Yamaha tyros 2 environment file

I'm kind of lost. Was trying Logic 8 pro on my friend's mac pro and there's no environment file for Yamaha Tyros 2. I've been considering Logic Pro for purchase but found out that external midi environment will not suit my needs.
Is there any place I can find that environment file?
Looks like the Apple doesn't stand behind it's product. There's no contacts or email addresses to ask for a support help.
Thanks

It's nice to have so many answers

  • Upgrade EBS 12.1.3 database to 11GR2 new environment file host name lowercase

We just finished EBS 12.1.3 upgrade database from 11.1.0.7 to 11.2.0.3 on REDHAT /INUX server.  EBS version is no change.
    after we run :
    $ perl $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/bin/adbldxml.pl
    $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/bin/adconfig.sh contextfile=/u4/oracle/EBSTST01/db/tech_st/11.2.0.3/appsutil/EBSTST01_ora01.xml
It come out two environment files and host name all lower case:
    /u4/oracle/EBSTST01/db/tech_st/11.2.0.3/appsutil/EBSTST01_ora01.xml
    /u4/oracle/EBSTST01/db/tech_st/11.2.0.3/EBSTST01_ora01.env
before upgrade environment files host name are upper case.  When run adconfig.sh we also type in upper case host name.
    any one know what wrong?
    Thanks.

due to new XML file hostname is lower case.  Some one tole me I can rename and edit file change Hostname to upper case.
    $ perl $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/bin/adbldxml.pl
    output file :  /u4/oracle/EBSTST01/db/tech_st/11.2.0.3/appsutil/EBSTST01_ora01.xml
    Can I:
    rename /u4/oracle/EBSTST01/db/tech_st/11.2.0.3/appsutil/EBSTST01_ora01  ==> /u4/oracle/EBSTST01/db/tech_st/11.2.0.3/appsutil/EBSTST01_ORA01
then edit : /u4/oracle/EBSTST01/db/tech_st/11.2.0.3/appsutil/EBSTST01_ORA01 file content change lower case hostname to upper case.
    Will it work or not?

  • General question regarding environment files in APPL_TOP

Hi. I will be passing my OCP (hopefully) next month and I am now turning my head to teh Applications side since my job involves a lot of Oracle Financials.
I just did a clean installation of 11.5.10.2 but at the level of seeting environment files, my boss swooped in and did them all. I would love to know which ones need changing, or even which ones do what ...
I am using the Oracle doc Re: Generate the Database Context File
to follow with, but what I see before me in our own (9i, AIX 5.2) set up doesnt always mirror what the doc says.
I need some general information about these env. files. In our <ORA>APPL directory we have the following env. files:
    APPSORA.env
    DEV.env
    DEV_davidcl.env
    APPSDEV_davidcl.env
DAVIDCUST.env (I have changed our firm's name to David)
In the doc, it explains that there is a "main applications env file", and a consolidated applications file". <CONTEXT_NAME>.env and APPS<CONTEXT_NAME>.env respectively. Which ones are those in my directory listing?
I have also checked in the .profile of the appcldev and the appdbdev users, and they both point to the same two environment files -
    $APPL_TOP/DAVIDCUST.env
    and
    $APPL_TOP/APPSORA.env
Sorry this is a bit scrambled message - is there any other source out there to explain environment files?
    Thanks
    DA

Thanks - they are the same! That's why the DEV_davidcl.env has all the parameters that according to the doc APPDDEV_davidcl.env should have.
Thanks - very helpful. The DBA here never has any time to explain this stuff, since I think he's been doing it for so long that he doenst understand why anyone would not know it too. Its very hard working for him sometimes since nothing is explained.
All of my questions are stemming from this clean installation of 11.5.2 that I have done.
I am still wondering about the .profiles of each user we have on the system though. I understand that we had to copy the profiles from TEST to this, our DEV side, then we edited the profiles to match the DEV parameters. Fine.....but the actual .env files themselves - I am looking at them and dont understand at all.
Each .profile and each user are as follows:
    appdbdev:
    appdbdev@TEST:more .profile
    APPL_TOP=/oradbi3/oracle/testappl;export APPL_TOP
    . $APPL_TOP/DAVIDCUST.env
    . $APPL_TOP/APPSORA.env
    appcldev:
    appcldev@TEST:more .profile
    APPL_TOP=/oracli3/oracle/devappl;export APPL_TOP
    . $APPL_TOP/DAVIDCUST.env
    . $APPL_TOP/APPSORA.env
So these two, both on the cl node, appear to be pointing to same env files.
    Then comes the db node:
    oradbdev:
    oradbdev@TEST:more .profile
    . /oradbi3/oracle/devdb/9.2.0/DEV_daviddb.env
    . /oradbi3/oracle/devappl/DAVIDCUST.env
I think I can understand the .env that are pointed to on the cl node, but I dont understand the oradbdev .profile, since its pointing to oradbi3/oracledevdb for one env file, then oradbi3/oracle/devappl for another.
I asked our DBA about this, and he said "dont worry about it". I have to try and run the script to start the application server this morning, but every time I try to su to the db node user I get this:
    doralcl:/> su - appdbdev
    .profile[2]: /oradbi3/oracle/devappl/DAVIDCUST.env: not found.
Like I mentioned, I pinted this out to our DBA and he told me not to worry.

