open my Microsoft office word 2007 I could not see the new menu ORACLE BI Publisher. I tried to install Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework. I get a message saying that it is installed as part of an operating system. I could not find Microsoft .NET 2.0 in control panel - programs. I found a document saying that a new menu will appear and I have to add template builder tool bar as view->toolbar- >template builder once when oracle bi publisher desktop 5.6.3 is installed and if I have Microsoft .net 2.0 framework installed in my computer. I could not find toolbar under view in word 2007. Can any one please hlep me asap. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much for your reply. I went to Menu, word options , add-ins and found that TBcrosstab.dot and wordanalyizer.dot was active. I I could not find templatebuilder....dot, In my all porgrams I can find Template builder for Word. How can I have ORacle BI Publisher appear in the tool bar in Word 2007?

We are getting ready to start our dev into PP CC. We know that there are real issues trading audio with the audio post teams, working in Pro Tools. Since PP CC is new to us, I (the Audio Post Manager) is trying to get a handle on what the issues are and how the overall community is coping...advise anyone?

Audio: Pro Tools 11.2.1

FCP 6 won't open after Leopard 10.5.4 installation, Need Help!

I just installed Leopard 10.5.4 on my macbook pro, then launched FCP6 and FCP6 keeps crashing.
It says "The application Final Cut Pro quit unexpectedly".
Can someone help me out please.

R.Miller...I have two machines running Leopard. When I used FCP Rescue 6 on them, I'd press trash, and nothing would happen. NO sound, no notice that it was done, and the prefs were still where they were. Nothing was reset. I tried to contact Mr. Holck (the author) and was told that there was no support for FCP Rescue under Leopard. The fact that you have it working is cool. But for a lot of people it doesn't. Sporatic.

For the 3rd post I need help..

Ok so I realized I was posting on a no fb account for some reason.. Basically my story goes like this , I've started selling on eBay again. I recently got a very new buyer Contacting me every 10 min asking me questions after purchasing an item such as what is the condition does it work etc.. He then paid 3 days later he has 0 fb.. He asked me 1 day after he will get the item I explained he will get it in the mail box .. He said what if I'm not home I said no the key mailbox that everyone shares the brown one with the slots.. It took me about a day of messaging back and forth how it works.. The next day he says he lives in the basement of a house and there renting .. I ask if he has access to the mailbox we talk about ... Nop he doesn't... So I tell him to ask the owner . For the key It's been 7 days now ( 5 business days) he said he checked the box and it has not arrived.. He lives 2 hours from me So I'm assuming it was there a day after I shipped maybe 2. Does anyone know what happens if mail stays in the big slot of the mailbox for more than a few days is it returned to the owner? I ask this because there are so many people getting mail now and there are only 2 big slots for a whole street! I really don't want to light 30$ on fire because this guy had no clue what he was doing.

Did you use a tracked service like Regular Parcel on this $30 item?If so, when the item is delivered the postie will mark it delivered.After that, the twit is on his own.Give him the tracking number and the Canada Post website (canadapost.ca) so he can see for himself. If not, he will have to talk to his upstairs neighbour, who I presume picks up and passes on all his mail, and let them know he is expecting a parcel. Let him know what the package looks like (kraft envelope/ white paper/ PO box/ poly envelope). Oh and add him to your Blocked Bidder List. Too much drama.

Working with a fresh installation, need help...

So my MacBook pro is running some pro software such as Adobe's creative web suite and VMWare's Fusion, and I have been experiencing poor performance issues since these were installed. I've been recommended by a Genius to re-install fresh.
Thanks to MobileMe, I can keep pretty much everything without having to do anything manually. Though I'm left wondering how I will restore all of my music and photos? Do they sync through MobileMe? Is there a way to restore just photos and music from Time Machine?

You can easily back up your iPhoto and iTunes library. In your Pictures directory, just back up the iPhoto Library.
In the Music directory, simply copy the entire iTunes folder.
If you are using Time Machine, then you should be covered. If not, then they are very easy to back up to any external media. To Restore them after a clean install of Snow Leopard, just buy copying them back into their original, respective directories.
