Yahoo Mail users

Since upgrading to Tiger I cannot deactivate Safari Cache. If I do deactivate Safari Cache I am unable to add attachments to Yahoo email. Gives me some kind of error and won't attach the file.
Anyone other Yahoo email uses have this issue? Anyone know how to fix this? I'd really like to deactivate Safari Cache so I don't have to keep emptying it.
thanks in advance,
Doug

  • Adding a Yahoo Mail user to Family Sharing?

My child uses Yahoo for mail.  How can I establish Family sharing if that is the sole mail application he uses?

    Not exactly correct, I believe.
    In my case:
    1.  He established an Apple ID a long time ago.
    2.  When he received the 'Invitation' by me, the Organizer, to join Family Sharing, he was instructed to open it via iCloud or Apple Mail.  He uses Yahoo. I t is as if Yahoo can not direct him to the final destination.  I am stumbling in explaining it accurately, I know.  Please forgive me.
I think I am explaining this properly.  If I am missing something, please feel free to tell me.  I would love to learn.

  • Question for Yahoo mail users on iphone

I did a check of the first 7 pages but couldnt find anything.
Have people who use Yahoo found it to be efficient. I have found that it either pushes 20-45 minutes late or doesnt push at all.
I have also had a problem (twice) where I just dont get emails or I send them and people dont get them. I deleted the account and activated it again, but I dont want to have to do that once a week.
Anyone have the same issues, or is it isolated to me. I have a gmail account as well but I was hoping to have mail pushed instead of manually checking.
FWIW: I have had no problems with the gmail account

Known issues with yahoo push mail on the iphone....your not alone.

  • Can't retrieve my yahoo mail using I phone 4.

Need help, I can't receive my yahoo mail from I phone 4. It was working fine up until last night when I updated the phone with the latest update. I have the same problem from I pad 2, so it's not the phone. The strange thing is I have another yahoo mail account stored. That works fine, so does the hotmail account.
I can send no problem just can't recieve. I can see it trying to download but it stops.
    Any help is appreiated

Yahoo mail on iDevices has been a problem now for several weeks if not longer.
There may be a specific message in your inbox that is causing a problem for the phone. Try clearing out your inbox from a computer and see if it starts flowing again. If that doesn't work by deleting and re-adding the account to the phone.  If that doesn't do the trick, I'm afraid you're in the same boat with a lot of other Yahoo mail users at the moment. Consider switching e-mail providers to one with a clue.

  • No email invitation for a user with Yahoo mail

I have sent an invitation to myself and someone else and it worked fine. I have another user with Yahoo mail. I sent her an invitation twice and she has never received it. I told her to check her junk mail to see if it was filtered, but she says its not their either.
    1) Is their an issue with Yahoo mail?
    2) Is their a way for me to get the invitation link as a Web Developer and email it to her manually?

I typically just set up an account for the user. I use either their server's email or a generic gmail account.
Given the process is quite a pain in the butt...  I sign up both accounts, First the new email then the  Adobe account for the end user... I accept and test the account to verify it works on my end and then I just send them the login info. They much more prefer a simple process like that.
The whole sign up / username... blahblahblah.. in the end all the Publisher or Editor needs is a login name and password. There is absolutely no need for them to be burdened with the process. There is absolutely ZERO interaction with the email account that you sign up with other than accepting the invite. InContext doesn't notify you when your page has been updated, if you have new assignents from your Publisher... NOTHING.
I saw no reason to even have the client have to go through the process. Make it simple for them.
sign up a one time disposable email
sign up an adobe account name
    Send / accept invite youself
Then a one line email to client, "To edit your site use this login name and password"
IMO.. if I am going to have to pay for this service provided to MY customer... I'm not giving anyone (Adobe included) their personal info, email, address, name..

    HI Emmet,
thanks so much for your posts back. I really appreciate it and yes that does help to know that you could not get it working.
I did have some success, in removing the SSL Authentication checkbox in the smtp server settings - I found that this allowed my friend to be able to send mail from the mail app via his sbcglobal (yahoo) account.
So that did help but of course the messages do not have ssl encryption and I'm not sure how big a deal that is for an individual. He is able to receive mail but unless the SSL authentication box is unchecked, he cannot send.
i hope that helps anyone out there also!
Thanks also for the tip about sparrow - yes I have heard of it and it is very popular, he may end up using that in the end.
    Thanks again, much appreciated.

