XSD from WSDL SOAP response

From WSDL, I have SOAP respose as
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
     <soapenv:Body>
          <ns1:getDistanceResponse xmlns:ns1="http://DefaultNamespace" soapenv:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/">
               <ns1:getDistanceReturn xsi:type="xsd:double">0.0</ns1:getDistanceReturn>
          </ns1:getDistanceResponse>
     </soapenv:Body>
</soapenv:Envelope>
How do I create XSD so that I can import external defintion in designer message_type without typing the fields from scratch?
Here is the XSD:-
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?><xs:schema xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" elementFormDefault="qualified" attributeFormDefault="unqualified"><xs:element name="getDistanceResponse"><xs:annotation><xs:documentation>Comment describing your root element</xs:documentation></xs:annotation><xs:complexType><xs:sequence><xs:element name="getDistanceReturn" type="xs:double" /></xs:sequence></xs:complexType></xs:element></xs:schema>

Satish,
When I look at /people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2006/03/23/rfc--xi--webservice--a-complete-walkthrough-part-1, from WSDL an XSD is created for getDistanceResponse.
Also there is a note from Shabarish "At my first try i used the messages getDistanceRequest and getDistanceResponse in my mapping but later found out that it wasnt the message structure that the webservice expected."
Hence wondering how to create XSD from WSDL so that I can use the structures in message mapping.
In this case it is simple, so i can create the data type but for complex it is better to create XSD from WSDL. May be I'm not putting the right words and question. Please help

  • Wsdl - soap response...

    I am working on java ,using Eclipse wit wtp and Apache Axis. The soap request is sent, an xml file is parsed and I want to generate soap responses from the xml file.
    Now i can send a soap request, parse the xml, but the response am getting is not of soap format, its jus a simple data...
    For eg.. if the request is add no.s ( 5+ 7) i get the sum(12) or if i request for author of a book from i just get author's name..
    Instead i want it as a soap response... some thing like this for requesting the stock price...
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <soap:Envelope
    xmlns:soap="http://www.w3.org/2001/12/soap-envelope"
    soap:encodingStyle="http://www.w3.org/2001/12/soap-encoding">
      <soap:Body xmlns:m="http://www.example.org/stock">
        <m:GetStockPriceResponse>
          <m:Price>34.5</m:Price>
        </m:GetStockPriceResponse>
      </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
    How do i get the sopa response using the wsdl file that gets generated... ????
    Or is there another way of generating the soap responses.. ?
    Plz help me out...

    Hi,
    All that you want to do is trying to call a web service and get the response from it, you can use the WSDLs from any weather or lets say google. From XI you can call it and you would get response in SOAP format.
    If you want to create a web service, create a SOAP to RFC scenario in XI where RFC returns you some thing that you wanted in sync fashion. Now use the WSDL genrated from this scenario and import in XI for another scenario.. where it could be a HTTP to SOAP. Now you would get the response of RFC in SOAP format it self..

  • Extracting XSD from WSDL

    Hi Everyone,
    I am looking at a very simple scenario: Flat file to Web Service Through SAP XI.
    I have created a web service in SAP ECC system. With the help of WSDL document of the web service i created a Message Interface(External Definitions).
    On the other hand, i created the data type, message type and message interface for the flat file. Now, When i want to do the message mapping, I only have one message type.
    I want to Extract XSD from the WSDL document of the webservice in order to do the message mapping. Can you help me out with this.
    Thanks
    chan

    you dont need XSD,you can just import WSDL itself as you import XSD in the IR.but make sure you select WSDL as the structure.I mean you will have options like DTD,XSD,WSDL.here select WSDL.
    and you would get the structure for the other message structure.you can use it as either Ooutbound or inbound.

  • Can't retrieve the result from the soap response

    We are trying to send and retrieve audio files using j2me web services. What we did is to convert the byte array (recorded audio) to hex string before sending it to the server. We used the sun java platform 9 for our web service, sun java wireless toolkit 2.2,mysql.
    We successfully saved and sent audio files that is recorded up to 39 seconds long. Longer than that, the application does not continue running the program. In retrieving the audio file from the database, the application could retrieve and play an audio file up to 2 seconds long. Any audio file longer than 2 seconds, the application does not complete the retrieval.
    We already looked on the memory usage of the emulator and it doesn't use the whole phone memory to retrieve a 3 seconds audio file. We also looked on the soap message response and it showed that it retrieves the whole audio file which is in hex string even if it is a 3 seconds audio file.
    We don't know why the phone/emulator could not retrieve the whole audio file (if it's longer than 2 seconds) from the server. What could be the cause of the problem?

