XL Reporter is removed in 8.8

Hi everyone!
XL Reporter is removed from 8.8. So what happen to all current XL reports our company have after upgrading? Will they be accessible through crystal reports? Or do we have install XP reporter as an Add On?

Hi,
It is not removed. it is available in the addon administration under addons module.
Set it as manual or automatic in the add-on admin --> compnay preferences --> default group .
Check also in the addon manager --> pending addons. If it is available --> click button install. It will install the XL reporter.
the XL reporter is set to not connect automatically in B1 8.8 to avoid slow performance in the user PC or SBO server when open SBO client application.

OAS 10G Forms and Reports Forms - Removing old sessions

I am currently running Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.0.2 Forms and Reports Services Install.The problem that I am experiencing is that some users don't log out of our application and after 8 hours of inactivity our DB logs the users out of Oracle. This leaves forms sessions attached to the application server. Is there a way that I can remove these connections without having to manually log into Enterprise manager and disconnect them? I was hoping to be able to run a script at night and disconnect all sessions that have been connected for x number of hours or better yet find an option that I can configure in my forms setup to limit connect_time to a certain length of time. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you modfied the timeout parameter ? This will help to exit the application when there is no activity

Report Issue - Remove Work Hrs. link to Shft Hours

Hi,
I have a Equipment Log Report, where in output it show the Equipment details with Account assignment category, General settlement receiver, Shift Hours, Work Hours, Idle Hrs, Maint. Hrs., Production Hours etc...
There is a condition in report that when we insert Shift Hrs. 24, it tell about insert Work Hrs. We have to insert hrs. in Work Hrs. column.
Now due to some problem, we want that after shift hrs., not necessary to fill the Work Hrs. (means Shift hours should not depend on Work Hrs.) - If Idle hrs. count 24 Hrs, then no need to maintain Work Hrs.
Please check my code...and suggest...

Customizing Audit Log Report - Adding/Removing Columns from Display

Hi All -
Has anyone tried adding/removing the columns from Out of Box Auditi Log report with minor customizations to the code/configuration files ? Right now , when the Audit Log report is executed, there are numbe of columns that appear on report (Server, Client IP etc) which are too technical for the client and requirement is remove some of these and add some more for the attributes that we are audit logging through Audit workflow service. If you have done something similar in the past, please provide me with some inputs. Any sample code, examples will be highly appreciated.

Pl follow these steps..
1.In the Program Attributes, click on the pushbutton 'HR Report Category'.Click on the 'Create' icon in the pop-up window that comes up.
2. On the next screen click on the 'New entries ' pushbutton in the menu bar.
3. In the next screen enter a anme for the report Category, say, 0COMPCODE.
4.On the same screen, you have a Navigation tree to the left hand side, click on the Allowable selection Criteria Node
5. On the next screen, click on the New Entriees pushbutton
6. On the next screen enter 'PNPBUKRS'.
7. You will be prompted to tie it to a Transaport Request. Attach it to the sam ereq that your Report is tied to.
8. SAVE it & attach it to your Program.

According to your description, you want to hide the Toolbar in report manager when preview some reports. As far as I know, reporting Services provides default style (.css) files (usually in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS%.MSSQLSERVER \Reporting
Services\ReportServer\Styles) that define styles for the report toolbar in HTML Viewer for Report Manager. So we can modify some default settings to customize the toolbar, but these settings would affect all reports in report manager.
In Reporting Service, we can hide Toolbar in specified reports by setting the Toolbar parameter to false as below:

FEP reporting showing removed/deleted sytems

We recently set up a SCCM 2007 SP2 R3 virtual machine with FEP 2010 integrated into it. So far things are going smooth except one concern.
As systems may be manually deleted from SCCM or removed by maintenance tasks like removing systems flagged as "obsolete" based on whatever criteria, the systems will no longer show under any collections in SCCM manager console.
If I run any FEP report however, it still shows these deleted/removed systems in the report. Any reason for this happening?

This is old post, but if possible check whether the problem will reproduce in System Center Endpoint Protection which is successor to FEP?
Sometimes it is due to issue that some data are in the cache and not updated in database and causing this issue.

Edit HTML Report to remove section dividers

Running test sequences and using the HTML format for reports. Configured the Results Processing / Report Generation to only show failures in the report. When I get the report, it still shows several black lines in between the tests that failed. Presumably, these are some type of section or test divider that is still displayed even when the actual test result is omitted. I expect that to get rid of these, I will need to edit the report generation sequence files, but I am not sure where to start. Please advise.

