  • SMDIAG_WIZARD and XML template for EWA

    Hi all experts,
I'm in SolMan 4.0 SP12 want to make a EWA report from Enterprise Portal 6.0.
    1) I have a problem when I run SMDIAG_WIZARD to my Enterprise Portal 6.0. error : <i>Localization failed: ResourceBundle='com.sap.engine.services.rfcengine.RFCRes jktgrhxsapepq (RC=)</i>
    any idea?
    2) I also try to setup from host:port/smd/wizard . On managed system setup, I can't go to the next step for setup.
    Error in troubleshooting :
<i>XML Template could not be read : com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.ParserException: XMLParser: Bad Attribute value(:main:, row:2, col:15)(cause=com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.ParserException XMLParser: Bad Attribute value (:main:, row:2, col:15))
    </i>
where's the location of xml template that to be transfered in SolMan system ?
    Thanks n Regards,
    adh

    Hi,
You should not use the smd/wizard and troubleshooting section. If you managed system is not yet setup please follow chapter 4.5 of
    https://websmp201.sap-ag.de/~sapdownload/011000358700000548322007E/Setup_Guide_Solman40SPS12.pdf.
But all you are doing there is not correlated with EWA. You will be able to setup EWA as soon as SMD has been completely setup. For more information about EWA for non ABAP please see <b>SAP Note 976054</b>.

  • Can I Re-Map Cube using XML template ?

    Hi,
I'm running the latest versions of olap 10g (Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 ) and AWM (10.2.0.1).
I have a cube built with compressed composites partioned on time.
I am loading 4 different hierarchies on the location dimension. (the lowest level
are different cuts of data and not related). I can successfully load and aggregate the cube by re-mapping a different relational table to the cube and maintaining the cube in AWM . This requires 4 passes. Everything works fine and I get the desired result.
The issue is that when I try to automate this ..the load (sql script I saved in AWM) doesn't know that the cube was re-mapped even though I saved a new sql script for each of the 4 passes. It takes the initial mapping on each load.
I need to re-map a different relational table to the cube in between loads. (Can't use a view because I'm mapping to a different level in the cube each time).
Is there a way I can use part of the XML template to accomplish this ? I can save
an XML template for each mapping but don't know how to read it back in with out
    blowing away the existing cube.
Thanks & A Verry Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday to All !!
    Mike

    watrost,
    thanks for your reply...
I did infact try what you describe thru olap DML. It worked fine when the cube was not defined with compressed composites. When using compressed composites the load of the measures into the cube worked fine but the aggregation was so slow ... On my test cube it took over 1 hour to aggregate 1 variable that took 2 minutes using the script that AWM generated and about 5 minutes with the olap dml and no compressed composites. On a larger cube with production data I canceled the OLAP dml aggregation after 24 hours. The AWM script ran in 1 hour. I need the compressed composites because of the sparsity and size of the cube without them. Do you know if there is any additional code needed for aggregation when compressed composites are involved. I used the aggmap generated by AWM for the aggregation
    thanks

    Thank you Eugen and Hussein.
The problem is not with the template.
It seems to be a problem in that particular instance.
Uploaded it in a different instance.
However once i run the program, i cannot view the output as the browser window flashes and disappears.
My colleague says , it is to do with the trusted site to download something from the browser.
Can you please guide me on how to fix this ?

  • Using Office 2013 group policy template to define Trusted Locations and Template Locations doesn't work

    User Configuration/Policies/Administrative Templates
    - Using Office 2013 group policy template to define Trusted Locations and Template Locations doesn't work
    Microsoft Word 2013/Word Options/Security/Trust Center/Trusted Locations
    - Allow Trusted Locations on the network:
    Enabled
    - Trusted Location #1:
    Enabled
    Path:  //server/sharedfoldername   [Edit:  Path:
    \\server\sharedfoldername]
    Date: June 10, 2013
    Description: Trusted Location
    Allow sub folders: Enabled
The policy appears to apply to the client correctly by adding the following registry key and values:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\office\15.0\word\security\trusted locations\location1
    allowsubfolders: 1
    date: June 10, 2013
    Description: Trusted Location
    Path:  //server/sharedfoldername  [Edit: Path:
    \\server\sharedfoldername]
However, when you open Word Options/Trust Centre/Trust Centre Settings…/Trusted Locations
There are no trusted locations listed under ‘Policy Locations’
I have tried setting similar settings for setting the Shared Templates folder location and just like the trusted locations policy, the registry keys are created properly in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies however word doesn’t
    seem to recognize these either.
This used to work flawlessly using the administrative templates for Word 2007 and 2010. Has anyone been able to get these policies to apply successfully, or know why office doesn’t recognize these settings from the Policies registry
    Key?

