Z68A-G43 (G3): errors reported with newest MemTest86+ 5 beta, MemTest86 4.2
I have a Z68A-G43 (G3) with a Sandy Bridge Celeron G540 and BIOS ver. 4.3., and the diagnostics MemTest86 ver. 4.2 and MemTest86+ ver. 5.00 beta 1 - beta 6 report thousands of errors when parallel core selection is enabled. No errors are reported if parallel mode is deactivated. The memory is 1600 MHz 4GB Samsung (1-4 modules tried at a time), but results were identical with 1-2 8GB Corsairs. Older versions of the diagnostics, MemTest86 ver. 3.5b and MemTest86+ ver. 4.2.0, show no errors, even when the memory is overclocked.
Has anyone else had better luck running these diagnostics with a Z68 chipset?
I get the exact same results when each DIMM is tested individually (Samsung, Crucial), including with the updated MemTest+ ver. 5.00 RC1. Even the error bits and locations are identical.

Error reporting with web service call
Hi Experts,
We have a unique requirement of logging errors or exceptions throughout the message lifecycle to a Logging System via a web service call.
If error occur during message processing, is there any way to trigger an error message from every step of message pipeline which will invoke a web service ?
Please share your views on it.
We are using PI7.3 Java only stack.

You can try using a try/catch block in your UDF and write the logging lookup logic in catch block.
It can catch some exceptions(For example response message parsing). Just give a try.

Error on running reports with filters/security

Hi, I am trying to run a report with filters/security defined via Business View. When I run the report as administrator, I am able to view successfully. However, when I login as test/dummy account which filters my parameters, I am getting such error - "A request was cancelled. The necessary security privileges could not be verified. According to your description that you are migrating SSRS 2008 R2 reports to SSRS 2012 SP2, after migration you got some error like “The Uri string is too long” which only occurred when accessing the drill-through actions, right?
Usually, the issue can be caused when you try to pass some parameters that cause the URL length to exceed 65,520 characters for a Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Reporting Services (SSRS 2012), you cannot render the report, and you may receive the following error
message:
The value of parameter 'param' is not valid. (rsInvalidParameter).Invalid URI: The Uri string is too long.
This is an known issue and already have the hotfix SQL Server 2012 Service Pack1 Cumulative Update 9 (CU9) as you know, you can try to reinstall this hotfix to fixed this issue:

Hi,
I am running Crystal Reports viewer on IIS6.0 and windows server 2003, which was installed using the redistributable package that comes along with Visual Studio 2005. We open these reports through a web based application 1 which is run on a different application pool on IIS. We have about 3 to 4 other web applications runing on the same IIS. All the other Web applications are working fine.
This web application 1 has 2 parts - one is the normal data display quiries from the back end SQL server 2005 and the other is the Crystal Reports which also quires data from SQL Server 2005. At times i find that these reports all of them throw an error - Load Report Failed. At the same time the Part 1 of this application does work fine in showing the data that is queried from the database. Moreover at this stage, I dont find any errors in the Event viewer. If i restart this application pool alone, the reports starts working fine again.
I had gone through a few of the news groups and have made all the necessary permission related changes like the TEMP Folder, ASP.NET temporary folder, the folder in which the crystal reports is placed etc but still the same error throws up after some point in time. Wanted to know if there is any special configuration required on the Application pool when it comes to Crystal Reports. We have bout 10 to 15 users using this application for testing and it only throws this error at times and not always.
Looking forward to any kind of solution from your side.

Yes I too have been fighting this problem. I was using a XML Data file and schema file for my u201Cdatabase templateu201D in the report. I would then run my query using the .NET SQLClient then fill the report with my dataset table using the SetDataSource method from the ReportDocument object.
I tried both embedded and runtime loaded reports all worked fine on my development machine but would NOT work on my production server. I use all the server installs, played with user rights, registering DLLu2019s still nothing. I went as far as creating a winform app to fix the problem. I then had exactly the same problem, I was catching the error and it originated from the viewer control in both winform and webforms.
What finally worked for me was to attach to the database using OLE DB instead of XML/schema (xml/xsd) datasource then pasting my SQL Query into the database connection command this gave me the fields to build the report. I actually used the u201CSet Database Locationu201D Dialog in Crystal Reports so I didnu2019t have to redesign my report. This dialog works very weird but I managed to figure it out. I then used an embedded report and all seem to be well. I think there is a problem with the Crystal Reports .NET Server Install and Merge Modules used with .NET with XML files, but I cannot be sure, all I know is this worked for me.
I am concerned that if my database server is moved or renamed my report might break because the server connection is embedded in the report, but for right now it is working. I thought that was the reason for using the xsd file was to eliminate the dependence on a server connection in the report.
Good luck and I hope this helps you fix your problem too. If it does please let me know I have see so many reports of people asking questions about this problem and it seems like most are left hanging.