Thanks for the reponse. I managed to find my way to the reportgen_html file, and I did find a few spots in the file that use the term "separator", however, editing or deleting these steps didn't seem to affect the report. This may or may not have been the correct step, but in the context of the sequence, it made sense.
Example:
Within the reportgen_html file, there is a sub-sequence called " PutOneResultInReport_Impl ". Within this sub-sequence, there is an expression step called "Add Separator". The expression is as follows:
Locals.ReportEntry += "<tr><td class='separator' style=\"background-color:" + Parameters.ReportOptions.Colors.TableBorder + ";\" colspan = '2'></td></tr>\n"
I deleted the entire step, with no effect.
Could you confirm if I am at least looking in the right place? Thanks.

SCCM Reporting Question - Removing Duplicates (query)

I have a query created for a software usage report in SCCM. When there are multiple versions of the same software (Acrobat) installed on the same machine, I will receive duplicate results for the same machine. For example, it will come back with Acrobat
9 and another Acrobat 10 for HOSTNAME1. However, only Acrobat 10 has a usage count. Is it possible to delete the row for Acrobat that has a software usage count of "0/null" if there is another Acrobat results showing up that actually has a usage
count? Let me know if I need to clarify. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Intervative Report - Change / Remove wording on Agregates

Hi all,
I have an Interactive report that has, as it's main data, 12 columns (one for each month) that will always report numbers that are less than 99. I have changed the column names to be 'Jan', 'Feb', 'Mar' etc. and the report fits nicely on my page / screen.
I then added Sum aggregation to all 12 columns, with the knowledge that the total calculated will also be less than 99. The report should therefore still fit nicley on my page / screen. However, the report shows 'Sum: 99' for each column and the 'Sum: ' element is making the columns wide enough to force the report off the side of the screen.
Is there anyway that I can stop the report from adding the 'Sum: ' text and to just show the calculated number?

Remove Reports from MSS

Hello,
I am working with the SAP MSS Business Package on the Portal. We have a functional requirement to remove all the "Time Management" reports that show up under the 'Reports' tab for the MSS role. I looked at the Reports iView and there is no option for me to select the reports that should/should not be shown on the portal.
How can I prevent some of the reports from being displayed on the Portal?

Try doing this
Go to Personnel Management -> Manager's Desktop -> Enhancement of Function Codes -> Define Structure of Function codes -> Change Arrangement of Function Codes.
From here enter the scenario, higher level function code, and level number in the table. Be sure to check the box "function code hidden" to hide the item from the list.

Hi, I agree with Gerd - there's not much tuning you can do in Web Analysis (as compared to FR).
In looking at the query see if you can:
- move single hierarchy members into the POV
- have children and parent in the same row
- arrange dimensions in inverse outline order (faster for essbase retrieves)
- remove excessive formatting/suppression (or conditional formatting/suppression)
- push report calculations back to the data source
We have also found that using lots of dynamically calculated members also slows down reports, so try and limit the number of these.
Maybe build your report up from the basic report to see which dimensions are causing the issue. Or alternatively start with your report and remove columns ;-)
With regard to wishing to show only 2 items, you could add advanced conditional suppression to suppress rows with values.

Remove unnecessary SD orders in SCM system

Hello,
To remove unnecessary Sales Orders regularly in SCM system I found out a program "/SAPAPO/SDORDER_DEL ". But I am unable to figure out the parameters to be used once I execute this program. Can someone please let me know, if there is a document which explains the fields in the tab of the program /SAPAPO/SDORDER_DEL :
1. Delete on database
2. Delete in SAP livecache and in Database
3. Delete All DB Sales order data

ATP: Delete (SD) Orders From Database
Purpose
You use this report to delete the SD sales document data from the database. Normally, the order data remains in the database (it is not deleted as in liveCache).
In order to limit the data volume, you should schedule the report to delete the orders, if necessary, and it should be dependent on the lifetime of your orders.
Example
For example, a sales order is completed in six weeks. Such a sales order would be archived in SAP R/3 but such an archiving concept does not exist in SAP APO. You use this report to remove the sales order from the database.
Integration
A location product or a location can only be deleted if SD sales documents for this location product no longer exist in the database (that is, if, for example, no more entries exist in the tables /SAPAPO/ORDADM_I or /SAPAPO/ORDPART).
Features
A check is normally carried out before an order is deleted to see if this order still exists in liveCache. If this is the case, the order is not deleted.
You can also print out a list of the orders that cannot be deleted if you have set the relevant indicator.
In exceptional cases, you can deactivate this check and nevertheless still delete the selected orders.
If you have set the Delete all orders indicator, the order data from the database is completely deleted without any check. You should take great care when using this function.
Note
If you have deleted orders that are still being used for business purposes, you must start a new initial data supply or, if you know the orders, you must perform a further ATP check to transfer the data from SAP R/3 to SAP APO.
