Youtube subscriptions not visible?

I've read that an update a while back (like over a year ago) was supposed to address this but I still can't see any subscriptions I've added in the past several months. Apple TV says it's fully up to date.
I've tried restarting, signing in and out of YouTube, no luck.

I figured out what was wrong. I had to chose the option where I only recurve updates from subscription only when they upload videos rather than the option that gives updates of videos that my subscriptions rated, commented etc. So if anyone else has this problem check your subscription settings on YouTube online.

YouTube thumbnails not visible on Safari

The thumbnails on YouTube are not visible on Safari. The videos play fine. The automatic seach suggestion isn't working. Also, I can't expand the video player to the medium size; I can watch in full screen and the smaller video player size. Everything is fine in other browsers such ad Google Chrome. I tried uninstalling Adobe Flash Player and reinstalling the latest version. I don't remember installing or changing any settings that might have caused this to happen. You can make the user agent fix work permanently in all windows/tabs from terminal with this:
defaults write com.apple.Safari CustomUserAgent "\"Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0\""
Note that there's a SPACE between "rv:11.0)" and "Gecko" The string is what you get from the Develop menu in Safari if you hover your mouse over one of the settings.
You can turn this off and revert to "normal" behaviour with:
defaults delete com.apple.safari CustomUserAgent
if you use this trick and pick any IE user agent setting, GMail will break if you use it from Safari, that's why I've picked the Mozilla setting.
Hope this helps until a proper fix comes along.

NO...I have only 1 accaunt...I always use 1 skype...first time i bought subscription from my Canada Visa card ..2012....croatian unlimited...then when i back to Croatia ..I bought June 2013 -1 month subscription Canada.
Now i move to Ireland..I bought Croatia Unlimited mins to landlines 1 month( 2015.07.02)with my IRELAND VISA CARD..skype charged my card...but i cant use that subscription.
From July 2 till today on my skype web page sometimes i see that subsrription(2x per day)..
So I CANCEL today.
Your subscription Croatia Unlimited mins to landlines 1 month will terminate at the end of the current billing period, which is on 2015.08.02

YouTube Subscriptions not working...

Hi and thanks for reading.
I see there are some posts on some youtube subscriptions issues in AppleTV forum but mine is an easy one and is related to my ipad and iphone.
The issue I have is that I cannot see any subscription in "my subscription" folder on both iPad and iPhone.
I have regularly signed in and I cannot understand why the list is empty.
It is not a video format issue since I have tried to search manually for some videos of some of my subscriptions and they are easily playable...
Any help?

Same here. I went to YouTube.com, unsubscribe the videos, then add them back. They come right back on my new iPad subscription.

YouTube subscription not working?

Tonight I had an odd error occur when trying to look at the YouTube and access my favorites but cannot access my subscriptions. When I try to access my subscriptions, it doesn't load and videos, but it does have a few videos in my 'New Videos' section. If I go to the channels I have subscribed to, they say I haven't subscribe to them, but if I press 'subscribe' it'll pop up a error message- "YouTube not available." When I went to YouTube on my computer, however, all my subscriptions stayed the same.
I restarted the app as well as restarted my iPod, but nothing changed. I have also tried logging out and in again.
Please help!

People are having this issue pretty much everywhere except on the actual website for YouTube. I personally am having it on my iPad, iPhone and Apple TV and I've seen people on Twitter with the issue on Xbox.

Google calendar subscription not visible in iCal

Hi folks, I'm trying to subscribe to a shared Google Calendar through the ICAL (.ics) protocol.
Although iCal seems happy enough with the URL I provided it and shows a calendar under "Subscriptions", none of the shared events is showing up in iCal. I don't mean that event details are not showing up, I mean nothing is showing up, not even free/busy blocks.
I downloaded the .ics file from the URL and viewed it in a text editor, and it appears to contain all the information, with the start/end dates and times, etc. It's just not showing up in iCal's calendar views.
Any clues?

