XML creation in AS2

Hello everyone,
Im trying to create a text node within a child node:
user_xml.firstChild.appendChild( user_xml.createTextNode("------") );
but when I trace this I get:
user_xml = <UserDetails>------</UserDetails>
Which is not what I need.
What I need returning is:
user_xml = <UserDetails>------</UserDetails>
Any help with this matter would be really appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

I'm experiencing this problem also. In my case, I'm loading xml into an array. Tracing the xml gives me this Chuir
An do chuir and tracing the array gives me this "Chuir
An do chuir", I've tried .split('<').join('<').split('>').join('>'); at various points but I've not been successful. If anyone could give me any pointers, I'd be grateful.
Regards
Marion

• TP Agreement Not Found -- OAGIS XML document over AS2

Hi,
I am getting TP Agreement not found error while receiving OAGIS XML document over AS2. Below is error message.
Agreement not found for trading partners: FromTP SOALocal, ToTP Powell with document type PROCESS_INVOICE_002-null-INBOUND
I am not sure why it says null-INBOUND. It appears like it is not able to identify Document Version. DOCTYPE_REVISION=7.2.1 is being passed in the AS2 transport headers but still it does not recognize the version.
I am not sure what is missing. Please give some ideas hints.

• OAG 7.x XML messages over AS2

Hi All,
Need some help for the below issue.
We will be receiving OAG Xml messages over AS2 from our trading partners. I have setup the Trading partner Agreement but the message is not picking any agreement. I believe we need to set the below fields in the Document Definition.
Identification Expression (XPath)
Identification Value
I have tried different values for these fields but it is not working. Could someone please suggest if you have done this and how you handled this. Or someone please throw some idea for me to try another approach.
Thanks
Ismail.

Here is the XML Payload. Sorry it is a big payload. I am not getting any error when I upload the message to AS2. In B2B it shows the message received but the sender fields are blank.
I used below values in the Document definition.
Identification Expression (XPath) ==> //*[local-name()='TASK']/text()

• Receiving Custom XML Document over AS2 (HTTPS) - Inbound Processing

Hi All,
Need help in Receiving Custom XML Document over AS2 (HTTPS) - Inbound Processing
External Trading Partner will be able to post the XML Documents to https://<b2bconsolehost>:<b2bconsoleport>/b2b/httpReceiver.
Here is the process flow:
1. External Trading Partner will be posting the XML Documents to https://<b2bconsolehost>:<b2bconsoleport>/b2b/httpReceiver
2. B2B, consumes the Custom XML validates as per the XSD and process it.
3. How to send the ACK back to External Trading Partner if it validates successfully and sent it to 'IP_IN_QUEUE'
4. How to send the ACK back to External Trading Partner if the validation fails after receiving the XML document.
5. Does the External Trading Partner require any certificates to post the XML Documents to https://<b2bconsolehost>:<b2bconsoleport>/b2b/httpReceiver (no need of encryption/decryption)?
6. How to enable the B2B server to accept the HTTPS messages from the Trading Partner (no need of encryption/decryption).
Please let me know. Thanks In Advance.
Regards,
Amirineni

Hi Nandu, Ramesh,
We have done the set-ups for transmitting a Custom XML Document over HTTP1.1 in B2B.
Our Business Case is as follows:
1. Read the Flat File using BPEL File Adapter
2. Transform the Message in BPEL and send it to B2B
2. Based on the set-ups in B2B, we need to post the XML message to the folliwng URL:-
http://databridge.buy.datastream.net:5555/invoke/dsImport/receiveXML
In the B2B Set-Ups, I have done the following:
Business Protocol name: Custom Document over Internet
Exchange Protocol: AS
Document Protocol: Custom
Transport Protocol: HTTP-1.1
Host name : http://databridge.buy.datastream.net
Port: 5555
I have also deployed the agreement as well as the configuration. The issue that I am currently facing is when I select the configuration in WSIL browser in JDeveloper, I am getting the following error:
"Unable to get schema information for target".
Hence I am not able to map the message in BPEL and send it to B2B.
Could you please let me know the possible causes and if I am missing anything in the set-ups in B2B.
As always, your help and guidance is highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dibya

• Sending xml files via AS2 adapter

Hi Experts,
I have an interface which requires an IDOC to XML scenario.
This is a simple pick and drop scenario with no mapping required.
We just have to send the IDOC to the 3rd party via AS2 receiver in XML format.
Currently, the 3rd party receiver receives the file in binary format with no extensions (i.e. 9876543210123)
Although when opened via notepad, the content is in xml format
Is it possible to have the file sent as a .xml file (i.e. PO IDOC.xml)?
Please see current configuration below:
Currently, 3rd party is still receiving the file with no filename extensions.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Luis,
Thanks for your reply.
However, I am a bit confused because the thread mentions that the module configuration is for the file and JMS adapters. Also, the scenario is an AS2 to FTP interface
I want to do the filename change in the AS2 receiver channel of a IDOC to AS2 scenario.
Where exactly do I define the filename that I want to output such as "test.xml" instead of the default filename with 13 numerals?
Thanks,
Mike

