XML loading failed

DB: Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.4.0 - Production
ApEx: 3.1.2.00.02
IAS: 10.1.2.3
OS server: Windows 2003 SP1
OS client: Windows XP
IE: 6
Here's the problem:
When I run an ApEx application (e.g. the shipped sample application) items that use XML are not displayed correctly.
This results in two issues:
1)
Flash charts are not displayed. Instead of displaying the chart the text XML loading failed is displayed.
2)
Interactive reports generate a javascript error when I click on a column heading. The ajax-loader image is displayed, but nothing happens. Javascripterror at line 2, character 15193, Unterminated string constant.
The weird thing is that sometimes the issues are solved after a few browser refreshes (F5). Then everything works fine until the database is bounced again.
I tried to follow the link that should provide the XML for the chart
([http://nldev003/pls/apex/apex_util.flash?p=100:1:4337825341367752:FLOW_FLASH_CHART_R300851420764386117_en-us]).
This results in an empty page, source:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></HEAD>
<BODY></BODY></HTML>
I'm not using single sign on or reverse proxy.
All software is installed as described in the install guides.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Iloon,
ApEx generates the correct host: http://nldev003/pls/apex/...
I use port 80, so no port is displayed.
I also tried to append the domain to the servername, but this changed noting.
Again the following HTML code is returned by the apex_util.flash procedure.
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></HEAD>
<BODY></BODY></HTML>
So I do get response from the server, but it's incorrect.
There should be XML content, no HTML.
Kind regards

  • XML Load fails when publish

    thanks,

    Hi Deepak Vohra,
    My message is like this. So, xml schema is not specified in the root element.
    I set it in the DOMParser as I explain below.
    <GMessage xmlns="http://eai.test.com">
    <BI>ErrorManagement</BI>
    <BO>FalloutMsg</BO>
    <MessageId>15181</MessageId>
    <Message>
    <qns:QueueSummaryQuery xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:qns="http://eai.test.com/QueueSummaryQuery" >
    <qns:Request>
    <qns:LocationID>20304</qns:LocationID>
    </qns:Request>
    </qns:QueueSummaryQuery>
    </Message>
    </GMessage>
    I always validate against the same schema. I set it in DOMParser using XSDBuilder.
    DOMParser dp = new DOMParser();
    XSDBuilder builder = new XSDBuilder();
    URL urlSchema = createURL(xmlSchemaURI);
    // Build XML Schema Object
    XMLSchema schemadoc = (XMLSchema)builder.build(urlSchema);
    // Set Schema Object for Validation
    dp.setXMLSchema(schemadoc);
    Thanks,
    Patrick

  • Report XML output fail to load into .RTF layout [EBS r12]

    Hi,
    In EBS r12, we have requirement to have a standard report output in excel.
    I got the report's xml output to create the xml template (.RTF layout) using BI Publisher.
    I created the .RTF layout and it works fine on my laptop using Bi Publisher.. the xml loads into it and i can preview xml data on layout with all format (Excel, PDF...)
    I uploaded the layout to EBS, and assigned it to the standard report.
    I changed standard report out put to XML
    When i go to submit report request, the template is assigned with report and everything seems correct.
    [See screen shot: http://img35.imageshack.us/i/xmlt.jpg/]
    But after i run the report.
    The report is Completed with Warning status.. and output is only XML with Error message :
    This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.
    The Log file says :
    Executing request completion options...
    ------------- 1) PUBLISH -------------
    Beginning post-processing of request 2350601 on node CLONE at 13-APR-2011 09:03:47.
    Post-processing of request 2350601 failed at 13-APR-2011 09:03:48 with the error message:
    One or more post-processing actions failed. Consult the OPP service log for details.
    ------------- 2) PRINT   -------------
    Not printing the output of this request because post-processing failed.
    Finished executing request completion options.
    Why this is happening ? i have done this many times with other standard reports and it worked fine.
    Please advise.
    Standard Report: Supplier Aging Report
    EBS : 12.1.1

    please check the log file and post the output here
    How to find OPP log file?
    To investigate on XML issues or other publishing problems, often the OPP logfile is needed.
    OPP stands for Output Post Processor. Below are the steps to find log file
    1. Login to the application as SYSADMIN
    2. Responsibility: System Administrator
    3. Function: Concurrent --> Manager --> Administration
    4. Select the Output Post Processor
    5. Click on the Processes button
    6. Select the Concurrent Process which was active during the time that the request ran
    7. Click on the Manager Log button to open the Output Post Processor log file

