XPATH building assistant locks up in JDev 10.1.2 beta 3

When I attempt to use either the XPATH building assistant or XPATH expression builder in JDev 10.1.2 beta 3 it locks up JDev apparently going into a tight loop using 99% of the CPU and it won't come out. I end up killing the process. I've tried several different techniques to work around the lock up but can't seem to bypass it.
The building assistant locks up almost right away, while the expression builder waits until I'm finished constructing the expression.
I can't get very far with this condition. Any help would be appreciated.

I tried to reproduce it but couldn't due to missing XSDs and wsdls used by your project.
I can see some schema import from URL in your project WSDL :
<import namespace="http://www.eds.com/ns/iC" schemaLocation="http://localhost:9700/orabpel/xmllib/providerEnrollment.xsd"/>
and
a online wsdl :
http://W2ZZZZIDNN:9700/orabpel/default/licenseReceipt/licenseReceipt?wsdl
Without these artifacts, process doesn't find the variable definition.
I have few suggestions :
1. Make sure you have XSDs in right place and the XSDs are valid.
2. Make sure your engine is started otherwise those XSDs won't be accessible.
3. Go to Jdeveloper->Tools->Preferences->Web Browser and Proxy [Set it right] but if it localhost then I don't think it is required.
If possible pass those XSDs as well to me so that I can verify that those XSDs are working fine with our tool.
Please pass me the WSDL as well.

How to add own CustomXPathFunctions to the JDev XPath builder

I'd be interested to know, if it is possible to add my own CustomXPathFunctions to the JDeveloper BPEL designer so that the XPath builder would recognize them and provide the helps in building the expression. Now, all my own functions are not recognized by the XPath builder although the BPEL engine can run them.

I have a major problem when uploading Builds via the Application Loader (2.9.1) to iTC.
- I use Flash CC 2014 to create my iOS Apps.
- I recreated my certificates, p12 and mobile provisioning profiles.
- I can Upload my Builds via Application Loader without any error messages. Everything is fine here!
- Then in iTC it takes several minutes (5-45) until the Apps Appear.
- I am able to "Add a Build" in the first "Versions" Menu!
BUT in "Prerelease" it looks like this:
... all Builds are marked as "Invalid Binary"
Message: "Build 1.2.2 does not contain the correct beta entitlement. For more information, see the iTunes Connect Developer Guide."
Even though all Builds are marked as "Invalid" they can be selected and I can submit them for review.
... the sad thing is - another App with the same Status "Invalid Binary" is waiting for review for almost 2 weeks now and nothing happens.
Can anyone please tell me what I have to do? It seems Apple does not review Apps with this Status . Normally I get an email from iTUnes connect saying something like:
"Dear developer,
We have discovered one or more issues with your recent delivery for "XYZ". To process your delivery, the following issues must be corrected:
... but this time - NOTHING! :-(

System Assistant locks up when I try to Migrate

I'm using a new-ish G5 (10.3.9) and trying to migrate my G4 stuff to the new system. Using System Assistant, I am able to begin the process. It makes very long estimates initially - 35 hours to move about 45 gigs of data. These shrink rapidly, but then eventually lock, at seemingly random moments. I left it running overnight but it locked again with 6 hours 40 minutes to go.

EDIT: I'd try a restart first in case some incomplete download or file in use, first.
Go to /Applications /Utilities/Terminal and launch it.
At the prompt, copy and paste this command
sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash
Press Return.
You will be asked to enter your admin password. It will be invisible.
Enter it and press Return.
Log out and back in or restart.
Let us know.

2 uc500 tasks? building door locks and door phone?

Every install seems to present unique requsts from each client.
Client has a uc540. Currently they have a keyfob door lock system at the front and back doors of the building. They have a phone/speaker at the front door. Appears to be avaya - but so not sure. This is all tied into an antiquated phone system the uc540 will replace.
When a person arrives at the front door, they hit the intercom. This rings 3 different extensions. Then the user at the phone can bunch a sequence or hard button on the phone to unlock the front door.
Anyone provided a solution like this for the uc540? I've seen some remote door locks that operate thru SIP a year or so ago I believe. I know how to configure a "lobby" phone that when picked up, dials a dedicated extension and immediately goes 2-way intercom. I imagine there would be something along the same lines where a picked up handset could auto-dial a parallel hunt group?