    Hello,
    I am not sure that we have lot of HTMLDB experts monitoring this forum, this is why I am inviting you to post your question in the Oracle Application Express (APEX) (fka: HTMLDB)

  • Data from SOAP response not getting into Flex object

    I'm trying to get data from an ALM application we use(Collabnet TeamForge) using a SOAP webservice, and am running into a problem.  I should mention that I am new to both Flex, and webservices.
    I used the "Import Web Services" option in Flex Builder 3, and had it generate code for all operations in the WSDL.  Some of them work just fine.  However, there are several where the data from the SOAP response does not get into the Flex object. The senario that doesn't work is when the response contains a data type that extends another datatype.  In TeamForge, they have a type called TrackerSoapRow.  It extends FolderSoapRow, adding 3 fields.  The problem seems to be that in the response from TeamForge, the 3 fields defined in TrackerSoapRow are in the middle of the fields defined in FolderSoapRow.  I've debugged into it, and the problem occures in mx.rpc.xml.XMLDecoder.getApplicableValues( starting at line 2204 of XMLDecoded.as).  As I read the code, the only way a match can be found is if the fields in the response are in the exact same order as in the definintion.  When its processing the extended data type(  by a call to XMLDecoder.decodeComplexExtension ) at some point, one of the derived type's fields is encountered, and the process stops.
    I have called the service using soapui and verified that all the data I expect is in the response.
    As I mentioned, I'm new to web services.  So, I suppose its possible that the format of the data being returned from TeamForge is incorrect.  That they are not supposed to intermingle base and derived fields.  If thats the case, then I need to report this as a bug to Collabnet.
    All help is appreciated.

    Not knowing any of the details about how you call a web service from OAF myself - I'd suggest you post on the proper forum for OA Framework questions: {forum:id=210}

  • Parsing Soap Responses

    Hello,
    I am fairly new to CF and am trying to parse and then query a soap response from a third-party api. I have been able to get a response in xml format, but that is where I am stuck. Below the xml response I am getting an error that reads Element.LOGINRESPONSE.LOGINRESULT.XMLTEXT is undefined in LOGINXML.
    I realize my code is a mess, but I am just trying out various things. Does anyone have any insight how to get at the Login Response variable in my soap response so that I can query it?
    Thanks for any insight!!

  • Oracle ESB 10g : Blank namespace in the SOAP Response from DB adapter

    Hi All,
    I am currently working on a ESB project to route input XML file as a parameter to a DB Function.
    This Function has a input parameter of type XMLTYPE and returns VARCHAR2 values.
    I have configured the DB Adapter to invoke this function and return the result as a SOAP response.
    The WSDL of DB adapter contains XML_DATA as input and XMLMAIN as the output result.
    The ESB project works fine as expected. But in the result from DB adapter contains a blank namespace [xmlns=""] for the XMLMAIN element .
    I hereby attach the output XML.
    Please help how to remove this blank namespace from the output.
    We are using SOA Suite 10g 10.1.3.5

    well..the problem is..the db adapter has it's own transaction..so the transactions fails or not.
    you're just not capable of checking if the transaction went ok...and return 'process completed ok' or when the transaction failed for some reason return 'the process aborted'.
    So you just need some extra steps for it to be able to return some response-message

  • Unable to create web service from wsdl that contains xsd as import

    I have written a WSDL and tried to create the web services by weblogic workshop.
    Prior to that I have created the war file and able to deploy them properly. Also able to access any wsdl by hitting the server.
    But when I am trying to create the web services by weblogic workshop its throwing error as "URL is not well formed" for those XSDs which I have imported in my WSDL. I have kept all my XSDs and WSDLs in the same folder.

    Hi,
    From your description I am assuming that you are using JAX-WS, if not get back to me as I might have another bug to look at.
    The problem is that the annotation @Oneway needs to be added to the methods in java files for this to work correctly. You can either do this manually or use the PI in the code editor. I have raised bug 6266513 to track the fact this annotation is not written out properly. I have logged bug 6266556 to track the nillable=true and extranious elements you will see when you do add @Oneway.
    Thanks for the quality of your bug report, and we would of course welcome any other feedback good or bad you would like to give us.