Not Visible in iTunes and YouTube doesn't Connect in 2.3

I was happily working away with ATV until upgrade 2.3 and iTunes 8 came out. Since then, I have reverted back to factory reset several times and find that this is the only reliable setup, I'd love to have my MobileMe gallery and YouTube working again but it is more important to have the kids' videos and the family photos available.
I have an MBP, iTunes 8.02, Time Capsule (mixed N&G not hidden), ATV. What's working is the following:
Movie Trailers
MobileMe Gallery
Flickr
I have however lost the following
Visibility from the MBP iTunes
YouTube doesn't connect
It looks as if this is another factory reset and resync of the 100GB of movies/photos/music again..... I am getting really ticked off by all of this.
Can anyone out there answer the following
what have YouTube and iTunes visibility have in common?
why isn't Apple more responsive to the numerous posts?
how can this be resolved?
I understand that there are many posts out there on this but many speak of equipment incompatibilities but I am totally Apple. Any help would be appreciated and I will detail the solution for my circumstance if I get one.

here is what i posted a bit ago. 1st i believe u need the 2.3 upgrade for utube.
i have x10.5.6 imac and i did this:
if you have ANY problems with ATV, first thing you do is (on your mac) go to finder, applications, utilities, disk utility, then click on the disk containing itunes (mac HD for me) then choose "repair disk permissions". i then rebooted.
next if (or when) the device doesn't show (in itunes), go on ATV - settings, general, network, configure wireless (u will have to choose your network and input your password again) then done. that makes my device show up.
if the connect to itunes grays out do the above again, *don't choose to disconnect from itunes!* this seems to work to resume the connection, rather than start all over again.
This is what i kept doing - starting over, using reset and also stopping the current sync connection. this is what u should NOT DO.
the first item (utility disc correct) fixes the firewall problem (so far anyway) i have accept all incoming on my mac firewall, but not on my router (belkin) no problems since i have followed all this stuff i am writing.
make sure all the items you want to see in your ATV are check marked in your itunes, otherwise itunes thinks you don't want to view those items.
let itunes automatically choose, as long as you have everything checked it should all show up.
when itunes chooses, some items are streamed, some are synced. UNCHECK the "show only synced items" i have never had any luck with the custom
if (when is more like it for me) the itunes stops syncing, now i click sync again or go in the ATV and redo all that network gobbledegook - i changed my password so it was easier to type in! - and it continues from where it left off! REPEAT, DO NOT CANCEL AND START OVER ON THE SYNC TO ITUNES, that is what i kept doing and it was continuously reloading everything.
you do have to keep itunes on, though, and i have my settings so my computer is never put to sleep (but my monitor goes to standby) I am not brave enough right now to try the custom, as i said it seems that keeps disappearing on me. hope this works for you

Update Did Not Fix YouTube Subscription Bug

Before 4.2, Apple TV sorted your YouTube subscription videos by latest/newest video. Now, it's sorted randomly which hurts the user and viewing experience, because we have no clue if the said subscription/channel has posted a new video or not. (and some of my subscriptions have over 400 videos posted)
Could you PLEASE revert back to the sorting order before 4.2 OR give us a way to list videos by date added, most viewed, and top rated when viewing a YouTube subscription?

New version of app with subscription and newsstand support not visible in App Store

This might be more question aimed on Apple Support, but maybe someone had similar experience. Today at morning i've released new version of App for customer. This version have two main news - support for newsstand and subscription. Old version disappeared from App Store, but new one is not visible on any market. i'm quite confused, anyone have idea what happened?