  • Using 2 environment files (i.e., default.env and int.env)

I am running Oracle forms 10g (v9_0_4) on a unix box.
    Database is 10.2.0.4
    We have one application server.
I'm trying to get two different form paths defined.
In default.env we have set the forms90_path to our production directory.
I created int.env (basically copied default.env, but just changed the forms90_path) that sets the forms90_path to our test directory.
In the formsweb.cfg file, I have added an [int]section:
    [int]
    envFile=int.env
    I have stopped/restarted opmn=stopall/opemn=startall.
Unfortunately no matter what I do, I cannot get the forms in the test directory to be seen/used.
    The url I'm using is:
    http://host:port/forms90/f90servlet?config=int.env&form=formName.fmx
Is there something that I'm missing?
    Thanks,
    Shirley

The name of your webconfig is int and not int.env (this is the name of the environment file)
so your url should look like this:
    http://host:port/forms90/f90servlet?config=int&form=formName.fmx
    cheers
edit: and by the way you don't need to restart any opmn component when doing changes to the formsweb.cfg

  • Where is the "concurrent managers environment file"?

    Dear all:
can anyone tell me where is the :"concurrent managers environment file"?

    Hi,
can anyone tell me where is the :"concurrent managers environment file"?There is no specific environment file for the CM as it uses the same env file used for the application tier node (APPSORA<CONTEXT_NAME>.env under $APPL_TOP directory -- in Unix/Linux) and (envshell<CONTEXT_NAME>.cmd under %APPL_TOP% in Windows).

  • RH7 Environment Files Exchange

I have struggled with the whole confusion of RH7 environment
files, and spent a long time trying to work out how the heck to
stick pods together in a sensible layout. I now realise that
different users will have different ideas about what environmant
layout suits a particular usage: programmers will use some features
and not others; consultant Tech Authors (like me) will have their
    preferences, and so on.
So I thought I would start a Submit-and-Share service on the
    web. See
    www.authorgraphic.co.uk/robohelp_rhs_exchange.htm
Send me your favourite environment file (or two), and say why
you find each particularly useful, and under what circumstances /
    for what purpose.
The idea is help other new users to choose what would be
    helpful for them.

AutoConfig is a tool that supports automated configuration of an Oracle Applications 11i/12 instance. All the information required for configuring an Applications instance is collected into two local repositories, called the Applications context file and the database context file. When AutoConfig runs on the application tier, it uses information from the Applications context file to generate all configuration files and update database profiles. When AutoConfig runs on the database tier, it uses information from the database context file to generate all configuration files used on the database tier.
Oracle Applications uses several environment files to define environment variables. Environment files typically have a .env extension. The adovars.env file is located in the $APPL_TOP/admin directory. In the $APPL_TOP directory, APPLSYS.env and $CONTEXT_NAME.env are additional environment files. Examples of environment variables defined in the environment files are $FND_TOP, $AD_TOP, and $CLASSPATH

1.adovars.env File specifies the location of various files such as Java files, HTML files, and JRE (Java Runtime Environment) files. It is called from the main

2.Oracle Applications provides a consolidated environment file APPS<SID>.env in UNIX or APPS<SID>.cmd inWindows that sets up both the Oracle Applications and Oracle 8-based technology stack environments.