  • XFIRE - Java class from wsdl and soap request from java class

    Hi,
    Firstly i'm newbie programmer with little experience, so please help me if u can.
    I have found an example on how to create java classes from WSDL under maven:
    (...)<taskdef classname="org.codehaus.xfire.gen.WsGenTask" name="wsgen">(...)
    I've created the below java class and I create new object of this class: UploadChunk up = new UploadChunk()
    and up.setSomething(123) etc....
    I have some service for which I have to prepare soap request manually - suitable for my service requests.
    I'm doing it using dom4j to create xml documents and i rewrite values to it from my variable up.
    I wonder if it is possible to do it automatically - I have UploadChunk object and I want do use xFire library somehow to produce ready or almost ready soap request. I want to do it in my code, no some ant or maven task.
    So I propably need a couple line of code, when I have:
    up.setSomething(123);
    //////CONVERTION - CAN U TELL ME HOW TO DO THAT PLEASE? I haven't found the way :( it seems I need your help.
    //////Document result =....
    callService(result,namespace,qname);

    Hi,
    Can u Please post the WSDL..here. I remember long back i resolved this kind of issue...when i was getting "*parameters is already defined in - - -*" while using ClientGen.
    Once i will get the WSDL may be i can recall it...
    If u have any problem in Posting the WSDL..in Forums .. then let me know I will send my E-Mail Address...
    As far as i remember ..it usually happens when we Run ClientGen task of WLS81 ON the WebService/WSDL generated by WebLogic 9.x or Above. Please let me know if this is the Case with you as well... . I remember there is a Patch for it...for WLS8 ClientGen task...I dont remember the Patch Number Exactly.
    Just For testing:
    Just Use WLS9.x ClientGen task On the Same WSDL
    <taskdef name="clientgen" classname="weblogic.wsee.tools.anttasks.ClientGenTask" />
    I am sure you will not see this issue... because the issue is there only with WLS8 Clientgen...
    Thanks

  • Encrypted response from a SOAP Sender???

    Hi,
    I am implementing a WS scenario SOAP<->XI<->RFC securing the exchanges (SOAP<->XI) using WSS .
    The scenario works fine with an encrypted SOAP request but I would also need the SOAP response to be encrypted...
    I have my communication channel configured to use the Security Profile (WSS) and a Sender agreement configured with the keys for the decryption.
    I do not understand how to achieve the encryption of the SOAP response as only the decryption options are available on the sender agreement...
    Please help!!!
    Thanks,
    Adalbert

    Adalbert,
    if you have have selected "Select Security Profile" in the sender soap communication channel, you should see two fields for Security Settings in the Sender Agreement, one for the request and one for the response.
    Check this out: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/1f/7e2441509fa831e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
    What version/SP of XI are you in?
    Regards,
    Henrique.

  • BPEL process to create a PDF and send it as attachment in SOAP response

    We have a requirement to have a webservice created using BPEL, which can receive input from a client and create a PDF using the input and send the PDF as attachment in the SOAP response.
    We have found the below link in Oracle docs and our basic understanding on the functionality given is that the MIMEService is being used to read a SOAP attachment from some other service and send it as an attachment in the SOAP response to the requester. As explained above, this doesn't completely satisfy our requirement.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11036_01/integrate.1013/b28981/manipdoc.htm#BABCJIAH
    Please suggest if there is any other approach that suites our requirement.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    I have a Weblogic webservice which returns me a PDF attachment as resposne ( here I have MIME related stuff).I need to get attachment as bpel response.
    I have created a BPEL process to invoke the weblogic webservice. I have explictly added the MIME part in bpel.wsdl same as weblogic webservice wsdl.
    I tried to assign the response variable( of type base64binary) of bpel.wsdl and my webservice .wsdl . I am getting some error with no attachment.

  • Problem with array type in SOAP response for sync interface

    Hi,
    We have a Synchronous Interface from SAP -->PI-->Unifier .The WSDL response has array type and when WSDL is imported it is showing red (I was able to activate  and use it in mapping) .We are able to send the request successfully and when retrieving the response we are getting mapping error .Please find the attachment for reference and response message from unifier .I feel that the error is because of array type .Could someone throw some light how we can solve this soon as it was a bit urgent .
    http://scn.sap.com/thread/326591
    I tried to create the Data Type and use the same instead of using the WSDL from External Definition but did not helped.Request your help in this.I have attached the WSDL for reference .
    The response is received as shown below which is giving mapping error :
    <ns1:getUDRDataResponse xmlns:ns1='http://diran:12020/ws/services/mainservice' soapenv:encodingStyle='http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/' xmlns:soapenv='http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/' xmlns:xsd='http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema' xmlns:xsi='http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance'><getUDRDataReturn href='#id0'/></ns1:getUDRDataResponse>
    The complete response looks like below where PI is not able to receive (this is retrieved from SOAP UI)
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    - <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
