XML in dreamweaver, HELP please
I'm making a site for a magazine, so I need to know how can I
update it's monthly content using XML without having to change the
html document.
It's kind of urgent, please reply.
Which DW?
CS3 has Spry (Adobe's version of Ajax) built in, and it would
be perfect for
this kind of thing.

Flash code into Dreamweaver - Help please!
I am using GoDaddy for my hosting account. It is on a linux
server. I have created an HTML page and loaded it up to the
internet using Dreamweaver, like I normally do. the page in
question is
http://www.desmoinesbilliards.com/gallery.html
When I use dreamweaver to insert the flash movie, it
transfers it as normal, but it will not show up on the website. The
flash movie works fine on the server, just cannot be seen on the
site. I called Go Daddy who said that there is a problem with the
way the code is calling up the Flash movie. I have not altered it
at all from the way that Dream weaver inserts it. The flash movie
is located in a folder on the site called 'flash'. The code is
below. I can't figure it out, any help would be appreciated. The
code that dreamweaver inserts is below. By the way, I use
Professional 8 version of both products.Upload the scripts folder that DW places in your local site
when you insert
Flash on a page.

I figured out that its an issue with alignment in dreamweaver but i have no idea what i've done wrong or can do to fix it!
Im sure the solution is simple but im on a deadline and REALLY NEED help!! Really hope someone can help!!!

PARSING HTML ELEMNETS IN XML FILE?,Help please very urgent
I am getting the input in this form
<ul>
<li>Strategies</li>
<li>Planning</li>
<li>Value</li>
<li>Total Investment</li>
</ul>
I want to convert it into below format so that ContentHandler parse the HTML tages.The HTML elements are dynamic,
contentHandler.startElement("", "ul", "ul", attrs);
contentHandler.startElement("", "li", "li", attrs);
contentHandler.characters(value.toCharArray(), 0, value.length());
contentHandler.startElement("", "li", "li", attrs);
contentHandler.startElement("", "li", "li", attrs);
contentHandler.characters(value.toCharArray(), 0, value.length());
contentHandler.startElement("", "li", "li", attrs);
contentHandler.startElement("", "li", "li", attrs);
contentHandler.characters(value.toCharArray(), 0, value.length());
contentHandler.startElement("", "li", "li", attrs);
contentHandler.startElement("", "li", "li", attrs);
contentHandler.characters(value.toCharArray(), 0, value.length());
contentHandler.startElement("", "li", "li", attrs);
contentHandler.endElement("", "ul", "ul");
Is their any library through which we can convert HTML tags into ContentHandler elements.
Thanks in Advance
Thanks
LakhiActually i am parsing XML file,but i have HTML elements inside XML elements:
<section id='2'><header><line>Agenda( Slide2 )</line></header>
<line>
<h3>Agenda</h3>
<ol>
<li>Overview of ABC Company inc.</li>
<li>Defining and Measuring Employee Engagement</li>
<li>Foresight's Survey Methodology</li>
<li>Online Tools</li>
<li>Standard and Custom Reporting Capabilities</li>
<li>Action Planning and Best Practices</li>
</ol></line></section>
And i am using Contenthandler interface to parse,
attrs.addCDATAAttribute("id",""+i);
contentHandler.startElement("", "section", "section", attrs);
attrs.clear();
contentHandler.startElement("", "header", "header", attrs);
contentHandler.startElement("", "line", "line", attrs);
contentHandler.characters(key.toCharArray(), 0, key.length());
contentHandler.endElement("", "line", "line");
contentHandler.endElement("", "header", "header");
contentHandler.startElement("", "line", "line", attrs);
/*HERE I need to Generate java instruction for HTML elements as i mailed before.for elements like <li>Overview of ABC Company inc.</li>
<li>Defining and Measuring Employee Engagement</li>...................</ol>
contentHandler.characters(value.toCharArray(), 0, value.length());
contentHandler.endElement("", "line", "line");

var myList:XMLList=xml.nodes.node.(category=="fuzzy");
But that doesn't work. Because a given node might have multiple category nodes I thought I would need somethng like this:
var myList:XMLList=xml.nodes.(node.(category=="fuzzy").length());
But that didn't work either. Anybody know how to do this?Actually that does work....
myList=xml.nodes.node.category.(text()=="fuzzy");
for each(var a in myList){
trace(a.parent().title);
It seems there should be a way to combine that parent() bit into the expression.... -

