XSLT and ABAP Transformation Deep Structure

Hello Everyone,
While I've read the forums and the links of a number of folks doing the same thing. I am stuck in that I cannot figure out how to populate a deep structure via XSLT.  Not sure what is going wrong, but I suspect it is obvious. The simple problem is that my structure is not getting populated. It is blank.  The transformation works in testing STRANS (and in Stylus Studio).
I cannot figure out what is wrong that makes the t_pexr2002 table blank.  Thanks for any insight.
Greg
The simple program is:
TYPES: BEGIN OF ty_head,
          sndprn TYPE string,
          bgmref TYPE string,
          moabetrh TYPE string,
          create_date TYPE string,
          settlement_date TYPE string,
          no_lines TYPE string,
       END OF ty_head.
TYPES: BEGIN OF ty_pricing,
        moabetr TYPE string,
       END OF ty_pricing.
TYPES: BEGIN OF ty_item,
          docname TYPE string,
          docnummr TYPE string,
          pricing TYPE ty_pricing,
        END OF ty_item.
TYPES: BEGIN OF ty_summary,
          status_message TYPE string,
       END OF ty_summary.
TYPES: BEGIN OF ty_mn,
        header_data  TYPE ty_head,
        item_data    TYPE ty_item,
        summary_data TYPE ty_summary,
       END OF ty_mn.
DATA: t_pexr2002 TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF ty_mn.
DATA: xml_doc TYPE REF TO cl_xml_document, xml TYPE string.

  • Any website for XSLT AND ABAP mapping

    Hi XI experts,
    I am looking for any good website/Material for XSLT and ABAP Mapping with examples.
    So experts if you any one of you have any clue , i would appreciate it , if you post the info here .

    Hi,
    For XSLT mapping, please try to create msg types for sender and recv, import these two into XML Mapforces (This is a software which enables us to do mapping this you can download from altova mapforce site) , do mapping in that mapforce , late click on XSLT icon , one XSLT file will be c reated that file , prepare zip and late come to xi , import under imported archieves,do Interface mapping by selecting the XSLT mapping option, select imported archieve..
    See below examples..

    ENDIF.
    * Fill the result table with a reference to the data table.
    * Within the XSLT stylesheet, the data table can be accessed with
    * "IPERSON".
    GET REFERENCE OF gt_orders INTO gs_result_xml-value.
    gs_result_xml-name = 'ORDERS'.
    APPEND gs_result_xml TO gt_result_xml.
    * Perform the XSLT styleshee
    TRY.
         CALL TRANSFORMATION zfx_so_xml_to_abap
         SOURCE XML gt_itab
         RESULT (gt_result_xml).
       CATCH cx_root INTO gs_rif_ex.
         gs_var_text = gs_rif_ex->get_text( ).
         MESSAGE gs_var_text TYPE 'S'.
    ENDTRY.
    LOOP AT gt_orders INTO gs_orders.
    ENDLOOP.

    The simplest way seems to me is to use a XSL file for that. The <xsl:output> attributes doctype-system and doctype-public generate the DTD declaration <!DOCTYPE YOUR_ROOT SYSTEM "yourDTDfile.dtd"> and <!DOCTYPE YOUR_ROOT PUBLIC "yourDTDfile.dtd">, respectively.
    When calling transformerInstance.transform() the XSLT processor performs the identity transformation - it just copies elements, attributes, content, processing instructions and comments to the result stream.
    If you're using an xsl file for your transformation already, simply add <xsl:output doctype-system="yourDTDfile.dtd"/> to your existing XSL file.
    If you're only using the identity transformation you'd need to change the line of code where you obtain the transformer instance from the TransformerFactory to:
    t_factory.newTransformer(new StreamSource("test.xsl"));
    and use this as test.xsl:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
       <xsl:output doctype-system="yourDTDfile.dtd"/>
       <!-- this is the identity transformation -->
       <xsl:template match="*|@*|comment()|processing-instruction()|text()">
          <xsl:copy>
             <xsl:apply-templates select="*|@*|comment()|processing-instruction()|text()"/>
          </xsl:copy>
       </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>Good luck.