This would have been an easy solution to the issue.  Unfortunately it isn't the problem.  This question was originally posted on another Microsoft site and
was transferred here and when it was transferred the path's changed from the original post:
\\server\sharedfodlername to //server/sharedfoldername.  (I will edit the question to show up as it did in the original post) Not sure how that happened.  This
is still an issue that I haven't been able to get working correctly.
As it turns out the 'New from Template' interface Word 2013 has developed is very bulky with large thumbnails and is not very customizable nor practical for an office
that has a large number of templates.   Because I am unsatisfied with the display and performance of the 'New' template chooser I sought after a solution to change the way word creates a document from a template in another thread:
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2013_release-word/how-can-you-change-the-display-of-templates-in/d49194b9-a6b4-4768-8502-7d7b50e9dd65 working through this issue with Jay we were able to develop
some VB script with handles a very large number of templates in a list view and it works much faster than the built-in Word interface.  The above thread is how I've worked around trying to define a shared template location and I am quite happy with it.

  • How to sort Data in XML template (rtf) file?

Hi, I have an oracle 11i custom report (rdf) with an xml output to a PDF. There is a formula column in the report. Now I need the data to be sorted on this formula column. As we cannot sort on formula column, i have decided to find a way to sort it in the data in the XML template. But I don't really know how to sort and also where to specify the sort tag in the rtf file. I appreciate your response.

Note : I posted this question under : XML General forum also. But did not get any response. I assumed that may be thats not the right place to post it as my report is in e-Biz environment.

    Hi
As long as you don't have your ^field commands grouped inside a ^group the order in the .dat file is not important. Your last command
    ^field BG_DOC_LN__LN_AM
    246624.12
should populate field BG_DOC_LN_AM wherever you place it on your form. Obviously you need to name the fields according to your ^field commands and not just use tab (move to next field).
Shout if this was not what you are asking.

  • Using XSL-XML template to convert name value pairs into XML elements

    Hi,

I need to convert this using a XSL-XML template in BI publisher to return XML in the following format, while doing some conversion, e.g. converting countrycode from GBP to UK:
    <?xml version=”1.0”?>
    <body>
    <title>Mr</title>
    <firstName>Joseph</firstName>
    <middleNames>George Harry</middleNames>
    <lastname>Smith</lastname>
    <countrycode>UK</countrycode>
    </body>
Would appreciate if anyone could point me in the correct direction.

    Hi Sweta,
Why MTB??? Message Transformation bean is used to change the format of the message... If you are planning to call any XSLT or java mapping through that then you can give it a try..
    >>how to get the last and first 3 special characters in the output text using MTB?
Put them in message mapping itself and write it in File

  • Background color change for  XML Template

    Hi All,
We have created a xml template for creation of news using xml form builder. When we are creating a news by using this template the background color of the news always shows SAP default color (light blue) for both Renderlist and Show forms. Our requirement is to change the background color.
Any help can be appreciated  and points will be rewarded immediately.
    Thanks,
    Satya

    Hi Satyadev,
    You have 3 options:
Within the forms builder you can get a white background by setting the form to either "border" or "no border".  This is done by clicking anywhere on the form (where there is no other element) and modifying the "style" property
You can modify the portal theme so that the background colour is your choice.  However this will affect all forms in the portal, not just this one.
Or you can manually modify the form XSL stylesheet.  This involves typing the html code to apply your chosen colour.  However, this modification is lost if you re-generate the XML forms project, so this should be a last resort.
    Hope this helps,
    Chris

  • Working with Flash content in XML template

My knowledge base of html and DWCS3 is limited. My knowledge of Flash CS3 is better and have built a web site using it.
This is a newbie DW question. Am working on an XML template, which contained the following folders:
    site_flash folder containing:  main_v8.swf, tfile_main.xml, style.css, index (firefox doc) (+gallery stuff)
    flash folder containing: main_v8.swf, main_v8.fla, tfile_main.xml, AC_RunActiveContent (JSS file) (+gallery stuff)
I was told by the template people to use the site_flash folder but there are no visuals (Design views), to work with and could not access Flash through DW to alter the files in Flash. When I can get a Design view in DW, all I get is the f symbol. In all the tutorials I've watched on DW, there is a Design view to work with.
SO, I used the flash folder and adjusted the main layout in the .fla file to suit my needs, and worked on the tfile_main.xml document in DW and they seemed to be 'talking' as my changes were recognized. When I test the file from either Flash or DW, it is perfect. But when I run it from my test folder through the server, the page formatting is off (page pushed down, menu buttons squashed, etc). There is no style.css sheet in the flash folder.
Am willing to go back and start over with the site_flash folder with CSS page if this will resolve things, but don’t know how to edit the flash layout through DW. I need a Design view…am very weak in the html side of things.
    Test run:  http://www.mackenziemode.com.au/test.html
Any advice you can give would be helpful.
    The Not-feeling-so-Handy Ma'am

In followup to my own frenzied query, in case anyone else is having the same problem, the solution to the 'squashed'
web site (that's works perfectly on testing outside the browser) is to upload the main.xml file in binary mode.