Load XML in intranet ? urgent help please...
Dear friends, I need urgent help: I have a CAYIN screen (which lets me display evetns, etc) and gives me the option of loading/displaying a FLASH (SWF) file, well, I need this SWF to load some XML data ("texto.xml") but seems that when the CAYIN program which executes flash, does not allow the SWF to find the XML in the same folder...
Then I tried many ways to load the XML file with no success till now. Some tries are :
obj_xml.load("\\192.168.0.100\media\texto.xml")
obj_xml.load("\media\texto.xml")
obj_xml.load("texto.xml")
obj_xml.load("../media/texto.xml")
obj_xml.load("\\media\texto.xml")
obj_xml.load("file:\\192.168.0.100\media\texto.xml")
obj_xml.load("..\\192.168.0.100\media\texto.xml")
I guess I am writting something wrong or forgetting something. Would anyone please help me ? because these files are in an internal server "192.168.0.100" (intranet).
Urgent help please, thanks in advance,if the swf is in a directory with subdirectory media which contains texto.xml, use:
obj_xml.load("media/texto.xml") -

I've been told with xml you can make sites like for magazines
and update content easily. But I'd like to know if that's true and
if you can do pages that have images like in this site with xml in
dreamweaver...
http://amedeldesign.com/interiores2/salud.htm
if you navigate through this site(which by the way isn't
finished), you'll see images are in different parts of the content
space, I'd like to be able to put images in diferent places when I
update the page each month and change a bit the design, but be able
to update images and text using xml, is that possible? if not, is
there another way to do that?
Please help me out with this...AdonaiEchad wrote:

Step 1. Go out and buy Dreamweaver 8.
You cannot do it in MX 2004. Working with XML Fragments and
the XSL
Transformation server behavior are new to DW8.

Hi Again!
I posted this problem here before, but since I really need to access the sites that receive this error message in less than a month, I had to re-post; hopefully someone who didn't see it before will see it & have a solution for me.
Here are the details: I'm running windows 8.1 & I use Firefox 33.1.1, Pale Moon 25.1.0 or Opera 26.0 as my browsers, (I have IE installed & up-to-date, but I never use it). I followed the 10-point checklist on Adobe & everything was done, except for "uncheck Hardware Acceleration" in Flash 'Settings'; I tried to uncheck it on this site, where it's indicated, as well as in my 4 browsers when I'm doing something that uses Flash, but no matter how hard I try, I can't 'uncheck' the check mark in that tiny box! Since this error problem only affects 5 web sites, & I can watch streaming media on all other sites, I don't think it's an issue.
Here's how this problem began: I was watching a live, streaming nest-cam on 5/09/14 around 11:00AM, (yes, I DO know the exact time & date, because it happened so suddenly while I was watching this website that I'd been watching since the end of February, 2014), when my screen went black. I thought it was probably an Adobe Crash, but when the usual Crash Report window didn't show up, I just closed Firefox & reopened it, expecting to resume watching the nest-cam. When I went back to the site, I got the black screen with the "Error loading plugin: Plugin file not found" message. The chat portion on the site still works, though. I know there are other sites with this nest-cam feed, so I started trying them, but it took several tries for me to find one that didn't get the error message! I posted this problem on "Windows BBS" forum, & someone else posted that the same thing happened to them AND on the same sites! They didn't have a solution, either. I cleared my cache, rebooted my PC & even did a System Restore, but whatever happened in that brief second made using ONLY 5 sites impossible. Here are the sites that receive the error message:
http://pixcontroller.com/eagles, (but I CAN go to http://pixcontroller.com, but there isn't any streaming media)
http://cbslocal.com/eagles
http://westmorelandconservancy.org/BlueBirdwebcam-1.htm
http://wildearth.tv/cam/pittsburgh-bald-eagles, (I get the error message on ALL cams on this site)
http://aviary.org/BE-NestCam1 (I get the error message on ALL cams on this site)
Now if any videos from the 5 websites above are uploaded to YouTube, I can watch them perfectly...no error message if I watch the videos elsewhere. Luckily, I found Ustream, & they have most of the nest cams I watch, but I need to fix this issue, because it's nearing nesting time! I'm an amateur nest-watcher & it's vital that I have access to these 5 sites, so if anyone knows how to fix this, PLEASE tell me!
Thanks for taking the time to read my post.
All suggestions/solutions are gratefully accepted.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I am pulling my hair out! I am using adobe indesign and just want to make a text box 'autofit text' as I change fonts a lot and want the font to automatically re-size as I change it.
Is it not possible to create a text box, fill it with dynamic (data driven) text, but make the font size either scale up or down automatically, so that the entire text box is filled? This is a feature in PrintShop Mail Pro called COPY FIT. but no such feature in Indesign??
help help help please - I have latest version of indesign - thanks, DJlol... it seems to work, but I have another huge problem!
Apparently .CSV files cannot contain page breaks in the data! The data I am trying to merge is a 'letter', with paragraphs, line breaks, etc.,
But, after data merging, it ignores page breaks and only merges the first paragraph of each letter. (sigh)
Solution? Hopefully, an EASY solution. lol as we have thousands of records.
Is there a third party indesign plugin that will allow .xml, or .xls data merge import??
Thx,
DJ -
Itunes doesn't list all of my recent podcasts. My show is Black Tribbles and it only shows episodes through March 2013, however we do at least two shows a week and they aren't listed. The feed works because the show update to my computer. Help please.
Your feed is at http://blacktribbles.podomatic.com/rss2.xml
When subscribed to in iTunes the recent episodes show, but the Store hasn't updated for some time.
There appears to be an issue with the feed. In the episode 'WRESTLING MARCH MADNESS: Final Bracket & Championship' of 31st March you will find in the 'description' tag the following line:
4. KURT ANGLE
At the end of this line is an invisible character which seems to be wrecking the feed - although it works OK when suscribing in iTunes it won't load in a browser (and I also found the feed very slow to load, which won't help matters with the Store)
This sort of thing usually happens when you paste text in from a word processing application and manage to include one of the invisible control characters. I don't know how easy it will be do do it in Podomatic but you should delete that entire line and retype it to remove this charter.
You should keep an eye on the time it takes the feed to be accessed - if there is a long enough delay (and it was quite some seconds when I tried) the Store may well timeout and fail to read it. At the moment it's showing a cached version from the last time it was able to read it. -
Hide regions in dreamweaver help
I need help please. I am using the server behaviour to show if there is no info.
I have three problems
1. I am a new comer so i am totally lost and learning as i go, now that we are passed the obvious, on to the code.
2. I also have in the list menu the option to select all cars but i dont know how to code for that because my database does not have a field for that.
3. Everything works without the server behaviour to hide records if the query is empty, the only problem is when i search i either get all the records or none at all. The rows are counted correctly but if i use the server behaviour given in dreamweaver i either display everything in my database or nothing from the database.
Please help i have been reading and troubleshooting but nothing is working