  • Source and destination are deep structures.. can't seem to map the detail table

    So, both my source data structure and my destination structure are very similarly built:
    They both have a HEADER and BODY component. The HEADER has the standard AIF fields (MSGGUID, NS, IFNAME, IFVER).
    I have defined the BODY as a deep structure composed of a Header Structure + a Detail Table. Each row in the BODY has a structure with a few header fields, then a table of detail data attached to it.
    In my Structure Mappings, I've created 2 rows:
    The first to map BODY-HEADER to my header structure.
    The second to map BODY-DETAILS to my details table. Here, I've chosen "Indirect Mapping".
    Selecting that row and navigating to "Define Field Mappings", I choose my destination table (DTL) and enter the Sub-table from my source structure.
    At this point, I only have 1 action - to save the data in Ztables. I'm seeing that the header data is passed in fine. But there aren't any detail lines coming through.
    Any ideas?
    thanks alot.
    RP.

    Christoph,
    In your reply, I only have the ability to perform the First Structure Mapping (please see the below screenshots):
    Source Structure; BODY
    Destination Structure: BODY
    Field Mapping:
    1. Field in Dest.Struc=HDR, Sub-Table = SCH_HEADER
    2. Field in Dest.Struc=DTL,  Sub Table = SCH_DETAILS
    I presume I'm following your suggestion, but when I try to create the other two structure mappings, I only have HEADER or BODY as available options to choose from: I've attached screenshots of the F4 dropdown of the Source Structure and also the Destination Structure fields.
    I believe this is because my Interface Definition is defined as a HEADER and BODY:
    Source Data Structure
    Destination Data Structure

  • XSLT and Call transformation

    hi Jan,
    Check out the link
    http://www.topxml.com/code/default.asp?p=3&id=v20031025170911&ms=20&l=xsl&sw=categ
    This link contains a file that contains an importable xslt stylesheet with two templates. The first is a text wrap template that breaks texts at carriage returns. You need to modify the xslt.
    [code]<xsl:template name="text.wrap">
            <xsl:param name="texttowrap"/>
            <xsl:variable name="textlength" select="string-length($texttowrap)"/>
            <!-- don't waste time if no text supplied or remaining from recursion-->
            <xsl:if test="$textlength > 0">
                <xsl:choose>
                    <xsl:when test="contains($texttowrap,$CR)">
                        <!-- get the text before the first instance of a carriage return character-->
                        <xsl:variable name="<span  style="background-color:yellow;color:red;font-weight:bold;">line</span>beforefirst<span  style="background-color:yellow;color:red;font-weight:bold;">break</span>" select="substring-before($texttowrap,$CR)"/>
    .................[/code]
    Hope this helps.

  • XSLT transformation for deep structure .....

    Hello,
            I am trying to do an XSLT transformation for a deep structure HAP_S_PDF_DOCUMENT (see it in SE11), I have managed to achieve this. but not with perfection. i still get some redundant data and data have been experiencing Data duplication. I was hoping if you people point out the what is wrong in the transfromation. The data repeats for every once under node DATA and then under node of the refered structure name. Besides it also create a blank row even if the record is 0. I am mostly facing problem with nodes T_ELEMENTS. T_COL_CELL and T_FIELD. These are the nested structures, Can anybody help / guide me to achieve these transforamtion?

  • Using XSLT Transformation to Load Deep Structure

    Greetings!
    I have the need to load data from an XML file into a structure that contains a nested table.   I've written the XSLT to load the basic structure but I'm not familiar enough with XSLT to know how to populate the nested table.  I've searched SDN and can't find a suitable example.
    Any help would be most appreciated!  Thanks!