  • Load of XML datstore fails after change of PK in from numeric to varchar

    I am facing the following problem.
    I am trying to load an XML datastore (target) from an Oracle table (source) via an interface.
    The primary key in the Oracle table is of data type varchar. However, the primary key in the XML datastore after reverse engineering is created as datatype numeric. When I change the data type of the XML data store PK from numeric to varchar and then execute the interface the load fails with error:
    Wrong data type for input string.
    Taking the geo_dim.xml in the ODI demo folder as an example I take the following steps:
    - I reverse engineered the geo_dim XML that creates amongst other things the Country datastore in the XML model
    - When reverse engineering, ODI adds surrogate PK keys to the XML datastore. These are of data type numeric.
    - I change this surrogate PK key to data type varchar via the ODI designer and load the XML via an Interface from an Oracle source table that has a PK of type varchar.
    - The load of the XML datastore fails with the error "Wrong data type for input string."
    Looks like a bug to me. Any ideas?
    Thanks
    uli

    I figured this one out myself. As part of the JDBC URL you can submit a parameter ni. If set to false this will generate FKs and PKs as varchar.
    It's in the documentation:
    numeric_id or ni
    No
    boolean (true | false)
    true
    If set to true, all internal Primary and Foreign Keys are of NUMERIC type. Otherwise, they are of the VARCHAR type.

  • XML Load Document in EXE does not run

    LV 8.0 (or 8.01).
    This has got to be a trivial installation problem. I wrote a simple VI that reads in an XML file using the XML Load Document vi. It runs like a charm. I then built an exe. Loading the exe results in the following set of errors:
    Unable to Locate Component
    This application has failed to start because xerces-c_2_2_0.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
    This is then followed by:
    LabVIEW: Resource File not found
    The file 'DOMUserDefRef.dll' is not a valid LabVIEW file
    As it turns out, I just received my 8.01 CDs, so why not? I installed the upgrade, repaired the internet toolkit, sprinkled some distilled water on my keyboard, but the problem did not go away. I then un-installed ALL of LabView, re-installed 8.00, did the hokey pokey, problem is still there.
    Am I missing some vital step? If so, I would love to find out where this is documented.
    I've reduced the problem to just having the XML Load Document vi connected to the Close Reference VI. See the attached VI.
    Thanks,
    fredb.

    XMLBug.vi ‏13 KB

    Hi Casey;
    The XML Load Document is part of the XML ToolKit - that comes with the Internet Toolkit from NI. I'm not sure how I can post NI's toolkits here. They are available in the Toolkit CD (part of the Professional Suite). (I tried to get a screen shot in here - can't even do that!).
    I'll attach a sample XML Doc I've created. It is created by parsing the LVPROJ file in order to find all the dynamic VI's. I'll build one based on a very simple demo project and attach it here. I was able to parse most of it by using the get tag method, but when I went to use the get value - that would always return a blank string - so I gave up, found an example using the internet toolkit - and off I went.
    I do have a workaround (not too elegant) - I create a simple text file each time I write the XML file. I then read the txt file from within the EXE.
    Thanks for looking into this. I did get a pointer from my excellent field engineer (Lesley Yu) who suggested I take a look at...
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/694A29DC644542BC86256E29007CCAC1?OpenDocument
    This recommends I explicitly register the dll. I have not had a chance to try this. I did completely uninstall LV and re-install it. That wasn't it.
    Thanks again,
    fredb.