Hello,
Every time I try to open Dreamweaver CS4 a message pops up
that says:
"Could not locate the Resources file in the Configuration
folder.
This file is required to run Dreamweaver. Please reinstall
the application"
Could you please help? I am running Windows Vista.Check your dreamweaver instalation in the program files folder.
Program files -> Adobe -> Dreamweaver CS4 -> configuration -> Content -> Reference.
If this folder is not there (and all sub folders not full), then there was a problem with the install of Dreamweaver.
In this case uninstall DW, turn off the user account control (can stop items being installed without informing you, installation then appears to complete without problems), then reinstall.

Tomcat won't work after XP SP2 install?? help, please
Help please!
Hi, I installed a fresh JDK (1_5_0_02-windows-i586-p), JRE (1.5.0_01), J2EE (1.4_2005Q1), Apache web server (2.0.53-win32-x86-no_ssl) and Tomcat (5.5.7) . Everything seemed to work. I installed XP Service Pack 2 and now Tomcat won't compile JSPs. (I don't know if the SP2 install was the cause).
The service Starts okay, but when I try to hit a jsp, Tomcat takes over my processor (at like 80%) and it starts writing to the stdout log (stdout was set to auto), repeatedly. After being up for like 20 min the log was well over 1 GB in size. It showed the below exceptions repeating ad infinitum.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Tomcat, repaired the Apache installation (that shouldn't matter, should it?), and I am going to try reinstalling JDK/JRE/J2EE, but does anyone have any ideas of how I can fix this?

Mar 13, 2005 9:15:15 PM oIs it possible this is resulting from classpaths not
being setup correctly? Could someone please tell me
what my CLASSPATH and PATH enviro variables should be
fod JDK, J2EE, JRE, etc...? Both in general and
specifically to be found by Tomcat. They are
installed in:
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_02
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_02
C:\Sun\AppServer
Thanks!Could be.
I think installing anything in directories whose path has spaces in it is a terrible idea. I'd reinstall the JDK to c:\SDKs or something like that.
There's no need for a system CLASSPATH - ever. You shouldn't have one. Use -classpath when you run javac.exe and java.exe to set the CLASSPATH. Tomcat has its own class loaders. You should deploy your Web apps in WAR files - they'll have the CLASSPATH set for you that way.
Your PATH should include the JAVA_HOME\bin.
set JAVA_HOME=C:\SDKs
set CATALINA_HOME=c:\Tools\Tomcat, or wherever you installed Tomcat.

Will the Power BI Analysis Services Connector work if AD and AAD UPN suffixes don't match?
We are using Azure Active Directory, AD FS, and DirSync with Alternate Login IDs, which means that our on-prem usernames have a different UPN suffix from our AAD usernames. Will the Power BI Analysis Services Connector work in this setup? Or do the A