Error when trying to open a WEBI report with OpenDocument.jsp
I have a weird problem, i'm trying to open a WEBI report with OpenDocument.jsp and I get the following error message
An error has occurred: Could not find the document.
the weird thing is that this error only occurs when i use Internet Explorer. When i use the same link with Google Chrome, i see my report.
How do I make this work, our standard web browser is Internet explorer.

I have a SQL Server Reporting Services report that has a textbox within a Report with variations of the following expression
=Sum(IiF(Fields!RegisterID.Value = 6000, 1, 0)
and
Iif(Fields!PointID.Value = 500, 1, 0)) / Sum(Iif(Fields!PointID.Value = 500, 1, 0))
I see the following error when I try to preview the report:
The Value expression for the text box ‘Textbox2’ uses an aggregate expression without a scope. A scope is required for all aggregates used outside of a data region unless the report contains exactly one dataset.
What am I missing in this this expression to make it run incorrectlyCan you include dataset name in your sum functions? e.g. Sum(IiF(Fields!RegisterID.Value = 6000, 1, 0)

Error (ORA-01403) saveing data form a report with apex_item items

I've a problem saveing data that's inserted into a report which I created using apex_item items. Reproducing the exact issue on apex.oracle.com will take me a lot of time, and I don't know if I really can reproduce this matter... So I hope I can explain my problem clearly enough, here...
The global story of the application is that its an application used for measureing objects. For these objects there are templates, with default properties. When measureing an object, the user must fill in those properties for the object. The report is build dynamicly, becouse each object has different properties and each property could be of an other kind (number, text, list, counter [=number field with add and substract buttons], and date). Depending on the type of the property, the report has to show an other item to fill.

end;After running this process, the application branches back to the page, clearing the cache and set some items I use for filtering an other report with their own values.
Both the process and the branche have a 'when button pressed' condition, where the same button is filled in. The branche fires on submit: after processing.
When I hit the button to save the data, I get an error: ORA-01403: no data found
In the debug info I can find there is encountered an unhandeled exception in the process, but I don't know what's going wrong...
I thought it could be something with the date field, I want to save, so I put it in a to_date() with the right format, but I still got the error...
I've also checked if the query which fetches the nextval of the sequence is correct, and it is, no typeing error in the sequence name, or something.

Changed some code of the javascript, it directed to the wrong item ID, now its correctMy problem is solved. The error occured when application item g_f41 was accessed, so my application couldn't find the data, the user putted in there. I now pasted this part of the sql, to the other apex_item field, so it became one field and now it works correctly:

Hi All,
I pasted the error report info below that the most recent error brought up. My MacBook Pro will, on occasion, freeze up on me and usually turn the monitor completely black. This also happens occasionally when trying to boot up from a Standby mode, the system just never recovers and the monitor stays black. A couple times the monitor has stayed up displaying the last screen before the freeze and the system will just be frozen. The keyboard stays lit up however. I end up having to hard power down the laptop (by holding the power button for 4 seconds) and booting it back up.
I'm assuming it's a hardware issue, if the below info has any indicators as to what might actually be the problem it would be greatly appreciated if you could share that with me =)

My iCal has frozen after I tried to paste info from an email into a reminder. I get a "server reports an error" message with what I tried to paste in the box. Calendar is frozen and will only close by forcing it. Any help?
Did another window open with the pasted information? If so, try hitting "enter/return" key and "delete" key at the same time. That should get rid of the current action on the ical, the extra window should go bye-bye, and all should be fine with the world.

Error in Generating reports with large amount of data using OBIR
Hi all,
we hve integrated OBIR (Oracle BI Reporting) with OIM (Oracle Identity management) to generate the custom reports. Some of the custom reports contain a large amount of data (approx 80-90K rows with 7-8 columns) and the query of these reports basically use the audit tables and resource form tables primarily. Now when we try to generate the report, it is working fine with HTML where report directly generate on console but the same report when we tried to generate and save in pdf or Excel it gave up with the following error.

