Is the Intel INF driver the updated version of the chipset drivers included with the mobo ? what i'm trying to say is that i have a CD-ROM wich came with my mobo (875P NEO-FIS2R)wich includes drivers for my chipset, but i came accross the intel INF driver on the download section and now i'm wondering if it's the same, with the only diffirence that the intel INF driver on the download page is more up to date off course

Mine came with the version 5.00.1012. It was the same as listed on Intel site. I am now using the version that people have found over at Gigabyte's website. It seems like it's made my machine a bit more stable when pushing directX games to their limits. Maybe intel updated the AGP GART control in that release. That may be one reason why not all drivers may change version or date, if only certain components therein the inf update utility were changed and others left alone.
Drivers just suck! The problem is that we're not given a chance to uninstall the inf utility before installing a newer chipset inf. What it says and what it is are sometimes two VERY different things. It's like installing your video card drivers. If you have an ATi card with Catalyst 3.4 installed and install 3.6, there sometimes are possibilities (happens quite often really), that the drivers won't fully update. Only some components will, so when you go look at your driver details, some are still being used from 3.4. Maybe because the driver failed to unload? And if it's in memory (i.e. used by Windows), windows will not release permission to the resource and dis-allow overwriting/updating of the file. Like having a file open in Excel and trying to go delete it from explorer. You can't!!! At least not until you close the document out in Excel!!!
I think the same thing happens with chipset drivers. Sometimes it takes two installs to get it right. It shouldn't be that way, but sometimes it is... ?(

I'm having difficulty syncing my iCal between my home computer and iPhone. New entries from my home are not syncing with the phone and vice-versa. I didn't have any problems with this before until the latest phone update. Any suggestions?
It could be that the existing wire in your appartment is not clean enough to provision DSL only. When combined with the phone possibly it has a higher line voltage and worked before. Now that the line is to be provisioned without phone service it may be giving them trouble that did not show before they came out and ran the new line test. So a new jack dedecated for your DSL line may require a new wire be run to your appartment. Also the account for internet only used to require direct billing to a credit card or something else. This was a number of years ago. Most accounts are linked to a phone number, and without a voice number it adds to the confusion.
If you are getting the voice and everything turned on as before, then I am at a loss for words. -
Would my Macbook Pro have any problems from this?
I was using my Macbook Pro in bed and accidentally it dropped about 1 foot and 6 inches onto a carpet/wood floor. No real damage on the outside but I am worried there is damage on the inside. Also more worried because I feel like my macbook pro dies really quickly even when I'm letting it sleep. I have had it for about 3 years. Can someone help me with this?
Your welcome! That is odd your battery is draining like that.... I am lucky enough to have never needed to bring my Macbook Pro to Apple, but I have heard it's usually a quick deal, at most I've heard it can take up to a day to get your Macbook Pro back. It really depends on the particular store's workload.... To run tests and open the case up shouldn't take more than an hour, if that, but who am I to say.... The only thing I could say about your battery is, other than it is damaged on a count of the fall, maybe there is an underlying problem? Not sure, but check out activity monitor maybe, and just check the stats for the processor and memory.... I don't know if that would give any answers, but when I may have a problem, I use the tools that are given by Apple.... Why not, it doesn't hurt, right? Probably, though it's a bad battery, or the logic board is giving you trouble, and in turn, it's not actually going to sleep, when it appears to be.... So, if the issue persists, bring to an Apple Store, or someone certified by Apple, although, it would most likely cost you, going to a non-Apple Store. What model/specs is your Macbook Pro? Maybe someone else could chime in, with some input on the battery deal. I'm sure anyone's guess is as good as mine.... Oh yeah, duh on my part, go to your system report and click on power to see what it says about your battery. (If you don't know how to get there, I'm sure you do, but I should give instructions, click on the Apple logo in the upper left corner of the screen, then click About this Mac on the drop down menu. Then when that window opens, click system report, and a new window will open. Tabs are on the left side, look for power, and click on it.) It will give you a run down of it's condition, cycle count, etc... Post the results if you like....

What is the problem and how can I solve it?Some websites require a special client certficate for access. If you don't have that certficate, you'll have to contact the site operator to find out how to get one.
Sometimes the problem is caused by a web server that is configured to request an optional client certificate. Safari treats the request as mandatory. In that case, other browsers such as Firefox and Chrome may be able to connect to the site, because they ignore the request.
The first time you were prompted for a certificate, you may have clicked through a dialog that requested access to the Apple certificate in your keychain that is used to secure the iMessage service. In that case, you may be able to regain access to the site in Safari by doing as follows.

If your phone is locked to a particular carrier, you must contact them to request they unlock it. Once they've taken care of that and you've followed the instructions to complete the unlock process, you will be able to use the phone elsewhere.

Repair iTunes Security Permissions
Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties, then go to the Securitytab and click Advanced. Use the Change Permissions... button grant to your account (or the Users group) and SYSTEM full control of this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to Replace permissions entries... which will repair permissions throughout the library. When complete switch to the General tab, click in the Read-only check box to clear it, then click Apply.
If you don't have the option to change the permissions then use the Owner tab and Edit... button to take ownership from an account with administrator privileges. Tick the option to Replace owner on subcontainers and objects.
Repeat with the media folder if it isn't stored inside the main iTunes folder.
If you've brought over the library from another computer you may also want to remove any "mystery" identities (S<string of dashes & digts>) that have come over from the old computer...

No matter what wi-fi I'm connected to or browser I'm using, webpages take forever to load or they never load at all. Other computers do not have any problems. How can i fix this?
I've tried safari, chrome, firefox...I've cleared the cache as well. This has been going on for several months and used to be tolerable as it was not every website. Now it has become every website and is impossible to deal with. My roommates computer and my cell phone connect fine. I'm fully connected to the router yet websites don't load. I'm using 10.7.5. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -
On my Mac Mini, I keep getting this error message: "iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server". I don't have any problems with iCloud on my laptop / PC. It works fine... Does anyone know what the problem could be?
Your Mac must be on Lion (10.7) to run iCloud. Apple had to change the operating system to fully support it. Nevertheless, it is possible to get emails from iCloud without having Lion. Please tell me if this interests you.
