Is there a way dowload ALV report into excel one of the field is check box, check box also downloaded into excel.

process should be similar in the iOS version. I do not have any iOS devices with Numbers so I cannot check. I did find this link that may help:

Yellow boxes within excel sheet on iPad

When I send an email with an excel sheet attached and I open it on my iPad (others have the same issue) it has yellow boxes in it. How can we get rid of them? It is blocking some data. I have checked formatting, comments and nothing seems to remove them.

You can try converting the top row to a Header Row and the leftmost column to a Header Column.

Check Boxes in Excel Wookbook 97-2003 Not Saving Correctly in 2010

Hello and Thank You for Your Time,
We have a large number of workbooks with selection / check boxes that were originally save in the .xls (97-2003) format.
The reasoning for saving in this format is that we have a large organization with a number of different computers running different versions of Office products.
When these .xls files are opened in 2010 and then "re-saved", the text boxes lose their positioning and the fields become overlapped.
How do we avoid this, or what exactly is happening ?

When you say "re-saved", do you mean save the workbooks to the current file format?
Convert a workbook (Excel 97-2003) to new file format (from .xls to .xlsx) will cause compatibility issues, and it will cause a significant loss of functionality or a minor loss of fidelity in an earlier version of Excel as .xlsx format is XML-based
file format, whereas .xls is a binary file format.
I would suggest you to keep working on Compatibility Mode instead of resaving these files to .xlsx files.

Check Box in PI sheet

Hi Gurus,
I'm buiding PI sheets and I would like to know if is possible to manage some checks box in the process instructions ?
For instance I have 3 cleaning tasks to execute, I know how to display them on pi sheet, but I also would like to add a checkbox in front of each cleaning instruction. In this case it should work as a "check list".and the operator could tic when each cleanning task in done.
Does anybody know how to display a checkbox in pisheet ? do I have to launch a call function ?

If you only want to create a check to know with values were selected by the user, you can use the HTML instructions with the instruction PPPI_OUTPUT_CHARACTERISTIC

Thanks for your prompt reply. However, the sources you gave do not seem to apply exactly to my situation. I have attached some screenshots that show what the dialogue box looks like for a pdf download, and what my settings in the Apps panel of Options are. You will note in the first screenshot that I have checked the box to handle this file type automatically; however, the next time I try to download a file of that type, the same dialogue box appears looking exactly like the one shown, so checking the "automatic" option appears to do nothing. The files to be downloaded from my Gmail messages are not generic or altered file types - they are shown as pdf, doc, docx, etc. So while your intent was good, your post did not help. Thanks anyway.

Unable to Check ADD Attachment Check Box. Thereby getting only email and not the attachment (which will contain the output of BO report , in Excel Format)

I have an BO related issue. I tried to schedule a smtp event in BO to email the report output as Excel. Since this report will go to different users, I unchecked the Use the Job Server's defaults (CHECK BOX). For some reason, I can't check the Add Attachment(CHECK BOX). I received the email but without attachement. Do you know why I can't use attachment. The SMTP event works perfectly if I check Use the Job Server's defaults.

PDF to Excel Check boxes

When exporting a pdf to excel no check boxes seem to make it into the excel file regardless of being checked or not.
Is there a way to include them in the conversion?

Form elements cannot be converted. Forms/ datasets simply work completely differently in both programs so there is nothing to translate.

How to check data in Data Target Browser against a Excel sheet data

Hi Experts,
I have two Data Targets with CUSTOMER as field. I would like to compare the CUSTOMER records in both the Data Targets. I saved "Data Target 1" to Excel sheet.
Now, I am thinking that somehow I need to load this Excel sheet into the "Data Target 2" to verify matching records for CUSTOMER. Let me know if this is a possibility.
Also, what would be a better way to get the list of all the matching records for CUSTOMER in two different Data Targets.

Is Customer is the Master data, if so then goto SE16, give ur master data table name /BIC/Mtable name, then execute, In the results page>menu bar> Edit>Download> Save file in Rich text format-->export the data.same way u do it for other one two.

we are getting error while refreshing connection on excel sheet which containing data from data source in form of power pivot.

- Make a new Excel file
- Open the VBA editor
- Add a Userform
- Place 2 text boxes and 1 command button on that form
- Paste all code below into the code module of the form
- Download this file:

- Save the Excel file in the directory that contain your text files
- Run the form
You can format the columns of the sheet as you like, e.g. column E:H should be a number with 5 decimal places. The top row can contain some headings. My code did not affect the formatting or the headings.