Apex 2.2.1- error in editing a report withIE 6: ORA-20001- Checksum error

I'am getting an Error when I try to edit a report with Internet Explorer 6: ORA-20001-...- Checksum error.
With Firefox it works fine.
Customer is using IE as standard browser and Firefox is not available here.
Any Ideas?

I am using the JRC to export to a PDF file a report that has a sub report within it. Both the main and subreport connect to an Oracle database via an Oracle ODBC connection and both share a single parameter, RUN_ID. I need to set a value for the parameter in both reports. not. I am not sure why the update to set the RUN_ID in the second SQL query fails, but it seems to me the JRC is not detecting it as a missing parameter and is passing the SQL including {?RUN_ID} to Oracle, causing the JDBC driver to fail with this NullPointerException. I think this because further up in the log I see this:-INFO - Executing query: SELECT v.* FROM v_ger_main vwhere v.run_id = 254INFO - Verifying databaseINFO - Executing query: SELECT h.* FROM v_ger_av_ls_tagging hwhere h.run_id = {?RUN_ID}ERROR - QueryEngine error: verify database failed.Both connections are from the same database, but the first has the updated value (254) whilst the second query still seems to have the parameter and so fails to verify.Can someone suggest how I can fix this problem or if I have missed something that is required?Thanks.Jon.Post Author: Ted Ueda

What happens if, instead of passing in parameter field values, you pass the report source object to the viewer (ReportViewerBean for stand-alone or CrystalReportViewer for web)? The viewer should introspect the report for the parameter fields and bring up a parameter field entry dialog box. Does such a dialog box come up? Is only the main report parameter field queried for, or both main and subreport paramter fields? When you enter correct values for the field, does the report display?
Hopefully, the above should narrow down the issue.
By the way, JRC doesn't support ODBC connections, only Java based connectivity such as JDBC, JavaBeans and XML. If you have a report with ODBC, then it looks for a JNDI connection with the same name.

Hello Everyone.
I've run into something quite strange and am hoping you can help me.
I am using Apex 4.0.1 and Oracle version 10.2.0.5. I've created a "classical" report in which the underlying SQL is a very simple:
select * from pvtabThe Oracle table pvtab consists of 419 columns, all of which are varchar2(88) and number type. That's it.
When I run the report, al of the columns show up as expected.
However, when I go into the "Report Attributes" tab and click on one of the fields (any of them, it doesn't matter which one), I immediately get the following error:
ORA-20503: Current version of data in database has changed since user initiated update process. current checksum = "598CAA7B68746A66F4B99E1512C36DED" application checksum = "0"If if replace the "*" with a few actual column names, then I am able to access any of these columns without problem.
If I put back the "*", I then encounter this error again.
I have never seen this error with other SQL SELECT statements in which I use the "*" qualifier to retrieve all columns from the table.
And so, I am wondering if the error is caused because of the large number of columns (419) in my table.
I've seen this same error mentioned in connection with forms but never with a report.
So, is there some limit to the number of columns one can have in a "classic" or interactive report?
Any idea why I would be getting this error?

Happens whether using <tt>select *</tt> or including all column names in the query. (I know you don't want to type all the column names, but I'd never use <tt>select *</tt> in a production application: always use a proper column list. You can get one without typing by drag-and-drop of a table in most IDEs, or a query from <tt>user_tab_columns</tt>.)
I hit the problem at 274 columns. Such an arbitrary number leads me to think that the problem is not one of the number of columns per se, but is due to some other limit (possibly a 32K VARCHAR2/RAW buffer somewhere).
Workaround:
Updates to the report column attributes are actually being saved, and you can navigate them using the Page Definition tree view as described in Appendix B.

This is probably a bug. If you have a support agreement with Oracle raise an SR with Oracle Support.

Error while integrating OBIEE report with EBS using Rich Content Container
I am trying to integrate OBIEE report with EBS using Rich Content Container OAF functionality. I have followed the steps mentioned in oracle Note - Embedding Analytics in Oracle E-Business Suite [ID 974422.1]. When i run my page, the container region comes up with the error message - The requested URL /pls/ghrfpkd2/OracleSSWA.Execute was not found on this server. Can someone please help me with some documents on the steps to integrate OBIEE with EBS using Rich Content Container.
I'm getting the same error on WebSphere 6.1.5. Is there any solution for this?

Navigation Controls on Reports
Hi Can anyone tell me how to move the navigation control on my report. I set the pagestrem=yes, the Page Navigation Control Type to Text and the Page Navigation Control Value with the default code, and the only thing i get is just 5 buttons on the lo