  • V15 XML Loader Access To Path Not Allowed

    We are just starting to test our V15 sandbox system that has just been upgraded.  We have a transaction that works fine in our older environment (V12.2) but the same transaction fails in V15. The first sequence in the transaction is an XML Loader that tries to load and XML configuration file from the local MII server where the transaction is running.  The action fails with a Access to path /directoryNameHere/fileNameHere.xml is not allowed error.
    As far as we can tell, all of the filesystem/OS level permissions (Linux in our case) are the same as they are in our old environment.
    Other than file/directory permissions, any ideas why this might fail?  Has anything changed in V15 that would potentially impact this?
    We are not specifying a Credential Store alias (listed as optional).
    Thank you,
    Mike

    At some point a 'Default File Path' parameter was added as a system property and it's value may be causing your issue.
    System Properties - SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence - SAP Library
    Default File Path
    DefaultFilePath
    The path on the file system (along with the subfolders) used to store files that need to be accessed by the following workbench actions for read/write operations:
    File I/O
    CreateDirectory
    CreateZipArchive
    DeleteFile
    GetFileList
    WriteFile

    Note
    Access to the files under the previous path (and the subfolders) will be lost if the path is changed.
    If the path is empty, you can access the file system, provided the file system provides read/write permissions. The same holds good for prior releases.

  • XML Loader action URL via global properties with no drive letter

    Trying to use the XML Loader action. If we hard code the URL as "c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Camstar\Errors\logDetails.xml" it works fine. We want to use several global properties to construct the URL as follows.
    Resulting in:
    10.40.4.78\Inetpub\wwwroot\Camstar\Errors\logDetails.xml.
    This does not work in the XML Loader action configuration but will work in IE every time. The XML Loader action throws the following errors.
    [ERROR]: Unable to complete requested action on XML document.
    10.40.4.78\Inetpub\wwwroot\Camstar\Errors\logDetails.xml (Access is denied)
    [ERROR]: ACTION FAILED: End Action XmlLoader_LogDetails : ()
    Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

    Tim,
    Ron is right about IE using the Microsoft magic of switching between Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer to locate the file.
    Your best bet would be to construct a true http formatted string such as:  http://localhost/Camstar/Errors/logDetails.xml
    This would of course be only good for files on the local server, but would also be very upgrade friendly for version 12.0 migration.  UNC paths would not work to other servers or network shares either.
    If the xml files are in the IllumDoc Rowsets/Rowset/Row format you could just as easily use and XMLQuery action block instead of the XMLLoader, which might make it easier you to use the [Param.x] tokens in the template, etc.

    Can any one advice the solution please.
    -Sudheer.

    Hi Sudheer,
    This is caused by the date format you are using. Probably it is not matching with your NLS settings. Check your NLS settings, what the date format is, and use that in the XML.
    Check it with this code:
    SELECT XMLELEMENT("date", sysdate) FROM dual;Make sure, you have your NLS_DATE settings in the same format.
    Check it with:
    SELECT * FROM v$nls_parameters WHERE parameter = 'NLS_DATE_FORMAT'And then make sure it is the same by setting for example:
      ALTER SESSION SET NLS_DATE_FORMAT = 'YYYY-MM-DD';Greetings,

  • XML.load specific port

    Hi,
    I'm trying to load an xml file from
    http://127.0.0.1:8080/foo --
    but it seems that the port is stripped from the call. Is that so?
    The target is FL2 on a Nokia 6630, but I've only access to the
    emulator (Flash 8) right now.
    I get the following trace output:
    Problem loading URL (
    http://127.0.0.1/foo). [from the
    emulator]
    Connection failed:
    http://127.0.0.1:8080/foo [my
    own trace output of the host address]
    The browser has no problem loading the URL. I've looked in
    the FL2 API ref docs but didn't find any mention of ports being
    unavailable.
    Any suggestions?
    Regards,
    Martin

    Hi Martin.
    I just finished running after this issue as well. I can only
    confirm your findings.
    - Both XML.load() and LoadVars.load() request seem remove any
    :Port reference from the requested URI.
    - The request
    http://127.0.0.1:9090/anthing
    actually is caught at 127.0.0.1:80
    - When I change publish setting to Flash Player 8, the ports
    are interpreted correctly, and the request is sent to :9090.
    On the upside - this seems to be true only for the PC
    environment. The ports are interpreted properly on my phone (Nokia
    N70).