    This might help.  These are the structures and the XML data file I'm using.  I can get all of the nodes to load except for the internal table (TS_PERSON-LIFE_PLANS).  I tried using an XSLT:FOR-EACH but without any success.  Honestly, I'm just shooting in the dark.
    All I need to do is get that internal table loaded.

  • Creating an XML From a Deep Structure  using XSL Transformation

    Hi ABAPers,
    I have a requirement to use XSL Transformations on an ABAP deep type structure.
    Currently i have an API that fills in this deep structure and by using CALL TRANSFORMATION ID.... i will get the BIG XML having having 100s of nodes . But actualy form the deep structure i need only some NODES (say 50)... So i tried writing an XSLT
    in the transaction STRANS.. but on using this TRANSFORMATION which i wrote i am getting an error messgae like INVALID XML...
    Am i going in right track or is there a good solution...
    My sample transformation is as below...
    <xsl:transform version="1.0"
    xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
    <xsl:strip-space elements="*"/>
    <xsl:template match="/">
    <xsl:value-of select="DATA/NODE_ELEMENTS/UUID_KEY/UUID"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="DATA/NODE_ELEMENTS/SEMANTICAL_NAME"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="DATA/NODE_ELEMENTS/STRUCT_CAT"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="DATA/NODE_ELEMENTS/USAGE_CAT"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="DATA/NODE_ELEMENTS/RESTRICTED_IND"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="VALUES/DATA/NODE_ID"/>.
    </xsl:template>
    </xsl:transform>
    Please help me in solving this issue....
    Thanks,
    Linda.

    Hi Linda,
        I am replying based on your sample code.
       Try the below following suggestions.
       here 'GRPHDR' is the node where I am selecting the data.
               IGRPHDR is the name of the reference.
    First calling the transformation in you program.
    TYPES: BEGIN OF tl_hdr,
               msgid(20)    TYPE c,
                 END OF tl_hdr.
    DATA : t_hdr           TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF tl_hdr.
      GET REFERENCE OF t_hdr INTO l_result_xml-value.
        l_result_xml-name = 'IGRPHDR'.
        APPEND l_result_xml TO t_result_xml.
       TRY.
            CALL TRANSFORMATION yfi_xml_read
            SOURCE XML it_xml_data
            RESULT (t_result_xml).
          CATCH cx_root INTO l_rif_ex.
            l_var_text = l_rif_ex->get_text( ).
            l_bapiret-type = 'E'.
            l_bapiret-message = l_var_text.
            APPEND l_bapiret TO errormsgs.
            EXIT.
        ENDTRY.
    in XSL transformation
       First write a block of statement to specify from which node you are taking the data.
       No matter it is a node or sub-node.
    <xsl:transform xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="1.0">
      <xsl:output encoding="iso-8859-1" indent="yes" method="xml" version="1.0"/>
      <xsl:strip-space elements="*"/>
    <xsl:template match="/">
          <asx:abap xmlns:asx="http://www.sap.com/abapxml" version="1.0">
          <asx:values>
            <IGRPHDR>  " reference name of internal table
              <xsl:apply-templates select="//GrpHdr"/>
            </IGRPHDR>
      </asx:values>
        </asx:abap>
    </xsl:template>
    Next select the data from the nodes under the nodes specified in the transformation.
    here msgid is the field i am selecting for value.
    <xsl:template match="GrpHdr">
        <item>
          <MSGID>  " field in the internal table t_hdr where data has to go

  • Source of xslt mapping and XSD/ XMT target structures for standard Idocs

    Hi,
    I am working on R/3 - XI - ICH scenario. I need xslt mapping and XSD/ XML target structures for standard IDoc like PROACT01,DELFOR01, DELVRY03. I tried to search it on marketplace but couldn't find it there. As per configuration document, these things are shipped with XI mapping content in live cache CD. But I don't have this CD with me. Can anybody tell me the source for these target structures and mapping program. ( Please share marketplace, site link or send me across the mail [email protected])
    Thank you in advance.
    Anand More.

