The format is not supported by the JMF currently used in XleTView. Convert the avi using Cinpak Codec with "The RAD Video Tools" from Bink. You find it at http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm, it's a free download. This should solve your problem.

Aplication WFO don't show the files recorded

I am using QM 8.5.2 with UCCX 8.1 and CUCM 8.6 only for compliance recording, my problem is that the aplication desktop WFO don't show the files recorded, and I have the folow error in the QM server.

Why Won't This AVI File Copy?

Sometimes I try to copy an AVI file onto an external USB or to my Apple TV. Every once in a while I get one file that starts out copying, but then I get an error message saying it "could not be read or written. (Error code -36)". The file names have no unusual characters in them.
Anybody have an idea why this is? Thanks.
By the way I have an iBook and I'm running OS 10.4.11 on it.

Hi Homer, is this File Transfer being done via SMB, or to an MS-DOs/Fat32 Drive?
If so there would be a 2 to 4GB file size limit.

Why doesn't my .AVi file import into iMovies

I cannot get iMovies to recognise my .AVI files (from my Samsung ST50).
I can download the files from my camera to my hard drive (so the computer recognises them), and I can play them via Quicktime, so I know they work. But I can't import the .AVI files into iMovies. It seems to process the video when I go to 'Import'>'Movies'...- then nothing appears. I just get a 'No Matching Video' message in the event folder.
However my previous camera (an old Pentax Optio S40) produced .AVI's which I can import into iMovies. Are all AVI's not the same? Or is it a setting in my new camera (I'm not too tech savvy!).

Why don't my WORD files show up in the LINKS panel?

Sometimes my text files don't link when I place them. Why?

Since you can edit and create text in InDesign, but you can’t edit or create imported art, text links are treated differently than graphic links. By default they do not show as links in the Links panel. Go to File > Preferences > File Handling and turn on Create Links When Placing Text and Spreadsheet Files. Now future placed text files will show in the Links panel. The only way to get already placed files to show is to place them again.

FCP X don't show audio files in the music and sound browsing.

Today I open FCP X to find some Sound Fx for a TV Spot and FCP X doesn't show any audio in the music and sound browsing. I trash my preference, restart computer with no lock.

load all the files in Easy CD-DA Extractor 12 and go to each file n cut the album art n paste it in paint and save it then load it back in the album art cover in Easy CD-DA Extractor.

Why does iPhoto show raw files as .jpg?

I transfer files from my camera, each in raw and jpg format, to iPhoto. They both get shown as jpg files, and if I then open in photoshop they only open as jpg. Why?

Why?
When you import a Raw to iPhoto it automatically makes a jpeg Preview of the shot because you can't do anything with Raw - can't print it, share it online, use it in other apps etc. So to allow you to use the file immediately the Preview is available.
Processing Raw in a 3rd Party Application
You can also process your Raw with a 3rd Party app like ACR or Photoshop. *But* iPhoto does not handle this gracefully and it's a bit of a kludge.
First off set your preferred app as an external editor in iPhoto:
You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.
Note that iPhoto sends a copy+ of the file to Photoshop, so when you save be sure to use the Save command, not Save As... If you use Save As then you're creating a new file and iPhoto has no way of knowing about this new file. iPhoto is preserving your original anyway.
Next: In the iPhoto Preferences -> Advanced, elect to use Raw with your External editor:
Now when you go to edit the Raw it will be sent to your external editor.
Now for the kludge:
You cannot save a Raw. The work you do must be output to a new file, in a new format (jepg, tiff, whatever). However, as the External Editor is making this new file iPhoto has no knowledge of its existence. Therefore you *must save it to the desktop and then import it back to iPhoto as a new file*.
This means that you will have your Original Raw and the processed version in iPhoto but they will not be recognised as version and original. iPhoto will see them as two separate shots.

Keynote: Why don't edited photo files import into application?

I cropped photo's in the Photo then imported them into Keynote but the cropped images went into keynote in their original unedited format? Why???

I'm happy to announce to you all that my "mp4 importing" issues has been sorted out. Now I import mp4 shot with the same Windows Phone 8 Device into Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. Only that for the moment, it doesn't play as fast as with ordinary player.
But how did I get it to work, you may wonder;
I simply installed Itunes on the system, I also installed an app called media monkey. I can't say which of the apps did the magic but the next time I tried to import mp4 files into Premiere Pro after these installations, it imported seamlessly.
Obviously there's a link between the required codecs and the itunes itself.
You may want to try it and hope it works for you.

Trouble with crystal report viewer - don't show swf file

hi to evrybody,
i'm developing an application with Crystal Report and Xcelsius.
My scenario is:
Visual Studio 2008
Crystal Report 12.1.0.892
( for the cliente CRRuntime_12_1_mlb.msi)
I tried to develop only the kernel of the application a form vb that call another form with
crystalReportViewer (12.0.2000.0)
My trouble is that i can't see the flash embed in Crystal Report file.
(In the Crystal Report preview all wors fine)
Can someone help me with this ?

Unfortunately this functionality is not currently available within .NET windows forms applications. It will work in ASP.NET applications.

Why don't some audio files play back in enhanced iBook?

I recently bought an enhanced iBook in iTunes for my iPad and most of the audio files play. A few do not when I click on them. The player goes blank (disappears) and nothing happens. Does anyone have a solution?

In iTunes, select all the songs/files you want to stay where they are.
Right click - get info.
Tick *Remember position* and set it Yes.
You can do individual songs or a bunch at once.

Xbox 360 recognizes EX4 but don't show any files!!

I recently purchase an EX4 for my movie collection (which is 1.37 TBs so far). Copy all my files from my Seagate GoFlex Home 3TB to the EX4, successful. My PS3 recognizes, reads, and plays my movies, no problem. Today, I purchased an Xbox wireless adapter for my Xbox 360. The Xbox recognizes, reads, and play movies from the Seagate but only recognizes the EX4 and NO VIDEOS FOUND is the message I kept getting. Am I doing something wrong???

My network setup is: a Motorola NVG510 DSL modem (AT&T UVerse), Dell Inspiron Small Desktop 3647 (Intel Pentium G3220/3GHz), Seagate GoFlex Home 3TB and Western Digital EX4 8TB. Trying to convert fully over to the EX4, once I figure this problem out. The Seagate and Western Digital is network-attached thur modem, also. What would be my media server, if I have one?? Not familiar with media server.

If these are gaming clips from a screen capture program then the recording format is not compatible with AE. You'll have to transcode them to a suitable production codec. If you are just editing then you should use a NLE, if you need to composite or do other motion graphics to your game capture footage then AE may be the right app to be using.
