XML not updating

Sometimes when updating my XML, the changes are not reflected
in my application. I'm sure this has something to do with the
browser cache and the XML document being stored locally somewhere
and not being downloaded again. How can I make sure that the newest
XML document is being used? Or is there a method to refresh the XML
and make the new one be downloaded?

You should probably be using a POST request rather than a GET

Recovering iTunes Song List (iTunes Library.xml not updated)

How do I recover the iTunes library song list? My computer recently crashed, so I had to get this new one. The old hard drive is working fine. I just need the song list to be able to identify the songs that I have yet to copy unto my iPod (I arrange the library by 'Date Added'). Since my music files are located in a variety of places, it would be very difficult for me to locate each without being guided by the list.
For some weird reason, the iTunes Library.xml is not updated. It's still dated 2009, so that fix goes out the window, I guess.

ITunes Music Library.xml not updating when adding new songs

I have about 150.000 music tracks on my iMac and iTunes didnt have any difficulty with it. When using the songs in DJ program Native Instruments Traktor Pro, this program checked the latest update of the iTunes Music Library.xml file and everything went ok. Whenever I changed a smart playlist or added songs, my Traktor looked at the updated .xml file and Traktor updated it's own files.
SUDDENLY, and I dont know why, this iTunes Music Library.xml file did not update anymore. Whenever I change a song or add a song, the 'update date' in my finder next to the iTunes Music Library.xml file stays the same (1 May 2010) This means my DJ software does not show the updated/added songs...
Plse help... what should I do... I am a professional DJ and I especially bought this iMac for the purpose of DJ'ing. Because of this issue, I can't use it anymore...

Databound XML not updating

I have an XML variable that is populating controls. The XML is populating the controls as it should, however when I make a change to the data in the control, shouldn't the XML be updating automatically? Or, is there some extra setting up required so that when a user updates a field, it automatically updates the XML?

It is rather simple XML, and it populates the controls.

Incopy link will not update in InDesign and XML Story files

So I have a couple of questions.
I work for a publisher and we have a standard InDesign to Incopy workflow. Recently we have started having issues with InCopy links. First some basic info would probably be helpful. We use Windows XP =(, and we are using InDesign and Incopy CS3. All of our files are on a server. When I or people on my team sometimes attempt to update Incopy links, they will simply not update. Then when we check the link it says that it is zero k in size and is pretty much fried, cannot open in Icopy or InDesign. Why this is so nasty is because if the file cannot be updated all the work in the story that was done in InCopy is lost. Then to make matters worse, if we unlink the incopy file sometimes when we go to save indesign completely crashes. Is this a permissions issue as our IT department is fairly ignorant about design workflows on servers and has been inconsistent about the permissions. Also these .xml files seem to be populating the folder where we keep our InDesign files, when we open them they have basic information on the story links. I have attempted to find out more info on these files but have had very little luck.

XML MAPPING - swf not updating

When I make a change to the xml file it is not picking up the change in my published swf file. When I open the project in CX and refresh the mapping updates.
So it is connected but when I click on "refresh" on the sxf it is not updating.
I have xml maps, added in the data connection manager, with a refresh button tied to the xml connection. I also have the refresh on load checked in the connection manager.

Shamim my scenario was that I wanted the SWF on a network so that a call center employee could access the file from a mapped drive, open the file direct on her/his client machine. My problem was that I developed the file on the server machine and mapped the data connection path to the XML initially from the server, not the scenario of a client machine's path looking for the file. (not sure if cache is the right term)
Initial Path from server development.. D:\Datafiles\data.xml
The client machine(s) network path, mapped drive was Z: for example. In the excelsius model you need to bind the data path to the excel model and hardcode the Path that the client machines will go thru to access the data. This solved my issue perfectly. Z or name of the mapped drive mapped to the server.
Z:\Datafiles\data.xml
So now if your on the server machine and try to open the file from the swf you will incur the error message that correlates to the swf not being able to find the data. From the clients works fine but not from the server machine as the path has to be exact for the swf to find the data file.