I have this porblem now. My app is out from app store, because I delete the subscription in my app with newsstabd enable.
I'm a little confused, because I submit a new subscription - with a new product ID - because I can't reuse the first.
Apple don´t allow me update a new app without newsstand. Until now I hadn´t answer from apple about the new subscription and my app continuous nor visible in app store, but the status is "ready to sale".
At least, Apple should me send a message about this issue.
All the problem started because I set the tier price to subscription the same value to retail price (tier 3), then when I changed the tier price to amount the period subscription - 6 months (tier 90). This price (tier 90) was set to the retail folios too, so my magazine turned the most expensive in App Store!!!
Please, I'd like and I need to understand better how set differents prices to retail and subscription, because something happened wrong in my first try

"podcasts" is not visible in iTunes after software update

iTunes no longer shows "podcasts" as a category. I have several active subscriptions--they seem to have disappeared. All of the other usual categories (e.g., music, TV shows) are still there. This occurred immediately after I downloaded today's iTunes upgrade. I have tried downloading more podcasts. That happens fine--but they are not visible from iTunes after the download.

I can re-check the "podcasts" box in the Windows version. It's not grayed out. But there doesn't seem to be any way to save my changes. Didn't the "preferences" dialog box used to have a "save changes" button at the bottom?

Hardly any of my YouTube subscriptions work with my Apple TV using the latest software (24Aug2011).

Since the recent 4.3.3? update on my Apple TV Gen 2 I've noticed most of my youtube suscription channels display the channel name in the list but their channels are empty when I select them and some just display 3 random videos i.e. not the latest three videos...what's going on? This used to work fine!!! I can search for the videos and they play fine so it's not permissions on youtube it's 100% apples buggy untested software update.
Seriously Apple how can you allow this update into production without properly testing the youtube subscription channels!? surely it's gotta be a big thing to test!?
Please patch this asap and don't open a whole bunch of new bugs along the way! you end up resolving one issue and creating another 5! help!
Yes I've tried reboots and resets and none work!!!! it worked fine then a few seconds later I updated my ios software on the device and this problem occurred...grrrrrr

ATV 2 4.2 build 8F191m - YouTube subscriptions and sort order

Is there a way to get subscriptions to sort by latest or newest?

I have just noticed this behavior as well. I can't tell what they are sorted by. PBSNewsHour as an example is not sorted by date, rating, views or alphabetically. It just seems random. Unless the UI is changed the only logical way to sort youtube subscriptions is to put the newest first.
Be sure to let Apple know about this if you are having the problem.

Firefox, most of window is blacked out, menues area is transparent, menus not visible. Website is loading behind blackout. Complete uninstall has been tried.

The problem started after doing a Windows 7 disk cleanup. When I open Firefox the screen where the body of the website is is blacked out and the menu bars are not visible. I can tell Firefox and websites are loading because I can guess where address bar is and type website and when I hover over address bar it will read name of website. Also, when I open a Firefox icon that had been saved to my desktop of a youtube link, the video will play visibly in Firefox, but the rest of the screen will be blacked out.
I have tried a full uninstall and installation [including deletion of registries and all that]. All windows for Firefox, including the one that asks to make it default browser, profile maneger, etc. show up blacked out, so I can't try to make new profiles and all that. I even restored my computer to earlier point. Please help. I'm posting this message from Internet Explorer.

in case this doesn't solve the issue or does not apply to your system, start firefox into safemode '''by pressing the shift key while the application is launching''' & disable hardware acceleration in the firefox ''menu ≡ > options > advanced > general'' (that setting will take a restart of the browser to take effect).

Podcasts episodes not visible and not updated

Since 2 weeks I have noticed that in iTunes for Windows new postcasts episodes are no longer visible in the Postcast section. The result is that as no updates are shown (also not after using the refresh option) the new episodes are not downloaded either.
The strange thing is that when I look in the iTunes Store or create a Smart playlist with Grouping set to Podcast the episodes are visible.
Any suggestions why the episodes are not visible and not updated?

Does this fit your situation? iTunes will stop updating a podcast subscription if you have more than five episodes downloaded but not listened to, as detailed in this page:

You've subscribed to a podcast but have more than five unplayed episodes. iTunes will stop automatically downloading newer episodes. You may get the following message:
iTunes has stopped updating this podcast because you have not listened to any episodes recently. Would you like to resume updating this podcast?
You can click Yes to continue downloading additional episodes. Or you can just listen to any part of any episode and a new episode will download at the next update.
