Here's the actionscript and sample XML which is working just
fine with the exception being all my XML tags are displaying in the
dynamic text fields and the images aren't loading because it can't
find <image>images/this.jpg</image>
Any assist will be rewarded in the after life.

I found the answer. I was missing the firstChild reference at
the end of each call.

It's actually not easy to do it. There are various regexp ways of doing it. If you search you'll find them. But they are only partial solutions. What you really need to do is write an HTML parser, perhaps using Java's built-in HTML parser. That's the only way to really and truly extract text from HTML. It's a bit of an advanced programming task, though.

My xml is dtd. I have one xml file. i changed the node value after that i want to create a xml file with the same name. I created new xml file but i am not seeing the old dtd in the new file. This process is done with the help of jaxp.

The Transformer API does not guarantee the preservation of that information. You may want to check the DOM L3 Load/Save package (http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/index.html). Alternatively, you may force things by setting the additional output properties 'doctype-public' and 'doctype-system'.

PL SQL Web Service with XML output - Remove the declaration from the proces

Using JDeveloper to create PL/SQL web services it inserts the generic declaration
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>. I want to remove this line from the payload.
Here is the entire payload. Why is this inserted and how do I get rid of it.

One of the user is unable to remove obsolete Tags from new work items and search query

Hi I am new to TFS Administration, User has some obsolete Tags in TFS site which is removed on the Backlogs but user can see those tags when he is creating new work items and while querying the Work Items but he is not able to see any obsolete tags in Backlogs.
TFS version: TFS 2013 SP2
Steps followed:
we queried each tags, we see 0 work items associated with the tags
As per MSDN, we have to remove associated tags which automatically removes the Tags after 3 days
The user is facing the same from past week
Am i missing something? or will the list of Tags be available in new work items and querying WITs? Please help

I tested this scenario in my TFS 2013 Update 4 Server, and found that Tags will disappear from Tags dropdown list automatically after serverl days, if there’s no any work item associated that Tags.

Write in clear, grammatical, correctly-spelled language
We've found by experience that people who are careless and sloppy writers are usually also careless and sloppy at thinking and coding (often enough to bet on, anyway). Answering questions for careless and sloppy thinkers is not rewarding; we'd rather spend our time elsewhere.
So expressing your question clearly and well is important. If you can't be bothered to do that, we can't be bothered to pay attention. Spend the extra effort to polish your language. It doesn't have to be stiff or formal -- in fact, hacker culture values informal, slangy and humorous language used with precision. Spell, punctuate, and capitalize correctly. Don't confuse "its" with "it's", "loose" with "lose", or "discrete" with "discreet". Don't TYPE IN ALL CAPS; this is read as shouting and considered rude. (All-smalls is only slightly less annoying, as it's difficult to read. Alan Cox can get away with it, but you can't.)
More generally, if you write like a semi-literate boob you will very likely be ignored. Writing like a l33t script kiddie hax0r is the absolute kiss of death and guarantees you will receive nothing but stony silence (or, at best, a heaping helping of scorn and sarcasm) in return.
If you are asking questions in a forum that does not use your native language, you will get a limited amount of slack for spelling and grammar errors -- but no extra slack at all for laziness (and yes, we can usually spot that difference). Also, unless you know what your respondent's languages are, write in English. Busy hackers tend to simply flush questions in languages they don't understand, and English is the working language of the Internet. By writing in English you minimize your chances that your question will be discarded unread.

Problem removing html tags from the text retrived

Hi there,
I am using jdbc to connect the database and retriving the data. In one of the columns along with the description there are some html tags in few of the recors of that column. is there a way to retrive the text only ignoring the html tags in between. Or can i retrive and then strip off the html code in the text to display only normal text.
example of the data retrived which are pipe seperated and one of the columns has html tags in it:

Did you read the documentation of the trim() method,
where it describes which whitespace it removes?I believe his problem is that
"Some text here
<blah>
More text"becomes
"Some text here
More text"... and he wants ...
"Some text here
More text"So, your problem is that your regex isn't matching whitespace as well.