I have a question for trying to deploy this same example on th server embedded into a swf movie player to the web. Might have been my path issue, cross domain policy file... But I could not get it to be deployed in a website, live. If you are familiar with this please explain to me.

Update Retriever - HelloLevel_8_07_00.xml not existing in SSClientCommon folder

Hello,
Yesterday I installed a clean installation of the latest Update Retriever (updateretriever402-2011-07-27.exe) on our server and configured the latest System Update client (systemupdate401-2011-07-25.exe) to connect to it for automatic update retrieval.
This worked out fine yesterday, client connecting to the internal server and retrieving the updates.
This morning this does no longer worked, checked the tvsu_log file on the client reveals that this seems to be caused by the a file named HelloLevel_8_07_00.xml not existing in the SSClientCommon folder on the internal update retriever server.
Checking the content of the target dir on the internal server does indeed show that that file is not present, others are.
Please advice as to what the reason and solution can be.

That looks like the logic which was written into the VI
Inner true/ false case:
(file exists : false) write to XML file, unflatten for display
(file exists : true) read from XML file, unflatten for display
At no time when the file exists (true case) is the XML file updated...

Publish cloud service fails from Visual Studio 2013 Update 4: Published Asset Entry for Image Microsoft.Azure.Diagnostics_PaaSDiagnostics_europeall_manifest.xml not found.

I have a cloud service project with two roles (service and worker). In Visual Studio 2013 Update 4 when I choose "Publish..." from the "Solution Explorer", it opens "Microsoft Azure Activity Log" and quickly terminates.
Here the log:

All works fine when uploading the package and updating from https://manage.windowsazure.com/. It only fails from within Visual Studio.
What can I do to get it working?

I have the same problem with our Azure project. Two web roles (service and worker). Just updated from SDK2.2 to SDK2.5 and Visual Studio 2013 Update 2 to Update 4. The main reason behind this was to move from log4net to WAD and in doing so, of course directly
move to the new diagnostics version.
Now, I get the same error message in Visual Studio:

but this is no problem - so what's the meaning of or solution to this error messages?
What I found so far:
I deployed the Azure project from the same development environment to another Azure test service: Deployment
showed no errors and the service is running fine! So the problem is not with the source, the development environment, library dependencies etc.
Trying Azure cmdlets for PowerShell also work fine for the new service and fails for the production service with almost the same error message:

I think i should explain my requirements in more detail. I'm working on different Employee Self Service Scenarios. The User Interface is a Webdynpro which can be called form the Portal. In Background a Workflow is trigger and all following steps can be executed through the UWL.
For each Scenario it is possible to enter different date by the user. As the data is used in the workfow i would like to set it into the container by an generic Function Module for all scenarios. i have modify the data STREET to "ANG MO KIO"

I am using Time2Way T01, if it is when i sync the data will be uploaded, or do i need to configure somewhere to get the data upload ?
if the data in client and middleware is different, when i sync , the data from the middleware will again download to the client replace the modified values

the data in the client will uploaded to the middleware and trigger the MODIFY bapi wrappers ?

i am modifying the rows, not Insert a new row, the Action:'I' instead of 'M', pls clarify on this.
after i sync, i found out that there is 2 record with different syncKey but same primary key and all attributes appear to be same except the attribute that i changing.

7) when i check my client , the data is persisted with modified value , but the changes is not reflected in the server, how come the data in client is not uploaded to the server.
acceptClientSyncBo will make the client wins how come the data is not get updated in server ?

But one main think here have to consider is , if you have created one Sync Bo instance , not synchronized with back end and u have modified that, then thats just like a creation .So during sync this will call Create Bapi Wrapper.

But after synchronization , is u are modifying that instance , then it is a modification(will call MODIFY Wrapper in back end during synchronization). u must have the right to modify this instance in the client side.