  • RoboHelp RH8 crashes when using RH7 environment file

I am just trying the RoboHelp 8 trial.
I created a new blank project.
I loaded an environment file that I use regularly in RH7 (attached as "authorgraphic_env2.txt" - just change the extension to .rhs). The environment appears, but all the tabs (the bits that stick out) are missing until I open a topic.
If I click on the Index or Glossary tab, after 5 seconds the tab disappears, and 15 seconds later, RH8 crashes, followed by the "shall I report this to Miscroft?" prompt. This has happened 4 times in a row. Repeatable fault.
    Error signature is:
    AppName: robohtml.exe AppVer: 8.0.0.203 ModName: toolkitpro1042vc80u.dll
    ModVer: 10.4.2.0 Offset: 001b2b92
    Any ideas, anyone?
(BTW, this system does not allow me to upload environment files with .rhs extension. This is daft! Please pass on...)

  • Logic Studio environment file for JV-1010

Can anyone share with me a Logic Studio (v.9.02) environment file for JV-1010?
Can anyone share with me an environment file that I can easily adapt to use with my JV-1010?
I cannot part with my JV-1010, and I am a new to Logic (Pro Tools convert).
    Thank you very much.

Just wanted to give this a bump. I was looking around the web trying to find the same for a JV-1080 and a Korg Z1, but with no luck. Anyone know of a source for finding patch lists that could be imported in Logic? Or is there a way to import/extract the info from a synth via midi?

  • Problem with initialization environment files

I'm trying to get a .profile file to work in my login environment, but it just doesn't want to cooperate. I get errors on just about everything. In fact, the only thing I've been able to get to work is the echo command. It doesn't matter whether or not I use fully qualified paths for the commands or not. Here's a short list of some of the problems.
    1. Blank lines generate the following error...
    : command not found
    2. pwd command generates the following error...
    : command not found
    3. /bin/ls command generates the following error...
: No such file or directory
    4. Echoing the PATH environment variable actually works...
    /usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11/bin
BTW, these commands work just fine from the command line. But if I manually run .profile, or have it run automatically when I launch a terminal window, these errors appear. I'm very familiar with command line interfaces as I've used a multitude of shells over the years in both Solaris and Linux environments. I just don't get what's going on with the Mac. Searching with Google has also drawn a blank, so far. I'm hoping someone has a simple answer for this.

First, by any chance did your .profile get transferred to your Mac via a Windows system so that it is now <CR><LF> terminated. That will mess up just about every Unix shell
Here are the steps I used to initially get my environment files over to the Mac.
    1. Created a tar file on a linux platform with my pre-existing environment files.
    2. Tar file was compressed with gzip.
    3. Compressed tar file was then burned to CD.
    4. CD loaded onto a Windows platform.
    5. From Windows platform, tried to email tar file to myself but it was too big to send.
    6. From Windows used WinZip to uncompress and open the tar file.
    7. Extracted the contents to a folder.
    8. Removed unnecessary files from folder to make result smaller. Also split contents of folder into multiple folders.
    9. Used WinZip to zip new folders containing necessary files into multiple zip files.
    10. Emailed zipped files to my home email account.
    11. Opened email from Mac and downloaded zip files.
    12. From a terminal window unzipped files using /usr/bin/unzip.
    13. Copied environment files to home directory with a cp –pr command.
    14. Disabled all environment files (by adding different file extensions) so I could begin experimenting with what I needed to change.
    15. Started with the .profile file by commenting out most of the file and leaving just a few commands. This is when my problems began. BTW, I used xemacs to edit the file. Xemacs was download and installed via Macports a while back in preparation for creating a development environment for myself. Getting my login environment going was my next step in the process.
    16. Since I couldn't get it to work, I then put nothing but some simple shell commands in the .profile to see what would happen. Commands like pwd, ls, and echo. And as I explained in the original post, the only thing that worked was the echo command.
Looking at the preceding steps, the files were never opened on the Windows platform… is it possible that the WinZip steps caused <CR><LF> characters to appear somehow? Or, is it possible that xemacs messed up my file? I use emacs and xemacs all the time on linux and solaris systems with no such problems. Actually, at one point in my messing with the .profile file, in frustration, I decided to open it with vi. I hate vi, but know just enough to be dangerous. What I did was to remove a blank line (remember, blank lines are generating errors too) and insert another one. I figured vi is about as basic and primitive an editor as you can get. So, if any funny control characters are present, that should at least alleviate the problem. Unfortunately, even that still generated the same error.
Have you tried a simplified .profile?
    Yes. See #16 above.
Do you have more than one shell initialization file. Bash will look for
    .bash_profile
    .bash_login
    .profile
in that order and use the first one it finds, then stop looking. If you any of the 2 earlier initialization files, bash will not bother looking at your .profile
No, I do not have more than one initialization file... at the moment. And yes, I know what bash looks for, and in what order. At the moment I am only using a .profile just to see if I can get things working. See #14 and #15 above.
I am assuming your shell is 'bash', the current Mac OS X default, however, if you started using Macs back in the Jaguar days, and have just been upgrading, then you shell might be tcsh, which would not even look at .profile, and trying to run it interactively would generate strange results when interpreted by tcsh.
And of course, it is always possible you intentionally changed your shell. If you did that would be useful information. I suspect you did not, but I figured I would ask.
Yes, I'm using the bash shell. $SHELL returns /bin/bash, and $0 returns -bash.
If your lines end in ^M, then your .profile has been DOS'ified.
Ok, I did the cat command you've suggested. BTW, thanks for the options on the cat command. I didn’t realize cat had options to show special characters. I’ve used it for years and never really looked at the man page on it. I believe there is also a way to see control characters within xemacs, but I can’t remember how to do that.
Anyway, the file is definitely showing ^M characters. My first question is, is ^M the same as <CR><LF>? The reason I ask is it may have been xemacs that put those there, or they may have already been there from the files I transferred from the linux platform. I'm pretty sure xemacs uses ^M's because whatever mode I was able to put xemacs in in the past to see control characters, I'm about 99% sure I've seen all lines ending in that. Of course, that brings me to my next question. If that's true, why do these files work on linux and solaris platforms and not OS X? Like I said, I do most of my editing with xemacs, and I know the environment files were originally created on the other platforms using xemacs.
If you have any ideas on these questions, please enlighten me. In the mean time, I'll play around with trying to get rid of the ^M's to see what happens. Not sure how I'm going to do that though since I'm not that familiar with a lot of other editors, so I wouldn't know how to load the files and remove the invisible ^M characters. I also really do not want to hand type in all my environment files if this turns out to be the problem. And if I use xemacs to perform the editing, then it'll just save the file with ^M's anyway.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Environment file deleted, how to restore it