  • Issue generating pdf from xml template, data and StreamServer webservices

We purchased Abode LiveCycle Premium Print ES4. It included a product called StreamServe which we planned to use to merge xml templates and data into a pdf file using a StreamServe webservice (for developers). It seems the StreamServe webservices are not equal to that task.  Can anyone offer a hint how this automated pdf generation can be achieved using LCPP?  (I suspect it can be done using Workbench but I don't know this to be a fact.)
    TIA,
    Bill

Was that another shameless book plug??
Sorry, gotta run. I just got word the Fed Ex delivery of my copy of your book just arrived. Do you 'e-sign' personalized copies?
p.s. The preview of Chapter 7 (Transforming XML with XSLT) is great and filled with good clean examples and explanation.

  • XSL-XML Templates

    Hello,
My requirement is generate xml output file using BI Publisher. I think xsl-xml template will generate xml output from xml extract.
Is there a easy way of developing xsl-xml templates using BI Publisher for given XML Extract? I know we can write a xsl file manually but looking for a tool where I can drag and drop. I read this article: http://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/entry/building_xsl_templates
However, In my Jdev, I do not see an option of Inregration tier to map. Any info. on this is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

I have changed the filter but still not showing up Integration tier. I am on JDev 11g Release2. Please let me know if I have to switch to different version of JDev or any other settings that I need to do.
    Thanks again for your info.

  • XML Template was not working correctly in 11.5.9

    Hi
I am currently working on XML rtf template for Invoice. And the rtf XML template is working fine (getting results as expected) in 11.5.10 but the same rtf is not working fine in 11.5.9( not getting the results as expected). My current version of XML Publisher in 11.5.9 is 4.5 and in 11.5.10 is 5.6. My question is there any to make the rtf work correctly in 11.5.9 aslo.
    Thanks,
    Ram.

I have seen such issues earlier. What you can do is to either upgrade xml publisher version or you have to play around with template a bit like adding dummy rows with lines invisible and consume very less space, dummy columns etc to get desired results

  • Setting the shared templates location by Deploying Office 365 Midsized Business "using a network share" from a on-premise location

I found the question "Deploy Office 365 pro plus using a network share or from a on-premise locaiton" the most useful of the resources
on MS yet - but I am having difficulties getting the files to download for a local deployment.
The root of the issue, that I cannot find anywhere, is how do I set the shared templates location for users in the organization.  First I thought a GPO, but I cannot find that setting in the GPO in MS.
Then I thought modifying the REG- but it is in a binary key which could include other information I may not want modified(Or does it matter?)
Then I looked for ways to download the deployment but launching from an elevated prompt as IT (Domain level) returns a useless error to paraphrase- 'sorry MSOffice didn't install- do you have enough disk space'.
I have downloaded the GPO objects, but not installed them, likely I will need those later though.
Just want to path all the users to a central repository of office/excel/access/outlook templates in addition to their local templates. Concise help in steps or sites that have solved the issue are Greatly appreciated : )

    Hi,
you can use the GPO ADMX templates to configure the "Workgroup templates path".
This actually configures a registry setting named: "sharedtemplates".
    The registry value/type/data is:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\office\15.0\common\general
    Name: sharedtemplates
    Type: REG_EXPAND_SZ (Expandable String Value)
    Data: <UNC path to folder>
From the GPO reference workbook/sheet, for Office:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/4976.selected-content-relating-to-group-policy-administrative-templates-adm-and-admx.aspx
    Filename: office15.admx
    Scope: User
    Path: Microsoft Office 2013\Shared paths
Policy Setting Name: Workgroup templates path
Supported on: At least Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7
    Category: Shared paths
Explain Text: Specifies the location of workgroup templates.
    Registry Key: HKCU\software\policies\microsoft\office\15.0\common\general!sharedtemplates
Note: it is supported to populate this setting, with a UNC path, but not with a web path.
    e.g.: \\server01\shared\templates <this is valid>
    e.g.: http://server01/shared/templates <this is not valid>
This constraint (for web URIs) can be difficult to work around. If you are using SharePoint, and think WebDAV might work, it doesn't seem to work for us :(
Of course, if you have SharePoint, there are much better ways to handle document templates, but, our users are familiar with this File -> New -> from template type of method...
It can also be set manually by a user:
    Don
(Please take a moment to "Vote as Helpful" and/or "Mark as Answer", where applicable.
This helps the community, keeps the forums tidy, and recognises useful contributions. Thanks!)

  • Where are the MetaData Templates located in PS C6 on a Mac?

Where are the MetaData Templates located in PS C6 on a Mac that you can add your contact and copyright information to?
On a Windows machine they are located in Owner/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/XMP.  I have some templates that I want to copy from a Windows laptop over to a Macbook Pro.
    Thanks, Bill

I’m on Mac OS 10.6.8 and there it seems to be
    ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/XMP/Metadata Templates
I think as of OS 10.7 Macintosh hides the Library, but one can get there by alt-clicking the Go-menu and selecting it from there … or something.