Boot Camp Assistant Locking Up During Partitioning

I've rebuilt the drive using Diskwarrior (Drive Genius was suggested to defrag it in another thread, DW does the same thing) After rebuilding it, the program locked up still but at least it didn't leave the invisible partition I had to repair with Disk Utility.
I've tried many different sizes, 100GBs, 80GB and 60GBs, all locked up at the same point
I ran hardware test and got this error
4SNS/1/40000000 : TCOD-101.750
Googling the error code got no results, so I'm not sure if it's related or not
Any other ideas before a full wipe? I really want to play Witcher 2 :<
On that note, what qualifies as a bad hdd? I've had this computer for about a year, and a few months ago due to bootcamp not installing and the computer reporting errors Apple wiped my drive and it was fine.... for a few months and now I have issues again

you have to backup, reformat the entire drive, and restore.
DW only builds a new directory, period.
There are some hidden GPT and EFI partitions that also have to be free of bad blocks and healthy, but only way to fix those is rebuild the drive via reformat, or in Apple-ese, ERASE. As in "WDxxxxxx" (not "My Computer" volume.

Bootcamp assistant locks up during partitioning

I have tried running Boot Camp assistant twice now, and both times it has locked up during the partitioning process. After the first lock up I booted into the recovery disk and ran disk utility. I repaired the disk and repaired permissions on the disk to see if that would help. But it still locked up when it got to the partitioning part of Boot Camp assistant. I was wondering if any one had any advice on why this may be happening.

Cross system object lock -how to build up lock entries for existing request

Hello,
we implemented ChaRM for some years and intend to activate cross system object lock (CSOL), now.
But there are a lot of existing transport requests, which have not been imported to productive system, yet.
It would be very helpful to create lock entries for objects, which are assigned to those transport requests.
Does anyone know any standard report for this purpose?

Report TMW_TRKORR_LOCK_UPDATE (executed in satellite system) will lock the objects of a transport request in solution manager system.

Build and run Rules with Jdev Integrated Web Determination Server

Hi
I created the rule using Oracle Policy Modeling (OPM). Then built and deployed with Embedded Tomcat web determination server. Successfully done it.
Now I have to run the same rule under Jdeveloper Integrated Server. As I know, current version of OPM doesn't support any external server other than Tomcat. In that case I have to copy the output from OPM to JDev Integrated server manually.
Let me know the server location where I have to copy the rule from OPM to Jdev Server.

There are a couple of ways of deploying a new rulebase into OPA running on weblogic.
These can be found in the documentation in the Oracle Policy Automation Developer's Guide (http://docs.oracle.com/html/E38272_01/toc.htm)
1. The first way is to redploy the OPA runtime .war (web-determinations or determinations-server) when a new rulebase is built. These war files are created in the releases directory of the OPM project. When a new release is built the rulebase is embedded in the .war file
2. The second way is to re-deploy the rulebase only. The rulebase is called <project name>.zip and is found in the output directory of the OPM project.
To use the second approach in weblogic you must configure the OPA runtimes to use an external directory. See the Manage rulebases and application.properties sections of the Oracle Policy Automation Developer's Guide.
Then decide if you want to 'hot-swap' (deploy immediately after copying a new rulebase to this directory. If you do not use hot swapping, you will have to restart the web application when you deploy a new version.

Migration assistant locked up at 5-8 minutes

Im trying to run migration assistant, and it went for three hours then got stuck at the applications folder. it has said between 8 and 5 minutes for over an hour. is there a safe way to shut it down?

If I can read it right, it says on step 2:

I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but for me, that means "yon can't install Lion from any other system version than 10.6.8"
I don't think it's fair either. Leopard owners will have to buy 2 systems, but advertised, it definetely was.

How to build a lock escalation tree?

Concurrent users lock many rows in different tables. Sometimes
one session waits to lock row, which is locked by another
session.
Locks are made by SQL statements.
I would like to present tree of SQL statements which lock (first
level) and as children SQL - statements waiting for release lock
by their parents.
It would be very helpul in finding dependencies and app places,
where deadlock can occur.
Do you know system SQL statement or tool, which could produce
result I need?

If you wanted you could also add username and osuser from

X300 XP build - trackpoint locks up

I rebuilt the X300 with XP SP2, it was easy with good documentation from Lenovo and the system update tool.
I have 2 bugs hoping someone may have some information on:
If I connect a USB WWAN card the trackpoint stops responding, if I connect an external mouse its fine but the trackpoint wont work again until I reboot. Anyone come across this?
Other bug is the integrated camera, it gives a " Max Headroom" take on video :-) picture is really jerky. I tried Netmeeting and Office Communicator 2005 and both behaved similarly

I think the USB WWAN card may be related to the AT&T software overwriting the trackpoint driver (assuming you are using AT&T WWAN). I believe this is fixed with the latest version of the comm manager software:

I have not run into the other issue around Office Communicator personally, however I have heard the 2007 version fixes this.

Can't access otherwise in switch from GUI in JDev 10.1.2 beta 3

When trying to populate multiple cases of a switch JDev is not allowing me to open the <otherwise> tag from the GUI. It doesn't seem to recognize it as anything but normal text.
Is there a workaround to be able to access the XPATH assistant or Expression Builder for this case?

The purpose of otherwise is to take the last route when all the cases you mentioned in the switch are not met. If you want to add 1 more case, you can "right click -> Add Switch Case"