    Anand the other option is to import the corresponding idocs into your integration repository and then you can view the generated XSD there.
    As regards XSLT mapping, you need to basically first identify as to what form you want to transform your source idoc into.
    For some help on XSLT mapping check the following threads,

    Hi Experts, I need help with this XSLT for call transformation. I have defined an internal table and intend to use it as a source for Call Tranformation. But I have a Problem defining its XSLT and help would be greatly appreciated! I also wonder if this XSLT can be used for XML to internal table? Or do I have to define another XSLT again.... Hope to hear from any of u soon!

  • How can i point to a specific field in DEEP structure and populate it?

    Hello,
    I have declared a internal table as below,
    DATA: BEGIN OF wa_data,
                  vkorg TYPE vkorg
                  vtweg TYPE vtweg
                  spartTYPE spart
                  field_name TYPE CHAR30
                   value TYPE CHAR50
                END OF wa_data
    DATA: ls_data TYPE wa_data,
                lt_data TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF wa_data.
    The lt_data is populated as below,
    VKORG-------VTWEG-------SPART-------FIELD_NAME-------VALUE
    1000-----------10-------------01------------KALKS---------------ZP00 "Pricing procedure
    1000-----------10-------------01------------ZTERM---------------15 days "Payment terms
    1000-----------10-------------01------------MAHNA---------------09 "Dunning
    Fine.
    Now, i have a DEEP DEEP DEEP structure as belowm
    DATA: ls_deep TYPE cmds_ei_extern. "Pls. see this deep structure 'cmds_ei_extern' in SAP DDIC / SE11
    This deep structure is part of Customer master creation. Now, i would like to POPULATE this deep structure from my lt_data itab DYNAMICALLy, i mean, with out mentioning the field names (like, ZTERM, KALKS, MAHNA etc etc), bcz its these i am pulling this lt_data from a custom table, so going further business may also ADD a new record / field like BUSAB (Accouting clerk) with a value of AL (Allen Christi), hence i want to hv dynamic and its less tediuos also bcz,
    We can LOOP lt_data INTO ls_data (for example, the ls_data-field_name = KALKS)
    Now, point the KALKS in the deep deep deep structure and populate it with a value of ls_data-value (= 15 days)
    ENDLLOOP.
    Pls. let me know How can i do this, i guess, we need to use field symbols, pls. let me know the code to achieve my requirement
    Thank you

    Hi,
    Please refer below code.This will populate field kunnr of the deep structure. Once you select the data as per your requirement,you can write similar code to populate rest of the fields in the deep strucure.

  • ABAP inbound proxy deep structure

    Hello Experts,
    This is regarding ABAP inbound proxy structures.
    I have a structure in XI which looks like this
    <Bill of Material> (0:unbounded)
       <Material>     (0:unbounded)
       </Material>
    </Bill of Material>
    When I generate a proxy structure for this message, a similar structure will get generated in proxy with table types for 0:unbounded types.
    Here, how can I loop through the structure and extract the materials associated with each Bill of materials? I have to call BAPI for creating material first if not exists and then BOM for each BOM in the structure.
    Any help with sample coding is really appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ricky

    Hi Ricky !
    Try with something like this:
    LOOP AT your_bill_of_material_object.
        WRITE: your_bill_of_material_object-material_field.
    END-LOOP.
    where the outer object is the bill of material and inside the loop make a reference to the current fields of the bill of material record. You may need another loop inside this one to recover each material record once your are pointing to the current bill of material.
    Regards,
    Matias.

    Hi,
    you do READ, APPEND (and other operations on internat table) in the same way on simple internal table like and on internal table which is part of some (deep) structure. You only have to respect names, so instead of
    APPEND itab.
    you have to do:
    APPEND stru1-stru2-stru3-itab.