    Aprophis,
    I am experiencing the same problem. My company too uses an
    SSL server to allow access to our intranet externally. I believe
    the product is part of Sun One, the guys in charge of it call it
    the rewriter. To me it is a black box which I cannot obtain any
    debugging from.
    Here's what I've found so far:
    1. The SSl "rewriter" reformats all
    urls from http:intranet.mycompany.com to
    https://rewriter.mycompany.com/
    http://intranet.mycompany.com.
    I've found it didn't rewrite <param name='src'
    value='/1695237829.mxml.cfswf'/> and the flash control didn't
    load at all. So I copied the code it generated from view source and
    pasted it below. Now I get the blank space where the flash should
    be and then a copy of it which generates the error,
    RSL Load Failed! 40%.
    2. According to
    a
    discussion on WebmasterKB, the mx code generated has a relative
    path to the CFIDE directory. By CFDUMPing the form
    (var="#formname#") I was able to obtain the mx code. I pasted it
    above the object code that was generated by cfform described in #1
    and wrapped it in CFSAVECONTENT variable="formname". I found the
    code that said, rsl="/CFIDE/scripts/cfform.swc" and modified it to
    be https://rewriter.mycompany.com/
    http://intranet.mycompany.com/CFIDE/scripts/cfform.swc.
    Unfortunately this did not fix the problem.
    3. I also found formScope.send was
    pointing to a relative URL and edited that too, but still no
    luck.
    Have you resolved your problem yet? If, so please share your
    solution. Anybody else out there have ideas on how to solve
    this?

  • How do I script SWF files instead of JPG files in XML loader?

    I have a SWF loader (greensock.com platform) and a thumbnail image scroll underneath it made of small image buttons. Each image button has a link which loads a new SWF file into the SWF loader above. Here is the code for each button which loads the bigger SWF file into the loader above:
    Button3.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, Button3_PlayPopUp);
    function Button3_PlayPopUp(event:MouseEvent): void {
        //setting the sourceVar
        sourceVar="3.swf";
        //making the SWFLoader load
        //as setting the soureVar after the SWFLoader is created won't do anything unlesss
        //I also re-create the SWFLoader with the new sourceVar when the button is clicked
        loader_howToLoader2.url = sourceVar;
        loader_howToLoader2.load(true);
    Then I decided to load all button via XML loader. I followed the tutorial on XML loaders which deals with loading jpg images and assigning URL links to them in the following manner first in XML file:
    <image src="appThmb_imgs/appThmb_imgs117x175/A-illuminatorUpLit_117x175.jpg" title="UpDownGlowingVase" url="http://www.888acolyte.com"/>
    and then in AS3 like this:
    var xmlLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
    thisOne.link = imageList[item].attribute("url");
    function clickScrollerItem(e:MouseEvent):void {
    //trace("clicked item " + e.currentTarget.itemNum + " - visit url: " + e.currentTarget.link);
    var urlRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest(e.currentTarget.link);
    try {
    navigateToURL(urlRequest);
    catch (e:Error) {
    // handle error here
    trace(e);
    My question is: How do I apply the code to each individual small thumbnail button to load a bigger image into the SWF loader above? Do I have to add something to XML file or this way it will never work with jpg images? Can url in XML file set the source var (//setting the sourceVar), since they are all individual and then somehow apply the making SWL loader to load part (//making the SWFLoader load) as a standard somewhere in the AS3 code?