How do i prevent getting a xml declaration in the xml response

I am using a soap call to access a webservice via plsql.
The xml response from the webservice starts as follows
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?><soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope">..............
I want to find ways to
1. either prevent the xml tag <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?> from being returned in the response.
2. or somehow convert the entire response to a string and remove it by substr (not sure about this)
The issue i am facing is that when i run a xmltype.extract on the xml to get a particular node i am getting the
ORA-31013: Invalid XPATH expression
when i remove the tag from the response (using hardcoded values) i get the right values back.
Any suggestions are welcome.

The code extract with hardcoded values looks like this. Please note that i added quotes in the xml statement
'<?xml version=''1.0'' encoding=''UTF-8''?>which is not the case when oracle returns the xml and i guess thats the whole issue.
The code below runs perfectly. But when the entire procedure runs where the xml response is returned I get the error.

User Error Needs Help Correcting - Repeatable Tag on Custom Section Attribute

OK, I have v.6111. Today I am manually putting the supplier_eq_create tag on all the the existing attributes in our custom sections so suppliers can add them when we send eQs. Unfortuately, I accidently clicked on the Repeatable tag instead of Supplier_EQ_Create in a couple of instances in our Export/Staging Environment. When I try to remove the Repeatable tag, I get the error that says " row's Repeatable status cannot be altered after the row has been activated" ... we have not actually used the repeatable functionality of the tag. I need to know how I can remove this tag from active attributes due to human error before I import to PROD. Can the forum help me?

As long as you are sure that no-one has consume this you can remove this tag with a database script.
As with every script make sure that you backup your data.
With the following script you can find the rows that contain repeatable tag for a particular section template

Tags are linked to custom section row templates using eaSectionDynamicTagJoins table.
You can remove the tag from a specific row using the following script

I agree with Mylenium. Premiere Elements would be a better program for the post-production.
As for shooting, I would use a background, as those wall plates/outlets really draw the eye. A nice piece of dark grey, non-glossy fabric, like perhaps a velvet, could be taped over the wall, behind your subject. If possible, move the subject a bit farther from any background.
Do not be afraid of composing the subject more tightly, so that one sees more of them, and less background. Even with a "talking head" shot, you can get much tighter with the framing.
I would also go for a bit more controlled lighting on your subject. Even placing a white card, or sheet to one side, just to fill in the face, would be better. Just keep it out of the coverage of the camera. A piece of foamcore, or Gator-foam, would work well. Angle it to fill that side of the subject's face.
The audio was recorded in a fairly "hard," or "live" environment. If the mic is camera-mounted, think about hanging some soft fabric, in a V, behind the camera and operator. The camera would be in the apex of the V. A few quilts would work fine. That should help remove the slight echo of the room, and "soften" the sound a bit.

Adding & removing VLAN tags?

As I recall, switches will add the VLAN tag on frames entering a VLAN configured port & remove the tag once the frame exits the switch. Assuming VTP is enabled in a LAN topology because all VLAN members do not reside on the same switch, is the VLAN tag added & removed on *each* switch traversed?

The tags are added and stripped on ingress and egress from access ports.
If a host sends a frame into a VLAN port on switch A, then the frames traverses a trunk port to switch B, then exits to a host from an access port on switch B, the TAG is applied on switch A, then stripped on switch B. THe frame keeps the tag through the trunk.

I got the answer.
Go to the developers Tab and click on export.
Select the column where we want to delete the duplicates and click on Remove Duplicates from Data Tab.
OR go to Home Tab> Conditional Formatting> High light Cell Rules> Duplicate Values. It will highlight all the duplicate values and then remove them manually.

It is not about the thing that, whether your source is XML or flat file. If you dont want some thing in your source file , dont consider it and dont map it with your target structure. think that, your not getting the header in your source. What is the header here.
