Yellow flash just prior to desktop at start up

Just prior to getting to the desktop, there is a very short flash of yellow color on monitor.
Does this sound like software or hardware issue?

The point in Startup process you refer to is when the graphics card switches from "simple" mode (used from power on, Safe Mode, and for DVD-based Utilities and Recovery_HD) to Interrupt-driven automatic mode with the kernel extension driver.
The change-over is usually imperceptible, but it is certainly no cause for concern.

Jazzy lines appearing just prior to login on Mac Mini

I just restarted my Mac mini (for no reason other than to give it a reboot) and I noticed a strange selection of varying jazzy lines, which flashed just prior to the login screen, the screen then cleared & my login screen was displayed. I could log in OK and everything was fine after login... so far anyways. I have posted a screen shot which I managed to capture using my Iphone.
Has anyone had this problem, should I be worried and if yes, how can I/do I need to fix it before it gets worse?

The image is not displayed for me. This forum has problems displaying images sometimes.

I put everything into a folder on my desktop - then backed it up onto an external drive. Once this was done - i deleted the folder off my desktop - and following this - things started to go all weird...pages hanging, the coloured 'wheel of death' appeared for ages. So i had to employ a 'hard-boot' restart - as i had not other options.
I'm pretty sure i made copies of of files/apps/folders etc - however not so sure now as i cant even start up my laptop!!!
Can somebosy please help me urgently??!!!

Got the exact same problem, and I also did this operation many times before, from 500Gb to 750Gb, and then from 750Gb to 1 Gb. Not My HD got a little such complaining about bad sectors when in windows bootcamp, but still runs fine though.
So I bought a new 1Gb drive exactly same drive as the one thats getting sick. I did the clone thing, with super duper, CCC, DU, but no matter it will not boot when i move the new drive inside the macbook…….**** thing exuse me, but wasted so much time.
Now I get this strange feeling that something must have changed in the macbook itself. Just wondering if this could be a EFI "mac bios" prevention thing, they made just to sell more new computers, when you can't improve or fix your old one.
If so, then its pretty scary. If not then I simply can't figure out why this suddenly becomes a problem for so many people, as I see so many posts about this!!

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

I want to build a custom flash player for my desktop, using C# and Visual Studio 2008. Where do I start? I just want a real simple one to play swf files. Play, stop, loop, full screen, normal size. I'll start there. Where do I go? I've searched the web for an answer, and found several example projects that don't compile, or are incomplete. It's very frustrating. This shouldn't be that difficult.

I think you started the right way - looking for example programs.
If they won't compile, then they probably contain errors. Fix the errors until they compile. Then develop your own extensions.
This is one way of developing applications, the other way is starting from scratch.

AX working fine, but with yellow flashing light

I use my AX to stream iTunes. It works great. But it has the annoying yellow flashing light - EVEN THOUGH the airport utility displays the AX as "green" and working just fine. What can I do to stop this?
I have the AX (6.3) participating in a WDS network with WPA2. I have a Linksys WRT54G with DD-WRT firmware. Both are on channel 1. I used this guide to set up the router and AX from default settings: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/WDS#AppleAirportExpress. I have followed this guide on a previous occasion with total success. This time - Mr Yellow Flashy.

Do you only use the AX to stream music?
If you do not use it to connect to the internet then the flashing amber light is correct.
The flashing amber indicates that there is no internet connection present on the ethernet port.
You can turn off the indicator totally by changing a setting in the Airport Base Station software on your computer.

MacBook Pro 13 2010 running Mountain Lion: will not boot and shows a folder with a flashing question mark. Will not start in 'safe mode' i.e holding shift on start up - nor can I call up any utilities with the OSX shortcuts. Any thoughts?

Following an automatic update, the machine wouldn't boot. Screen came on (shows white) - then either showed a 'No-Entry' Sign and a spinning cog, or a folder with a qusetion mark. I tried to start the machine in different modes ( eg. holding shift after the tone ) but nothing worked. after leaving the machine alone for 1 hour. It worked perfectly again. I did a 'verify disk' check which found no problems. 2 hours later it then froze ( In - Photoshop). Could not force quit, so shut down, and have not been able to boot again since (white lit screen - flashing folder with question mark) . I have also taken the hard drive out and checked the connections which seem fine. Any suggestions? - Is the Hard Drive dead. : other info : It was also running parallels 8, with Windows 7. at the time of the update....

Here are two ways on windows xp 32 bit:
1. Go to Start>All Programs, find the photoshop cs5 shortcut, right click on the shortcut and click Send To and then click Desktop (create shortcut)
2, Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5, right click on the cs5 Photoshop.exe, click Send To and then click on Desktop (create shortcut)
(you'll probably have to rename the shotrcut to Adobe Photoshop CS5 after the shortcut is put on the desktop if you want it to say cs5)

Problem with the yellow flashing light on AirPort Extreme

I'm trying to use my AirPort Express and have a yellow flashing light. I contacted ISP and we tested the connection by plugging the modem into a PC directly, so there is a working connection. I tried the Airport utility and it identified an error, stating that no connection could be made
I'm not sure where to go with this, my understanding is that the AirPort Express should have no trouble communicating with modems, so it can't be an issue of hardware.
Any suggestions very welcome!

Whenever you change whatever device is connected to your modem, be sure to power down the modem first.
It will refuse to communicate with anything else, unless you do.
