xsql:query - Is there a character limit on the SQL contained in the tag?

Is there a limit to the length of the SQL contained in the
<xsql:query> tag ?
I've been very successful with short queries using xsql:query
tags, however, for longer queries they seem to fail the XML
Syntax check using JDeveloper 3.2.3.
The resulting error from the XSQLServlet is XSQL-005 page is not
well formed with the following:
XML-0201: (Fatal Error) Expected name instead of .
XML-0122: (Fatal Error) '=' missing in attribute.
XML-0125: (Fatal Error) Attribute value should start with quote

  • Is there a character limit on PL/SQL region code?

    Hi,
We are moving a app from the Oracle apex site (10g) to our apex environment (9.2) and when I open a Dynamic PL/SQL region on a page, add a space to the declaration area just to cause it to be different, I try and save it and it goes to:
    "The webpage cannot be found"
This happened at another job and I believe it was a environment setting to extend the character limit ability.???
If so, what do I change and how do I change it?
    If not, any ideas?
    Thank you, Bill

  • Is there a character limit for iTunes U course postings when viewing in iOS app?

I have created a course in iTunes U using the web interface, but when I view the course on my iPad it doesn't show the entire post. Is there a character limit in the app or something for what will display?
To make things even stranger, I went back to the course editor in my browser and saved it again (effectively re-posting it) and when I restarted the iTunes U app in iOS the post was cut even shorter!  I'm using an iPad 3rd gen with iOS 6.0.1.

No, there is no workaround. You would need to find a downloadable copy of old apps.

  • Is there a character limit in Mail on iPhone or iPad?

When composing an email message, in the Mail app, is there a character limit in the body of the email on an iPhone or iPad?

I did lots of testing last night on this issue.
It's quite repeatable. I tested it on LV 7.1 (OSX) and the bug is there, but LV 8b120 works OK.
I have attached the LLB that I sent to tech support.
Here is the report I sent:
    Problem Description :
Apparently there is a character limit on ENUM
    items.
If I add two characters to any item in this enum,
LabVIEW will CRASH when I apply changes. The
crash occurs without actually RUNNING the
    program.
I have tested on LabVIEW 7.0 (Win2000) and
7.1.1 (OS X). Both exhibit the same behavior.
LabVIEW 8.0 b120 (OS X) does NOT crash - it
    works correctly.
    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1... Open the library and keep HDT SORT
    CHANNELS INTO PAGES.vi open.
2... Open HDT UNITS CONTROL.ctl in the library.
3... Add two or more characters to any item in
    the ENUM.
    4... APPLY CHANGES
    5... Watch LabVIEW crash.
It certainly leads to bizarre behavior - If you remove the UNITS control from the HDT DISPLAY UNITS vi while you change the typedef, there is no crash. But as soon as you put it back and wire it to the connector, ALL the terminals turn to (void).

  • Is there a character limit for a field in CrystalReports?

Is there a character limit for a field in CrystalReports?
    Hello,
I'm trying to display a long text (+100.000 characters) stored in a MySql database in CrystalReports but CR is not showing the complete text. Is this because there is a length limit for fields in CR?
    Thanks,
    Eddy G.

This is not a great answer, but you can base your report on a SQL Command, then use something like this for the command(MS SQL):
    select
      case when length(table.field) > 65535
          then substring(table.field,1,65535)
          else table.field end as field_part1,
      case when length(table.field) > 65536+65535
          then substring(table.field,65536, 65535)
          when length(table.field) between 65536 and 65536+65535
          then substring(table.field,65536, length(table.field)-65535)
          else '' end as field_part2
    from table...
Then in the report, display both fields where you want the BLOB data.
    HTH,
    Carl

  • Is there a recommended limit on the number of custom sections and the cells per table so that there are no performance issues with the UI?

Is there a recommended limit on the number of custom sections and the cells per table so that there are no performance issues with the UI?

