Hr report category remove selection fields..

hi again All,
I am facing a problem again. I tried generating a new category for my report. Now again after creating the category i do not see how to add fields and remove selection fields. I need only company code in my selection criteria and nothing else.
can neone help me?

Pl follow these steps..
1.In the Program Attributes, click on the pushbutton 'HR Report Category'.Click on the 'Create' icon in the pop-up window that comes up.
2. On the next screen click on the 'New entries ' pushbutton in the menu bar.
3. In the next screen enter a anme for the report Category, say, 0COMPCODE.
4.On the same screen, you have a Navigation tree to the left hand side, click on the Allowable selection Criteria Node
5. On the next screen, click on the New Entriees pushbutton
6. On the next screen enter 'PNPBUKRS'.
7. You will be prompted to tie it to a Transaport Request. Attach it to the sam ereq that your Report is tied to.
8. SAVE it & attach it to your Program.

  • Order of fields in HR Report Category

    Hi All,
    Is it possible to change the order of fields that are populated in the selection screen of an HR report while using HR report category ? The fields that I am talking about are Personnel number, company code, employee group etc that come in the Selection block of the selection screen.

    Hi Waz,
    The HR Report category I am using is a custom one. I added the field customer specific status to the list. I wanted this to come after the already existing employment status...but it gets added before it.
    I tried to make a HR report category from scratch too. But in vain. No matter what the order I add the fields the order comes back to the one defined by SAP.

    my problem is the following: i want to get the report category of a program using pnp (GET PERNR). but in the program attributes, the field is empty???

    If u use PNP LDB, and set the report category in program attributes as blank, default selection-screen of PNP is assigned to program.
    If u want to change it,
    give existing report category which u can find by F4 or create a new one and assign it.
    That is,
    goto -->attributes --> Goto HR report category -->
    choose master data--> for not to use the default screen choose 000
    also you can use the parameters you want on ur selection screen
    and if u dnt want anythng u can choose 000
    The default HR Report Category gets assigned if you leave the field blank in the report attributes of a report tied to PNP/PNPCE. to avoid it,
    1. You can use the report category ___00003 (All fields suppressed) & design your own selection-screen in the Program or
    2. Create your own Report category & assign it to the report.
    The report category is used to change the selection screen of programs that use the 'PNP' logical database.

       I am using dynamic selections for a HR report.
    I have created a view with 20 fields and added it to HR report category ___00003(All fields suppressed).
    I need to check these fields in the program. But i am not able to get the field name and value in the program for dynamic selections fields.
    Please let me know how to get the field names and values in the program for dynamic selections .

    You have to read the itab <i>pnpdynse</i> in your Program to obtain the Dynamic Selection values. This itab has a deep structure.. you can set a break point in one of the events before <b>get pernr</b> & in the debug mode, you will able to display the itab <i>pnpdynse</i>.. you can then identify how to get the values into your code..

  • HR Report Category - Change a Deault Value

    Hi Forums!
    I have a requirement to change a value on a HR Report category to the Field 'Employment Status'
    It is using this report category 9CUST03 and on screen Employment status is showing up with a '0' in the field
    The requirement is to remove the default '0'
    I have checked the initialization of the program and in the report category as well where can I find this value being populated?

    Hi,
        Your report might be using a default variant with 'Employment Status' filled with 0.
        In your program write coding to refresh the contents of this field.
        Initialization.
        refresh  PNPSTAT2.

    If you use 'Z' HR Report category for Payroll cluster , Just edit the report category and select the fileds which are the things you need...Please  find pasted the screen shot
    Please check the check box which are the fields you want in the selection screen.... or copy a standard report category into 'Z' and do the changes...

    I am trying to create a new report category based on the logical database PNP.
    I noted that the fields available for select-option for report category come from infotype 0 or 1. Is there anyway to include fields from other infotypes ?

    Hi Kir Chern
    Due to the structure of the logical database you can just insert selection fields that are bestowed.
    However, as Charles mentioned, you can add selection fields special to your program by coding a selection screen at your program whose fields are inserted just after the ones added by the report category.

    Hi,
    Copy the Standard report and change the selection screen accordingly and insert the logic which you require to change. Do not change standard programs.

  • LDB/Report Category/Selection view

    Hello,
    I have a requirement to add a field onto the standard selection of the program PC00_M99_CWTR.
    The field I need to add is PA0031-RFP01 (Reference personnel number). Can this be added??
    I have been told that I can add this field to the dynamic selection screen by changing the fields
    behind the logical database PNP. However, when I go into SE36 and enter the SELECTION VIEWS
    option choose PNP and SAP STANDARD to display the system replies with 'The selection view does
    not exist' ?????
    How can I add fields when I can't see the SAP standard one to copy from.
    Or should I be changing the reporting category.
    Any help much appreciated.

    Just wanted to know if it was possible or not. Sometimes with SAP it says you can do
    something to the SAP standard and then you have to go and create a custom copy
    having spent many hours in the first place!!

  • Selection-screen using HR report category

    Hi friends,
       I have a developed HR report using PNP ldb in which i have used the HR report category to specify my selection-screen.But still my requirment is not getting fullfiled.I require 1)Company Code
                            2)Payroll Period selection block also.
    But even if i dont enter value in this payroll area it should excecute.As of now it throws an error message saying "No valid payroll area specified"
    I want to generate report for any month given in other period of the payroll Area wrt company code.

    As per your question, remember that, the period will be different for each and every Payroll area.May be same period will behave differenly like weekly, monthly, semi-monthly.. with different payroll area.
    So the parameter payroll area will always be mandatory..

    In general data selection, i have already cost center, but it is not apprearing at selection screen. Only three field are appearing (Year + Period + Forecast),  and i want to add cost center at the selection screen. How to make cost center field at selection field from General data selection option. Please guide me

  • Dynamic selections in Report category

    I am trying to create a dynamic selection view for a report category, while doing so i am not able to add any table to table dialog that appears, when i enter PA0001 it says PA0001 is not a table. Same problem for any table i try to insert.
    Can anyone help me with a solution.

    In transaction SE80, i selected "edit object" button -> in the screen that pops-up i selected the tab "more"
    In that tab i selected radio button "Selection View" and then selected create button
    Then  "Create Selection View" screen appears, there i selected CUS View, checked radio button "for any tables" and gave a name of view 'ZTEST' and pressed the continue button, A screen appears to enter tables, when i enter any table it gives the message Table not found.
    When i try in other systems it works, not sure of the problem in our dev system.

    We are implementing EP. In that i have to take one report of PS which tcode is S_ALR_87013533.
    In this report having various selection parameters field in 1st screen.But i want only Project defination field to be displayed and remaing fields i wanted to be hide.
    So EP user will put only Project Defination and will acess the ps releated report.
    What is the way to hide remaing field in that report.Is their any screen layout avail. for the reporting t codes in customizing.
    If any other way is avail. pls let me know.

    I have created new db profile using tcode optx & given selection criteria proj definition.also i have given plan version "0"
    But problem is system is showing following error " No costs, revenues or finances were selected".
    Pls tell me how to come out from this problem.