• Parsing XML Namespace in as2

HI, I am attempting to parse some weather information from the Yahoo weather RSS feed.
This is a typical XML node;

Yahoo! Weather for Palm Springs, CA

I used the typical XML parsing code in as2;
var text1 = this.firstChild.childNodes[0].childNodes[1].firstChild.nodeValue;
txt1.text = text1;
I was doing pretty good until I reached a node that was formatted thus;
<yweather:forecast day="Mon" date="28 Sep 2009" low="74" high="103" text="Sunny" code="32" />
This text traced a value of undefined.
I have tried to research this and so far all I have been able to find out, is that this is a XML namespace and is very easily handled in as3. Unfortunately I have to use as2.
How do I parse out this information into a dyamic text fields?
Or failing that, where in the literature does adobe expalin how this is done?
Forrest

Hi,
Try this code:
var xmlname:XML = new XML();
xmlname.ignoreWhite = true;
xmlname.load("sample.xml");
xmlname.onLoad = function(sucess:Boolean){
var xNode = xmlname.firstChild;
var tday = xNode.childNodes[0].attributes.day;
var tdate = xNode.childNodes[0].attributes.date;
trace(tdate);

• Seeburger Adapter Payload & XML Structure for AS2

Does anyone have a sample AS2 message with payload that I can use to test the Seeburger AS2 adapter for a customer in the UK?
Thanks in advance

Hi Frederic
we will be receiving Tradacoms over AS2. I understand that the Seeburger adatper uses the modules from BIC to convert to XI-SOAP ( XML ), but we need to have the schema created for us to construct the data types or to import external definitions into IR. I would like an actual AS2 message without header and signature if possible or a schema version of the tradacoms messsage format for EPOS data. Or if applicable the mapping program that the BIC module will call from the Seeburger adapter. I have the config guide for the BIC, so I know where to configure, but I need the mappping program which will create the XML prior to sending to XI.
Thanks.
I can send you a sample EDI message ( which will be the attachment ) if you give me your email address.
Cheers,
Mark

• Custom XML Document over AS2

Hi All,
We are planning to send Custom XML Document over HTTP(AS2) to the Remote Trading Partner. The XML Document needs to be posted to a particular URL in the Remote Trading Partner Site.Here is the process flow:
1. The input application format file having the messages will be transformed to an XML message in BPEL.
2. Then as per the set-ups done in B2B, this particular XML message needs to be posted to a URL.
I went through the B2B User's Guide but could not find any documentation on how to set up Custom XML Document over HTTP(AS2).
Could you please share the documents/technical notes or link which I can refer to do the set-ups in B2B.
Please let me know. Thanks In Advance.

• XML Creation Using Jdevloper

Hi Gurus.
I m developing a web service using Jdevloper. In this I am creating one xml file.
problem is I want to store this xml file under my web service package. but Its gettingcreated to another location
here is my file creation code
File file = new File("./generic-config.xml");
this file is creating under " C:\OAFramework\jdevbin\j2ee\home "
What is the reason behind this ? and how to store it inside my web service folder
my web service folder is " C:\OAFramework\jdevhome\jdev\mywork\GenericWebservices\GenericWebservice "
Regards,
Ajay

File file = new File("./generic-config.xml");This line creates a file relative to the "working directory" of the JVM. the JVM you are running in must therefore have the working directory "C:\OAFramework\jdevbin\j2ee\home". if you are running within a Servlet container, you may be able to use http://docs.oracle.com/javaee/5/api/javax/servlet/ServletContext.html#getRealPath%28java.lang.String%29 to get the path to your servlet directory. otherwise, i don't know a way of getting that path from within the jvm.

• XML creation/parsing/validation & performance

Hello friends. I'm faced with a situation in which I need to create and parse many relatively small xml documents. Most of the XML I will be exchanging is very simple, such as:
<? xml version="1.0"?>
<transactionId>12345</transactionId>
<accountId>98765</accountId>

123 Main Street

I have done enough research and prototyping to create and parse these simple documents using the DOM model. I have really started to wonder if I'd be better of simply hardcoding the creation and parsing of these documents. I'm getting some of these documents as a String over HTTP and then creating a DOM which I then can parse and am just not sure if what I am gaining in good programming practice is worth incurring the overhead of the DOM creation and parsing process.
I'm even more divided on the issue of using DTDs or XML Schemas to validate the structure of these tiny documents. I will be having to exchange a lot of these tiny XML messages and am comfortable with the fact that the parties I am trading XML with are not going to be changing things up on the fly.
On the other hand, I am a beginner in the XML world and am sure there could be a hundred things I haven't thought off.
I am grateful for any assistance.
CM

