XLS standard content reports templates

Hi
For a customer demo / software evaluation i need to produce all the standard SAP BW business content report in Excel . The customer should evaluate the standard bw reporting. A research on the service sap doen't produce any result on this topic
Somebody could indicate or send to me XLS of standard templates of business content report or should i install all the content, load it and download every template report

Crystal Reports I don't believe has anything like that, we have sample reports but not likely what you are looking for.

Report Template - Standard, Alternating Row Colors

I'm using APEX 4.1.0 and theme 22 on Oracle 10g.
I have some tabular forms in my application. For 2 of those, row deletions are allowed and I have the usual select box column to manage the row deletions. Also my users like the "Standard, Alternating Row Colors" report template and would like to see the alternating row colors whenever possible. Unfortunately I get the "Error on page." browser error in IE when I check a row selector box using this template. When I use a different report template I don't get this error.
The tabular form functions correctly so this error is harmless, but I would like to know what it is for. I'm sure my users would rather not see that error.
By the way, in Firefox the firebug error count increases and I get the following error in the console:

There must be some issues the apex_4_1.min.js file, try to reload it. In apex.oracle.com the tabular form with "Standard, Alternating Row Colors" just works fine.

Difference between Report Template "Standard (PPR)" and "Standard"?

What is the difference between Report Template "Standard (PPR)" and Report Template "Standard"? What does PPR mean and what makes it different? Why would you use PPR rather than just standard?

Hello,
PPR (Partial Page Refresh) is just a term used to describe some AJAX pagination and sorting functionality, it's just a holdover from before the term AJAX existed.
You can just change the template and on your report to enable that functionality. In 3.0 it will just be on off switch in your pagination options.

Modifying the Standard Report template

Hi
I have a report with 10 columns and 2 of them are wb_id, pa_id. Depending on the search critiria either wb_id or pa_id will be null. I want to highlight the row with some color when I select any row and I am modifying the standard template and
column template condition is 'Use Based on PL/SQL Expression' and it is
NVL(#COL02#,0) = NVL(:GLOBAL_WB_ID,0). But when I run the report it is giving the error that encountered # wherea as expecting.......

I had written a java script to select the current row, and page refreshes when I click
any where on the row and displays the display item saying that
currently selected id is 10317
or

and also assigns the 10317 to GLOBAL_WB_ID or UKS79923100 to GLOBAL_PA_ID
Now my user want to change the color of the currently selected row.
For this I am trying to change the report template like this

Then I changed the condition to substitute the #2# in single quotes like this.
NVL('#2#',0) = NVL(:GLOBAL_WB_ID,0);
BUT it is giving this error

Duplicating the "Standard, Alternating Rows Colors" report template

The built-in theme 5 comes with a report template called "Standard, Alternating Rows Colors". This theme's template type is defined as "Generic Columns". I need to create a duplicate of this report template that has a template type of "Named Columns" instead of "Generic Columns".
I've tried to create a brand new report template using the "Named Columns" template type and then copy/paste the appropriate HTML code from the original to the new one. Obviously there are some options in the "Generic Columns" template type that are not in the "Named Columns" template type, and vice versa, but I copied over what I thought was appropriate.
No matter what I do, I don't seem to come close to having my copy look like the original. I've looked over the Report Template section of the User Guide, but that hasn't helped. Any suggestions on how to accomplish what I'm trying to do?

Dynamic Heading not translated in report template "Value Attribute Pairs"

Hello,
I created a report in which I use application item names in the column heading of the items.
When I use the report template "Value Attribute Pairs" the heading displays not the contents of the application item names but the exact contents of the headings.
for instance:
application item name "trm_label_1" has the value : "Naam".
I created a report based on the SQL: select x.name from persons x
The heading of column "name" is: "&TRM_LABEL_1.".
The report shows the text "&TRM_LABEL_1." instead of "Naam".
When I change the report template in "Standard" the substitution is done well.
Can anyone explain what (not) happens and how I can fix this problem?

Hi Rob,
You can do this by choosing as Headings Type: PLSQL in the Column Attributes.
You would have something like Deptno:DName:Loc:&APP_ITEM.
Where the first columns are normal text and the last one is an application item.

Help in XSL: Standard PO report

Hi,
I am trying to print the Company Logo in the Standard PO report (XSL-FO template). The jpeg name of the file is part of XML data.
This is what I am trying, but it does not seem to work.