ADF master-detail master selection not updating detail tables properly

Hi All,
I am using JDev version : 11.1.2.0.0
I created new Fusion Web Application Module. In that module I created a master-detail data model and added them to a page fragment with a query panel. When I run it as a separate module, It works perfectly and Master selection correctly updates detail tables.
But when I integrate that module to another Fusion Application(Add application jar file to the Master Application libraries), Master-details master selection not updating detail tables properly. This problem occurred sequentially.
The problem is that.
After the page load, first selection of the Master Table works correctly and detail tables update correctly.
But second selection doesn't work, means detail table doesn't get update according to the Master table.
And again in the third selection works correctly.
This happens in a sequential manner. I monitor the behavior using Firebug. Observations are as follows,

Hi,
sound to be an implementation specific issue that is hard to comment on without knowing how to reproduce it. If you have a rerooducible test case based on the Oracle HR schema using JDeveloper 11.1.1.6, zip it up, rename the "zip "extension to "unzip" and sent it to the mail address you find in my OTN profile. If you don't have that test case, explain how this can be reproduced

Issue with my podcast not updating to subscribers

Hi,
I recently took over podcast duties for our podcast. And around a month before I took over (mid-march) I began recieving complaints that the podcast wasn't updating to subscribers. It seems to be mostly from people using the IOS podcast ap. I am using it myself, and I can search for the podcast and find it, but as a subscriber the podcast will not update automatcially, or aknowledge that a new podcast has been uploaded. I am aware that it can take a few days to update from my feed, but it still should alert subscribers when a new podcast is uploaded.

The latest episode in it is 29 April, and this shows in the Store and when subscribing in iTunes on a Mac, so all this is normal.
I don't have an iOS device so I'm not in a position to check if there are any problems there. Your server does handle the required 'byte ramge requests' so it ought to work OK, but if it doesn't I can only advise asking in the iPhone forum - everything in the feed seems to be correct.

Why is my iMessage app not updating?

I have used (and LOVE) the iMessage app on my Macbook Pro. Has worked perfectly, even through iOS7 upgrades, and the Mavericks update, as well.
However over the past few days, it will not update correctly. I can send messages from it, but it does not show the incoming messages most of the time. They come through just fine to my phone and iPad, but not on my Mac... any thoughts as to why this is occurring?

Turns out that Feedburner was overruling the code in my XML with their "Smartcast" settings, which I have now disabled. Weird!

I'm trying to add several Sales Orders contained in a XML document, whose root element corresponds to the Sales Person created that XML. Anyway, after I fill a Sales Order Document Object with the info in the XML and try to add it the following error appears: "Exchange rate not updated [RDR1.U_Desc4][line: 2] , 'USD'" Which is strange because this company handles most of its transactions in MXP Currency. I will post the piece of Code that fills the object hoping it helps:

If you look at the code I've even tried the solution of hardcoding the DocRate and the Currency as seen in a similar post about the DTW.
Sorry if code is in Spanglish, its quite late around here. I hope you can help me because it's kind of an urgent matter and I can't seem to find a solution for it.

Hi Alfredo,
Have you tried to add the same salesorder by hand, I think you wil first get a form with exchange rates.
I think you should add a check to your program to check for an update currency rate (the sbobob function GetCurrencyRate does this for you).
GetCurrencyRate MethodDescription
Returns a Recordset object that contains the currency rate for a specified date and currency code.
See Currency Bobs sample.
Syntax
Public Function GetCurrencyRate( _
   ByVal Currency As String, _
   ByVal Date As Date _
) As Recordset
Parameters
Currency
Specifies the currency code.
Date
Specifies the date for the currency exchange rate.
Return Type
A Recordset object that contains one field named CurrencyRate that holds the rate value.
SAP Business One returns 0 if the system cannot find the exchange rate.