    hi,
an environment file was deleted from a PROD database ( PROD_vision10.env ) from ( PRODDB/9.2.0 ). how to restore the file, there is no backup copy.
    pls, suggest at the earliest.
    thanks,
    charan.

if you dont have backup of the files you cannot restort it what you can do is the following, you need to do some manule steps
-you need to get your control file from the database.
(you may not need it if its path was diffrent than the one deleted you need to check the path from your database so try to connect from you client and check)
-you need to get your pfile from your database
-then you have to install the engin of your 9i database,
-you also need to reconfiger your tnsnames.ora and listern.ora
one importent thing are you sure you didnot lose any of your datafile i mean you just lose the database home without any datafile

Shamefully I asked a question similar to this on this forum some time ago. I didnt properly understand it and so I am now going back and forth with an SA in Metalink.
I am trying to follow this instruction:
Log in to the APPL_TOP environment and source the environment file.
What exactly do I do to "source the environment file".
As the APPLMGR user, if I do this:
    apcltest@TEST:. oraenv
    ORACLE_SID = [apcltest] ?
    Should I accept that?
Or should I go to the TEST_databasecl.env file in /oracli2/oracle/testappl and do something there??
I can see the .env file (it is there)....but I am confused with the term "source". To "source" is to simpy verify its there???
Such a simple step is complicating me!
    Thanks

You are right, Dan. Looks like the env file is already sourced in the applmgr user's profile (.profile).Sorry about this, I am still a little unsure about which .env file I should be looking to "source".
Ironically I have a multitude of "sources" telling me where I can find this .env file.
p22 of Banerjee's "Oracle Applications DBA Covers 11i and R12" states:
    APPLSYS.env OR SID.env
The Oracle Applications Field Guide explains (p 29):
"In the $APPL_TOP directory, APPLSYS.env and $CONTEXT_NAME are environment files"
When I check in the APPL_TOP here, I see several .env files. I would just like to know, for sure, which one to "source". They are the following:
TEST.env ( I think this is the one, since it most resembles the one quoted on pages 22-26 of Banerjee's book. It gives paths to context files, AD_TOP, APPLTMP etc, NLS_LANG )
    APPSORA.env
    APPSTEST_mydbcl.env
    TEST_mydbcl.env
    Thanks
