Yellow boxes within excel sheet on iPad
When I send an email with an excel sheet attached and I open it on my iPad (others have the same issue) it has yellow boxes in it. How can we get rid of them? It is blocking some data. I have checked formatting, comments and nothing seems to remove them.
You can try converting the top row to a Header Row and the leftmost column to a Header Column.

Problems while displaying EXCEL sheets within OUTLOOK
Dear all,
I have the following problem:
a user within the company receives sometimes emails containing excel sheets. the user wants to use/work with the preview within outlook, unfortunately the displayed values are different compared with the values if the sheet is opened with excel.
Now I'd want to ask if you had such a problem and also found a solution for that?

Does this only happen to these specific spreadsheets or all? Are these fixed manually entered value? Or references to other sources?
The previewers in Microsoft Outlook provide additional security against potentially harmful code to help protect you from malicious code,
active content embedded in attachments (including scripts, macros, and ActiveX controls) is disabled during a preview.
Thus, a preview might not show the most up-to-date content in the file. To see the most complete, up-to-date content, you need open the file in related Microsoft Office application.

We have a new Imac OS X Version 10.7.4 and we also have an Ipad 2 OS X Version 5.1.1
I have an Iphone 4S.
My question is can I put a Word Excel sheet from my main computer onto my Ipad and Iphone and update them when away from home.
I would then want to sync the updated work back onto the main computer when i return home.
Is that possible ?

You can upload some types of Excel spreadsheets to the cloud using the iWork feature on the iCloud.com website, by dragging and dropping from your computer desktop.
Once in the cloud, the document will be converted to a numbers document when opened on an iOS device, where you can make changes and save the document back to the cloud. When you come to require the document on your computer again, you will be able to download it from the iCloud.com website in one of three formats (numbers, Excel, PDF). -

It always 'marks' action points such as the bottom apps, or the search tool.
It starts every time I open an APP and stops when it has highligted every feater of it..
How can I stop this ?

Oracle function to extract data into excel sheet within a script
I have extracted data from a couple of tables onto a view. Basically I have got about 15 coloums in that view but i need to extract the data in the view into an Excel sheet.
I just want to know if their is a function in oracle whereby i can export the data in the view onto an excel sheet, because this statements is going to be scripted and run every morning for the data to be processed.

How to download internal table to excel sheet
I have a requirement to download nearly 8 to 10 internal tables to excel sheets(for each internal table one excel sheet) without displaying the diolog box showing open and save buttons.
scenario :
I will enter the path name like this - C:\myfolder\Custom_programs.xls.
C:\myfolder\Custom_tables.xls.
(File name does not exit..it has to created inside the
specified folder)
in submit button I populate 2 internal tables say it1 and it2. then I need to move the tables contents to the path I have specified above.
attach_file_to_response method is not working for the above reqt since it is showing the dialog box.
Please provide a suitable solution...Please ignore all the responders that are stating that you can use GUI_DOWNLOAD from Web Dynpro ABAP. As you found out, this absolutely will not work, since this function module and other download logic like it depends upon a connection to the SAPGUI. People posting to use the GUI_DOWNLOAD from WDA need to learn a little more about the architecture of WDA before they go posting incorrect repsonses in the forum. I have little tollerance for people posting outright incorrect information in the WDA Forum.
What you want to do - download silent - is not easily done from WDA. There are rules about how web applications must behave in a browser. Normal HTML/JavaScript does not allow silent downloads for security reasons. Obviously there are many untrustworthy websites on the internet that you wouldn't want to allow to directly access your local machine. WDA must live within these same browser limitations.
SAP has done some work using a Java Applet to get around some of these security issues. This funcitonality comes in NetWeaver 7.01. It is the AcfUpDownload UI element:

However it is designer for usage with the Content or KPro server - so even it might not meet your needs. -

we are getting error while refreshing connection on excel sheet which containing data from data source in form of power pivot.

I can't convert an Excel sheet to Numbers
I was suggested to ask my question here:
I've created a Numbers sheet on my iPad - sending it to Excel on a computer it opens and works ok. When sending the sheet back (edited on Excel and) the iPad - Numbers comes up with the following (translated from Danish) "Sheet can not be imported - File format is unvalid".
I've tried to send it as .XLSX and .XLS.
My Excel version is 2007