  • How do i set firefox to remember my user id and password for yahoo mail. i've changed my yahoo password, so i want firefox to remember the new ones.

I want to know how to set firefox to remember my yahoo mail id and password. i've changed my password, but firefox only remember the old password. So, i've erased it in the security settings.

If the name stays the same and you only need to change (update) the stored password then fill the name in the login form and let Firefox fill the wrong password.
You may have to press the Tab key to fill the password field.
If you replace the wrong password with the new password then Firefox should offer to store the new password.
Yahoo uses "autocomplete=off" to prevent Firefox from saving passwords, so you need to use the ''Remember Password'' bookmarklet.
You can verify that Firefox has stored the new password: Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
If that didn't work then remove that name and password and Firefox should offer to save the new password on the next visit or if you refresh the login page.

  • How can I stop Yahoo mail from automatically loading my user id and password when I access Yahoo Mail through Firefox?

When I access Yahoo Mail through Firefox, as soon as Yahoo mail opens, my userid and password have already been entered. I do not want this to happen since other people use this computer. How can I stop this? this does not happen when I access through Internet Explorer.

It looks like your password is stored in the password manager. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/make-firefox-remember-usernames-and-passwords?s=remembering+passwords&as=s#w_viewing-and-deleting-passwords Viewing and Deleting passwords]. Moreover, your Firefox version (3.6.18) is outdated. Go to Help < Check for Updates.

  • Help! Kids can't connect to Yahoo mail (interenet) in their user account

When my kids try to connect to Yahoo mail via intenet, they get a message "Can't connect to the server" or something like that. I can connect through the admin account. They dodn't have any trouble accessing their Google emails. I have parental controls set up but did not restrict email. Any idea's anyone?

Have you tried to take off the parental control just to eliminate that possibility??
If the yahoo email account page opens up then you know the problem lies in the security settings that you have applied...
Please let me know your results..

  • Can't open pdf attachment in Yahoo Mail. Worked in 25.0 not 25.0.1. Still works with IE.

Clicking on a pdf attachment in AT&T/Yahoo Mail results in "a file was downloaded". Used to open the file in Firefox 25.0 and prior. Switching to IE I can click on the attachment and it opens. Seems it could be something in 25.0.1. I cleared my history (cache, cookies) but this did not fix the problem. I disabled the pdf viewed and that didn't help either.

i'm not sure as to what exactly is going on, but it looks like yahoo has changed something on their server that makes certain old url formats dysfunctional - at least quite a number of other users have reported that... so if you have a bookmark for yahoo mail, change its address to the generic https://mail.yahoo.com/, which should redirect you to the current & working url

  • BT Yahoo mail and Internet Explorer display issues

There seems to be a problem with using a version of Internet Explorer whilst looged into BY Yahoo Mail:
    Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 - IE 8.0.7601.17514 - Display is OK
XP Professional Version 2002 SP3 - IE 8.0.6001.18702CO - See attached for what it looks like, It has a similar appearnce to what it might look like in text mode. IMPORTANT - This worked fine up until around 27th June 2012, then the problem started. If you click on the Mail icon, to get your Inbox, again, it renders better, but doesn't work - I just get the waiting icon (circle)
Yes, the operating system platforms are different (XP is still supported by MS), and yes the IE version are only _slightly_ different, but this worked up until a week ago, so must assume that some change to the operating system might have caused this, e.g. an update.
    Anyone else seen this?
Are BT aware of this, and if not what can they do about it.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    David

  • Why is it that when I go to Yahoo mail, I can't delete any messages or move to the next page? Stays stuck on page 1..

Lately, when I log on to my yahoo mail while using firefox, it no longer shows the DELETE option at the top of the email page. So, I cannot delete any emails that I might wish to delete. Also, I cannot get past the first page of my emails. Every time I click on the NEXT PAGE button, it does not move from page 1. This does not happen when I log onto yahoo mail using Internet Explorer. Please advise as to what I can do to correct this. Could it be that I'm not using the latest version of Firefox? I don't know...

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.
Further information can be found in the [[Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox]] article.
'''Try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)''
    * You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
'''''If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article for that.
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.''
''When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.''
    Thank you.