SHIP_TO_ORgANIZATION_LOGO contains the filename (like abc.jpg) and is present in $OA_MEDIA.
I have even tried with

Dear mayank,
You can create a new node in the property tree only by customizing.
First you need to know what characteristics it should have as this is part of a class.
I have listed the steps below which might be helpful.
First Create a characteristic(s) for the node which is actually a Value assignment type using CT04.
Create a Class using CL01 with class 100 and Assign all the characteristics to this particular class.
identify under which property tree, your node should appear.
for eg: Goto the txn CG02, select any real substance, in the property tree of IH, select any value assignment type under a node Limit values and regulations such as labelling(EU) and press F1 to view its description and u will find the Value assignment type as SAP_EHS_1023_001.
In customisizing, Select Setup Property trees under EHS - basic data tools - specification management - Specification database structure - Settings for value assignment type .
Select your property tree eg IH, select value assignment type assignment and insert your node.
By this way, U will be able to insert your node in the property tree. Now exit the screen and goto txn CG02 to find your node listed in property tree.
Go to Set Up Property Trees under SPRO; select the standard property tree and click on Value Assignment Type and assign the Class to a Node under which you want to.
i.e adding a node in a property tree.
Prerequisites for adding an node to a property tree.
Creation of class (T_code CL02) & Charactertics (T_Code CL04)
Assigning the charactertics to class.
Assigning the VAT to the Property Tree
Now you need to assign the VAT to the property tree, make sure you give the correct ID & level so that the new node appears in the exact level as you desired.

VO Extension Error in modifying the query of XML Publisher Report Template

I have one requirement related to calling XML Publisher Reports Template from OAF Page.
When clicking on the submit button the XML Publisher template is calling and displaying the data.
Our requirement is to display some more columns in the XML Publisher Template and display the data.

XML Publisher Report in EBS without Standard Oracle Report

Hi folks ,
i have some questions.
Can I create a XML Publisher Report for the EBS without a Standard Oracle Report in EBS.
So that I can build up the files with the Desktop Publisher, create Data Definition / Template with Upload / Create the executable und concurrent and than only start the new program in EBS ?
I have the situation that I can start my program with the template in the background but ít is searching for the report on the file system.

can i do it only with the xml Publisher , because when i tried it in the past and get all the staff like Template / DD / CP up and running and started the CR i get an error from the system that he is missing a report directly in the file system... so he searched for the report himself on system like a standard 6i Report. But the template and the dd is stored in the db. So my question again, can I use the XML Puplisher without a Standard Report or can i use a dummy file only for checking and after that he use my template / dd.

Access to customizing default: report templates

I seem to remember far back in the corners of my memory, someone here on the forum mentioning that although we didn't have access at the time (probably back at HTMLDB 2.0) to customize the default report templates, that there were plans to make this an option in a future version of Apex. Does anyone have any idea if this is something that is being planned, or better yet, available today?
If you're not sure what I'm talking about I'm referring to the field that says 'Report Template' in the 'Layout and Pagination' section of the 'Report Attributes' page in the application builder.
The problem I'm having is that I'm using the 'default: vertical report, look 2 (show null columns)' report template and I've got some long column headings that I want to include a line break between each word of the heading, so they're stacked vertical instead of wide horizontally. I've add HTML break tags to the headings but they're disappearing when the page is rendered.
I've made sure to set the 'Strip HTML' setting to 'No', but whether it's set to yes or no doesn't matter, the headings display the same either way.
BTW, doing the same thing in a template based multi-row report seems to work fine. However, trying to use/apply the 'Value Attribute Pairs' report template yields the same result as the default vertical look template.
So I have 2 questions:
1) anyone know how I can make these heading words stack up vertically, one word to a line?
2) are we going to get access to customize the default report templates?

Probably the best way to do this is to just hard code
a <br /> between your words.That's exactly what I'm doing (and what I said in my original post), however those breaks are disappearing during page rendering when I choose the report templates I mentioned.
I don't understand why this technique works in the multi-row report templates and not in these vertically oriented value/attribute report layouts.

No, you should just use a regular theme based
template, the default report templates are there for
backwards compatibility and well basically for people
that don't care about the UI. Since your at the point
it seems you do care about UI the proper thing to do
is to move to a standard report template that you
have full control over.Fair enough. I'll look into that, but I think there's still an open question here as to why the HTML breaks aren't being returned in the page markup for these report layouts.

Unable to upload the updated/modified Report template (rtf file) in siebel

Hi,
I am unable to upload the updated/modified Report template (rtf file) if already exists in the local database.
Initially I have uploaded a rtf template, generated xliff, registered it and can view the report from the registered view. Later I have made few changes to the rtf template, in the reports template view, I have uploaded this. When i run the report in the registered view, I am able to see the earlier version and it doesnt show me the updated changes.
I am using 8.1.1.3 siebel and BIP 10.1.3.3.1 on local.
Looking at the metalink found "How To Upload Modified RTF Template Files In The Siebel Application For BI Publisher Reporting [ID 1136418.1]" which is related to server but I am working on local database
Please find attached the template, xml file. can you please look into this and update me ASAP