Also,
I assume that the values in you XML document are values from Java Objects, so why not have an interface defining a "toXml()" method for application classes to implement. All the classes would need to do is to know how to write its properties (variables) to an XML document. Again JDOM can handle his very easily... see below code....
/** method to return the entity properties as an XML string.
* @return the objects properties in an XML document String.
public String toXml() {
XMLOutputter out = null;
String xml = null;
Document document = new Document(new Element( "gallery-xml" ));
Element root = document.getRootElement();
Element content = new Element("gallery");
content.addContent(new Comment("Details of Gallery as an XML document"));
* Add attributes to xml document
DateFormat format = DateFormat.getDateInstance();
content.addContent(new Element( "image-id" ).addContent( getUUID() ));
content.addContent(new Element( "name" ).addContent( this.getImageName() ));
content.addContent(new Element( "student-name" ).addContent( this.getStudentName() ));
//content.addContent(new Element( "image-bytes" ).addContent( new String(this.getImageBytes()) ));
content.addContent(new Element( "image-file" ).addContent( this.getImageFile() ));
content.addContent(new Element( "date-created" ).addContent( format.format( this.getDateCreated() )));
content.addContent(new Element( "description" ).addContent( this.getDescription() ));
content.addContent(new Element( "subset" ).addContent( this.getSubset() ));
content.addContent(new Element( "year" ).addContent( this.getYear() ));
content.addContent(new Element( "course-id" ).addContent( this.getCourseId() ));
root.addContent( content );
//write to a string
out = new XMLOutputter(" ", true);
xml = out.outputString(document);
if (Logger.DEBUG) System.out.println( out.outputString( document ) );
return xml;

• XML Creation

I have three big stumbling blocks when creating XML files (thru scripting).
1) How can I utilize variables inside my xml code.
ex. var myRoot = new XML ("<job> <task> 1 </task> </job>")
How can I replace the 1 with a variable?
2) How can I have quotes appear in the elements?
ex. <winexe> "R:\Apps\AfterEffects6\Support Files\aerender.exe" </winexe>
It generates an error (needs a following ')' )when adding them into the code, since it's trying to terminate the '= new XML ("'
3) How can I add "comment" code to the XML document
ex. I need it to say:
Thanks for your help!
-Dave

Not sure why I couldn't get the quotes working before... Perhaps I needed to add a space after it..
This works:
var catWinexe = " \"R:\\Apps\\AfterEffects6\\Support Files\\aerender.exe\" ";
Another question:
I've now moved onto UI creation... What I would like to do is create edittext boxes, which would populate my variables.. I'm having a problem on my first attempt..
// Add a panel to contain the components
win.pnlA = win.add("panel", [10, 10, 400, 450], "Settings");
win.pnlA.displayTextLbl = win.pnlA.add("statictext", [10, 415, 100, 430], "XML Name:");
XMLName = win.pnlA.add("edittext", [100, 415, 225, 430], 'XMLTest5');
var logFile = new File("/c/TEMP/" + XMLName + ".xml");
Most of the rest of the script creates lots more static and edit texts with other panels... My problem is, I'm not sure how to get the result of the edittext (in my example, XMLTest5) to appear in the variable/filename. My filename is unwantingly written as [object EditText].xml
Thanks again for your help.

• XML Creation in DB itself !!

Hi,
Can anybody tell me if there is a way out in 9i XDB to create an XML Document within the DB itslef ? i.e. i don't want to load the XML content from any external source and then play around with it. I want to generate the content, create the XML content and store it in the Database itself.
Does anybody know how to do that ?
Thanks in Advance,
Piyush

One easy way to accomplish this is to take an XML-View on some relational tables, like that:
CREATE VIEW emp_xml AS
SELECT XMLElement("employee",
XMLAttributes(empno "id"),
XMLForest(ename "name", job "job", sal "salary"))
FROM emp
WHERE empno = 7369;
This will create an XML-instance that you can further process.

• Grouping items from query for xml creation

Hello,
I am working on a new photo gallery that uses categories.
Each category is stored in a category xml element. then the images
are stored in the category element. I am having trouble figuring
out how to create this on the fly. With only one category it works
fine but I am having diffuculty seperating it into groups. The db
schema is like this imagePath, imageTitle, imageDesc, category. I
will post the code i am currently using to create the xml now and
show where i need the categories to loop. Thanks in advance. I am
posting a second approach with the code where the query is put in a
array and then I statacially add in what to look for in the array.
This approach would be fine if i could make it dynamic and grab the
Exteriors and Interiors from the catList variable. Thanks again for
any insight on solving this problem.
Justin
Justin

...i would use a XMLListCollection filterFunction for that...
that generates a special view of your collection

• Stack XML creation for specific package

Hello
I want to upgrade my ERP 6.0 EHP4 system's LSOFE 603 to 604 but I received I need a stack.xml for upgrade. Our Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 system is recognising ERP system's SP levels but it is not giving me an upgrade option for LSOFE. I only saw latest SP which was 7 and all other SP's latest levels but not upgrade packages.
How can I create a stack.xml for LSOFE 604?

hi,
If you operate a Netweaver system that contains at least one ERP software component (ERECRUIT, SEM-BW, FINBASIS or LSOFE), you must not use a stack XML file created for an SAP ERP system. Instead, you have to use a stack XML file for SAP NetWeaver systems. The EHP4 packages for the ERP software components have to be added manually in phase IS_SELECT.
Generating the Stack XML File
First of all, create a stack XML file for NetWeaver systems. This can be done either via the SAP Service Marketplace or in the Maintenance Optimizer of your SAP Solution Manager.
check and update.