    Thanks Kelly,
The answers would be the following:
1200 cells per custom section (NEW COUNT), and up to 30 custom sections per spec.
Assuming all will be populated, and this would apply to all final material specs in the system which could be ~25% of all material specs.
The cells will be numeric, free text, drop downs, and some calculated numeric.
Are we reaching the limits for UI performance?
    Thanks

  • Is there a size limit on the iPod for the song database file ?

I have been running into the same issue for the last 2 weeks: Once I exceed 110 GB on my iPod Classic 160 GB, iTunes is no longer able to update the database file on the iPod.
When clicking (on the iPod) on Settings/About, the iPod displays the wrong number of songs. Also, the iPod is no longer able to play any songs.
Is there a size limit for the database file on the iPod ?
I am making excessive use of the 'comments' field in every song that I load to the iPod. This increases the size of the database file.
Is there a way, that I can manually update the database file on the iPod ?
    Thanks for your help !

did you experience some crashing of the ipod as well? do you know how many separate items you had?

  • Is there a size limit of the mp4 transfer to Ipod?

Hi, i have converted a video and the size is 640x480. It worked just fine for itune and quicktime player, but when i start to transfer it to my ipod video. It declines my mp4 video and said it's different format. Again i did the same thing and converted the same video to size 320x240. This time the ipod accepted it. So i wanted to know is there a size limit to the ipod??

The maximum resolution for an MPEG-4 file is 480x480.
The maximum resolution for an H.264 file is 320x240.
    From the iPod Tech Specs:
H.264 video: up to 768 Kbps, 320 x 240, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats
MPEG-4 video: up to 2.5 mbps, 480 x 480, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 Khz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats

You can install 2 - 200-pin PC2-5300 (667MHz) DDR2 SO-DIMMs. The maximum amount of RAM is 6 GBs. Visit DataMem or OWC to get the proper RAM at reasonable prices.

  • Is there a way to force the Tag Engine to dump its input buffer to the database?

I have an application where I start a process and log the data, and then call a subVI that uses the Read Historical Trend VIs to get all of the data from when the process started until now. The problem is that the Historical Trend VIs only read from the database on disk, and the Tag Engine's buffer doesn't write to disk until it's full (or possibly times out; I'm not sure about that, though). Is there a way to force the Tag Engine to write to disk, so that the Historical Trend VIs will return the most recent data?
Shrinking the buffer will help a little, but that will only result in missing less of the most recent data. One possible hack is to have a dummy tag that I simply write enou
gh data to that will cause the buffer to be written to the database. I was hoping for something more elegant, though.

    That's a good question.
The control about the datalogging and the DSC Engine is all done (more or less) automatically - you feel the NI ease-of-use idea
That means the Citadel service (one of the NI Services installed by LabVIEW DSC) is responsible of taking care about the datahandling (writing to and reading from the database files including caching some data e.g. index files, frequently used data...).
The DSC Engine makes a request to the Citadel service that this data has to be logged. Everything else is handled by the Citadel service. Internally, there are two kinds of logging periods handled through the Citadel service. One for traces being viewed (a small period: 200ms) and one for traces not being viewed (slow (big) log period: 20000ms). That
means, if Citadel gets a request to store a value it will buffer it and store it as soon as possible depending on other circumstances. One depends on the fact if this trace data is being viewed (e.g. with Read Histroical Trend.vi) If you request/read to view a trace you should pretty much see the current values because citadel should use the fast log period.
The Citadel service takes care as well about setting priorities e.g. the writes before the reads (We don't want to loose data - right?). That means if you really stuff the system by writing a lot of data the CPU might get overloaded and the reads will happen less often.
If you really want to see "real-time" data I would recommend to use the "Trend Tags.vi". With this approach you avoid the chain DSCEngine-Output Buffer-CitadelService-InputBuffer-File-HD... and back.
    I hope this info helps.
    Roland
PS: I've attached a simple VI that has a tip (workaround) in it which might do what you are looking for... However, Nationa
l Instruments cannot support this offically because the VI being used are internally DSC VIs that certainly change in the next version of LV DSC... and therefore you would need to "re-factor" your application.