Not able to find Report - Standard templates or Report - Custom templates view in Administration - BIP reports in Siebel 8.1.1.3?
We have applied 8.1.1.3 patch on 8.1.1.0
below are the steps followed
Reports are not generated after 8.1.1.3 patch installtion.
we have also followed to below steps mentioned for this issue in oracle support.
"In order to resolve this behavior it is necessary to ensure that the 8.1.1.3 FixPack has been applied to the Siebel Tools installation. This will provide an additional .zip file in the REPPATCH folder of the Siebel Tools installation. Once this has been done please then follow the configuration steps as documented :
change sysprefix to X_ before sif import and chage back to SBL_ after sif import.
1) Import the sif files from Siebel\8.1\Tools_1\REPPATCH\12-1VMBCSV.zip
2) Import the 4 SIF files in the following order:
S_XMLP_REP_TMPL_02112010.sif
SBL_XMLP_REPORT_SELECTION_FLG.sif
Report Template BC.sif
Report Template Registration Applet.sif
3)Apply the DDL for table S_XMLP_REP_TMPL and compile repository
Once the above steps have been completed the Selected Record flag will appear in the Report Template Registration views."
we still not able to generated able to generate reports even after following above steps.

Report Template, Column Template, Column Template Condition

I have a template, Standard Revenue from Standard, I have cloned for a Classic report.
Application ###>Shared Componets>Templates>Edit Report Template
Column Template 1 looks like:

I have set Column Template 1 Condition to:
"Use based on PL/SQL expresiion"
I have tried several expression in "Column Template 1 Expression" - last one is:
case
when #COLNUM# <= 2 then false
when #COLUMN_VALUE# < 0 then true
else false
end case;
I am trying to use the value in "Column Template 2" when to value of the #COLUMN_VALUE# < 0
where "Column Template 2" is :

I get the following error when I run the page:
ORA-01403: no data found
and

The SQL for both reports is:

999G999G999G999G990D00For the Row Template, the Row Template 1 setting contains an empty space (you have to have something in there otherwise Apex adds back in a default row containing five cells!). The condition for this is:
TO_NUMBER('#COMM#','999G999G999G999G990D00') < 100The template will see the data as a string, so we use the same number format to convert that string back into a number and compare this to 100. If we didn't use formatting on the numbers and we are sure that every row contained a number (hence the use of NVL()), then you could use:
#COMM# < 100Row Template 2 contains the format for the rows that need displaying:

Report Template dependant of PLSQLEXPRESSION

I have written a report template to vary a column format depending on a PLSQL Expression.
I want to have an expression like this in the 'Column Template 1 Expression' box.
MY_LIB.fIndicatorStateChange(1,#COLUMN_VALUE#)
or
MY_LIB.fIndicatorStateChange(1,v('#COLUMN_VALUE#'))
or
MY_LIB.fIndicatorStateChange(1,&COLUMN_VALUE.)
in all cases the second parameter comes up as NULL in the package.
I am using HTML version 1.6.
Can anyone help.

I am using the solution to embed the code in my report to change the font color based on some condition. It works great when my region type is SQL Query but it does not work when my region type is PL/SQL Funciton Body Returning SQL Query.
Here is a snippet of the code:

When I do this using a PL/SQL Function body with the q:=q||q'! SELECT... Syntax I get the following error message:
"ORA-20001: Unable to bind :RED verify length of item is 30 bytes or less. Use v() syntax to reference items longer than 30 bytes. ORA-01006: bind variable does not exist."
It looks like it thinks the :RED is a find variable but it isn't. Does anyone know of a way to fix this?
(I also tried using decode instead of case and I still got the same error)

Report template auto-changed to Default: HTML

I use the builtin report template "Default: Look 4" for all of my report screens and have a problem when importing the application with a new Application ID.
All reports that use the "Default: Look 4" template get changed to "Default HTML" in the new application and I have to manually change them all back again. This is a real pain because I use the application ID as a form of version control - the old versions of the application are auto-forwarded to the new one - so I end up having to do the change quite often.
Is there a way I can prevent the template from changing?

If it's any help to you, I did a bit of 'vanilla' testing ...
- create a new workspace TEST
- Edit Page 1 of the Sample Application
- Note that the region "My Top Orders" is using layout "template: 12. Standard, Alternating Row Colors"
- export the Sample Application
- import the Sample App with Auto-Assign New App ID selected
- Edit Page 1 in the new application and note that the region template for "My Top Orders" is still set to "template: 12. Standard, Alternating Row Colors"
- Change the template for "My Top Orders" to "default: Look 4"
- Export application
- Import application with auto-assigned AppID
- Edit "My Top Orders" and note that template is changed to "default: HTML (standard)"
The template is only changed when the exported application uses one of the "default: Look X" templates, other templates are not changed. Also, importing into the same or different application makes no difference, the template is still changed.