    O.K. Here is my COMPLETE function.
    xmlLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, LoadXML);
    function LoadXML(e:Event):void {
        trace("xml load complete");
        xmlData = new XML(e.target.data);
        //trace(xmlData.image); //we'll see each image xml element listed in the output panel with this xmlList
        buildScroller(xmlData.image); //rather than trace the xmlList, we send it to our buildScroller function
    //build scroller from xml
    function buildScroller(imageList:XMLList):void{
        trace("build Scroller");
        //var scroller_x:int=0;
        for (var item:uint = 0; item<imageList.length();item++) {
            var thisOne:MovieClip = new MovieClip();
            //thisOne.img_width=imageList[item].attribute("width");
            //outline
            var blackBox:Sprite = new Sprite();
            blackBox.graphics.beginFill(0xFFFFFF);
            blackBox.graphics.drawRect(-1, -1, 86, 128);//-1,-1 places rectangle 1px left and up.86, 128 draws rectangle 1px wider on all sides of placed image dimenstions of 84x126
            thisOne.addChild(blackBox);
            //scroller_x += thisOne.img_width + 20;
            //var currentX = currentImageWidth+spaceBetween;//modified line to adjust variable thumb widths
            thisOne.x = (84 + padding) *item;//84 is the width of the loaded images and 15 (which was before paddign var) is the padding
            //thisOne.x = scroller_x;//modified line to adjust variable thumb widths
            thisOne.itemNum = item;
            thisOne.title = imageList[item].attribute("title");
            thisOne.link = imageList[item].attribute("url");
            thisOne.src = imageList[item].attribute("src");
            thisOne.alpha = 0;//makes all thumb images at alpha=0 before they are fully loaded
            //trace(thisOne.itemNum, thisOne.title, thisOne.link, thisOne.src);
            //Loading and Adding the Images
            //image container
            var thisThumb:MovieClip = new MovieClip();
            //add image
            var ldr:Loader = new Loader();
            //var url:String = imageList[item].attribute("src");
            var urlReq:URLRequest = new URLRequest(thisOne.src);
            trace("loading thumbnail "+item+" into Scroller: " + thisOne.src);//url
            ldr.load(urlReq);
            //assign event listeners for Loader
            ldr.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE,completeHandler);//tells us when the loading is complete
            ldr.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, errorHandler);//tells us if there are any typo errors when the loading is complete
            thisThumb.addChild(ldr);
            thisOne.addChild(thisThumb);
            //create listeners for this thumb
            thisOne.buttonMode = true;//makes boxes act as buttons
            thisOne.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, clickScrollerItem);//makes boxes act as buttons
            thisOne.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, overScrollerItem);//traces the title when the mouse is over the bounding box in the Output Panel
            thisOne.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OUT, outScrollerItem);//traces the title when the mouse is out the bounding box in the Output Panel
            //add item
            scroller.addChild(thisOne);
    But I am not sure if I expressed myself clearly. All what you have indicated happens. Images are being loaded and url strings are working. I can not figure out how to tweek the code so instead of url specified in xml file I can load swf image into the SWF loader on the same screen?

  • Windows 8.1 SOFTWARE registry hive load failed on Windows Server 2012

    Hello,
    I am participated in custom Windwows Software backup/restore project development that requires load of Windows SOFTWARE/SYSTEM registry hives from target OS system drive connected to Windows system.
    On all Windows version except Windows 8.1 program works correctly but when host system (on that programm run on) is Windows Server 2012 or Windows 8 and target system is Windows 8.1 registry hive load failed with following error:
    Failed to load f:\Windows\System32\config\software: [1009] The configuration registry database is corrupt.
    After run of 'chkdsk /r' error still remained. All requred security privileges (SE_BACKUP, SE_RESTORE) are applied. All systems are 64-bit.
    Generally even system registry editor (regedit) could not open SOFTWARE hive  from Windows 8.1 with following error:
    Cannot Load f:\Windows\System32\config\software: Error while loading hive.
    But when host system is Windows 7 or Windwos Server 2008 then SOFTWARE hive  loaded without any problem.
    So is there some Windows 8/8.1 registry hives validation mechanism or additional security checks tha prevents load of registry hives fromother OS instance?

    Sorry for later response. I was busy with other tasks.
    The procMon tool shows RegLoadKey is failed when it tried to load the hive on Windows 8.1 (8.1 based WinPE also). On Windows 7, I didn't see the error (Shows Success instead of REGISTRY CORRUPT). Once the hive is load & unloaded on Windows 7 OS, the
    check sum of the hive is changed, and I can load the updated hive with regedit in Windows 8.1 OS.

    It seems to be a bug with Procurement load in BIAPPS 11g, hence we need to contact OS for solving this issue.
